Nina Swann, grieving her husband's death, is drawn to Nick Radcliffe, a supposed old friend of her husband whose charm and sophistication hide something unsettling. Her daughter Ash senses danger and secretly digs into Nick’s past, uncovering disturbing secrets. Meanwhile, Martha suspects her husband Alistair’s frequent absences aren’t as innocent as he claims, setting her on a path toward a devastating revelation. As their lives intertwine, the truth they uncover is far darker than they ever imagined—some warnings should never be ignored.
**Thank you NetGalley, Atria Books and Lisa Jewell for an eARC of Don't Let Him In.

I don't think it's possible for me to not love a Lisa Jewell book! This one was no exception, with alternating POVs and timelines, dark, jaw-dropping scenes, many well-written characters, and one horrible disgusting man at the center of everything.
In typical Lisa Jewell fashion, it was hard to keep all the characters and timelines straight at the beginning of the book, but once things got underway I was hooked! Especially after the halfway mark, I could not put this down because I just had to know what happened. I was rooting for a few characters so much (Ash and Jane were my faves!), and HEAVILY rooting against one character...
Although there wasn't any life-changing big twists that have been prevalent in some of her previous books, I still really enjoyed the ending (even down to the very last page...if you know you know!).
I definitely could see this book being a perfect quick binge read by the beach or pool. Thank you NetGalley and Atria Books for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Can't wait for Jewell's next book!

Psychological thriller by the 👑 Lisa Jewell
Nick Radcliffe is a handsome, charming, malevolent master manipulator, whose life-work is swindling innocent and vulnerable women.
He my 2025 #1 most despicable character.
He is a viscous villain, utterly upending the lives of his unsuspecting victims. (Have you seen “Bad Sisters”? He’s John Paul) There doesn’t seem to be any stopping point to his sick scams.
I LOVED some of the female characters , Ash and Jane in particular, also Martha and her friend Grace…Very well-constructed, sympathetic and believable.
This was a fast read and a page-turner , I was committed to seeing where we were going, and if our perp ever met justice, and how. I also wanted to know just how deviant his behavior could get if/whenwhen his cover crumbled.
My only complaint … I thought it was too predictable, I wanted more twists, I wanted a shift, something I never saw coming … I might be just a spoiled rotten thriller enthusiast … I gave it 4 stars for readability , but it might be more of a 3.75
Thank you to Atria Books, Simon & Schuster and NetGalley for the ARC of this book!!!

Very twisty and turny and it kept me so intrigued and invested. I did catch what was going on fairly early but I think that was the point.
The problem was it was drilled in from the beginning and I just kept expecting more to happen. Surely that had to be more to this story. But that didn't really happen. There was a twist at the end but it was nothing major or unexpected. I just felt there was too much build up for such little outcome.

This book was such a trip! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, I couldn't put it down. It's like when you drive past a car crash and you just can't help but look even though it's terrible. It was clear from the start what was happening with this book and yet, the more I read the more shocking it got, and I could not peel my eyes away. It will keep you on your toes until the very last page and also maybe filled with rage for the MMC. It's a great time.
Thanks NetGalley for the eARC!

Lisa Jewell is back again - written in her usual dark, mysterious tone, this novel begins in my favourite way - with several storylines that eventual interweave. We meet the Swann family - mother Nina, daughter Ash and son Arlo, who have tragically lost their father in a freak accident. Shortly after his death, one of his former colleagues pays his respects, but then gets a little close a little too quickly. Is Ash rightfully perturbed by this stranger, or is her history of mental illness rearing its head and making her imagine things that aren't real? This book will have you staying up way too late to finish it!
Thank you NetGalley for my ARC!

A group of powerful (though they don’t realize it at the time) women taking down an entitled, manipulating asshole. Sold from the beginning

thanks to netgalley and atria for the eARC! this was a solid lisa jewell book! i really liked the different perspectives and how each woman’s story was woven together throughout & ultimately, at the end.
this reminded me A LOT of dirty john — the main character really gave off that energy. his chapters made me feel SO icky, but i think that’s kind of the point. i also found myself so enraged by the women at some points, but also found myself wondering if something like that could happen to me. if i’d be naive enough, desperate enough, in love enough to continue to overlook really wild behaviors.
i don’t think i was truly SHOCKED at any point; there weren’t plot twists i didn’t see coming. but i still was super engaged throughout and found myself wanting to know what was going to happen next. as always, jewell’s writing was captivating, descriptive, and able to pull you in.
i would definitely recommend if you’re a lisa jewell fan, esp if you liked her last book!

Right from the start, I had a weird feeling about Nick (you will too), and the more I read, the more I was like: nope, nope, something’s off.
The story flips between Nina (widow), Ash (her daughter who’s not buying any of Nick’s charm), and Martha (a mom whose husband is definitely hiding something). And the way all their stories slowly connect? SO satisfying. Every chapter gave me that creeping “what the hell is going on” vibe, and I couldn’t stop reading.
You think you know where it’s headed—and then it hits you with something darker. It’s got charm, red flags, and major “run while you still can” energy.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC.
As a fan of Lisa’s work, this one was a tough pill to swallow. I’ve genuinely enjoyed everything I’ve read from her before, so I went into this with high expectations—only to end up pretty disappointed.
There’s no suspense, no thriller element, no tension to hold onto. The women’s blind acceptance of the most outlandish things was frustrating to read, especially when it was so obviously unbelievable.
I kept hoping for a twist, a surprise—something—but it never came. While the story has a clear arc and conclusion, I’m still not sure what the point was or what the readers should have taken away from it.
Despite this miss, I’m still a fan of Lisa’s writing and will definitely pick up her next book. But unfortunately, this one just didn’t work for me.

This book kept me guessing! The way Lisa Jewell developed all the characters was very impressive! I felt sad for the way the main character manipulated so many women. Well developed plot. Lisa Jewell’s nooks are always good!

I loved this book! Another winner from Lisa Jewell in my opinion. The story was immediately exciting, interesting and easily hooked me. I didn’t expect what unfolded, and I certainly didn’t expect the ending. I thought the story was told very smoothly, and it took us right to a perfect ending.
I’m keeping the review brief because I don’t want to give any spoilers but let me say:
This is a book about strong women, women who make mistakes, and women who pull themselves up, and that’s something I loved. There are twists, and puzzle pieces that come into place bit by bit, and there are moments of questioning and continuing forward without complete certainty, and that’s what made the book so fun!
I read this one super quickly because I could not put it down. I highly recommend it!

This could totally be one of those true shows on Netflix!
The things that this man does is truly astounding and had my jaw dropping. So many POV’s including that crazy man’s so not sure I’d recommend audio. I read this fast paced thriller in one sitting and stayed up so late.

What a page-turner!? Told from multiple POVs, readers can guess if it's the same character or a group of misfits causing women struggles for decades. As it all comes together, and you realize the intent of the hidden layers and dependencies, there's an extraordinary amount of planning that went into this book. It's one of her best, even if there are a few holes left far too open for me. I also can't understand how someone could get away with their crimes for so long... but if you sit back and just enjoy the ride, it will leave you completely immersed.

9/10
Lisa Jewell is a damn good writer.
I ignored her books for too long and now I have a lot of catching up to do.
I couldn’t put this book down.
It’s not your traditional mystery because you kinda know the premise of what’s going on the entire time. But new facts keep being revealed that digs the hole deeper.
It starts with Nick Radcliffe. He is married and has kids. He has a girlfriend who doesn’t know he’s married. Or that he has kids. He has… well, it’s complicated.
Nick is a bad man. You’ll learn that quickly.
Nina Swann is a bad ass woman. You’ll learn that too.
The book is like running through a life sized maze. The deeper in you go, the less sure you know what’s going to be around the next corner.
You know what, just read it.
You won’t be disappointed.

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for early access to this book in exchange for an honest review.
Lisa Jewell’s books are usually a solid 4 stars for me. I know the writing will be good and I will be highly entertained. Because that’s what I want and expect when I pick up one of her books- to be entertained and get lost in the drama for a bit.
This story feels like more of a suspenseful drama than a thriller, like her other books. And there’s a lot of suspense. I read this pretty quickly because I just couldn’t wait to see Nick get what he deserved at the end.
My only gripe is that there were a lot of characters, and sometimes it was hard to keep track of who was who, but that’s it.

3.5⭐️
Lisa Jewell is an author I’ve been wanting to read for a while & this synopsis sounded super interesting so I was excited when I got approved for the ARC! This book is about a man who’s leading a double life & the women that he’s manipulated along the way.
It was confusing at first because it alternates POVs but there’s no indication about whose POV it is, & it also alternates between present/past & first person/third person so it was definitely a little hard to keep up with at first. But once I got further into it, it was easier to keep things straight in my head. I liked the writing style, it was an easy read. However I wouldn’t really classify this as a thriller, there weren’t really any huge twists & it was very predictable. It was very slow & repetitive at times too, I think it could’ve been a little shorter. It was still an enjoyable story for me though & I would recommend it to anyone that likes this author.
Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for this ARC.

Unfortunately reading this book wasn’t thrilling for me, it just felt extremely annoying. I’ve heard this sort of story so many times, and at a point hearing all the different ways the MC was manipulating the women around him got very tiring.
I appreciated the women who were trying to figure out what was going on but it felt like that was 10% of the book, the remaining 90% was just watching him lie and lie and keep deceiving people and it got old quickly. Hearing his constant justification for his disgusting behaviour was not entertaining and was painful to read.
The ending was good but by that point I was just glad to be done.

This was my first book of Lisa Jewell. Unfortunately this book felt unorganized and way to many characters. I wish each chapter stated the character speaking in the book. It became confusing at times to follow. The concept was there but the book fell short for me. I pushed through even though I wanted to DNF it many many times. Was hoping the end would of left me shocked but it was just predictable
The book was about a man with multiple identities . One of the daughters felt uncertain about this man's truth. Even though she was diagnosed with multiple disorders was it her thinking he is crazy or was he actually a crazy man

Ash's dad died, he was pushed off a train platform. Her mom Nina begins dating Nick a year later. However Ash doesn't think he is what he seems. Martha is married and has a small child with Al, they were happy, but now she is beginning to doubt in him. What we find out is Nick is Al and neither is his real name.
This story is told from multiple perspectives and in multiple timelines. We get Ash and Martha's current POV but we also get Nick/Al's POV from the past and ultimately the timelines intersect. Initially this story was slow to draw me in. I didn't think there were any big revelations from the plot standpoint, no big twist. I knew Nick was a con man and as we learn more about his past nothing really surprised me. I did appreciate the ending.
It wasn't my favorite book by this author but overall a good read. My rating is 3.5 stars
