Part memoir, part philosophy, part self help. And all beautifully written in an easy to follow and engaging manner. There are so many valuable topics in this guide to becoming a healthier, happier human and steward of our planet. Ishan Shivanand was raised in a Himalayan monastery and at age 10 was already teaching others to combat their anger, anxiety, and fear while embracing the centuries old practices of yogis.
This book is full of poignant moments, questions, practices, and deeper understanding throughout his life. There is a point early in the book about the true practices of yoga and meditation are not only physical, but also deeply emotional. Sadly, Westerners have made yoga and meditation more about the butt. This resounded through me several times as I read through the book and made me realize that I need to take a long look deep inside and do some work on myself. Additionally, I feel that this book reiterates that humans are always works in progress and that our end goal is only truly met at the end of our lives. We are not perfect, but we can perfect our yoga and meditation practices and become better works in progress.

Ishan Shivanand is part of an ancient line of yagis. Many, many generations have come before him.
He is the founder of Yoga of immortals protocol which helps with stress, anxiety and shows lessons and ways to be more at peace.
