Wow! Such an action packed book with so many twists and turns. Just when I thought I had it figured out, the storyline turned on me.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher. All words are my own.

Fans of this author may like this book. It definitely had some twists.
However, I found the characters unlikeable and the plot was not believable, confusing and difficult to follow. I was disappointed that I didn't enjoy it more.
All opinions are my own.

All I can say is “WOW”!!! This book was phenomenal! It reads like a main stream psychological suspense but it doesn’t have the language and graphic content like a main stream book. And talk about the twists! There were twists all the way through until the very end. It just blew my mind! I can’t say enough great things about this book. This is one that I will keep thinking about and it will stay with me for a while! I definitely recommend this book and all of Jesssica Patch’s books.
I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.
I really wish I could give this book more than 5 stars! It deserves at least 10!!!!

“The Other Sister” is an engrossing psychological thriller that hooks you from the first page and refuses to let go. The story is brilliantly paced, with a plot that twists and turns in ways you won’t see coming. It’s one of those books you’ll find impossible to put down, as every chapter leaves you eager for more. A must-read for fans of thrillers!

This book was phenomenal! I couldn't put it down. Action packed from the first page, so many unexpected plot twists but the last one made my jaw literally drop! Would give this book 10 stars if I could!!

I really enjoyed this and flew through it. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC!

This book is not for the faint of heart, but if you are looking for a book that will suck you in and not let you go until the very last jaw-dropping page, this is it! I would describe this book as a mix of Flowers In The Attic and Peyton Place. I would also describe it as a split-time novel as it tells about the current story with glimpses into the past. Charlotte Kane lives in Chicago where she is trying to make ends meet, then she gets word that her mother has passed away from an overdose. Charlotte finds out that she has an identical sister and reaches out to her. Her name is Acelynn and she agrees to come to Chicago and meet Charlotte. Due to a mix-up, Charlotte winds up taking Acelynn's place. When she arrives in Savannah, she is in for a shock. Who can she trust, are they a friend or a foe? I don't want to give any spoilers, but this book will have you saying "What just happened!" I want to thank Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an early copy of this book. I will be ordering a physical copy and will be rereading it.

The Other Sister by Jessica R. Patch was a page-turning, twisty, thriller that will have you wanting for more.

This one was hard to put down! Well written and sufficiently suspenseful, with flashbacks to “then” of a girl growing up full of darkness. I love the twists and turns!

This story was a wild ride. Twins separated at birth, murderous gangsters, high society, interior design, and more secrets than you can shake a stick at - this book has it all.
I don't want to give too much away about the plot but suffice it to say that nothing is as it seems. The entire story is very high-paced and while some bits are maybe a little too coincidental and convenient, it's definitely entertaining and will keep you guessing!

Awesome, exciting, suspenseful, surprising, and hard to put down are just a few words to describe The Other Sister. I hope there will be a sequel at some point. Highly recommend this book...just be sure to save a period of time to read. You won't find a place you feel is a good stopping point. 5 stars plus.

Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Love for providing a copy of this book.
What if stepping into your twin’s life reveals secrets that could destroy yours?
When struggling Charlotte Kane discovers she has an identical twin, Acelynn Benedict—raised in comfort and affluence—she can’t resist peering into a world she’s always longed for. But a tragic twist forces Charlotte to assume her sister’s identity, and the glamorous existence she once envied quickly proves darker than she ever imagined.
Suddenly, no one in Acelynn’s circle is who they seem. Deceptions, betrayals, and brutal crimes lie just beneath the polished surface. As Charlotte scrambles to untangle the truth, every step drags her further into a lethal web. Yet the alternative—returning to her old life—promises a fate just as dire.
Why You’ll Love It
• Psychological Thriller Edge: With twists around every corner, the suspense and tension never let up.
• Layered Characters: Charlotte’s desperation, Acelynn’s secrets, and a cast of both compassionate and chilling personalities keep you guessing.
• Dark & Gritty Tone: Themes of abandonment, abuse, and murder will appeal to readers seeking a more intense thriller experience.
• Subtle Faith Element: Threads of mercy and hope weave throughout, although the spiritual aspects remain understated compared to typical Christian fiction.
Content Note
• Scenes of violence, addiction, and sexual content
• Mature themes that may not align with conservative Christian fiction expectations
The Other Sister is an enthralling read for fans of gritty thrillers who don’t shy away from tough realities. With its pulse-pounding plot and moral complexity, it challenges you to ask: How far would you go for a chance at a new life—and what shadows might you discover in the darkness?

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review-
Charlotte discovers she has a twin and she has everything money could buy- each adopted but raised different,
They meet for the first time and realize how much they look alike but how different they are, when her sister is killed she pretends to be her but this life isn’t what she thought- friends become enemies, boyfriend or not? What will happen in this new life? Can she escape her past?

This was definitely an attention getter!
Lots of twists and turns that I never saw coming. Some of it even made the hairs stood up on the back of my neck.
It's sad and true that some people are never what they seem. That they're always hiding something.
People always end up showing their true colors.
This is what I love about this authors works. She's my go to for excellent thriller reads.
I loved every minute of it. It was so good I couldn't put the book down! Wow! I was literally kept on the edge of my seat.
Amazing characters that will leave you thinking about them long after this book is over.
5 stars from me for keeping me engaged. I definitely highly recommend.
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

This psychological thriller was utterly show stopping! The "keep you up at night" suspense is absolutely riveting and I was completely hooked from the first page. The storyline was incredibly brilliant. The story was far from predictable and the conclusion unbelievably jaw dropping.
Warning: Despite the intriguing plot, this book crossed the line of dark and twisted that made me uncomfortable. If you are a sensitive reader, you may want to take this into consideration before reading. There were also numerous insinuations of sexual innuendo found throughout the book. Jessica R. Patch is a very gifted author, so if these types of things don't bother you, definitely give it a try!
*I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are completely my own.

I just finished reading The Other Sister by Jessica R. Patch and it did not disappoint!
I can only describe it as a mixture of revenge, love and murder. The characters in the book are all running away from someone or something and the suspense continues to build. The shocking twists are constantly surprising and never seem to end. A good mystery will have you guessing to the end and "The Other Sister"kept me second guessing myself right to the last page....I was totally not prepared! Great book and highly recommend to anyone who likes a good suspense/mystery.
Thank you for the opportunity to read The Other Sister,
G.M.

Wow! What a fantastic book! The writing is pure genius. There are so many twists and turns and surprises that popped up everywhere. My jaw literally dropped by the time I was at the epilogue. Mind blown.
The characters are written brilliantly! Charlotte is like yin and yang. She's almost constantly fighting the darkness. Tillie is one of my favorites. She is tender hearted, compassionate, and loyal. Detective Christian Patrick is kind and endearing. He has a keen sense of finding the truth, and he pursues it. Acelynn, Biance, Teddy, and Ford - well, I hope that I never meet people like these in real life.
There are some difficult issues brought up. Abandonment, rape, murder, betrayal, and deception. But, there's also hope, the realization of being loved and a promise of a better future.
I was provided a complimentary copy of the book from Harlequin via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Other Sister was a fascinating psychological thriller. Every time I thought I had it figured out, I found that I didn't have it all. And the ending. I totally wasn't ready for that!

Jessica R. Patch has hit it out of the park...clean psychological thriller! The Other Sister is a tale of unexpected twists and turns from the first page to the last! Buckle up and don't forget to put on a neck brace because it is a twisty, topsy-turvy, high-speed ride!

This book was outstanding!! Each book by this Author gets better and better! I couldn't wait to finish it, but I was also not wanting it to end!! Kept me on edge! Definitely make this a 2025 favorite book!
