Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an ARC of this lovely book.
I am sure that I've written a review of this book but it seems not be in the NetGalley archives.

This book was a labor of love written by a man who was told the story of a dog named Judy whose love
kept many a soldier alive during WWII in a Japanese prison camp. She was actually given the label of POW.
Mr. Lewis, a celebrated journalist and author, interviewed as many people as possible to learn as much as he could about Judy, to get a feel for the love she gave, her brilliance and cunning in helping the pows survive and wrote one of the most touching books of how an animal with unconditional love can change so many lives,

This is a wonderful book, a wonderful story, and a reminder of the good things that can happen in our crazy mixed-up world
