This book is perfectly adorable! The illustrations are beautiful and the variety of animals and bugs featured in the story was great! This is not just another farm animal book that’s for sure!

This book has the most beautiful illustrations and the story is cute, loving, and pattern based which was a huge hit with my two year old. We enjoyed this book immensely and will be on the lookout for other books by Peter Horn.

I'm obsessed with this cute little story about a son and father tortoise as they venture out and talk about all the wonderful things fathers do.

I absolutely adored the illustrations in this story. The cover art is beautiful, and that quality continues throughout the book. I especially love the subtle artwork hints about which animal father will appear next. My toddler had a lot of fun guessing along with the little tortoise and was very proud when she got one correct. The typography in this story makes for a fun read-aloud, and I would definitely recommend this story to other mothers.

Charming story of a dad and his son. Daddy Tortoise offers riddles so his son, Sebastian, can figure out the various dads in their area. He guesses correctly each time until his dad gives him a hard one. It includes several parts but Sebastian is not stumped and guesses his own dad - the best daddy of all. Gentle text offers readers a chance to guess too. The illustrations capture the joy of life for each type of animal, and the love between this dad and son. A delightful book to share as a family.

The dad says something that a dad might teach his child and the son guesses who it would be. It highlights ways that dads are important. It would be a great bedtime story based on page count. The illustrations are very cute and explain the story well. It would make a great father's day gift.

This is a heartwarming book about animals who live in a similar habitat to the tortoise. It shares little details about each animal, which my children enjoyed guessing before we turned the next page. The illustrations are beautiful. This is one we would read again and again.

This is a very unique book in that is told from the perspective of a daddy and not a mommy.This book is wonderful in telling about all the wonderful ways a daddy plays a part in an animal’s life and also explores the relationship that the tortoise has with his son.Very heartwarming and enlightening.

The Best Daddy of All is a wonderful book. As an educator, I have students who come from all walks of life, and a common thread among many of them is the absence of a father or father figure in their lives. This book is an excellent example of fatherhood missing from so many of my students’ lives. Often times, we do not promote or highlight fatherhood in children’s books often focusing on mothers. I appreciate this book for all those reasons.

This whimsically illustrated story is equal part heart and informational. Join a turtle daddy and his son in learning about how all kinds of animal/insect parents help their children, with a special emphasis on the relationship between father and son turtle. A delight to read!

I loved that the story provided clues and prompts for a very informative experience. With pretty illustrations and a charming storyline, The Best Daddy of All is the perfect book for curious preschoolers eager to learn more about the creatures big and small. Five stars.

The book has some excellent illustrations that really capture the characters emotions and bring the story to life - it is a wonderful, heartwarming book.

The story was well written, it was easy to follow and really enjoyable. The layout of the book was great, the writing was nice and clear and didn't cloud the images.

It is 4 stars from me for this one - highly recommended!

Sebastian the tortoise is walking along with his father on a beautiful fall day. As they take in their surroundings, they begin to talk of different daddies -- which animals they are and how they always help their babies.

This is a super sweet, heartfelt book with beautiful illustrations!
