Lisa Jewell has created another suspenseful masterpiece. The text alternates between three different characters. The main character is a man who takes on multiple different identities becoming involved with different women. As a reader, you are very curious to why he would subject himself to this type of lifestyle. The other two main characters are trying to find the truth in the situations they are involved in. It was a fast paced read with a very satisfying ending!

I am a huge Lisa Jewell fan! I enjoyed this but maybe wasn't in the right mood. I really loved None of This is True. Don't Let Him In is more akin to The Family Remains. If you liked that one, you'll probably love this one.

Unfortunately this book was a miss for me. I wouldn't consider this a thriller, it's more of a domestic drama. I am finding these so over done. I am just so over them I should say. This got a lot of great reviews so please read them before you decide if this book is for you.
I found this story to be too confusing with the main character having so many names, the different timelines made it hard to follow, along with the multiple perspectives. It was just too much trying to keep the details straight without it being interesting enough to keep me invested.
Thank you NetGalley for my ARC.

As a mom of a newborn and a toddler, I needed a book that could hold my focus and Don’t Let Him In was just that. I could not put this book down! I loved the short chapters, although all of the characters did get a little confusing at time. This book was a perfect popcorn thriller and I couldn’t get enough. Thank you NetGalley!

So many of my favorite authors have new books coming out this year, including Lisa Jewell. When the approval notification came in from NetGalley, I stopped the other book I was reading to start it.
What’s been called a “kaleidoscopic thriller,” Don’t Let Him In interweaves three women’s lives as it revolves around one man. You can guess how well that turns out.
With a heavy sprinkling of Dirty John vibes, at times the plot thread was hard to follow. However, it’s a testament to Jewell who manages to create several small trails that lead up to a clear path in the end.
It’s these lesser-noticed small trails that make it easy for people to lose their way and get bamboozled by those who are forcing their reality onto them. So, turns out, the style of the story is reflective of the overall message.
Though not as compelling as her last book, None of This Is True, it was still delightfully juicy, and I’ll be adding this hardcover to my collection when it comes out.

This was an ARC from NetGalley. I am a Lisa Jewell Stan, and this book was just not it. The majority of the book is spent jumping timelines to explain the MMC's cons in great detail. The problem is, there was nothing interesting about the cons or the character. It felt more like the sub message was calling out the lonely women he was conning. It was the same story on repeat. There was no mystery or twist to keep me engaged since everything was already disclosed. I would pass on this one. #netgalley #dontlethimin #mutlitimeline #mysterythiller

I was thrilled to receive this ARC. As a fan who was not quite ready to give up on Jewell's books, after reading this one, I think I am done. I read this as a buddy read with a friend. I was enjoying the first 45% of the book. Things seemed to be going like my usual thrillers do. I was glued to the story and didn't want to put it down. Then, something happened and I was suddenly just reading about this con-man and his money schemes with several wives. Can I say REPETITIVE!? If this wasn't a buddy read, I know I would have bailed on it. I think this book did not do women any favors. The female characters in this book other than Ash were just plain stupid, and honestly, I think most women in real life would never fall for Nick/Jonathan or however many names he has. I HATED this book after the half way mark. It was painful to continue reading it and IDK how I did, honestly. The ending was absolutely STUPID. This book was a complete waste of time. 2 stars.

Whew!
Lisa Jewell has done it again! I was thrilled to recieve a ARC of this book, because Lisa's last book was one of my favorite thrillers in recent years. Don't Let Him In did not disappoint. I think this might actually be the twistiest novel that I read in recent years.
I think each wives' POV was interesting and it's rare when I'm so taken with all the POV. Normally I find myself favoriting certain ones over others, but in this case I wanted to read each chapter with the same speed. While I did sense from the beginning something was up with Al, I realize I think Lisa wanted to take us on the journey of learning about each of the women involved while somewhat knowing that. Al was not a good guy.
With every twist, I couldn't see coming, I was on the edge of my seat for this whole novel. I even cancelled plans the night that I started this book, so I could stay in and read. I think the publishing date of this book makes perfect sense because this is a perfect read to take to the pool or to the beach.
I loved the ending. And truly can't wait till the public can get their hands on this because I CANNOT wait to talk about it with someone!

Jewell is an auto-buy author for me. She always gives us a phenomenal psychological thriller that I devour in one sitting. With a title like “Don’t Let Him in”, you know that a male is going to give us one heck of a crazy plot.
Vulnerable women meet Nick Ratcliffe, as he infiltrates his life into theirs. He is never what he seems and watching him juggle his lifestyle will make your head spin.
Get ready for another delicious novel that will have you turning the pages to find out what Nick will do next! Entertaining and one heck of a ride.

Lisa Jewell does it again! Don’t Let Him In kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting to read more. I swear I couldn’t turn the page fast enough! The way Jewell is able to write from the perspective of so many characters in one book has been something that has always fascinated me. For me, starting off any Lisa Jewell book, I have to be a bit more engaged in order to follow who and what is taking place due to the multiple POVs and time jumps.
Paddy Swann is a local restauranteur who was tragically killed leaving behind his young adult daughter, Ash, and wife, Nina. Each of them cope with the death differently and struggle from time to time to relate and stay close. Nick, an old friend of Paddy’s find’s his way into the life and home of Nina shortly after his death. They become friendly quickly, but Ash isn’t so sure about Nick. Something seems off and she’s not going to let him get too close if she has any say in the matter. Ash reaches out to people from her fathers past to try to put the pieces together.
The book also follows the life and family of Martha, who is married to Al. Martha is running her own business while caring for her young children from a previous marriage and the child she has with Al. No matter how hard she works, they are always short on cash. Al is consistently leaving abruptly, without notice and often is unreachable. This has Martha questioning what he is really doing and what he has been up to on all of these business trips and eventually takes matters into her own hands.
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books publishing company for allowing me to read the advanced readers copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Lisa Jewell books should be no longer than 320 pages and should only be read on a beach
A lot of the plots are the same and the characters are two dimensional
Lisa Jewell is going to be a no go from me for the future. Maybe it's my fault for reading too many thrillers but they're starting to be the same

Paddy’s death from a deliberate push in front of a train brings Nick into Paddy’s family’s orbit - and whoa! their world start spinning! You see, Nick isn’t who he says he is and Paddy’s daughter will stop at nothing to prove he is lying.
It took a little bit for me to adjust to the changing POVs. It switches between third person and first person, but once I got into the rhythm it was less disjointed. Lisa did a tremendous job of making the villain of this story absolutely detestable!

My love for Lisa Jewell started with Ralph's Party and I've followed her ever since. She definitely didn't disappoint with this twisty book of Don't Let Him In and boy is the title right with not letting him in. I enjoyed the tale being told from many different sides and going back in time.
Definitely don't want to give away the book, but I will tell you a charismatic restrauntar, Paddy Swann, is killed while waiting for a train to go back home. It leaves his wife Nina running his restaurant empire and his daughter Ash who is already in mental distress even further into it. In walks Nick Ratcliffe who is an old friend of Paddy's trying to ease his way into their life.
I enjoyed the telling of the story from Nick and Ash. Also the way that it all came together was beautifully written.
Thank you #NetGalley for the advance copy!

If you follow me over on the ‘Gram you’ll see my nightly stories consist of what trashy documentary I’m currently imbibing. Lisa Jewell’s newest is for all of you out there who, like me, are obsessed with all things The Tinder Swindler.
Take your “oh I can’t suspend disbelief THIS MUCH” and other naysaying and shove it straight up your buttholes. This was freaking fantastic.
ARC provided by Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you, NetGalley!

Ehh not my favorite of Lisa Jewell’s books. I feel like the mystery was fairly obvious, and there was no big twist at the end (besides the epilogue, and even that wasn’t shocking).
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for sending me this book!

I’ve been reading Jewell since the nineties when I was a teenager and her turn to mysteries/suspense has been fun. I think her background writing more general fiction helps her here because the characters feel like real people rather than just there for the plot.
I did feel like it there were some stumbling blocks in the time line, I wish we had learned what happened at the main character’s job earlier because they kept bringing it up and the “reveal” was a little bit of a letdown and too close to when we learn more about the con artist which deflated it.
I did enjoy the ending that tied all the threads together and loved the setting.

Lisa Jewell is a go-to author for me, I loved her last book. However, this one missed the mark a lot for me. I like alternating pov's, but in this case, it was a tough one to navigate through. There wasn't any transition, and with the number of characters is found it to be rather confusing for a huge portion of the book. I know a lot of times, authors do this to rack the readers brain, but it didn't work for me. I'd rather she labeled who's chapter it was. It also could have been trimmed down. A lot of the book was repetitive to the summary. This type of book has been done again and again. This may have not been for me, but I'll always look forward to her next novels. I appreciate this approval galley! Thank you.

Lisa Jewell fan here! I was all in on her new thriller! For a minute I didn't quite understand what I was supposed to be connecting between the different characters, but then they all meshed together in a really cool way. This book was not as dark as her other books which was a nice change. There were a number of twists that I picked up on, but there were a few satisfying ones that I didn't see coming.
Looking forward to seeing this in print!
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria for the gifted e-ARC of this book.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!
Another 5 star read from Lisa Jewell ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lisa Jewell is one of my favorite thriller writers and she did not disappoint again!!!
Ash, is the daughter of a recently deceased Patty Swan who was semi-famous restaurant owner. Ash becomes suspicious of a new man (which she should all the red flags 🚩) who has come into her mother’s life recently. She starts to look into the life of this name man named Nick Radcliffe's life. She begins to find out about Nicks life and reveals some very crazy things. Lots of mystery, murder and mayhem in Nicks double well maybe quadruple life lol. This story is told in multiple POVs. Again Lisa Jewell writes a crazy story that has you on the edge of your seat and your jaw on the floor the whole time! I can’t wait for her next crazy ride!

Lisa Jewell never disappoints! I loved this book!! I had so many suspicions from the beginning, and I really didn’t think Ash was an unreliable narrator like Lisa wanted us to think. I’m glad I was right! I’m still so shocked that “Nick/Al” conned so many women. I felt so bad for them, and his children! This was a solid 4 star read, and can’t wait for her next book!!
