📚 Nina Swann is intrigued when she receives a condolence card from Nick Radcliffe, an old friend of her late husband, who is looking to connect after her husband’s unexpected death. Nick is a man of substance and good taste. He has a smile that could melt the coldest heart and a knack for putting others at ease. But to Nina’s adult daughter, Ash, Nick seems too slick, too polished, too good to be true. Without telling her mother, Ash begins digging into Nick’s past. What she finds is more than unsettling…

💭 Lisa Jewell does it again! She is the queen of layering a captivating thriller together. I was intrigued by the storyline from the start, and had fun trying to connect the dots to make sense of the plot. At times I wanted to scream at the characters for being blind to Nick’s red flag behavior. But that being said, the book was very believable and I’m sure sadly relatable to many. The title says it all, don’t let him in... but do open this twisty, fun and mysterious book! ✨

I really enjoyed this book! At first, I was confused trying to figure out how all the characters were linked but as the story progressed, I was able to keep up. I liked all the multiple POVs and the twist and turns within the book. This book had me hooked from the very beginning and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Don't Let Him In by Lisa Jewell is a psychological thriller that kept me turning the pages to find out how the storylines all fit together. It was dark, twisty, and full of surprises. The writing is superb and the characters are fleshed out even though they aren't all likeable. I highly recommend it!

Martha is a florist living in a neighboring town with her infant daughter and her devoted husband, Alistair. But lately, Alistair has been traveling more and more frequently for work, disappearing for days at a time. When Martha questions him about his frequent absences, he always has a legitimate explanation, but Martha can’t share the feeling that something isn’t right.

Nina, Martha, and Ash are on a collision course with a shocking truth that is far darker than anyone could have imagined. And all three are about to wish they had heeded the same warning: Don’t let him in. But the past won’t stay buried forever.

Thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for the advanced digital copy of the book for my opinion.

This was definitely an interesting read. I found it wasn’t Lisa Jewell’s usual style but still had me intrigued nonetheless. The plot twists and storyline felt like a steady journey and woven throughout

I loved the quick chapters, the alternating time lines and twists and turns. Lisa Jewell never fails to keep me captivated with her highly detailed and twisted storylines and characters. It kept me turning pages quickly and finishing this in a few days.

I will say there was a lot to follow in this story but I was impressed with how fully immersed into each characters story I was

This wasn’t my favourite of hers but still a great read

Lisa Jewell does it again! With another gripping psychological thriller with suspense, complex characters, and unexpected twists that is as unsettling as it is addictive.

I loved the chilling atmosphere and the slow unraveling of secrets that kept me wanting more. Each chapter peels back another layer, revealing just enough to keep you guessing—but never quite letting you breathe easy. Don't Let Him In is impossible to put down. Recommend for anyone who loves a well-twisted mystery.

Another winner by one of my auto-buy authors! I was thrilled to receive and ARC of Lisa Jewell's latest book and though it isn't in my top three of hers, it was entertaining from start to finish. This is an author who knows how to do multiple POVs and I really enjoyed all of them. The mystery element is maybe not the strongest in this book. I felt it was more an exploration of characters, but as a character-driven reader, I did not mind this at all. Always looking forward to what she comes up with next!

Ooooo I hated him. Gaslighting manipulative lying mcliar. I always enjoy thrillers where I hate characters. I recommend doing the audio because it was a little tricky following which POV each chapter is in without chapter titles identifying the character. The audio was also really good. It's definitely a popcorn thriller without a TON of depth. Still was a fun and fast read. I liked how many layers of deceit there were and I just kept waiting for it to all catch up to him.

Wow. This latest thriller from Lisa Jewell is one crazy ride! This was such an entertaining book. The tension, the plot twists, the intensity all combine to make this a book that keeps you on edge throughout the entire novel. When will these people realize what is going on? As the book progresses you learn more and more about the antagonist, and scary as it is, totally can see a person like that existing in real life.

What a great murder mystery thriller Lisa Jewell has written. I alway enjoy all of her books, and this one was no exception.

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the advanced copy of this book.

Lisa Jewell has done it again with this gripping, page turner!

After Paddy is pushed in front of a train, his wife Nina and their daughter Ash are left heartbroken. While grieving, they reconnect with Nick, an old friend of Paddy’s—but his presence brings new questions.

At the same time, Martha, a florist with a distant husband, is struggling to manage life on her own.

Their lives soon connect in unexpected ways.

Told in short chapters and shifting points of view, this domestic thriller is a quick, addictive read with twists that keep you guessing. The ending wraps everything up perfectly!

Lisa Jewell is one of my favorite thriller authors. This book was no exception to that. I was hooked from the first chapter and by the end I was mind blown! This book will easily make you dislike its villains. You’ll be on the edge of your seat the whole time, nail biting your way through the twists and turns.
Whatever you do, pick this book up and don’t put it down.

Once again, Lisa Jewell has written a great novel with 'Don't Let Him In.' I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as her other novels. Romantic entanglements and cheating aren't my thing. However, Jewell proved me wrong. There is such a sense of coming doom in the cat-and-mouse book. I couldn't stop reading it. There's a dual timeline, and short chapters keep the story going. 4.5 stars.

Did not finish. I tried to give this book a chance, but it just wasn't a story I was enjoying reading. It felt predictable. I didn't like having the main "villain's" perspective, and it didn't really keep me on my toes. I've loved her past books, but this one wasn't it for me.

Gripping. Brilliant. I couldn't put it down once I started it. Go read it! 5⭐

I couldn’t put this book down. The MMC Nick was such a terrible person, and the things he does and gets away with are disgusting. That said, reading this book felt like watching a car accident; I just couldn’t look away. I had to find out what happened next.

The way the story unfolded, alternating between flashbacks and the present, was perfect. I was intrigued from start to finish!

I highly recommend it!

Lisa Jewell can be pretty hit or miss for me and this latest had just too much gaslighting and treating women terribly for me to get into it. Was a pass/DNF for me unfortunately this time but my library will still be buying a copy since the author is so popular. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

This book made no sense. I got about a third of the way in and wanted off the ride. Too many characters, too much happening. For what?

The beginning of this book was a very slow start for me. I appreciate that the author was setting up the context of information for what happened later in the book though!

I enjoyed the three different POVs that you read, including the person doing all the bad things. That was a change for sure. And the dual timelines that eventually converged by the end, that was very crafty!

There were some thrilling moments, definitely a LOT of questions piled up as I read and did indeed receive the answers by the end of the book.

It was a good read and I am glad I stuck it out!

Just finished reading an advanced copy of a book that was just released on June 24th called, Don't Let Him In. This was about Nick, he seems to be the perfect man. But he's too perfect, until he isn't. His wife Martha, his girlfriend Nina, and her daughter Ash are all tangled up in his web of lies and deception. And they're determined to get to the bottom of it and find out the truth, no matter the cost. This was a thriller with different points of view and different timelines throughout the story to keep you on your toes throughout the book. It was a little confusing in the beginning, and took a little bit for me to get into the story. But once I got into it, it was an enjoyable read with a satisfying ending! 💙📚

Thank you to the author and to the publisher for this ARC of Don't Let Him In, in exchange for an honest review.

Thank.you to NetGalley for the advanced reader copy!

This is my third Lisa Jewell book, and I really enjoyed her writing style. It's engaging, smooth, and easy to get lost in. The story grabbed me right away, and I was really curious to see how everything would unfold.

The characters were well developed, especially Ash, who really stood out to me. Jewell does a great job making her characters feel real and complicated.

That said, the suspense wasn’t quite there for me. The pacing slowed down around the halfway mark, and I kept waiting for a big reveal that never really came. I liked seeing how all the threads of the story came together, but it ultimately didn’t have the level of tension or the claustrophobic vibe that I expected. This one is more of a slow burn for sure.

Still, it was a very solid read, though not quite a thriller, and I appreciated the character work and writing a lot.

Don't Let Him In is both a hot mess and a wild ride. An intense and unsettling domestic thriller. Jewell has effectively written the most detestable antagonist that I have ever read. A liar. A cheat. A complete and total psycho. There are so many characters and overlapping timelines, it almost feels like you're circling the same con which lends to the psychological aspect of feeling conned. I lost count of the twists and just started to expect them, predictable or not, realizing that anything goes and it's not over 'til it's over. Not quite as unhinged as None of This Is True—but close. ★★★ ½
