This book was super twisty and had me flying through the pages. I loved the different timelines and POVs. I wanted a bit more at the end which is why I gave 4 stars. Overall, a super fun and creepy read!

I normally like Lisa Jewell’s books but this just wasn’t my favorite . It was more of a suspense than a thriller . I think just trying to keep the intertwining stories straight was distracting to the point it was hard to focus on.
It is kind of hard to review without giving anything away. The main character is a sociopath who manages to con several women over the years . His shocking behavior keeps you guessing . Overall it was a decent book just not my favorite of hers .
Thank you NetGalley and publisher for a copy for my opinion.

I enjoyed Don’t Let Him In, once I got about 50% through the book. This book is about Rick, a fella that shows up in Nina and Ash’s life after the death of their husband and father, Paddy. Something about Rick doesn’t feel quite right to Ash, and she starts investigating him and his background. He may have everyone fooled, but her gut is telling her something isn’t quite right.
While At first, it was very hard to keep straight and keep up with. I felt like the MMC could have been developed better with less book dedicated to his story line. I really enjoyed Ash’s story line and detective work. A lot of the book was exhausting with the constant gaslighting. The book did tie up nicely at the end, albeit quickly.
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

WOWZERS! Intensely nail-biting and simmering with a pot-boiling-level of mounting pressure, Don’t Let Him In had me mesmerized from the very first riveting page. You see, beyond the compelling characters and twisty, twisty plot, there was a despicable villain who I loved to hate straight off the block. A gaslighter supreme with no sense of morals, he pulled me in deep as I got to hear the story via his very own words. But, of course, this tale wouldn’t be a complete without a couple of other POVs and dual timelines, showing all sides of this brilliantly tangled web of secrets. Through their eyes, this story was everything I wanted and more, and left my fist pumping the air as I read an epilogue that had me shouting out loud. I kid you not. It was that good.
Let me back up just a bit, though, and cover the basics. With an onion-like plot that had layers of deftly employed secrets and lies, it was a joy to uncover them one by one with each well-timed reveal. And let me tell you, this was one intricate storyline full of plot charging drama and complex group dynamics. I do have to say, though, that while it was a tiny bit of a slow burn at the start, the multiple families and their individual crises caused the simmering start to quickly explode into an addictive game of expert mind games when they began to interweave. It was so addictive, in fact, that I binged this 450+ page novel in just under forty-eight hours. After all, I simply could not put this book down, despite the many chores that were calling my name.
All said and done, I think we should start calling Ms. Jewell the Queen of Suspense. With palpable tension, teasing plot twists, and a perfectly plotted, smile-inducing conclusion, this tale of domestic suspense demonstrated why this author is one of my all-time favorites. What blew me away the most, though, was how utterly plausibleeverything actually was. From the devious manipulation to the unbridled deceit, I could truly see this book instigating my own side-eye suspicion in a partner or spouse. One small warning before I sign off, though. You’re going to need to be on your game while reading this book. As long as you pay close attention, however, the complex plot is sure to win you over in spades. Rating of 5 stars.
Thank you to Lisa Jewell, Atria Books, and NetGalley for my complimentary digital and physical copies. All opinions are my own.

I will admit this book had me hooked. It was super interesting and honestly also exhausting. How many lies is to much to keep up with?! Apparently not enough for the guy in this book. I wanted the ending to go out more with a bang but I overall enjoyed it. A great thriller for summer!

🌟🌟🌟🌟
I enjoyed the thrilling and twisty storylines that this book offered. They tie in together, which I found entertaining.
The beginning was a little on the slower side, but the pacing and excitement did pick up. There was a good amount of suspense, shocks and surprises, which kept me engaged and wanting to read on.
There’s a darkness and reality to the wild story.
Three woman and one man…
Thank you to NetGalley for an arc of this exciting book!
It comes out June 24th! Grab your copy!

Lisa Jewell has done it again!
Seriously, if you're not already worshipping at the altar of her psychological suspense, "Don't Let Him In" is about to convert you.
You know when you find a book that grabs you by the throat from page one and doesn't let go? That's "Don't Let Him In." Lisa Jewell, my queen of domestic suspense, has crafted a masterpiece of deception, and I am still reeling.
Meet Nina, whose late husband's "old friend" Nick Radcliffe waltzes back into her life. He's charming, he's sophisticated, he's got a smile that could probably sell ice to an Eskimo. But Nina's daughter, Ash, has that gut feeling – the one that screams, "TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!" And trust me, when Ash starts digging, things get more than "unsettling."
Then there's Martha, a florist whose devoted husband, Alistair, is suddenly very busy with "work trips."
Nina, Ash, and Martha are on a collision course, and let me tell you, the truth is darker than my soul after a week without coffee. This book is a masterclass in tension, building layer upon layer until you're convinced you can't trust anyone. The title isn't just a catchy phrase, it's a screaming warning.
If you've ever wondered what secrets lie behind the most perfect facades, or if you just love a good thriller that makes your heart pound, "Don't Let Him In" is your next obsession. Get ready for twists, turns, and that signature Lisa Jewell chill that leaves you wondering, "What was that noise?!"
Go forth and get your copy, but for the love of all that is holy, DON'T LET HIM IN!

Don't Let Him In once again demonstrate's Lisa Jewell's ability to create a fascinating tapestry of story, weaving together characters, plot lines, and twists into a delightfully unsettling (yet somehow cozy) read. It feels difficult to describe the plot of the story initially, as the chapters jump from one perspective to another. Yet each story seems to share a baffling connection to one Nick Radcliffe, a man who seems kind, attractive, and completely perfect. We soon learn; however, that things are not quite what they seem. The story moves along at a rapid pace with revelation after revelation that creates an incredibly compelling and tense story.

3.75 (maybe 4) ⭐️ - Once we got rockin, this one was addictive. While not my favorite LJ book, I was still very entertained and hooked.
This wasn’t “thrillery” to me. It was more of a cat-mouse sketchy man storyline. Nothing he did particularly shocked me or made my jaw drop, BUT I was hooked and addicted to connecting the dots and finding out what happened in the end. I liked the puzzle piece mystery aspect of the story and finding new clues. I enjoyed the characters even though they all had flaws. I thought some storylines were going to go in a different direction and was honestly surprised they didn’t? I definitely recommend this one to people who are looking for a messy web of toxic actions and a clue like storyline. I liked the ending but can’t entirely trust LJ so idkkkk that I buy it. I enjoyed the fun addictive-ness to this book, but also wanted more. I’m happy to have read it in the end and it’s definitely an easy bingeable beach/pool/summer read!
Thank you Atria Books and Netgalley for the early ARC of this book!

In "Don't Let Him In," three women are connected by one serial con artist. I recently listened to an Author Talk with Lisa Jewell where she explained that this new book is a little different from her others. It's still dark and creepy and written in her signature tension-building style - however, it's a story about a deeply disturbing (and infuriating) person rather than a mystery to solve. It is described as a "kaleidoscopic thriller," where the three perspectives revolve around each other and then start to intersect.
As usual with multiple POV stories, it took me some time to acclimate to each voice and the timeline jumping, but once I did I really liked that format. I had a lot of questions and things that didn't quite make sense at the beginning, but Lisa Jewell does a good job tying things together and resolving them by the end. And the final twist was oh so good. I definitely had to suspend my belief in reality to fully buy into this, and these types of stories do absolutely nothing for my trust issues - but overall it was quite the disturbing ride!

This book was a great escape! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As always, I can never fully predict where Lisa Jewell is going over the trajectory of her book, especially this one. There were so many great twists and turns along the way. Overall, the role of reader in this book was not just an observer, but was more similar to a detective as the book continued, trying to put the multiple POV and timelines together. At the end of the book, all of the pieces tied together perfectly for a satisfying conclusion, especially given the many stories and viewpoints throughout the narrative. I was fortunate to receive an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley and Ms. Jewell, in exchange for an honest review.

Well, it’s official. Lisa Jewell has given us a character so sinister, so misogynistic, and so horrid that I was prepared to either throw my book across the room or hunt down a fictional villain with the intent to do him harm.
Described as a “kaleidoscope thriller”, Jewell’s latest had me hooked from the start. Short chapters, multiple points of view, and dual timelines keep this story moving at a breakneck pace. I found myself reading just one more chapter until I binge read the entire book in just over twenty-four hours.
I would hate to ruin anyone’s reading experience, so I won’t divulge the plot. I will say, ladies, trust your gut. At the first sign of doubt, run as fast as you can.
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the advance copy. All opinions are my own.

Just when you think you’ve read the creepiest thing possible, you come across the man in the book! The scariest part of this story is the fact that so many women out there have actually encountered men like this. He’s the real deal, and boy-o-boy is he cunning and confident.
I won’t give away any spoilers that will ruin the thrill of uncovering the puzzle, but will give readers a tip: make sure you know the names of the characters in the first few chapters because the story depends on knowing the names of these characters. I did get a little confused in the very beginning because of the time shift and the change of perspective, but don’t let that stop you. Keep going! Trust me, it will all come together and make sense so long as you know the names of the characters.
A definite page turner and a reality of modern relationships that ALL women need to be aware of. Folks out there are getting more inventive every day, and this story really captures the horror of just how far the deceit can go.

Don’t Let Him In is a new summer thriller from Lisa Jewel.
.
🚩multiple timelines
🚩alternating POVs
🚩a big cast of characters
One man, 3 different women, and lies, manipulation, and so much gaslighting!
My oh my, the red flags were flying with our MMC. I did think this thriller was a bit of a slow unfolding story and it didn’t have any jar dropping moments (for me). The ending was a bit rushed and I was hoping for more. Overall, it was entertaining.

Thank you to Atria Books and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and rate this book!

I have read a majority of Lisa Jewell's books and was thrilled to receive a copy of her upcoming summer release Don't Let Him In.
Recently widowed Nina Swann is surprised to find romance with Nick Radcliffe an old friend of her deceased husband. Nina's daughter Ash isn't buying Nick's story and begins an investigation. With multiple points of view and timelines we discover along with Ash, that Nick has more to hide than could be imagined. This book kept me reading, although at times I had to walk away from it due to my frustration with all the villain is able to get away with. Lisa Jewell writes him well and he is A LOT. Because you spend a large majority of the story with him, the book feels that way too.
That being said, overall Lisa Jewell delivers another satisfying, page turning thriller with Don't Let Him In. Thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for allowing me to have an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

3.5 stars rounded up
This was absolutely a great thriller that kept the twists coming (although somewhat predictable) and put the reader in the head of a true monster. Something about this didn’t quite feel like the “usual” Lisa Jewell though - it was a fast paced and intriguing story but there wasn’t as much depth with the characters, he was just a really really bad guy lol

I've been a fan of Lisa Jewell, who I've had the pleasure of meeting, for many years and several of her books I have loved (Then She Was Gone, The Family Upstairs, I Found You, The House We Grew Up In, None of This is True ...).
But Don't Let Him In wasn't her usual engaging and tense read.
This 450 page book is a very slow burn, repetitive story about toxic relationships a male sociopath has with several women. The reader understands his MO right away - he gaslights, steals from and manipulates the women in his life - but despite evidence of his treachery, the women stay with him.
Told in different time frames and a large cast of characters (both were hard to keep track of), this book is filled with the scheming and manipulation of a narcissist. That's it. But it was how these middle-aged women were portrayed as gullible, weak and in need of a man to succeed, that really burned my biscuits.
Repetitive, predictable, underwhelming and longer than it had to be, this was a frustrating and disappointing read for me. Confusing with its characters, icky with its portrayal of women and its repulsive main character and lacking the big, twisty ending we've come to expect from Jewell, it hurts my book nerd heart to say that this book was a big miss for me (but I highly recommend her backlist).
Disclaimer: Thank you to Atria Books for the complimentary digital and paperback arcs of this book which were given in exchange for my honest review.

Lisa Jewell delivers another gripping thriller with Don’t Let Him In. While it’s frustrating (though sadly realistic) to watch women overlook red flags and toxic traits, the story keeps you hooked. The ending is satisfying and ties things together. Overall, it’s a solid, twisty read—perfect for thriller lovers looking for a summer page-turner. Add this one to your TBR!

Don’t Let Him In had a solid premise but it didn’t quite hook me the way I hoped. The pacing felt uneven and I struggled to connect with the characters. I found myself comparing it to None of This Is True—which I enjoyed much more. This one just didn’t pack the same punch.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review early! My opinions are my own.

Nina Swann is grieving the tragic loss of her husband Paddy, when she receives a condolence card from Nick Radcliffe, who says he is an old friend of her late husband. After he reaches out to her a second time, she agrees to meet him, and soon they are dating. Nina is convinced he is a good guy, with a smile that could melt the coldest heart and a knack for putting others at ease. But to Nina’s adult daughter, Ash, Nick seems too slick, too polished, too good to be true. Without telling her mother, Ash begins digging into Nick’s past. What she finds is more than unsettling…
Martha is a florist living in a neighboring town with her infant daughter, 2 sons from a previous marriage and her devoted husband, Alistair. But lately, Alistair has been traveling more and more frequently for work, disappearing for days at a time. When Martha questions him about his frequent absences, he always has a legitimate explanation, but Martha can’t shake the feeling that something isn’t right.
Nina, Martha, and Ash are on a collision course with a shocking truth that is far darker than anyone could have imagined. And all three are about to wish they had heeded the same warning: Don’t let him in. But the past won’t stay buried forever.
I love this author's books. I have yet to read one that I did not thoroughly enjoy. They always have twists and turns you didn't see coming, and end on a twist, which I love. I felt like I knew where this was going the whole time, but I wasn't sure how they were going to get the evidence they needed, because lets face it, the man was shady. I have never been so happy to be single in my life! If you love a good nail-biting thriller, then look no further. I highly recommend this one!
