This is one where you will be picking it up every chance you get or won't be able to stop until you're done. If you like books with multiple POVs and some juicy twists then you really need to give this one a try. This was my first book by this author and it didn't disappoint. I was able to figure out the twists and ending, however this was done in such a good way that it didn't take away from the ending. Would highly recommend for anyone who enjoys psychological thrillers.

This book, surprisingly and against all previous beloved books by Lisa Jewell, fell flat for me. The duration and ending was predictable, the pacing was excruciating, and I personally did not enjoy spending most of the book in “Simon’s” disturbing perspective.
None of This is True left me delightfully perplexed, leaving morsels of mystery at a perfect pace… and I hoped for the same here, but was left disappointed and dragging definitely until 60%.

This book was so slow. I like all of Lisa Jules other thrillers, but this one was boring and sluggish. The rotating points of you left me confused there were so many characters and no twist that left me feeling surprised.

I really enjoyed this domestic thriller. Going in, you should know that is not a popcorn thriller - it’s a very slow burn. The tension and insanity builds with every chapter.

I would say that this book is perfect for fans of Netflix’s Dirty John and You. It has the most deranged MMC. 🤯

I did struggle in the beginning with the multiple POVs and different timelines. I’d say that about a quarter of the way through, it all clicked for me. The ending came together perfectly.

Thank you NetGalley and Atria Books for the advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc

I am dissapointed to say that I did not like this book. I found that there were too many characters to keep up with that made this book confusing. I believe that if I had listened to an audiobook ALC, there is a chance that I would've liked this book better I still like Lisa Jewell as an an author overall though.

This book was a world wind! It was everywhere at once and then came together perfectly. Ash’s mom begins dating this man who stated he used to work with her deceased father. However, his details are not adding up. Is he who he says he is? I think this book was great beginning with the various view points colliding into one.

🚪Multiple POVs
🚪Dual Timelines
🚪Con Man
🚪Domestic Suspense
🚪Short Chapters

After the high after reading None of This is True in 2023, I have been waiting on the edge of my seat for Jewell’s next, non-marvel related, read and was super excited to have been provided an arc.

For me, this wasn’t necessarily a crazy page turner this time. It had a slow build which makes sense given the plot line and the number of people the male MC had an impact on. That said, short chapters which usually is a plus for me kept me going. I’d say it took me about 75% in to stay committed in seeing the story play out.

Jewell does so well in writing terrible people. I usually look forward to her insane twists, but for this one I can’t say I was surprised by anything. While not my favorite book by Jewell, it was still entertaining. Will eagerly await her next novel.

Just a great book for fans of Lisa Jewell! This book is full of twists and turns and kept me reading well into the night. It follows several story lines that eventually intersect and the revelations are utterly unexpected. Tjis domestic thriller is one I highly recommend.

This isn't the strongest Lisa Jewell I've read. Except for Nick and Ash, the characters felt a bit one dimensional and flat. Nick was very believable. Perhaps because I've seen that glisten of tears when a man is trying to soften you up, but he is only lying to you.

Without giving away the ending, parts of this book felt like the characters were pawns on a chess board, doing actions that were a set up for where the ending needed to go. The ending also didn't feel believable. It was hard for me to suspend disbelief as I didn't think that what happened would have been something that would occur given Nicks character and previous behaviour. Let's all put ourselves in grave danger in order for a certain outcome to occur.

Nick Radcliffe has a secret: he lives multiple lives, and the women in his life don’t know who he really is.

Lisa Jewell elevates bigamy to a serial level, weaving together intriguing storylines that had me racing to finish the book.

While I found myself speeding through the pages, I grew frustrated and questioned how tolerant a woman would realistically be of her husband's/partner's blatant lies, absences and inconsistencies in their relationship and how easily she would accept his excuses.

Overall, it's a great read, and I highly recommend it.

While it may feel "slow" during the build-up, it is truly worth it. It was a hot mess and a web of disaster, but I loved how the web of lies connected. This was truly intriguing and left me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I disliked the MMC from the jump, and the more I read, I just wanted to riot with all of the women. Lisa Jewell truly has a masterful way with words. This had truly shocking twists. The ending made me GASP as well! Such a wonderful, twisty read!

I received this ARC from NetGalley and Atria Books to read/review. All of the statements above are my true opinions after fully reading this book.

This book was a solid 3 ⭐️ for me. Overall it was an enjoyable read and kept me entertained, although I did find the pacing a little slow at points. If you like stories with a con man main character then this book is for you. The MMC in this one is wild!

I really enjoyed how the women (and other victims) in this book banded together. This was an easy, quick read and it kept me coming for more. I thought Jewell did an excellent job of weaving together so many side characters and stories. However, I struggled with the characters’ style of speaking. It felt like a lot of repetition, especially in the way the MMC spoke to women (So much word salads. So much gaslighting). I was expecting the ending to be more surprising but I thought all the twists and turns were fairly predictable.

Thank you NetGalley and Atria for the complementary eARC. All thoughts expressed are my own.

Can Lisa Jewell ever do wrong? An anticipated read for me this year and also my first experience with a kaleidoscope thriller, I loved the nail biting factor of this as it follows the aftereffects of the lives of the people left behind when Paddy Swann is pushed into the path of an oncoming train by a local schizophrenic man. His widow receives a gift in the mail from a restaurant buddy of her late husband of whom she does not trust. Across the way Martha is dealing with two children from her first marriage and is struggling to keep her florist shop afloat, the two women form an unlikely bond but as they continue to something sinister arises, something they may not be able to come back from.

Lisa Jewell is one of those writers who you know will entertain you, scare you, irritate you, and keep you reading until the very end. I thoroughly enjoyed her last book, None of This is True, and her newest, Don't Let Him In, continues that trend, and it will probably be one of summer's big sellers. The story about a man who may not be all that he pretends to be, and the women who are sucked in by his charms is not original, but the author's ability to keep the various plotlines going and the reader guessing make it a good vacation novel. I don't want to give too much away, because it's a book that is better without knowing what may or may not happen.

My only criticisms are that there are lots of characters, plotlines and jumping around in time. You have to really pay attention to what all is happening, and several times, I had to go back and re-read some parts.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and Atria Books for the eARC and the opportunity to read and review this novel. Highly recommend.

I have to admit, when I started reading this book, I had difficulty following the story and making sense of the differing timelines. However, once it clicked, I absolutely devoured the rest of it. Lisa Jewell is one of my favorite authors because I feel like she scatters Easter eggs all through the story that make the book instead of having just one major twist. I loved the three different points of view in this book.

After the traffic death of Paddy, Nina( his wife) and Ash( her daughter) are navigating their grief when Nick Radcliffe mysterious comes into their lives. Nina receives a note from Nick claiming to be an old friend of Paddy attached with a lighter that belonged to Paddy. Nina meets up with Nick, but didn’t expected this attractive man to come to her doorstep. This slowly but surely turns into a relationship that just didn’t sit right with Ash.

Will Nick’s actions turn out to be genuine or will Ash’s suspicions turn into something more?

Thank you NetGalley for the arc!

Don't Let Him In was another solid thriller from Lisa Jewell with fascinating, complex characters, intertwining perspectives and timelines, and plenty of suspense.

Appreciate the early copy from NetGalley! I generally enjoy Jewell's novels and this one had a great premise but the story ended up a little flat and repetitive. Not quite the page turner I was hoping for.

3.5 rounded up (shoutout NetGalley for the early copy)

This was a solid page turner. Less of a “thrill” and more of a suspenseful puzzle that you’re putting together. Loved the multiple POVs.

A little repetitive and predictable, but still worth the read. (again, it’s more about the suspense than a jaw dropping plot twist)

This was my first Lisa Jewell book and I’d definitely read another from her.

The Queen of Thriller has delivered!! I can definitely see this as an HBO Special with a giant bucket of popcorn and copious amounts of sugary sweet treats.

The constant disgust and growing suspicions of the main male character screams in(cel even though he is severely attractive in every way. He hates women but can’t survive without them.

And some of these women!!! My god!! Just grow a nerve already and set some boundaries.

This is your typical Jewell thriller, short chapters that easily pull you into the next. It’s twisty with an ending I could kind of see but had my suspicions because I just couldn’t trust myself throughout this story.

I liked it but not my most favorite Jewell thriller. Then She Was Gone still reigns as my top fav.
