This book felt like a Netflix original series, and I really think it has the potential to be one. The pacing really dragged at several points throughout the book and I found myself skimming to get to the interesting parts. The plot felt quite unoque to me, I don't think I have read anything like this before. I am not sure how exactly I feel about this book but I didn't mind reading it and never thought of DNFing. If you can pick up a copy from the library I'd say do give it a try.
