I’m not used to this many female characters from the get go and was hard to keep track of them all.
It's enjoyable and fast-paced, but had to read back a few pages at times to see which character I was reading about.
Nonetheless, a good suspense thriller and will keep you on your toes. I would have liked to see another chapter or two about the male mc.
Synopsis:
Three women are connected by one man in this kaleidoscopic thriller. Restauranteur Paddy Swann was the life of the party until the day a man pushed him in the path of an oncoming train, leaving his twenty-something daughter Ash and wife Nina devastated. Shortly after Paddys funeral, the two women receive a surprise in the mail: a note and package from Nick Radcliffe, an old friend of Paddys, and a nondescript lighter that once belonged to him decades ago. This unexpected gift draws Nick and Nina closer together—much to Ashs dismay.
Martha is a small-town florist with dreams of expansion. She lives with her second husband Al, her baby, and two sons from her prior marriage. But they never seem to have any money, and with his constant traveling for work, she feels like a single parent—especially when an emergency makes her realize something needs to change. But Nick and Al may not be who they say they are, leading these three women on a shocking collision course, wishing they had heeded a warning: Dont let him in.
5/27/25 Received an ARC today compliments of @atriabooks and @netgalley! Diving into this @jewellwrites 🔥

I love books with multiple POV’s but this one felt extremely flat for me. It was confusing at times who was talking, and I do think the chapters might benefit with being labeled on whose POV it is because occasionally it randomly jumps it felt mid chapter.
This was supposed to be a thriller, and honestly not much of this was thrilling. It was very predictable, the characters felt bland and the story just rushed. And that was disappointing, I’ve heard so many good things about Lisa’s writing I just don’t know if maybe it was this one book or what. I do plan on reading her other books to find out for myself.
Thank you to Netgalley and Atria Books for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was so crazy--in all the best ways possible. I don't normally gravitate to a male POV, but this was excellent--necessary to figure out his thinking versus the women's thinking. A complete psychopath worms his way into different lives, creating different lives and identities of his own. It isn't always from his POV--just in some of the past scenes. Other times it is third person so you only get glimpses. You don't get his POV in the present until the time periods merge. It isn't as confusing as I am making it sound. It can seem like a lot of characters in the beginning, but once you get your head around what is going on, you can hardly stop reading. There are definitely some spots where you have to suspend a little more disbelief than normal--that wouldn't really happen--but it is a thriller with lots of twists to resolve. Can also really make you think about the excuses you accept and the stories we allow people to tell us when we desire some sort of comfort more than the truth. But if you love a creepy thriller, this will be an awesome summer read. Thank you to Atria Books and NetGalley for the ARC and the opportunity to share my review.

Mixed thoughts about this one- while it kept me entertained (I binged most of this over two days), there was no “wow” factor / surprise plot twist- it felt pretty predictable to me. Multiple POVs and multiple timelines, but it was very easy to keep up with it all!
If you enjoy a lot of Lisa Jewell’s books such as Then She Was Gone, I think this book will be right up your alley! Unfortunately, after None of This Is True, I had very very high hopes for this one, and it fell a little short for me. All in all, I definitely enjoyed it, just wish there was a little more surprise factor to it!
HOWEVER this book reminds me why I refuse to use dating apps!!!!!!!! If you are in your “i don’t trust men” era, this book is DEFINITELY for you!! thank you so much to Atria books for the arc!

I know so many people love Lisa Jewell & I really wanted to love this one but it really wasn't for me.
I am going to start with a three star rating. I was intrigued by the plot but the timelines were a lot for me. I don't want to say that this was a bad story, it just wasn't for me.
The multiple pov's and jumpy timelines had my head spinning. If multiple pov's are a thing you enjoy, then this might be the book for you.
If you typically enjoy Lisa Jewel novels, I’d give it a try, maybe this is just not the one for me.
I would like to thank Atria Books & Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Expected publication June 24, 2025.

Lisa Jewell is by far one of my most favorite psychological thriller authors. Her newest thriller, "Don't Let Him In" did not disappoint. Full of dark secrets, murder, manipulation, toxic relationships, and suspense, this was a quick read for me. The book is written from different perspectives. The author did a great job with the transitions and connections. Overall, I highly recommend this one. It had the shock factor I want from a thriller. ⭐️4 STRONG STARS!⭐️
Thank you NetGalley and Atrial Books for the eArc. Don't miss the opportunity to get your copy! Publishing date: 6/24/!

As expected from Lisa Jewell, Don't Let Him In is dark, unsettling, and compulsively readable. Jewell continues to prove she’s a master of psychological suspense, pulling readers into the treacherous underbelly of modern relationships. This is exactly the kind of story that makes me feel very grateful to be done with dating apps!
That said, the storytelling here felt a bit clunky at times. I found myself flipping back to earlier chapters to piece together timelines and keep track of characters. Picture the Charlie Day red string conspiracy meme, and you've got the idea. While it did pull me out of the story now and then, it wasn’t enough to ruin the experience.
The twists? Brilliant. The characters? Maddening in all the right ways. Jewell has a knack for crafting people you want to scream at, yet can’t stop reading about. And while she’s known for her ambiguous endings, I appreciated that this one wrapped up tightly, with a clear and satisfying conclusion.
Overall, a gripping, twist laden read that feels all too relevant in today’s world. Just maybe... keep your dating profiles on pause for a while after this one.
Manny thanks to NetGalley, Atria Books, and Lisa Jewell for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinions.

This book was a quick read.
I loathed the main character, Nick/Andre/Damain/etc, but that was the point. I also kept thinking that there’s no way this man women would fall for it, but unfortunately I think its possible.
Lisa always produces easy reads and I look forward to the next.
ARC received from NetGalley

I gave Don’t Let Him In by Lisa Jewell 3 stars. While the premise was intriguing, I figured out the main twist fairly early, which took away from the suspense. The constant switching between characters and timelines made the story feel scattered and at times hard to follow. There were simply too many characters with backstories that didn’t always feel necessary. That said, it wasn’t a bad read—just not one of Jewell’s strongest. If you enjoy layered thrillers with multiple perspectives, you might enjoy it more than I did.

Lisa Jewell has done it again. I liked where this book went, although I was able to kind of put two and two together but it wasn't until the very end that I was able to piece everything together. This is the type of book that you have to read between the lines because you will definitely find yourself flipping backwards to put the puzzle together.
I did not care for the husband at all. He was such a .... I can't say much without giving spoilers (& I want this to be a spoiler free review) & I really enjoyed the twists. (Yes.. plural lol)
I can't wait for the finished book to be published because the ARC was 455 pages and on here it says the finished copy is about 368 pages so I can't wait to see what was taken out or changed.

The scream i screamed when i got approved for this, i think Lisa Jewell has the best writing in thrillers right now. I love that we are in her characters but slightly detached. This one was so interesting to me because it was so much more literary than her previous thrillers!! I spent less time worrying about individually characters being harmed personally (although there is that) and so much more time in the head of “him.” While i don’t think the ending was as explosive or mind blowing as i expected it to be, i still think the book has plenty of merit. It really toes the line between fiction and suspense for me!

This novel had all the suspense! I found it to be mysterious, dark and tense. It is well written and easy to read. This book comes with different perspectives and alternating timelines. This book also comes with a whole lot of deception, secrets and female empowerment! It involves a guy named Nick and three different women. All of these women get tangled up in manipulation, lies and the illusion of perfection. Overall, I rate this a 3 out of 5 stars!
If you are a fan of Lisa Jewell’s books, you will enjoy reading this one! Content warnings include psychological abuse, gaslighting, murder, toxic relationships and death.
Thank you to NetGalley, author Lisa Jewell and Atria Books for this electronic ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
This book is expected to be published on June 24, 2025!

There’s something satisfying about encountering a character so frustrating, you want to throw your Kindle—Lisa Jewell really delivers on that front in this suspense-filled read.
It starts with the shocking death of Paddy Swann, a beloved restaurateur pushed in front of a train. His widow, Nina, begins seeing someone new, but her daughter Ash isn’t convinced he’s the right man for her.
We also follow Martha, a new mom and florist, trying to stay afloat while her once-charming husband Al seems to disappear when she needs him most.
With multiple characters to follow, I kept notes to stay on track—but once everything started to connect, the plot really paid off. Lisa Jewell ties the threads together with precision and the suspense had me hooked the whole way through.

I was highly anticipating this book, so I was extremely excited to receive an early copy. Lisa Jewell knocked this one out of the park. I literally could not put this book down! I loved the alternating POVs and short chapters. The characters were great, especially Ash. This book is officially my favorite from Lisa Jewell.

I really enjoyed this one! I was a bit confused at the beginning because there are so many different characters but thankfully I only felt that way for a few chapters. The chapters were very short which I liked and there were many different POVs. I’ve been super excited for this one because I have loved Lisa Jewell’s other books and it definitely met my expectations! It had me hooked & after about the 20% mark I could not put it down! I read it in one day!!

A fantastic book with short chapters that had me totally hooked. It's not something fresh but Lisa gives it great treatment and makes it ultra compelling.
Full review to come.

I was let down by this book…it was VERY confusing going back and forth years back and present day. And the amount of characters introduced was overwhelming to me.

4.8 Stars.
Lisa is an exceptional writer, and her books consistently draw you in from the very beginning, just like this one.
The narrative was a captivating journey that maintained an air of mystery from the very start. Each detail and character was crafted with remarkable skill, consistently surpassing expectations as the story unfolded. The character development was impressive and effortlessly engaging.
This narrative prompts middle-aged singles to reconsider the dating landscape—a thorough background check or even extensive police report might be as essential. As it certainly teaches a lesson.
I found this book to be an absolute delight and highly recommend it to adult readers. This would make an excellent choice for a book club discussion.

A few years ago, Lisa Jewell helped me find my way back to books and my love of reading and she has yet to disappoint me.
Don't Let Him In has, by far, the best portrayl of a psychopath I have ever read. This is a complicated story with dual perspectives and timelines that Lisa Jewell managed to masterfully weave and while most of the puzzle pieces are laid out pretty early, I could not put this one down.

Oh the excitement i had to get to read this early!
Lisa Jewell's books just keeps getting better and better.
This is her best book yet!
I do not understand how this man can keep track of of all the lies!
