A Quiet Disappearance collects 17 short stories that explore loneliness, grief and belonging. I enjoyed the exploration of these themes, but the writing style wasn’t for me. Thank you Mawenzi House and NetGalley for providing me with an e-ARC to review.

This was a different read for me. I enjoyed the collection of stories of older adults. From the reminiscing of the past to how others slowly slip away in our lives, made this book interesting..

Quiet in this instance means peaceful. That's all anyone can ask as they draw near the end of life, peace. This stories are a remembrance oftimes and places that stir emotions, from wistful "what might have been" to satisfied accomplishments. Each story is so different, but still similar in the ending. As in all antholgies, some stories will touch your heart more than others, but none of them will leave you the same way they started. I don't think this book has a true target audience, it should be read, then you will know who needs to read it too. I wish you peace.
