I love this series, it is a great balance of coziness and slice of life moments while also featuring somewhat harrowing action. Kianthe and Reyna continue to be fun characters to follow and I really love how all of the conflict in the book is external to their relationship.
The epilogue has a cliffhanger and I'm very eagerly awaiting the 4th and final book.

Rating: 4.5
Returning to this series and this world feels like a warm hug. This might be my favorite yet (but so hard to compete with the first!).
With Reyna and Kianthe’s wedding around the corner, Tawney is bustling with preparations. We get to see familiar faces from the previous books, as well as new characters from their past. It feels like a wedding episode of a sitcom, but add in baby dragons, a heavy dose of political scheming, and a coup.
Once again this series focuses on relationships that value healthy communication and understanding. So while the stakes aren’t always low, the found family, strong relationships, and acceptance of others make this series such a delightfully cozy read
Jessica Threet is fantastic as the audiobook narrator and makes all the characters come to life. Definitely recommend listening to this one.
Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for this ALC

I loved this just as much as the other books in the series. These characters are amazing and getting to see their growth throughout the series has been so fun! The found family is fantastic and visiting this world again is always like a warm hug. The narrator knocked the audiobook out of the park yet again. I look forward to the narrator's work with these characters almost as much as I look forward to the plot.

This series is everything! This book proves even further that Rebecca Thorne is the queen of queer cozy romances.

*Thank you to Tor and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review and to Macmillan Audio for the gifted ALC*
Reyna and Kianthe are gooooooin' to the chapel and they're gonnnna get married... But first we've got baby dragons to wrangle, hostile in-laws to woo, and a coup to plan!
What a ride. I've done every single book in this series on audio and it's so delightfully cozy each time. I want to curl up in an armchair in New Leaf and play Cocoa and Capitalism with the Arcandor. Rebecca Thorne crafted such a comfortable fantasy world in Tawney with a fun magic system, in a series that doesn't take itself too seriously. I'd recommend this series to anyone who dreams of fantasy worlds or chasing their creative dreams (like me and working at a bookshop).
The ending here is CRIMINAL. I have to wait a whole 6 months for the resolution?? (Though ultimately, am I even ready for this series to end??)

Tea You at the Altar is the perfect third installment for this series. Continuing the story of Kianthe and Raina with all of their misadventures reaching a perfect climax. Ties up loose ends, sets another new couple off on a new adventure, and tells a somehow cozy story of a coup with wonderful humor.

Another wonderful addition to the series! I enjoyed this one even more than the previous installment and oh boy am I excited for the final book!

Kianthe and Reyna return in the third installment of Tomes and Tea, and this is my favorite book of the series yet! Their lovely relationship is put to the test as their wedding approaches, and it seems like half the realm will be in attendance.
I adore Reyna and Kianthe and all their friends. The plotting on this one is incredible. And that ENDING?? Ughh, the fourth book can not come fast enough!
The narrator on this audiobook is wonderful with different voices for various characters. I loved the experience!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to listen and review, and so much thanks to Rebecca Thorne for continuing to write amazing stories!

Kianthe and Reyna are getting married and there’s so much to do! There are baby dragons to keep an eye on, in laws to handle, pirates to welcome, even a murder to solve. Oh, and did I mention a plan to overthrow the evil queen (because there’s always an evil queen).
Rebecca Thorne’s cozy romantasy is the perfect read. Well, until you get to the ending. That cliffhanger will have you googling “when does the next book come out.”

These books have been such a joy, the perfect cozy adventure read! The third installment was fantastic. The writing style is so good and so enjoyable. I love how cute Kianthe and Reyna are together and I feel like they’ve grown so much as a couple. They continue to be their witty, funny, and joyful selves. I love all the old characters popping up as well as all new ones. Of course, there had to be one more adventure before their big day! The towns people and mythical creatures just make this land sound so fun and I want to visit.
The audiobook was incredible! I absolutely love Jessica Threet’s ability to do all the different voices and tones. She does incredible work! It was so enjoyable to listen to. She has the perfect speed and pitch and I highly recommend the audiobook.
Thank you NetGalley, Macmillan Audio, and Rebecca Thorne for such a great ALC. I cannot wait for the next book!

Rebecca Thorne once again delivers a whimsical, heartfelt adventure in Tea You at the Altar, the third installment of the Tomes & Tea series. With humor and warmth reminiscent of The Princess Bride and Bookshops and Bonedust, Kianthe and Reyna’s journey to matrimony is equal parts charming and chaotic. Jessica Threet's lively narration perfectly captures both the humor and tenderness of the story, making it a joy to listen to.
Between unruly baby dragons, uninvited in-laws, and political intrigue threatening their big day, the stakes are high—but Thorne balances tension and humor effortlessly. This delightful blend of romance, fantasy, and mischief is a perfect match for fans of Travis Baldree and TJ Klune.
A strong continuation of the series, this audiobook is a lighthearted escape filled with love, magic, and laughter. Four stars!

Pretty high stakes for a cozy fantasy novel 😅 I loved the humor and the sweet couple we follow to their wedding. There are so many cute creatures and unique characters that keep the fantasy goodness tingling! It was a great book and I'll definitely have to go back and read the first two books and see the relationships from the beginning. I don't think I missed too many references. The audiobook sounded great too!

I need the next book in my hands IMMEDIATELY. If the title doesn't give it away....We get to go to a wedding!
what to expect in book three:
📖Wedding
📖Secret Plot to Overthrow the Queen
📖Reyna meets Kianthe's Parents
📖Baby Dragons
📖Pirates
📖Back to Where it All Began
📖PUNS (a whole lot of them)
This story was just as fun as book one and Jessica Threet does another fantastic narration!
Thank you Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC!

Please be advised, there will be spoilers.
As soon as I finished A Pirate’s Life for Tea I knew I had to have the next book.
In book one, we meet Reyna and Kianthe- the duty bound queen’s guard and the most powerful mage of their time. We follow them as they escape to make a new life together, open a tea and book shop, and get used to civilian life… only to be ripped away from it when dragons attack.
Book two has our girls on the high seas chasing clues on what might be going on with their home; only to find a much bigger issue that needs dealt with- seriously, what do you do when the pirates are the good guys in a war?
Now? We have baby dragons, espionage, and hidden royals- and that’s the easy part. What do you do when the inlaws come equipped with their choice of spouse for their daughter? What happens if the heir doesn’t want to rule? Can Tawney withstand bored, land-locked pirates arriving (presumably) for a wedding?
I loved this so much! The story was fast paced, action packed, and brimming with the charming, punny humor I have come to expect from this series. I was thrilled that not only were we back in Tawney, allowing me to get back to characters I missed from book one, but characters from book two had a place here as well. The community we see building in these books- character interactions that give us warm fuzzies (one of my favorite things about cozy myteries and romances), are one of the things I most love about this series. Another? We are dealing with large issues- espionage, war, long lost relatives as well as strained relations- with grace and witt. Kienthe was constantly having me in stitches- especially in her interactions with the baby dragons. This was a five star book for me.
As far as adult content, I still consider this a cozy mystery. There is sexual content, but , like the first book, it’s mainly limited to banter and innuendo. More than that, there’s language, drinking, and violence. All are lowkey and tastefully done (well, mostly). While I think it’s geared towards adults, Young Adults and New Adults would probably love it.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this audiobook from Netgalley working with Macmillan Audio in exchange for an honest review. My thoughts and opinions are my own and were not swayed by this. My Thanks!

This series has been so fun to read. It has been the perfect combination of all things fantasy and escapism. If you are a fan of cozy fantasies you must try this series. This series has it all - pirates, romance, dragons, griffons, magic, alchemy, royals, espionage, swordplay, near-death experiences, tea, BOOKS!

The third installment of the "Tomes and Tea" series follows Reina and Kianthe as they plan a coup to overturn queen Toulaine, who has been abusing the power of her monarchy. This 3rd installment did not dissapoint!
I love this series and the audiobook narrator is so compelling! I've listened to all 3 of the books in the series on audiobook and they are great! The audiobook narrator is able to convey the characters emotions really well and the stories are both cozy and adventurous simultaneously.
If you have read the first 2 books in the "Teas and Tomes" series, you must continue! And if you are looking to get into a cozy fantasy series, full of magic, dragons, griffins, betrayal, adventure, tea, and books this is the series for you. I hear there is going to be another installment coming out later this year as well and I'll be first in line to grab a copy.
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for providing and arc in exchange for an honest review.

I loved everything about this! It’s cute and full of whimsy but also really serious as it discusses the atrocities of Queen Tilaine. And did I mention there are baby dragons?
If you felt like the second book was lacking some of the whimsy and charm from the first, this third installment brings it back and then some. My only complaint is that I don’t have the fourth book in my hands.
As always, Jessica Threet did such a good job with the narration!
Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to an early copy!

Tomes & Tea #3 did not disappoint! It was so nice to revisit this healthy, established lesbian couple and their cozy bookshop/tea room in Tawney as they plan their upcoming wedding... with a twist.
Despite this series being a cozy fantasy, the stakes are slightly higher than others in the same genre, which I personally prefer. It's nice to read an exciting story, but also know all my favs are going to come out on the other side of their adventures unscathed. Book 3 went in a different direction than I was expecting - unlike other cozy fantasies, it certainly wasn't predictable!
I found the narrator very engaging and enjoyed reading this one with my ears, vs having read the first two with my eyes.
Thank you to NetGalley, Macmillan Audio, and Rebecca Thorne for the free audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review <3

A great third installment of the series! This book hit the ground running with its engaging plot. The story was fun and the dialogue full of puns. The characters we met in the first two books continued to be lovable, and the new characters were a delight.
I listened to the audiobook; the narration was lovely and dynamic.

Rebecca Thorne does it again. This cozy fantasy is a warm hug that so many need during these crazy times. The found family can't help but make you smile. The characters are a joy and the plot flows well.
I gave this book 5 stars on Goodreads, but find it difficult to give a review to books that are sequels without making them spoiler filled. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
