Lisa Jewell you knocked this one right out the ballpark!!! What a thriller!!! This book had me in a chokehold.. Ash was a force of nature, determined and was not willing to give up until she found out the truth.. So many times I wanted to reach into the book and strangle Nick!!! Thank you for keeping on the edge of my seat the entire time..

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!!!

Thanks to NetGalley for an arc. I was SO excited for this because I love Lisa Jewell. But this one was a pretty big letdown for me. Almost the entire thing was incredibly predictable. There was no surprise. It was very obvious from the get go. I vacillated between 2 and 3 stars and went with 3 because of the ending.

📖 3.5 ⭐️

This book was really addicting, with so many characters, short chapters and a really crazy plot. I will say I don’t think that this specific type of book is my cup of tea. While I enjoyed it, it just didn’t thrill me like I think it would for other readers!

What kind of drove me crazy was how similarly annoying all the female characters were. And the ending was a little bit predictable, there weren’t really any twists that made it more exciting or added and shock value.

But overall this is a solid domestic drama, however I wouldn’t call it a thriller. I enjoyed it, but I don’t think it’s a book that will stick with me.

Lisa Jewell did it again! I am always in love with everything she writes so this doesn’t come as a shock to me.

The twists, the turns, the shocks… edge of your seat, Jaw to the floor.. everything you wand and more in a thriller!

A billion percent worth the 5 star review and recommendation to any thriller lovers!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc in exchange for my honest review!

I'm not sure how to feel about this book.
I've forever been a Lisa Jewell fan and after the Marvel book side quest, I was so looking forward to a real thriller again..
Unfortunately, this one took me almost two weeks to get through.
The first 50% was just building up this story about this horrible man and all his scams with all these women. I was dying for some real action to happen and it just wasn't gripping me like I'd expected.
There was no major twist to turn it all around, so everything felt very predictable by the end and I was kind of hoping for more.
It was well written and I appreciate everything wrapping up by the end, but it fell a little flat for me. I'm underwhelmed but still looking forward to the next book by this fantastic author!
3.5/5

I was lucky enough to receive an e-ARC for this book. I have read Lisa Jewell books in the past and enjoyed them so much. This book is a great thriller that got me so curious as to what was going on when I started reading it. This was my first read of the year and it's hard to describe the book without giving spoilers. We follow Ash who becomes suspicious of a new man in her mother's life after her father passed away a year prior. I read this pretty quickly since I wanted to find out how the story ended!

Having just finished binging both seasons of the Apple TV+ series, Bad Sisters, this was exactly the book I needed to read next. I was hooked from page one, in typical Lisa Jewell fashion. I'll be thinking about this thriller for a long time. I loved every moment of this dark, disturbing read. Thank you so much Atria and Netgalley for my advanced copy.

Just read Don't let him in by Lisa Jewell. LOVED IT! Had my attention from page 1. Just who is Nick Radcliff anyway? I was already a fan of Lisa Jewell's books but this one is unputadownable (a word no, do you know exactly what I mean? Yes!) This is a book that sucks you in and forget everything, you'll loose complete track of time (in a good way of course)

Thank you for this e-arc! I was very excited to receive this and love a lot of novels by Lisa Jewell. While the plot was interesting I believe it dragged on a bit. I'm not sure how this main character was not caught earlier. I did enjoy that the chapters were short and you could read quicker but the novel did not really pick up for me until part 4.

✨ Another excellent thriller from @lisajewelluk with a bad guy you love to hate – and it’s a page turner from start to finish.

✨ What I loved the most about this book was the fact that not only could it happen in real life, we see from popular culture that it can and does!

✨ I’m keeping my review vague on purpose because this is one you need to go into blind and just let the story take you along for the ride.

✨It will be the perfect summer suspense when it comes out on June 24. Don’t miss it.

My thanks to @atriabooks and @netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book before its publication date.

I will start by saying I rounded up a little for this one. At the beginning I was sucked in, excited for a big dramatic ending that is prosaic of Lisa Jewell. I powered through the lull in the middle keen on the anticipation. And the ending went almost exactly how I imagined after reading the first third of this book. I'm not sure if it's because I've read hundreds of thrillers at this point so most of them are becoming predictable for me or if she just left almost nothing to be twisted. It was rather easy to piece together the ending of this book and I was left a little disappointed.
On the positive side, she successfully wrote a book with over 20 different characters that were easy to keep track of and I have always enjoyed her writing style. But beware this is one you do have to slow down for because of the many characters and time periods.

Thank you to NetGallery and Simon and Schuster for the opportunity to read this eARC.

I have read mostly all of lisa jewells books and always love them. This one is probably in the top three!. It was pretty fast passed and kept me guessing a lot of the book. And I have to say I've never hated a male character as much as I hated nick but in a good way! He got me angry so many time! Horrible guy. Can't wait to see what the author writes next!

Holy smokes, was this book a wild ride! From start to finish, I was desperate to know how it was all going to end. I love that there is no hiding who the bad guy is, yet still, the sense of intrigue was there. Lisa Jewell is a master of suspense. Add this to your TBR now and be sure to grab it when it’s released June 24th. Lisa, you’ve cured my reading slump! Thank you NetGalley and Atria Books for the opportunity to review this advanced copy.

This was surprisingly slow. I was occasionally confused by what POV I was in and it felt like there was one too many women. I couldn't keep some of the storylines straight.

Lisa Jewell has done it again! Don’t Let Him In centers on different women caught in a web of lies spun by a narcissistic, manipulative man. The layered timelines and complex characters had me hooked from the start, while the suspense, fueled by psychological manipulation, kept me turning pages late into the night. The unexpected twists and perfectly paced tension made this a chilling and emotional read. I even found myself torn between racing through the book or valuing sleep… I ultimately chose sleep, but just barely.

If you’re into thrillers that keep you guessing and deliver a gripping mystery, this one’s for you! Thank you Netgalley and Atria Books for letting me read this ARC. 💙

Trigger Warnings: Gaslighting, psychological abuse, stalking, emotional manipulation, domestic abuse.

This was a good, solid mystery with multiple POVs, multiple timelines and a deliciously evil protagonist that believes their actions are justified. I stop short at calling it a thriller. Jewell takes her time making the case against her narcissistic main character - to the point that it becomes a bit plodding and repetitive. There weren’t a whole lot of twists and turns other than piling on more and more strikes against the bad guy.

Overall, I enjoyed it and was pleased by the ending, but it wasn’t my favorite.

Thank you to Netgalley and Atria Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

did Lisa Jewell set the tone for new books in 2025? Yes she did

There isn't too much that I can say without giving away the pot to the book but what I can say is that this book follows a toxic manipulating narcist that is convinced that all his actions are justified. Nothing is his fault and everything is the effect of someone else's actions. Which made for a very interesting tale.

I loved that the chapters were short and manageable which helped to keep the narrators straight as there were three different tones - and two separate tine points.

If you are a fan of Lisa Jewell then I would highly recommend this one, similar to None of this is true but with a little bit less cheeky comments and instead convoluted characters with many motives.

Many thanks to NetGalley, Atria Books (Simon & Schuster), and the author for an ARC of this book which I had the pleasure of reading. All opinions are my own.

I'm just going to start with the obvious three star rating. The multiple pov's and jumpy timelines almost gave me whiplash. I love, love, love Lisa Jewell, but this book just didn't hit like her others. I was intrigued by the plot and wanted to finish the book, but the timelines were a bit much for me. I don't want this to come off as this was a bad story. It just wasn't a story for me. If multiple pov's are a thing you enjoy, then tiff might be the story for you. I just felt stupid for the first half of the story.

We follow Nina and her daughter Ash, after Nina's husband and Ash's father, Patty is killed by being pushed onto the train tracks. A year after his death, a man named Nick gets in touch with them by writing a letter and sending a zippo lighter that used to belong to him.
We also have Martha with a new baby married to Al, and they have a daughter Nala, along with Martha's two sons from her prior marriage. However, Nick and Al might not be who they say they are at all. Beneath the surface might be something more sinister.

I would like to thank Atria Books and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Expected publication June 24, 2025.

Ash and her mother, Nina, are trying to pick up the pieces after Paddy, Ash’s father, is killed. An old friend of Paddy’s comes into the picture and starts to get close to Nina, which Nina is not happy about. She feels like something is off with this man named Nick.

I want to start off saying that Lisa Jewell is one of my fav authors of all time. Her writing is very addictive and the way she unveils a story is perfection. This one is those things as well, but not my fav book by her. I did feel that this one took me a little longer to get into than normal. But that could just be me. I did feel that there were thrilling elements, but it didn’t feel like her normal thrillers. It felt more suspenseful and dramatic. It was a little confusing for the first third of the book. I also didn’t feel like there was really any surprises, but maybe there wasn’t supposed to be.

Overall I did enjoy it, but won’t be at the top of the 9 Jewell books I’ve read.

Thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for the advanced copy of this book!
