Don’t let him In is a suspense story in which we have mystery, twists and lots of tension. We follow multiple women, who are misled and deceived into relationships and their stories are tangled until someone begins piecing the puzzle. The plot is intriguing and rather realistic even in today’s world.
It has multiple POVs, which can be hard to follow, I wasn’t truly pulled into the story until 60% in when the pace started picking up. Overall, it was a good read especially towards the end when everything starts falling into place.
Thanks Atria Books and Netgalley for allowing me to read the ARC of this book.

In Don’t Let Him In, Lisa Jewell weaves a tightly wound web of suspicion, grief, and deception that pulls three women into the same shadowy spiral of danger. Nina Swann is newly widowed when she receives an oddly charming condolence card from Nick Radcliffe—an old friend of her late husband’s with impeccable manners and a smile that disarms. While Nina is drawn to his polished exterior, her daughter Ash senses something is deeply wrong. Quietly, Ash begins investigating Nick’s past—and what she uncovers sends a chill deeper than grief ever could.
Meanwhile, in a nearby town, Martha’s perfect life is unraveling. Her husband Alistair is constantly away on business, but his warm affection and consistent explanations no longer soothe her creeping doubt. As Martha’s suspicions grow and Ash digs deeper, their stories begin to twist together with Nina’s, revealing a truth that none of them are prepared for.
Jewell excels at making the ordinary terrifying, and here she delivers a sinister tale of charm used as camouflage. It’s a slow, creeping dread that explodes into shocking clarity—and by then, it’s too late.

I love Lisa Jewell and as off the wall as her books can get, they usually are well paced. This one was lacking that - it was maybe too long? The main male character wasn't a good enough sociopath for me to be engaged in his shenanigans and Ash was just...bland. Martha was far more interesting and I wish we delved more into how this all happened and how he was able to accomplish it. I'm always down for a Lisa Jewell read but this just wasn't a fave of mine.. I'll be on the lookout for the next though!

i’ll keep this short cause i don’t have much to say. calling this a thriller is false advertising.. in my opinion. the characters are all flat, there’s nothing gripping or exciting about the plot whatsoever. the main guy is a sociopathic loser who gets away with conning women who apparently can’t clock his schemes? it was just too unrealistic and boring to read. the epilogue was arguably the best part, but i still did not care one bit about anything in the book leading up to that epilogue.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of Don’t Let Him In by Lisa Jewell. This one pulled me in fast. I was hooked by the suspense from page one. Jewell’s writing is smooth and gripping, with enough twists to keep my heart racing. The story centers on secrets, home invasion, and the fear you never see coming. Some parts felt a bit familiar, but the tension was handled so well that I didn’t mind. I loved how the characters felt real and flawed, which made their fears hit harder. If you’re in the mood for a slick, psychological thriller that delivers chills and keeps you guessing, Don’t Let Him In is a solid pick.

Thank you so much to Lisa Jewell, Atria books, and NetGalley for the ARC of Don’t Let Him In.
Lisa Jewell is one of my auto-read authors and after I read None of This Is True, I wasn’t sure how this book would compare. Yet again, Jewell had my jaw on the floor!
I went into this book completely blind and I’m truly glad that I did because I had no idea what to expect. It took my a little while to get invested into this book because I don’t usually love the narrative from the point of view of the “villain” or the unreliable narrator. I thought I had this book figured out from the very beginning, but I was wrong.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat and even though there were many characters and names and settings, it was fairly easy to follow. 5/5 for the latest novel from Jewell!!

5⭐️ Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for an advanced copy of Don’t Let Him In.
Nina and her family are reeling over the tragic and sudden death of her husband Paddy. Her daughter Ash shows her a package that came for her from a man named Nick who knew her father years ago. Nina and Nick start talking and eventually start seeing each other. Ash just gets a bad vibe from Nick instantly but she wants her mom to be happy. When Ash decides to investigate Nick she comes up with nothing almost like he does not exist. When she connects with her dad’s old girlfriend Jane she helps her investigate and the more they dig the crazier it gets.
This book was so so good. It had me hooked from the beginning until the very last page. I did not see the plot twists coming at all. I loved the plot and the characters. The story was totally unhinged and I loved it!

This book was way too confusing right from the start. Too many characters, characters who are really the same character, and too many women to count. The book didn’t have much of a wow factor, not my favorite from this author.

Thank you NetGalley and Atria Books for this ebook ARC copy.

Who is Nick Radcliffe?
Nina Swann’s husband surprisingly dies, in a very unusual yet tragic way. Nick Radcliffe reaches out after Nina’s husband’s untimely demise. They spark a relationship that rubs Nina’s daughter, Ash, the wrong way. Ash starts to investigate who this Nick person is but finds out more than she expected.
Martha lives nearby, she is a mother and married to Alistair, but something starts to feel amiss when Alistair starts to disappear and can’t be reached. He says he’s traveling for work but stays out of touch when he’s away, which strikes Martha as odd.
When Martha’s and Nina’s worlds collide, through the sleuthing concocted by Ash with help from an unusual person, they discover the secrets that Nick Radcliffe holds. As more and more people come into light, more discoveries are made and so much more is learned.
This book had me writing down names and taking notes. I was enthralled and wanted to know more. It was so well written. The charisma, the way about him. Nick Radcliffe had everyone in his grasp and easily encircled in his hold. He knew how to play the game and he was winning, until he chose the wrong opponent.

Wow, what a fantastic read! 4.25
It was a tad repetitive or drawn out at times, but as to be expected with the given plot. I was all but ripping my hair out hoping that the characters would discover the truth! The ending did seem a bit rushed but that epilogue was a nice way to round it out.

High expectations were had for this one and it delivered! I loved it, once I started it I could not stop reading. Most of the twists I predicted but it all came together in a big way, and the ending was *chef’s kiss! 5 stars and a huge thank you to NetGalley and Atria for an advanced copy!

Don’t Let Him In by Lisa Jewell, Soon after Pat Manning was pushed in front of a subway car his wife Nina gets a gift first it’s flowers then it’s an old Zippo, that the sender claims Pat left years ago back when he knew him. The senders name is Nick Radcliffe he’s good looking tall and just so nice and thoughtful and all the women in his life think so that is except the ones he follows home breathes on their neck gets in their space but other than that he’s a charming fellow. when Nina starts dating Nick, Ash is a little alarmed but doesn’t say anything to her mom because her mom looks just so happy. not to mention there’s just something about Nick that rubs Ash the wrong way. She was very close to her dad and even when she went through the trouble that sent her back home to live with her mom he was there for her and she wants to hear stories about before she was born this is how she connects with Jane her dad‘s ex-girlfriend. Jane starts helping her try and find out what’s up with Nick it seems he has no backstory except the one he tells her about but every time Jane or Ash comes up with something Nick seems to have an explanation for it. Soon however things will pop up that not only doesn’t Nick have the answer for it’s leaving the police baffled as well. This book 1st started I almost got a little bored but right when I thought this doesn’t feel like an LJ novel the craziness began and there’s a lot of craziness I’ve been OMG by the end of it it was hard to keep all the victims in line. In the beginning I felt the worst for Marsha who has a young daughter with but then Amanda was introduced but these are just two of many this was such a good book there’s so much I want to say but don’t know what would be a spoiler and what wouldn’t. I don’t like reading summaries for books as I don’t like spoilers and won’t even read reviews until I am done reading the book. So having said that just know this is one crazy roller coaster ride of a story and although it drags a little in the middle it doesn’t drag for long but then again the roller coaster does go very very slow right before it goes over the hill and does the loopty loops. Such a great read Lisa Jewell does it again. if you’re a fan of LJ‘s books the you’ll absolutely love this one it really turned out so good there’s no wow ending but still an OMG ending. #NetGalley, #TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview, #LisaJewell, #Don’tLetHimIn,

Some men can really multitask! 😅
Don’t Let Him In is a good, albeit confusing at times, mystery/thriller by Lisa Jewel. If you have enjoyed her other books, you will enjoy this one also!

Unfortunately, this one didn't work so well for me. From a scale of The Truth About Melody Browne (1 star rating from me) to None of This is True (5++++ stars), I'm giving this a three. Interesting premise, but the execution didn't live up. Too many characters, alternating timelines and perspectives made it a mumbo jumbo mess. I wouldn't hesitate to read more from Lisa Jewell, but I'm not planning on purchasing this to keep.
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the advanced copy. Don't Let Him In hits shelves on June 24, 2025.

Lisa Jewell delivers another killer thriller with “Don’t Let Him In.” A psychopathic philanderer wreaks havoc across England, swindling one woman after another. Nick Radcliff (one of his countless aliases) appears to be an ideal man, capable of manipulating women’s hearts with charm. However, these ladies remain unaware of his true nature until he abandons them and drains their finances. Radcliffe embodies the essence of Satan, and his seemingly gorgeous appearance and captivating tales make him a mysterious, yummy lover to naive and weak ladies. The women are utterly captivated by him. In reality, he is a malevolent narcissist driven solely by the pursuit of his next financial con. The ultimate grifter, Radcliffe, is a captivating and unsettling character I thoroughly enjoyed. This will be a great summer read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own. Thank you to the publisher, Netgalley, and the author for the opportunity to read this novel.

It took me a little while to get into this story. Knowing it was in the vein of Dirty John, I wasn’t sure it would be my kind of read. At first, I struggled to get into the story, and some parts felt a bit drawn out. However, as the plot developed, I found myself becoming more invested. The twists and turns kept me curious, and by the end, I was glad I stuck with it. While it may have benefited from tighter editing, it was ultimately an enjoyable and engaging read.

📚✨ BOOK REVIEW ✨📚
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)
Just finished Don’t Let Him In by Lisa Jewell and… WHOA 😳 This is domestic suspense at its twistiest. Three women. One charming man. Endless red flags. 🚩
We meet Nina, newly widowed, when Nick Radcliffe shows up to “offer support.” But her daughter Ash isn’t buying it—and starts digging into his past. At the same time, Martha suspects her husband’s been lying to her… and all paths lead to the same chilling truth: this man is NOT who he says he is 😱
Told through multiple POVs—including the villain’s 😬—this one had me turning pages late into the night. Lisa Jewell nails the creeping dread, slow-burn tension, and that moment when you yell at a character, “Don’t let him in!!”
Perfect for fans of:
🔪 Unreliable men
🔍 Smart, strong women
🧠 Mind games & identity twists
🕯️ A little darkness with your drama
📖 Would I recommend? YES. But read with the lights on.

I liked this one, I didn’t love it. Nick Radcliffe is handsome and charming, women have a hard time resisting him, but he isn’t who he says he is. He disappears for days at a time, unreachable by phone or message. He’s absolutely a shady dude. He finally messes with the wrong woman when her young adult daughter starts digging into his secrets and solves the mystery.
This would have been a great read if it weren't so repetitive. I get we are trying to establish this guy is no good and has a long track record of being a creep towards women but a few less women would have served this book well. If I read about the screenshot of his deleted LinkedIn page one more time I was going to scream. Good start, strong end, but a little rough in the middle.

Thank you, Atria Books and Netgalley, for a copy of this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
Lisa Jewell is back! I did not like her last release, None of This is True, so I was hesitant to read this, but I was pleasantly surprised. I flew through this book in two days. I didn't want to stop reading. I will say that you have to keep track of the characters from the very beginning; otherwise, you will find yourself confused close to the 20% mark. A con artist is one of my favorite types of mysteries, and this one did it so well up until the end. I would get to a point where I felt like I was figuring it out, and then a new twist would come and shock me. This is certainly a must-read for any mystery/thriller lover.

3.5 ⭐️ This book is a web of interconnected people that all tangle up in both expected and unexpected ways. The male main character is soooo horrid, but that is (I imagine) just how Lisa Jewell intended it. The best way to describe this reading experience is that it kept me wanting to read to see how all the characters would eventually collide.
It’s a dynamic book that kept me engaged throughout. However, for me, there were no big surprises in the storyline - it played out how I thought it would - which is why it doesn’t quite hit 4 stars.
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for this ARC!!!!
