After finishing this book, I don't know what the author put in this book, whether it was crack or some other kind of addictive substance, because this story was truly that addictive. I did not want it to end nor did I want to put it down, although there were times I had no choice but to. The story was mesmerizing and captivating and took me on a roller coaster ride like no other. I was a complete emotional wreck. I have been reading her books since the beginning of her career, and she just keeps getting better and better. So exicted to see what she comes up with for her next book.

Thank you, Lake Union Publishing, for the advance reader copy.

The writing is quite easy to read. But it holds emotions and a good portrayal of realistic characters.

The voices of the characters stand out and you will enjoy the book till the end.

It took a while for me to read the book. I did find some parts somewhat repetitive.

Overall a nice cosy read.

This book hit me right in the feels. It follows Nova Lefleur, who comes back home after fifteen years of being held captive, only to find her world turned upside down. Everyone and everything she knew has changed, and it’s a lot to take in.

The story’s got serious emotional punch, and the writing feels so real and heartfelt. Nova’s pain and strength shine through, but I’ll be honest, some parts were a bit uncomfortable for me to read. The betrayal she faces on top of her trauma is intense and not exactly uplifting. A few plot twists felt a bit predictable, but the deep characters and raw emotions totally carried the story for me.

This isn’t a feel good book, (at least not for me) but it’s a powerful one. It digs into betrayal, resilience, and the messy, beautiful bonds of love with so much care. The way the author captures what it’s like to return to a world that’s moved on is just so good.

Big thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read “A Sky Full of Love” early. It’s a story I won’t forget anytime soon.

What comes after. Nova is back after 15 years of captivity but what she finds isn't at all what she expected or hoped for. Her sister Leah has married her husband Quinton. Wow. Lots of potential but this isn't subtle. Much melodrama. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Over to others.

a very gripping story about nova, who is rescued after being taken and in captivity for fifteen years. we follow her and her sister as their family dynamics completely adjust to nova's return. this was an very emotional read, and i really enjoyed seeing the way that nova's family was there for her and supporting her the best they could. but girllllll things got MESSY. and honestly, i was here for the drama of it all. i couldn't stop reading because i wanted to see how everything was going to unravel, spiral, and conclude.

every single character was going through it. they all show their true colors, sometimes in the worst of ways. there were times where i felt as if they were all being selfish considering what nova was going through, but they were all dealing with their own personal issues so it was understandable. i will say, i wasn't aware that religion/christianity was going to play such a big part in this story and had i known that, i probably wouldn't have read this so if that's something that might either disinterest/interest you, know that it does come up a lot in this book. besides that, i had a good time with it!

Lots of love, joy, and happiness resulting from trauma and misunderstandings and betrayals, A Sky Full of Love builds through a family’s struggles to a sweet ending. Easy to read and tender with some very difficult topics.

Thanks to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Kidnapped for 15 years Nova is finally found by the kidnapper's family. This novel about betrayal, strength, and the unbreakable bonds of family was quite an interesting read. In all the time she was away, Nova never forgot her family, it was what gave her the strength to survive. Yet so much had happened during those years she was gone, everything had changed and she had to re-adapt herself to the present. Her daughter is now 17, her father has since passed away, and her sister Leah is now married. However, there are still secrets that could tear them apart. This was an emotional read, yet one that I had compassion for. My thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lorna Lewis wrote a strong story and had characters that I was looking for from the description. The characters were everything that I was wanting and was on the journey with them. It was a strong concept for the genre and was glad I got to read this.

A thought provoking account of some of the most horrific things a human being can endure. This book explores themes, behaviours and acts that are difficult to read about but is written in such a way that the feelings of hope and courage shine through. Leah, Nova and Quinton are portrayed beautifully. Complex, heartbreaking and brilliant.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This book made me cry, it made me think, but most of all it brought some perspective to my life. When things seem like they’ll never get better, with the help of family and friends, it can and it will.

Nova was kidnapped and kept hostage for 15 long years. During her captivity, her thoughts and memories of her family kept her going. Once she was finally rescued, she realized that her life would never be the same. Secrets were being kept from her, she barely knew her family, and everything in the outside world was new and different. It would take everything she had and everyone she knew to help her acclimate to this new life.

This is written with such a profound insight into people’s emotions and the strength it takes to persevere through hardship, it’s impossible not to be touched by this story.

Thank you, NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for the advanced reader copy.

4 Stars for A Sky Full of Love by new to me author Lorna Lewis, published by Lake Union Publishing. The story flows like a river, sometimes smooth, sometimes stormy, but always beautiful.
Nova, Leah and Quinton had to endure what nobody should endure and all of them have the scars to prove it.
Nova has to re-enter society and klugscheißer Leah's world is crumbling around her. It would have been a 5 star read for if there wasn't the rushed, shallow and not convincing hea. All in all a good read, well written.

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for gifting me an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Give me a swampy cover with Spanish moss on a tree and I will request it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

I really, really enjoyed this read. I thought the plot and subject material was very inventive/original and that kept me very invested in the story. I also thought that the characters were extremely well-written and there was a lot of depth to them. I loved the dynamics of the three "main" characters and their relationships with each other - there were a lot of intricacies between the three and it made for very interesting reading. This was fresh and difficult and beautiful all at the same time, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves contemporary fiction reads. I look forward to finding more of this author's work! Four stars.

An interesting read. I appreciated where the story ended, but there were times that I wanted the author to make different choices.

From beginning to end, this is a gripping read. Imagine being abducted and returning to hear that your husband is now married to your sister! How do you go on? What will your life be like? And imagine being that sister, how does she feel?
All this and more are answered in A SKY FULL OF LOVE. I rejoiced and cried along with these characters. A great emotional read.

Lorna Lewis does a great job of pulling you into this family and having the reader in feelings from sadness, to happiness, to grief to growing. The characters are very well described that you feel as if you've met them before. I found myself so into this story that time passed quickly. And I learned so much about myself when it comes to handling life situations. I would definitely recommend this book over and over!
