This was a slow burn story that I found to be much different than Lisa's other books. This story was more interesting than thrilling and I think that it provided interesting social commentary on a very real situation that happens today. In many thrillers I feel that you tend to have to suspend disbelief for some parts of the story. In this story of a man who is leading multiple lives, I found for the most part that the story was very real. I think when we hear of people living multiple lives and the other families not knowing about it we think how is that even possible? I think this book really shed light on how that could be possible the lengths that we will go to, to justify why our loved one does things or behaves in certain ways. Although I did enjoy the story I felt that it did lack that kind of furious page turning, needing to know "who done it" intensity. Still, it was a good, enjoyable read that makes you really think about how much you know about the person that you love..

Thank you, NetGalley, Lisa Jewell, and the publishing company for this eARC.

I tend to really enjoy Lisa Jewell's books, but this just wasn't my cup of tea. The characters were unlikable, the ending was predictable, and the amount of narrators to keep up with was difficult. That said, I did enjoy the concept and closure at the end. Though this wasn't my favorite of her books, she is still one of my favorite writers.

I really wanted to love this book because None of this is True, Jewell’s previous book was fantastic. I liked the premise of this book- the seemingly perfect con man but felt like it truly dragged on and then just ended. There was so much leading up to the end and then it just ends. I did like the twist with the letters at the end (don’t want any spoilers!) and that the Amanda character came through in the end (since I share a name I was hoping she wasn’t too terrible!). Overall not a terrible read but did not live up to the expectations of what I was expecting

Another Lisa Jewell masterpiece!! This book keeps the reader super engaged and I love how it ping-pongs back and forth amongst all the different characters/storylines of his various “families.” I got sucked in and enjoyed the journey! Can’t wait for the next LJ book to come out. Thanks NG for the early copy to read and review.

Lisa Jewell's Don't Let Him In is a masterclass in slow-burn suspense that will leave you breathless. For the first half of the book, we're introduced to a seemingly normal family, but subtle hints and unsettling interactions create a sense of something being deeply wrong. This deliberate pacing, while initially slow, is crucial to the story's impact. It allows Jewell to develop the characters and their relationships, making the eventual unraveling of the truth all the more shocking.
I found myself unable to put the book down, frantically turning pages to uncover the truth. Jewell's writing is sharp and compelling, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.

I really enjoyed this one overall! It was fast paced and I loved the different points of view! There were times where I wish more details had been given, such as how Simon met Joe to arrange for Paddy’s death to take place. I also wish we could have learned about his Nina found Simon’s background information. All in all this was a page turning read that was so much fun!

Probably not my favorite Lisa Jewell book but still great nonetheless! She is an auto buy author for me and I’ll read anything she puts out.

Don’t Let Him In is a gripping tale that depicts the modern life horrors of deceitful men.

Jewell’s writing style is captivating and truly sucked me in. I read this book in a few sittings because I couldn’t put it down. I also would like to note the incredible detail Jewell puts into her characters. By the end of the book, I felt like I truly knew Ash and was rooting for her.

Compared to Lisa Jewell’s other works, I felt like this book was a slow-burn mystery as opposed to a fast paced thriller. Additionally, I felt like the twists were predictable and slightly lackluster. However, this did not take away from how much I enjoyed this book- it was just different than what I had expected.

I recommend going into this book blind. If you like Jewell’s other works or Shari Lapena, you’ll love this book!

It was interesting and kept my interest but it was hard for me to truly get invested. It’s hard for me to decide whether I liked this one or not.

Another great book by Lisa Jewell! The TENSION I felt in every chapter was crazy. There were so many twists and turns, and even when it felt like nothing big was happening, I was trying to connect every little detail because when things were “slow”, I knew we’d soon uncover another secret. There were many moments when I felt the same as I do if I watch a scary movie, like it’s too happy and something bad it about to happen 😆 I had some theories about half way in but Lisa’s writing made me feel like I was wrong. Some of my theories ended up being right but I was still surprised because I thought it was going in a different direction. I love how she weaves so many little details together and how she can catch you off guard at any moment!

Thank you to the author and Atria for the e-arc!

Lisa Jewell is an auto buy thriller author for me, so I was thrilled to buddy read her upcoming with a friend. I do recommend others go into this one blind as it ramps up the suspense and was easier to connect the puzzle pieces. There were moments were I found myself gasping on the edge of my seat and others were I thought "oh, okay I easily predicted this." The first 60% of Don't Let Him In had me INVESTED, wanting to know how this all ended up however; by the ending, I was left disappointed and wanted more, especially because I knew who "Nick" was from the first time his character arc was introduced. While this wasn't my favorite thriller, I'm curious to hear others theories and takes and look forward to reading what comes out next.

An entertaining, twisty tale. Early into the story, I had nearly marked this as a DNF, which is surprising for me since I do enjoy Jewell’s writing style. I did not like the male main character, his thoughts were disturbing, yet that is what makes for a talented writer, right? So, I continued and, while the outcome of the story is predictable, it’s the journey and becoming more acquainted with the characters and how their lives blend together that make this a good read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc.

As far as psychological thrillers goes. Lisa Jewell is one of my go tos. One of my favorites is ‘Then She Was Gone’ and ‘The Night She Disappeared’ I will always read anything Lisa Jewell writes, but compared to others, this is not one of my favorites. The story was..compelling and had a lot of drama, it overall for me- kind of boring.

Lisa Jewell’s thrillers are usually hit-or-miss for me, and unfortunately this one was a miss. The first 30% was very enticing, but the plot is so painfully obvious with no twists and turns, and it was very repetitive. I struggled to read the last bit and just wanted it to be over.

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria for the arc

I absolutely love this book! I loved everything about this book from the title to characters to the plot and ending. It is a binge worthy read. Before reading this book, I was beginning to think that a 4 or 5 star read was not possible anymore. I thought that I would have to lower my reading standards because I was reading a lot of books that were either bad or not very crafty or cleverly written. Of course, that is until I picked up this Jewell book, and I was blown away!!!

This book checked every criteria I had and exceeded it.
Book Cover and Title= 10
Plot= 10
Writing Style=10

Moved or Wowed= 10

Ending = 10

The plot and storyline were entertaining and well executed. The characters were well developed and brilliantly written. I could see and feel the emotions and surroundings of these characters. and they felt lifelike. The title says it all Don't Let Him In! I know this guy, the handsome charmer that slides his way in through the lives of multiple women. It was awesome to read how this story developed and the role each character played. This book is just brilliantly written and by far the best book I have read this year! Hands down! I can't believe how well the characters were written, especially the character or Nick. I think I have even run into this man 😆. I 101 percent recommend this book

Lisa Jewell’s Don’t Let Him In is a fast-paced, gripping thriller about trust, deception, and the secrets people hide. After Paddy Swann’s sudden death, his widow Nina and daughter Ash meet Nick Radcliffe, an old friend who quickly charms Nina. But Ash isn’t convinced—something about him feels off. As she digs deeper, unsettling truths start to surface.

Jewell keeps the tension high, making you question who to trust. The characters feel real, and their struggles pull you in. Some twists may be predictable, but the suspense keeps you hooked. If you love psychological thrillers, this one delivers.

Don't Let Him In is a suspenseful read, full of twists that I did not predict (and some that I did). The beginning takes some time to get the characters figured out, but once it gets rolling, I found it hard to put down. The plot was at times uncomfortable for me as the main male character is not very likeable and takes advantage of women at every turn.
Overall, I would recommend this to fans of Lisa Jewell. It is another excellent addition to her quickly growing list of riveting novels.

3 ⭐️ Thank you NetGalley, Atria Books, and Lisa Jewell for the ARC of Don’t Let Him In!

The multiple POV’s and timeline was so confusing for me that I was often left wondering what was going on/which perspective the chapter was focusing on. The plot of the story was great and SUPER inventive; I haven’t read a book like it before, but it was leaving me rereading the first half of the book multiple times to get a sense of what was even going on. If you love multiple POVs, you’ll love this book!

This book has some good twists in it! While it’s not my new favorite by this author, I did enjoy the story and trying to figure out what might happen. Thanks so much for the advance copy!
