I was sure I shared a review for this book back when I first read it in 2016, but I can’t find that review so I reread it again this weekend to refresh my memory.
How’s with most titles in the blessing print from entangled this is a nice, sweet, “cotton candy fluff” kind of a romance novel. Which is actually my favorite kind of romance novel.
Yasmin has always been the stereotypical perfect Greek daughter, bought a brush with death has your questioning all the “safe” choices she’s always made. Determined to really start living to the fullest, she creates a “bouquet list.” this is the opposite of a bucket list. Things she wants to accomplish an experience now that she knows she’s not dying. Number five on the list: seduce a handsome, out-of-her-league man, like her brother‘s super-successful best friend, Lane (who she’s always had a crush on). But Lane isn’t the type of guy to go for a fling, and this bouquet list might not lead Yasmin to the happiness she thinks it will.
This is a low-spice, closed door romance with just enough tension to keep you turning the pages as Yasmin and Lane explore their possibilities. It’s cute and fun. And it was enjoyable enough to reread again without feeling like I had already been there/done that, even if it’s not quite one of my “read it again and again” favorite books.
