YES! I am obsessed with this world. The character development was amazing, and the cozy vibes pulled me in. This third journey into Kianthe and Reyna's world was definitely my favorite in the series so far. I can't wait to see where the story goes next!

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was so much fun and also super sweet at the same time. It was a wonderful balance of love (EEP THEY ARE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING) and political intrigue (overthrowing a queen?!). The banter was well done and I thought the pacing worked throughout.

The ending in the epilogue made me drop my mouth open and can confirm there is a fourth and final book and I am already looking forward to it.

Also I love Pillbug so much.

Kianthe and Reyna are back, this time planning both a wedding...and a coup?

This picks up right after the last volume (which I enjoyed more than the first, who doesn’t like a pirate adventure?), but reminds me more of the first volume as it returns primarily back to the small town tea/book shop plus evil queen storylines (with dragons and puns of course). The writing style and narration are the same as well: still flat and surface level with overly emotive audio (and the narrator's accents are still a bit inconsistent), but by this point I’m into the series and it’s fun enough to keep me reading. We see more of the townsfolk and allies in this one and learn more about our characters’ pasts. I'm not quite onboard with the resolution of the climax, but the cliffhanger at the end will keep me counting down until the next/final volume is published, as now I'm invested in the series resolution.

Overall, this is a fun new addition in the same style as others in the series, so if you enjoyed the those you will certainly want to continue the series!

I enjoyed this book. It is engaging and entertaining. I like the characters and their witty banter. This book is full of adventure and intrigue. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Another cute, cozy story about tea and books, now with baby dragons added! I love that we've come to some conclusions regarding the evil queen and Kianthe's relationship with her family. The audio narrator isn't my favourite, but she does an okay job. I don't think that accents are her strong suit, so the addition of even more accents made this audio a little bit of a strain to listen to.

Okay this was delightful! Probably my favorite installment in the series so far. Our fearless heroines are back and this time they're planning their wedding...aaand maybe a political coup as well. It's lighthearted and funny with the right amount of politics and plot development. We know the queen is the worst, so I don't feel bad she's getting overthrown. I didn't love book 2 but I'm glad I kept going with the series. The audio narration continues to have this issue where the voices for the two main characters feel mismatched to me, but otherwise it's okay. I received an audio review copy via NetGalley, all opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for this advanced copy! You can pick up Tea You at the Altar on March 4, 2025.

Once again, Rebecca Thorne absolutely nails the cozy but action-adventure vibes she started with Can't Spell Treason Without Tea and A Pirate's Life for Tea. While this one had (slightly) less pirates and tea and more politicking, I still loved Reyna and Kianthe's journey as they overthrew the queen and tied the knot. While some parts felt a tad slower, I also appreciated the softer character moments, such as Reyna talking with Kianthe's mom or Kianthe and her old friend Faustus settling the dust between them.

All in all, a fantastic entry into the series! That cliffhanger though... we will be having WORDS, Rebecca.

The third Tomes & Tea installment, Kianthe and Reyna are preparing for the biggest adventure and obstacle yet: planning and executing a wedding. With dragons, griffins, angry queens, pirates and more on the guest list, all in the balance, the two are left to handle those hurdles, along with the in-laws, mayhem in town, and a treasonous plot, it’s one of the most adventurous installments yet (with plenty of cozy still thrown in). The walk down the aisle will be a memorable one, for sure!
I thought this was a cute follow-up, with plenty of old favorites and new characters for the readers to fall in love with. I can’t wait to see what comes of the fourth and final book, but this set things up in a great way. The audiobook narration was also great at bringing each story and personality across.
Thank you to Bramble and Macmillan Audio for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I was so excited for this, and it did not disappoint! Tea You at the Alter continues Kianthe and Reyna's story as they attempt to take the next step in their relationship, getting married, while also attempting to overthrow a queen. This is somehow still such a cozy story even with all of the drama and mishaps that happen. I love seeing our main characters' relationship deepen, one pun at a time. My favorite type of late series book is one where the characters have external issues but their relationship is rock solid, and this delivers perfectly. While I found the second book slowed in the middle, this one keeps the action up and kept me engaged the entire time. I'm so excited for the final book, even though I'm not ready to say goodbye to this world and these characters.

The narrator is once again perfect for this story.

I just finish this one and I can't believe that there is only one book left to this serie. I will miss every characters... Kianthe and Reyna became my favorite ladies, but then you have the arrival of the sister of the actual Queen... (So sorry I listen to it sooo I don't want to scrap her name). She is a fire character that didn't have enough time, but the little surprise at the end... I was happy!

The more of these Rebecca Thorne writes, the more I love these books. It helps that every problem I had with the first book (underdeveloped world building and a weird tone), and the second book (not nearly enough of our Tawney people), are resolved here. Three books in, you can’t help but understand the world more, and all of the major characters in both books combine in a plot revolving around Kianthe and Reyna’s wedding.

Other things that make me love this book more:
1. The big reveals about Kianthe (she wooed Reyna with a pun; she once summoned a tornado to get rid of a bee; she’s a terrible liar (WHAAAT?)).
2. Even more queer rep with M/M romance and a major ace character.
3. This is a pretty perfect balance of cozy action. It’s just delightful fun.
4. The development of the larger plot that I will absolutely not talk about.
5. Game Night.

This is also the first time I’ve listed to the audiobooks and Jessica Threet does an amazing job. She captures Reyna and Kianthe perfectly.

I will continue to read these as long as Rebecca Thorne continues to write them.

“Tea You at the Altar” is the third installment in Rebecca Thorne’s Tomes and Tea series. In this novel, Reyna and Kianthe are planning their wedding, plus a coup to overthrow Queen Tilaine at the same time. They track down Tilaine’s half sister Tessa, and plan to install her as the queen’s replacement. However, Tessa may not be interested in taking on the role. On top of this, Kianthe’s family arrives in Tawney carrying all her childhood baggage and plenty of suspicion of Reyna.
This was a decently enjoyable addition to the series. I enjoy how Thorne’s protagonists are fundamentally good people but they still have their flaws and make mistakes. I enjoyed the addition of Tessa and James to the story in a way that I really did not enjoy the additional characters in book 2 (and I still didn’t like Serina and Bobbie in this one). I definitely felt the plot and pacing dragging at times. I’ll still plan to read the final book in the series and see how it all ends.

This audiobook was so freaking good! I feel like Thorne's books keep getting better and better. I enjoyed the development of the characters and the plot line was super interesting throughout. Cozy fantasy is one of my favorite genres and this author feels like one of the queens.

First, I have to say the Tomes and Tea series is one of my all time favorites. I couldn't wait to rejoin Reyna and Kianthe once again, and this did not disappoint. If you're a pun hater....well good luck, but I ate them up! This series is smart, playful, and still has a phenomenal larger arc!

Not to mention - the narration is perfect. This installment has an even wider cast than previous books and it's read PERFECTLY. Honestly, after reading I looked up other books narrated by Jessica Threet because I enjoyed her work so much.

Anything and everything Thorne writes is near perfect, and this was no exception. This was a wonderful installment in the series and the narrator was great!

This series just keeps getting better! The banter and jokes are hilarious! The action kept me from being able to set it down!

This was another fun installment of this series. It was much more political than the others. Less action. But if you’re already attached to the characters, and why wouldn’t you be, it’s worth the read! And if you haven’t started the series yet - what are you waiting for!

Tea You at the Altar by Rebecca Thorne is the third installment in the story of my favorite couple, Kianthe and Reyna—and this time, they’re getting married! With only a week leading up to their wedding, things are busy, and baby dragons are playing in Tawney. As always the puns continue, as Reyna brews a cup of mint tea, she is asked, “Is it mint tea or minty?”

Honestly, this was probably my favorite book in the series so far. I love watching all the characters evolve and how real Reyna and Kianthe feel. Their relationship doesn’t feel storybook fake; it’s genuine and relatable. They communicate openly, sometimes faltering, which only deepens their connection. They are building a community, and that community truly supports one another.

There were secrets and life changes throughout the book, and I loved every single one of them. The cliffhanger at the ending makes it hard to know I’ll have to wait to see what happens!! I also have to say how much I love listening to Jessica Threet narrate these books. Her voices for each character are amazing, and I cherish every minute I get to spend with them.

Another great installment of this book. Cozy fantasy, action, books, tea. AND a wedding! It's fun but again if you like slow burn or atmospheric fantasies, this is more your type of book.

This book was a lovely continuation in this cozy fantasy series. I loved being back in Tawney and surrounded by all the wonderful characters in the little village. They add so much charm and humor to the story. I found this book much more enjoyable then book 2. The story focuses on Kianthe and Reyna again which I found much better as I rea ly disliked the added perspectives in book 2.

I also think that having the plot be about preparing for a wedding allowed there to be drama and tension while still keeping the cozy fantasy and slice of life atmosphere. There is a large side plot happening throughout this book that was very unbelievable and made it hard to suspend my disbelief. But overall, I found this book very fun and good instalment in the series.

However, I listened to this as an audio book and I really disliked the narration. The narrator would add in laughs, sobs and exclamations that just came across as fake and cringy to me. If you are picky about audiobooks, I would recommend reading this book rather then listening to it as the narration style definitely impacted my enjoyment.
