I was thoroughly confused throughout this book.
There were too many stories and characters.
Which made my head spin.
I just couldn't get into it at all

Rating: 3.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
Trope & Genre Highlights: Multi-POV w/Time jumps, psychological thriller, dark romance, masked man, forced proximity.
When Alice is kidnapped the time line unfolds to reveal why she was kidnapped, who she is, and what her future holds.
Thoughts: Congrats on your debut novel! 🎉 I found The Good Girl to be incredibly intriguing. It truly kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time dying to know how the story would unfold and what was going to happen next. There are some parts that I personally wished were more fleshed out, but I feel like the exclusion led to more of the mystery of this novel. Overall, it was a good book & I can’t wait to see what you write next.

Holy hell that was a wild ride! Starting out I had no idea which way this was going to go, I finished chapter one and immediately texted my bestfriend “this woman is gonna blow up the confessional” then bam I’m going back decades to see how Jenna, Sam, Sir, Alice, Her and Father Cilice got the point where this was the choice to make. This was romance and mystery and thriller all thrown into one dark romantic book and I ate it up!

This is the type of book that will have you saying “Holy Shit!” as soon as you reach the end. This was DARK and I loved it. At first the time line and characters seemed too confusing to keep up with, but we quickly see why and how it’s set up like that. It wasn’t feeding us the mystery, we were part of it, and I really appreciated that as a reader!

This book was interesting and I'm not sure I mean that in a good way. It was fairly easy to figure out what was going on with the Father and why he was visited at the confessional so that took a little of the fun out of the book for me.
Between Jenna being a shit partner, Sam being a complete brat, Sir being well Sir, and the weird timeline for everything I just didn't love this story. That's not to say you shouldn't give this book a try for yourself, it just wasn't my favorite. <spoiler><spoiler>Also where tf did Jeff go? What was the point of his character? Was Jeff just a random character? I didn't get clarity on this part. And I thought Alice deserved a better ending than the one she got. </spoiler></spoiler>

Not my vibe but definetly could be good for those who like their darker romance themes. It was very confusing having the multiple timelines and I often got lost in the story and wasn’t able to understand what was happening.

I don't know what I read but I liked it. I finished this a few weeks ago and forgot to review it. It follows more than one story and timeline. I honestly was surprised by the way this story followed for me. I loved it and can't wait to read more by SB.

This book follows multiple timelines and perspectives that jump around a lot. Jenna and Sam are this immediate love that just seems to keep missing each other while they grow from lusty teens to women making their way into adulthood. Then enter’s Sir who throws a wrench into everything.
The narrative is great although predictable, it’s easy to figure out who is who in the subtext of the chapters. I found the bouncing around of timelines to be confusing at first but it does start to become easier.
I expected way more steam than was actually given in this read, a lot of angst without the reader getting any of the follow through.
Overall, this read just left me unsatisfied in all ways.

Following multiple timeliness, The Good Girl is a bit challenging to follow at times. Overall just too much back and forth, I felt myself getting confused and bored.

This was extremely hard to follow. Between the different characters to the plot itself, it was really difficult to finish.

You know when you have one of those books or anything that just leaves you thoroughly confused? That was this book. Did it capture my attention? Yes. Did I finish it? Yes. Did I understand what was going on? Partially? Did I enjoy it? I'm not sure. Was it interesting, and something I've never read before? Yes. If you're looking for a Happy ending this is not it.
You start out present day, then time jump to fourty years ago, then 30 years ago, but throughout the whole book, with multiple POVs. I think it was classifies as a Dark Romance, however there is no "spice." You do get an early love story, kind of, of two teenagers. Then another timeline is a story about a women kidnapped. You see how her kidnapper breaks her but there is not actual detail or sex scenes within the book.

1.5⭐
The book follows multiple timelines. One is about two girls, Sam and Jenna, who fell in love at a young age; another focuses on a young woman, Alice, who has been kidnapped by a man demanding she call him Sir. There's also an old woman and a priest.
I quickly guessed who Alice was, but I was surprised to find out who Sir turned out to be.
There are so many characters, and all these stories unfold in parallel, making it hard to stay focused. I finished the book with great effort just to find out how it ends, but the ending disappointed me. After reading, I was left with only one question: what was that?
Thank you to NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

An amazing dark romance like I love them,
SO many secrets and twists and drama.
I loved the plot and caracters.
I was hooked from page one.

A really good mix between dark romance and suspense/thriller. An emotional rollercoaster that was a little bit predictable at times, but overall very well written.

Firstly thank you to the publishers for my early access in exchange for a review.
I’ve reviewed a few of this authors books and this is definitely one of their strongest .
Thought provoking and well written

This book is super unique. I’ve never read anything like this before. I really enjoyed the authors writing style. The way in which the chapters and different timelines flow together adds an element of suspense.I enjoyed the fact some chapters were very short and to the point while others were just long enough . I had so many theories about the characters while reading the story, then a curveball would pop up. And boy oh boy I was not ready for the ending.
This is one of those books that keeps you flipping through each page because you can’t wait to find out what happens next. Sam and Jenna, each brought their own kind of tension, excitement and passion in the story. Sir left me with my mouth agape a ridiculous amount of times. I highly highly recommend if you like dark romance//thriller.

Nope, just nope.
I stopped at 52%
I didn't like the multiple points of view, some topics (I know there was a warning at the beginning of the book but still). And it was boring.

Thank you Net Galley for the ARC. This book was an emotional rollercoaster i couldn’t put it down!! the mix between dark romance and suspense was soo addictive. while some moments felt a little predictable the overall story was engaging.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc.
This is a dark and compelling book.It starts off strong and you are easily sucked into the story. The tension and angst between Sir and Alice was believable. It kept me guessing as to how their story will unfold. The jumping between timelines gets confusing at first but it gets better as you continue reading it. The different POV’s was welcomed and I needed to know how they all relate to each other. It was a little predictable but I was still surprised by who the priest is. Overall, “The Good Girl” by SB Rogue was enjoyable, I loved the twists and I’m glad to have read it.

This one leaves me unsure.
