Thank you, Atria Books, for providing a copy of Don’t Let Him In by Lisa Jewell. I liked Ash’s investigation into Nick’s past, and how far she went to figure things out. It went on too long though. I usually like multiple timelines, but in this book I thought they made the story confusing. This is a slow starter. You'll have to be patient and let the story unfold. I’m not sure this book was really for me. It’s getting really good reviews though, so you might love it! 3 stars

Nina lost her restauranteur husband to murder nine months ago, her 26 year old daughter, Ash, is back at home after having a nervous breakdown. Nina is just trying to hold the pieces of her family together when she receives a letter from a dear old friend of her husbands, Nick Radcliffe. From here the two begin to correspond back and forth. Nina decides it's nice to talk to someone that knew and loved her husband. Eventually they decide to meet and the sparks fly instantly.

Ash, on the other hand, doesn't buy what Nick is selling and vows to protect her mother in any way she can.

Meanwhile, Martha is growing tired of her husband, Al, and his constant traveling leaving her to tend with the kids and the house while he is off doing who knows what. He shuts his phone off and avoids her for days and weeks at a time. Always with an excuse and always some one else's fault. During one of his disappearing acts their infant daughter becomes sick and still her husband is no where be found and won't answer her texts and calls. This may be the very last straw.

These two stories and more converge into an absolutely juicy and explosive reveal.

Lisa Jewell has done it again. She always manages to reel me in and keep me hooked. This isn't the most original plot but the way Jewell peels back the layers in such a tantalizing way keeps the reader holding their breath in anticipation. This book is officially beach bag approved! 4 stars!

I am a huge fan of Lisa Jewell, so when I saw this new book coming out, I had to get my hand on it. I was a bit disappointed though and it certainly won't be on my list of favorites by her. I was quite confused for the first half of the book, and not in a mysterious way, in a way that was difficult to follow. I found myself turning back to previous pages a lot to reread and see if I could figure out what I was missing.

Don't Let Him In by Lisa Jewell is a fantastic thriller with multiple POVs and twists and turns galore. Lots of drama and this one kept me interested. A solid 3.5 star read for me.

this was not my favorite Lisa Jewell. I didn't dislike it but I felt it was predictable. I'll admit, I was confused for a good chunk of the beginning. This is a book where each chapter bounces back and forth between multiple characters POV and the reader is responsible for deciphering who the people are. I find this hard to do, when i don't have many details. You know that feeling, where it seems as though you missed something important, and you are constantly trying to figure it out? That happened to me in the beginning.

Don't Let Him In is a psychological thriller that completely delivers. Lisa Jewell yet again expertly builds tension while developing layered, realistic characters—especially in Nina and Ash. I absolutely love the dual perspectives and shifting between them made reading this piece absolutely jaw-dropping. I was fully invested in their individual stories, and when their paths finally collide, the result is explosive and deeply satisfying. I sat there completely floored for a bit after finishing this one.

The antagonist’s true motives are revealed piece by piece, and the twists are both shocking and believable. As the storylines converge, the revelations hit hard—they’re surprising, intense, and just when you think things can’t possibly escalate further, they do. And somehow, it all feels disturbingly plausible.

Jewell has a gift for turning ordinary moments into something sinister, and this book is packed with those chilling surprises. A truly addictive read that kept me guessing until the very end. Easily 5 stars!

I admit I’m not always a fan of the author; I tend to find her books compelling but unsatisfying. This one, however, is probably the best I’ve read by her. It lacks some of the twists I enjoy in thrillers (or at least the twists are obvious in this case) but I did find myself engaged throughout.

I read None Of This Is True last year and was an instant fan. I love Lisa Jewell’s writing. It’s engaging and quick and I can’t put her books down.

This book is about a con man who says all the right things and is always in control until he isn’t. It’s about imperfect families and happy moments and control and deception all mixed together. I loved the past/present day chapter hopping and all the different character perspectives.

I flew through this but it was just okay for me. There was nothing bad about it necessarily, but it felt pretty repetitive and I needed to get to the point. I loved the characters though and truly felt pure hatred for the main guy which was fun! The chapters from his perspective were honestly my favorite because you never knew exactly what he was going to do next and what he would tell himself about it. I couldn’t wait to see how it would end.

I really, really wanted to love this book more! I love Lisa Jewell!

This read was so slow & repetitive and I felt like I knew exactly where it was going. It had so many characters that I had a hard time keeping up.

I really wanted to like this more.

This book was a bit different than what I’ve come to expect from Lisa Jewell and I enjoyed it! The multiple timelines and POV really kept me interested and turning the page to see what would come to light next. This was more of a slow burn thriller than an edge of your seat thriller but still managed to be suspenseful. It’s amazing how one person can ruin so many lives. I also found the ending to be extremely satisfying!

Jewell’s storytelling is suspenseful and emotionally engaging, with strong female characters and plenty of twists. While the villain can feel a bit over-the-top, the book is a compelling and satisfying read for fans of psychological thrillers.

I’ve always been a fan of Lisa Jewell, and in Don’t Let Him In she delivers another thrilling read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. There are so many twists it will make your head spin, and the Epilogue was such a satisfying end to the book. Definitely recommend!

Lisa Jewell is a fantastic author. It was another page-turner, and I couldn't put it down. Possibly my favorite of hers yet.

Lisa Jewell’s Don't Let Him In terrified me—not because it’s far-fetched, but because everything that happens feels like it could happen. Probably has happened. That realism makes the story hit harder and linger longer. Jewell has this uncanny way of building tension that feels personal, like you’re not just reading the story—you’re inside it. I found myself racing through the pages, as if finishing it faster could somehow help the characters escape what was coming.

And seriously—if this ever becomes a movie, cast Neal McDonough as the villain. I couldn’t shake the feeling that Jewell had him in mind the whole time. Cold charm, quiet menace—he’d be perfect.

If you like thrillers that feel just a little too close to real life, this one will get under your skin.

I really love this author and I was so excited to read this but I got about 25% into it and just couldn't finish. I love thrillers and love the ones that keep me guessing but with this one I knew from the start what the twist was and it just really didn't keep me engaged enough to finish the book when I knew what the conclusion was.

Lisa Jewell always knocks it out of the park. I loved this book. It was fast paced, interesting characters and kept me guessing.

I’ve been a Lisa Jewell fan for years, and this is one of her best books so far!

Ash Swann doesn’t trust her mother’s new boyfriend. Appearing soon after her father was killed in a horrible incident, Nick Radcliffe sends up alarm bells for Ash. Things just aren’t adding up. As she begins to look into his history, she makes shocking discovery after shocking discovery. Who is Nick really and what are his motives?

Don’t Let Him In is dark, creepy, and utterly compelling. I couldn’t put it down! The short chapters, timeline jumps and narrator switches kept me engaged throughout the entire book. Jewell’s writing is subtly creepy; I found myself a little jumpy while reading at night. The story just flowed and I loved seeing how all the pieces fit together by the end. This is a must-read summer thriller!

Lisa Jewell has written another intriguing and highly readable novel. Her characters are well-developed, and you quickly form emotional attachments to them as you read. She crafts a story like an onion — with each turn of the page, another layer is peeled away. The intricate web she weaves pulls the reader in, making it almost impossible to put the book down.

Nina, a woman grieving the recent loss of her husband, is drawn in when Nick reaches out, claiming to have an item that once belonged to her late husband. With his witty charm and boyish good looks, Nick seems like a breath of fresh air, offering Nina a way out of her sorrow. Meanwhile, Martha runs a floral shop while raising a young child. She's frustrated by her husband's frequent business trips, which leave her feeling alone and unsupported.

Unfortunately, these two women are about to collide in a devastating love triangle that will leave neither of them unscathed. When a man is not who he seems — and his intentions are anything but pure — danger is inevitable. Who will triumph in the end? Who will pay the ultimate price? Delve in and prepare to be captivated.

Another jaw- dropping, page turner . I’m not going to go into much on what this book is about , as I feel I would give the whole book away. If you are a fan of Lisa Jewell , and love fast-paced books - then I definitely recommend reading this one .
