4 solid stars for "The Maid's Secret" which seems to be the end of Molly the Maid's journey (sigh). In this one the reader learns a LOT about Molly's Gran, Flora through her diary and fans will find a lot of backstory filled in. Plus Molly & Juan are in wedding planning mode and there is a heist of a Faberge egg after an antique show at the hotel. Still charm & quirky - I enjoyed it a lot. Many thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for my advance readers copy - a true pleasure to have read all these stories!!

Molly Gray is back. This time the hotel is setting up for a special showing of the TV show Hidden Treasures. Molly finds herself in the spotlight when an item she brings for appraisal turns out to be worth millions of dollars. This story alternates with diary entries from Gran, which explain how she became a maid when she was born into a wealthy family. It ties the whole series up with a bow, but I found the actual mystery itself a little lackluster.

This book exceeded expectations and was very exciting to read. I really hope the series continues because I cannot wait to see what Molly will be up to next. The characters were written thoughtfully and with intention which is what makes the story as enjoyable as it is. Learning about gran’s past was very interesting. I love this series and can’t wait for the next book.

This was not my favorite of the Maid series, but it was fun to see gran's backstory (even if some of it was eyebrow raising). Ms. Prose delivers another fun romp with familiar and beloved characters. It's a good read.

The Maid’s Secret by Nita Prose
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Okay, I LOVED this book! This is hands down my favorite in the series so far. It felt different from the first two books, but in the best way possible. The mix of mystery, family secrets, and Molly just being Molly made this such a standout read.
One of my favorite parts? Gran’s backstory. We get to see her life unfold through letters she wrote to Molly, and wow… about emotional! Those letters had me tearing up! The relationship shared between Molly and her Gran was so reminiscent of mine and my grandma’s. I was really close with my Nanny before she passed away a few years ago, and their bond brought back so many memories for me. It made this book even more special.
I also loved learning more about Mr. Preston and how much of an impact he had on Molly’s life (way more than she ever realized). And, of course, there’s Molly’s present-day storyline. Between wedding planning and the case of the missing Fabergé egg, she somehow finds herself at the center of yet another mystery. I loved how everything tied together, and the character growth for Molly in this one was so well done.

I seriously hope this isn’t the last we see of Molly the Maid! If you loved The Maid and The Mystery Guest, you NEED to pick this one up.

I do love Molly the Maid, but this one was not my favorite. It took me a long time to read it because the parts told by her Gran's diary made my second-hand embarrassment go wild. Let's just say she acted like a stupid, rich girl even though she was super smart. Molly is still Molly through an art hsist and 15 minutes of fame.

definitely my least fav molly the maid, but that's very much a me thing. there's a LOT about gran in this story, in fact around half, and it's essentially a historical romance, which i feel doesn't quite work interlocked with the main molly story, but still good. 3.5, rounded up. tysm for the arc.

Always a joy to read, the Molly the Maid books are delightful and laugh aloud funny. This one has the expected mystery along with several light twists and turns. A true pleasure is finally understanding Gran’s life story that is interwoven through the book.
Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballentine for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I was overjoyed to receive this one as an ARC. I absolutely love Molly. This book ties everything together from the previous books. I loved this one. I hope we get more of Molly in the future.

The previous books in the series were more tense than this one. I had been wanting a look at Flora’s life growing up and we finally got it in this book. A few rogue periods and commas in the ARC. No one dies in the end! Thank you Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own! #TheMaidsSecret #NetGalley

Another great book about Molly the Maid. I wouldn’t say it was the most suspenseful but I def loved reading about Flora and her past. I love the way the character of Molly has evolved. She’s so likable and I love that she has found a group of people who support her and the love of her life. . I’m glad I read this book. The last Molly story?

Yall I was so excited to receive this ARC; definitely my second most hyped one! This was cute and I love being back with the characters. I dont know if the alternating chapters of Gran’s diary were necessary, maybe sprinkled in would have sufficed, but the mystery was good nonetheless. I wish we got a little more suspense from the mystery though!

My thing used to be: I don’t read series….why? Because if you read so often it’s hard to remember who’s who and follow back stories through multiple books while waiting forever for Authors to publish a new book. With that said…. That’s not the case here, and there is always a case with Molly the Maid. Molly is probably one of my favorite characters ever written, but let’s look at how each storyline around her is always evolving and dips back throughout each book awaking an Easter egg of information all while helping you remember without a reread of previous books. I will forever love Mollys quirks and her love of a simple life.

The Maid’s Secret was one of my Favorite books by one of my Favorite Authors!!! Love Molly the Maid Series and in this book we get all the behind the scenes and backstories of Molly’s grandmother Flora. How Flora lived a very secret life of privilege, education, naivety, abandonment, courage, sacrifice, but the greatest was the LOVE she found!!! Molly learns by reading her Gran’s diary that some eggs can make you Extremely Rich, some eggs are stolen, some eggs are gifted, some eggs are bad, but most importantly there is some really good eggs!!! Molly learns that the truest form of wealth is being surrounded by LOVE!!!❤️
Thank You So Much to the Author, Publisher and NetGalley for the Arc of this book in exchange for a Honest Review!!

Prim and proper Molly Gray. Do I need to say more?
The third installment in the series Molly the Maid did not disappoint. I loved the dual POVs throughout the book and found it unique that one of those was from Molly’s gran’s diary.
I WAS NOT expecting those twists and turns, especially all of the family connections. Let’s say a prayer for Mrs. Mead and her untimely death.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

Always happy to have another additon to the Molly universe.
This one was pretty good. I don't think there was anything here that made me jump up and down but I did enjoy it overall. I think the first book in this series will just always be the best. Molly's charm and wit was just so strong in that one and we just don't get to see it as much in the following books. i think that is mostly because the cast of secondary characters keeps growing and ebcause of that, we don't get to see Molly as much, which I consider a bummer. She is what makes these books so special. I love her little saying and quirky personality traits and I want to see them more.
I would honestly argue that this book was more of a story of her grandmother than Molly. Yes, she was in it. But the majority of the pages were told from a journal of her grandmothers. I did love that and getting to see her Gran's backstory was really great and I did enjoy how it lended to the mystery.
I am glad Prose is starting to lean away from the "Mystery" titles, because while there is still a mystery element in this, it wasn't introduced until halfway through the book, so I wouldn't neccesarily call it one. In terms of the mystery too, it was really quite obvious who was the culprit. I feel as though I am super easy to pull one over on, and I saw this one from a mile away. But, these books are more about the charm and the characters so I'm not sure that it was too much of a loss to not be blown away by a twist.
Overall, I did enjoy this and will continue to read from this series. I just want to see more Molly and less of the rest of the cast.

First of all, HUGE shoutout to Nita Prose & Net Galley for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Dare I say this is the BEST book of the series!? I loved it so much! Molly had found herself in yet again a whimsical mystery that captivated me and not “how can this girl possibly have yet another crime happen in her life!?”. But what really made this book better than the rest, was that half of the book are diary entries from sweet Gran written to her love, Molly. Being able to hear the backstory of Gran was so beautiful and such a sweet treat. I recommend this book AND the entire series to EVERYONE

Molly is one of my favorite literary characters. In the third book of the series, Nita Prose continues to deliver a beautiful and brilliant soul, and the hotel backdrop offers the perfect scenery for diverse crimes and mysteries. From Molly's engagement to her shocking find in her grandmother's hidden treasures box, the book is filled with highs and lows, allowing readers the privilege of experiencing all the same emotions as Molly. Prose gives a dual timeline thru the grandmother's journal, and we discover what happened to her all those years ago (hinted at in prior books). I have two thoughts on her grandmother tho now... one, still loving her as a person but two, she was a bit of a difficult child and obnoxious teenager given her wealth and lot in society. But people change, and I can see how the evolution of her life as a maid brought that progress. My primary niggles here... no actual murder! It was all about theft, and while it was intriguing, it was a letdown on some levels. Still a huge fan of the book and series!

From the moment I first met Molly in the The Maid, I was invested in her life and happiness. She grows so much throughout this series, and I eagerly devoured every page!
Like the other books, this story blends equal parts family secrets, romance, and mystery. I think one of my favorite parts about Molly’s story is that it’s never been just her story, it’s also Gran’s story. We learn so much about her through Molly’s sayings, mannerisms, and recollections, and now we get her voice firsthand through her letters. I loved all the connections in this book tying the whole series together. This was such a great and happy conclusion for Molly!
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars, rounded up.
The third installment of Molly the Maid. This could be read as a standalone but it is much better when read as part of the series. I love Molly’s unrelenting personality and how much everyone has grown to love and appreciate it. In this one, Molly is set to make a ton of money by auctioning something left by Gran. In her own chapters and timelines, we learn about Gran’s upbringing and life through diary entries. I actually loved this timeline and wanted more of Gran’s story! While the diary entries of course helped Molly solve the mystery, I didn’t really feel like the alternating chapters flowed, it felt more like two different books. Coming to love these characters though, I did enjoy the book as a whole.
