Ash is devestated by her fathers tragic passing. As her mother starts seeing another man, all Ash sees is red flags. With her history of mental illness, she needs concrete evidence before bringing her concerns to her mom. This book follows the thread of who this man really is and whose lives he’s destroyed along the way.

As a long-time fan of Lisa Jewell, I was SO excited to get this ARC.
Restauranteur Paddy Swann was successful and loved by all until he was tragically pushed to his death, leaving his wife Nina and their daughter, Ash devastated. As his family tries to cope with his death, a new man named Nick Radcliffe enters their lives. He sweeps Nina off her feet with lovely words and lavish gifts, but Ash is not so easily convinced. She begins to feel her life unraveling around her as this mystery man begins encroaching on her family, her home, and her father's memory.
Meanwhile, Martha, a small town florist, lives with her husband Al, their young daughter, and her two boys (from a previous marriage). At first, Al is attentive and caring but soon, he becomes distant and dodgy as his work schedule takes him away for multiple days at a time. Martha begins to wonder where her "wonderful husband" disappears to and why they never seem to have enough money.
As their worlds collide, these three women begin to question why they "let him in."
I couldn't put this book down. As always, Lisa Jewell weaves a perfectly intricate story with multiple POVs. "Don't Let Him In" takes us on a twisty journey that had me infuriated by the characters (in the best way possible) and yet so engrossed in the story. Jewell is the queen of twists, turns, and edge-of-your-seat writing. She can do no wrong in my world.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for this ARC!

Wow! What a book!!!! I always like Lisa Jewell's books and this one didn't disappoint.
I gave it a 4.5 ⭐

I was torn between giving Don't Let Him In three stars or four stars. There was a lot of confusion over the jumbled timelines and different points of view in each chapter. It took a minute at the start of each one to figure out which person was supposed to be the main character in that specific chapter. A name at the top instead of a number would have helped significantly. All that being said, the book overall was a great psychological thriller. The antagonist was written in such a way that the reader should truly despise him and hope to see him get his just desserts. To me, he was the most interesting character because all of the female characters were a tad bland. I was not really rooting for any of them, but the plot was too entertaining to really care about them. It is worth the read for anyone who enjoys this genre.
Thanks to NetGalley, Lisa Jewell, and Atria Books for allowing me to read an advanced reader copy of Don't Let Him In in the return of an honest review.

It is best to go into this one blind and just enjoy Jewell's masterful portrait of a truly devious anti-hero. It took a minute to get acclimated to the many characters and timelines, but after a few short chapters, I couldn't put it down! Thanks so much to Netgalley, Simon and Schuster and author Lisa Jewell for the librarian preview copy.

2.5 to 3 stars.
Just a word of thanks to both netgalley.com, as well as Atria Books/Simon and Schuster for an advanced reading copy in exchange for my honest opinion about this novel.
I have previously only read one Lisa Jewell novel - None of This Is True - and found that to be jaw-dropping and an enjoyable read. I was hoping that her newest novel - Don't Let Him In - would be another enjoyable read. Unfortunately, I was not too into this book. My main issue with the book? Lack of believability. The villain in this novel goes by various names because he is essentially a free-loader off of older, single women. He is good-looking, presents himself as successful, and women just fall for him. However, it is all a scheme - he mysteriously disappears at times, he doesn't answer text messages or voicemails at times. Why? He is with another woman! It is an interesting read in terms of wondering if and when this gentleman of many aliases gets caught, but I found it to not be a credible read. Too many times in the novel I would ask myself - "would this really happen in real life?" Usually, the answer was no.
This is a decent read, and it was interesting to see it all come together, but was not really all that suspenseful or believable.

Thank you Atria books and Netgalley for the ARC!!!
Another great read from Lisa Jewell! This one is gonna be a hit, just like her others.
Today, the man calls himself Nick Radcliffe. He's handsome, charming, and irresistible! But when Ash starts investigating him, what she uncovers is the nasty truth about this despicable man of many faces!

Don't Let Him In is another suspenseful Lisa Jewell masterpiece. We go from 0 to 60 - identity fraud to murder - in the blink of an eye. She does a masterful job bringing Damian/Al/Nick to life as unsettling, not-quite-right, and downright dangerous. It includes an element of the unreliable narrator that Jewell does such a great job with, as we learn of Ash's prior mental health challenges and wonder if it impacts her ability to read Nick's intentions properly. And lest we get too discouraged over the painting of female characters being collectively passive and gullible, we get a great revenge twist in the very end.

LOVED this super quick read! It kept me on my toes and rooting for the "good guys." Lots of twists and turns (in a good way). Highly enjoyable!

This was a slow burn story that I found to be much different than Lisa's other books. This story was more interesting than thrilling and I think that it provided interesting social commentary on a very real situation that happens today. In many thrillers I feel that you tend to have to suspend disbelief for some parts of the story. In this story of a man who is leading multiple lives, I found for the most part that the story was very real. I think when we hear of people living multiple lives and the other families not knowing about it we think how is that even possible? I think this book really shed light on how that could be possible the lengths that we will go to, to justify why our loved one does things or behaves in certain ways. Although I did enjoy the story I felt that it did lack that kind of furious page turning, needing to know "who done it" intensity. Still, it was a good, enjoyable read that makes you really think about how much you know about the person that you love..

Thank you, NetGalley, Lisa Jewell, and the publishing company for this eARC.
I tend to really enjoy Lisa Jewell's books, but this just wasn't my cup of tea. The characters were unlikable, the ending was predictable, and the amount of narrators to keep up with was difficult. That said, I did enjoy the concept and closure at the end. Though this wasn't my favorite of her books, she is still one of my favorite writers.

I really wanted to love this book because None of this is True, Jewell’s previous book was fantastic. I liked the premise of this book- the seemingly perfect con man but felt like it truly dragged on and then just ended. There was so much leading up to the end and then it just ends. I did like the twist with the letters at the end (don’t want any spoilers!) and that the Amanda character came through in the end (since I share a name I was hoping she wasn’t too terrible!). Overall not a terrible read but did not live up to the expectations of what I was expecting

Another Lisa Jewell masterpiece!! This book keeps the reader super engaged and I love how it ping-pongs back and forth amongst all the different characters/storylines of his various “families.” I got sucked in and enjoyed the journey! Can’t wait for the next LJ book to come out. Thanks NG for the early copy to read and review.

3.75/5 i honestly was confused during the first 30% following the diff woman but it finally started to make sense after that. totallyyy unexpected ending and THE EPILOGUE?! did not expect that.
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the digital copy of this book!

Lisa Jewell's Don't Let Him In is a masterclass in slow-burn suspense that will leave you breathless. For the first half of the book, we're introduced to a seemingly normal family, but subtle hints and unsettling interactions create a sense of something being deeply wrong. This deliberate pacing, while initially slow, is crucial to the story's impact. It allows Jewell to develop the characters and their relationships, making the eventual unraveling of the truth all the more shocking.
I found myself unable to put the book down, frantically turning pages to uncover the truth. Jewell's writing is sharp and compelling, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.

I really enjoyed this one overall! It was fast paced and I loved the different points of view! There were times where I wish more details had been given, such as how Simon met Joe to arrange for Paddy’s death to take place. I also wish we could have learned about his Nina found Simon’s background information. All in all this was a page turning read that was so much fun!

Probably not my favorite Lisa Jewell book but still great nonetheless! She is an auto buy author for me and I’ll read anything she puts out.

Don’t Let Him In is a gripping tale that depicts the modern life horrors of deceitful men.
Jewell’s writing style is captivating and truly sucked me in. I read this book in a few sittings because I couldn’t put it down. I also would like to note the incredible detail Jewell puts into her characters. By the end of the book, I felt like I truly knew Ash and was rooting for her.
Compared to Lisa Jewell’s other works, I felt like this book was a slow-burn mystery as opposed to a fast paced thriller. Additionally, I felt like the twists were predictable and slightly lackluster. However, this did not take away from how much I enjoyed this book- it was just different than what I had expected.
I recommend going into this book blind. If you like Jewell’s other works or Shari Lapena, you’ll love this book!

It was interesting and kept my interest but it was hard for me to truly get invested. It’s hard for me to decide whether I liked this one or not.

Another great book by Lisa Jewell! The TENSION I felt in every chapter was crazy. There were so many twists and turns, and even when it felt like nothing big was happening, I was trying to connect every little detail because when things were “slow”, I knew we’d soon uncover another secret. There were many moments when I felt the same as I do if I watch a scary movie, like it’s too happy and something bad it about to happen 😆 I had some theories about half way in but Lisa’s writing made me feel like I was wrong. Some of my theories ended up being right but I was still surprised because I thought it was going in a different direction. I love how she weaves so many little details together and how she can catch you off guard at any moment!
Thank you to the author and Atria for the e-arc!
