Seriously, you have to read Lisa Jewell's Don't Let Him In. It's one of those books that grabs you from the first page and doesn't let go. Imagine a super charming guy shows up, seems perfect, but then things start getting really weird.

You've got Nina, whose daughter Ash gets a bad vibe from this new guy, and she starts digging into his past. Then there's Martha, whose husband is acting super suspicious. You just know something's off, and Jewell keeps you guessing the whole time.

It's full of twists, secrets, and moments where you'll gasp out loud. If you love a good suspense story that keeps you on the edge of your seat, this is it. You'll be thinking about it long after you finish!

This book is full of the most disfunctional characters I've ever read! I've never instantly disliked someone as must as Simon/Nick/all the others!

Very well written - keeps you rooting for the poor duped women this man uses and discards - and for the innocent children!

Loved this! In fact, I couldn't put it down and I flew through it!

This was an amazing book and I loved not having any idea how this would all end up. We're introduced to Nick Radcliffe thanks to the grieving Nina Swann and then this story is off running. I was a bit suspicious right away, but little did I know how suspicious Nick really is!

Throughout reading I was enthralled at the ways Nick charms people, lives life and moves throughout the world. All the while, I was rooting for Nina's daughter, Ash. However, I found myself wondering if she, or any of the other characters were worthy or if they were somehow flawed.

Advanced reader copy provided by Atria and NetGalley but all opinions are my own.

This book just wasn’t for me, I found myself confused as to what was going on. I usually love Lisa Jewell books so I was disappointed, I might give it another chance in the future but for now it just wasn’t for me

* I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this book. All thoughts are my own.

Lisa Jewel’s books have been hit or miss for me and this one was a huge miss. There were way too many characters and POV that it was hard to follow along. The beginning was entirely too slow, I was hoping that the story was almost over and then I realized I was only 36% in. The story really didn’t pick up until 80% of the way through and even then it wasn’t enough to redeem the book for me.

Would not recommend.

I thought this book was OK. It was definitely missing something but I couldn't put my finger on what. I felt like I was reading FOREVER even though the book wasn't overly long. The thought and overall idea behind it was really good, but I don't think it was executed super well. It was almost like not enough was happening, but if more were to happen, it would just be *too* much? Kind of hard to explain. Parts were rather repetitive and it got confusing at times with so many different characters' names, lives, time periods, etc., but I did enjoy the ending and how it all came together.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinions.

‼️ARC REVIEW‼️

⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed the intertwining of the storylines in this book. Getting to see everything unfolded little by little was masterful. This wasn’t suspenseful or thrilling for me though. I had most of it figured out from early on, so it seemed to drag a little.

Lisa Jewell is one of those authors whose new releases go to the top of my TBR pile. I was beyond excited to get her latest book, “Don’t Let Him In” ahead of its release. She does a beautiful job of setting the stage with multiple character viewpoints and it takes a bit to piece together what is going on. She created a villain that I haven’t had as much hatred for since “the prick” in Bad Sisters. The plot moves at a great pace, has strong character development, and a satisfying ending. The twists and turns are well timed and it was hard to put down. The title is very appropriate as I wanted to warn several characters to not let him in! It was a perfect summer weekend read and one you will still think about long after finishing the last page. 4.5 stars. Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for the digital ARC of ”Don’t Let Him In” in exchange for my honest opinion.

Oh. My. Goodness. It’s been awhile since I’ve hated a character this much. Lisa Jewell knows how to write deeply disturbed individuals, and she can get into their reasons and motivations like few authors can. This book will be another huge hit. It’s a fast read, because you get sucked in immediately, trying to figure out who’s who when many different women are involved.

Little hints about Nick’s past are dropped here and there, and Jewell keeps you guessing throughout. I don’t want to give away too much, but I got really, really angry about the self-justifications made. You ain’t all that, honey child! And no one OWES you anything…they’re just existing! Ugh!

To sum up, this is well worth a read. For me, I read it so fast partially because I wanted to be done with a certain perspective, and I definitely won’t be reading this again. It makes me too angry. And yet…isn’t that a testament to Jewell’s extraordinary ability to write characters that get under your skin? I’d say so.

Looking forward to her next book! I’m giving this one a 4.25, rounded down.

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for gifting me an eARC. All opinions are mine.

This was a WILD ride!! I really enjoyed this one and the multiple POVs that were going on throughout it. Nick Radcliffe was such a con artist and made me hate him so much by the end after what he did to all these women. I wouldn’t consider this a thriller more a mystery I felt. I thought this was good but it didn’t blow me away like Lisa’s other books that I felt blew me away ‘None of This is True’ &’ Then She Was Gone’. Thank you Netgalley and Atria books for my ebook in exchange for a honest review.

I devoured this one!! I couldn't stop reading this book and had to know how it was going to end! The main character Nick, was so annoying and I disliked him so much. But that's what made the book that much better. If you're a fan of Lisa Jewell I think you'll love this one. So much drama and I loved the ending so much!

'Don't Let Him In' is about a mysterious but seemingly perfect man and the women in his life. I liked that it ended up being about women getting together to take down a jerk. It had good tension and used good storytelling, though there was some predictability. This was an interesting concept and classic Lisa Jewell storytelling. I loved the ending, that these women didn't tear each other down, but working together to tear down a man who tried to tear them down. There were some aspects I predicted, and some I didn't.

Who are you? Who are you really?

Three women are connected to one man in this thriller. There were different timelines and different points of view which made it very easy to keep reading to find out what happened.

It was a fantastic greed and very interesting. I loved all the twists and turns and it kept me interested in reading till the end

This author never disappoints .

This book will be published June 24, 25 and will be available soon and I highly recommend it .

I loved this book! Lisa Jewell is so good at letting you think you have her plot figured out and then takes you in a direction you never imagined. A great and twisty thriller with a great protagonist, the perfect date, mate, husband with a twist. This book has many dual story lines to follow as well as jumping back and forth in time. This took me a minute to remember all the characters but once the story grabs you it all winds together seamlessly. This is a great beach read or a rainy summer day it pulls you in quickly. Which I feel like is signature Lisa Jewell, and makes her books a must read for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the ARC. I must say Lisa Jewell is kind of hit or miss for me. This one though I think is my favorite thus far. The final twist at the end was well played. Definitely worth the read.

Don’t Let Him In is a story that follows the stories of three women and the mysterious men in their lives.

After Paddy Swann tragically loses his life, his wife(Nina) and daughter(Ash) are left to pick up the pieces. After the loss, Nina is contacted by an old friend of Paddy, named Nick Radcliffe. While he seems like the perfect man, Ash can sense that something is off.. that things seem to be too good to be true.

In another story line we learn about Martha and her doting husband, Alistair. While Al can seem to be the perfect man at times, he has a secret side to him that frustrates Martha and leaves her wondering just what is he hiding.

How do these characters all fit together you may ask?? Well, you’ll just have to read the book for yourself to find out!

Don’t Let Him In is another solid production from author Lisa Jewell. While the story was a little slow in the beginning, it picked up as I got further into it. It was hard to understand at first how each character fit and to keep them straight. But by the end, I understood each one well and appreciated the full storyline. Overall, it was a solid read with a good ending.

Thank you to Atria Books and Net Galley for providing me with the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Also thank you to the author, Lisa Jewell, for providing us with another great read!

Easily one of the best thrillers I’ve read thus far! While it started a little slow and took me a bit to get settled with who the characters were, once it got going I could not put it down.

The book follows two main points of view, Ash, whose father passed the year prior and has some reservations about her new boyfriend, Nick; and Nick’s POV through the past.

The only thing I wished it had was a more “revenge is a dish best served cold” type ending. If you’ve read and enjoyed Lisa Jewell novels in the past, you must pick this one up!

3.25 stars. I liked Lisa Jewell's last release, but DON'T LET HIM IN had me perpetually shaking my head. The story follows a narcissistic con-man/psychopath hellbent on destroying the lives of many women through his lies, violence and manipulations. I've seen this story play out in many mediums before, but this book had me more frustrated than captivated. Jewell does demonstrate how easy it is for a hot man to swindle you over and over again, but I can't help but feel that these women's intelligence was grossly underestimated. Like, I know the point is that these kinds of men exist and take advantage of sad and broken women, it just made me so angry to see it happen repetitively. The red flags were all there, you're really telling me you would let this shit play out as much as you did? I have trauma too, but the minute my gut is telling me that hottie is a baddie, it's prolly true. IS THE DICK REALLY THAT GOOD? (GUESS SO?!)

Like AMERICAN PSYCHO, it's intriguing to follow the mind of a crazy person, because sometimes their internal dialogue is scarier than the reality. In this case, both the reality and psyche are equally fucked. Like, ew, thank goodness for these daughters because you men are resting on your looks and it shows...you're not getting a DOLLAR from me because I’m forever side-eyeing you sexy moochers that have a battalion of excuses and sob stories. But I get Jewell's point that there are many things we let slide when we love someone because love is blinding like that. This is why you trust no one, especially silver foxes that promise you the world.

Jewell is clearly a talented writer, but I read this in chunks because I was so frustrated by the dumb excuses and gullible characters that weren't using their brains, and the reveals were predictable, convenient and honestly far fetched. Moral of the story: work on your self-esteem so these fuckers can't prey on you. Woof. This dude is the worst and it's scary to think there are thousands of men just like him out in the real world right now. Special thanks to NetGalley and Atria for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
