Another lovely installment for readers who love Molly and her journey. The story follows Molly as she awaits her wedding, but things are thrown into turmoil when a show decides to film at the Regency Grand. As Molly brings things in for the show to appraise, she finds that one of Gran's possessions is worth millions. Until it's stolen. Molly must figured out who has taken Gran's keepsake and why - but the journey to find it might reveal more secrets than Molly ever knew. This is a fun and sweet read!

Molly the Maid has done it again! Nita Prose is my hero, but what is new? The fourth installment in the Molly the Maid series wraps up the story beautifully and shows new insights into previously established characters in the series' universe. The story was lush and showed varied timelines and perspectives, with a diverse cast of characters. It is lighthearted yet emotional. I so enjoyed this and really appreciate the opportunity to receive an advanced copy.

I love Molly the Maid stories! It is so refreshing to see a neurodivergent protagonist in a story, and I find myself routing for her from cover to cover. In this book, Molly finds that she is in possession of a multi-million dollar Faberge egg. Just as she is about to allow it to be auctioned off, the egg disappears. Molly is left to solve the mystery. Simultaneously, Molly begins reading her grandmother's journal detailing her life before becoming the caregiver and maid that Molly knew growing up. Gran's story begins to inform Molly's suspicion regarding the egg thief.
This story, while certainly far-fetched, is a pleasure to read. Molly learns about her Gran's life and background while solving a mystery in the present day. So enjoyable!

Took me a while to read this, because I hadn't read the Mistletoe Mystery (the mini book that published before this). And weirdly enough, I wasn't the only one, because the library had it out for a while. I think Molly is so quirky, I'm glad that she remained this way throughout this third book. She unknowingly just revolves around the oddities that happen at the Regency. I love the Gran's words are (still) always incorporated in her mind and that she gets little flashbacks of her whenever she runs into odd situations.

I think this was my favorite book of the series so far (Previously the first book was my favorite). Because Molly was become more personable and she has real actual friends and its so heartwarming to see her character flourish and gain some more normalcy in her life to make it full.

Thank you, Net Galley, Random House Publishing Group and Nita Prose for the opportunity to read and review this book!
Ah, Molly the Maid, I have enjoyed and love everything "Molly" perhaps I can relate to her in small ways. My grandmother raised me as well and I can be a bit naive at times. The plot thickens as we find out so much more about Gran from beyond as a diary gives us insights from a different perspective. Character development came full circle as all the questions I ever had about her other relationships were answered. Thoughtfully well written, interesting but bit more serious than the other books and I LOVED IT! Bittersweet to think this could be the final chapter in this cozy mystery series. 5 Stars all the way!!!

I have enjoyed all of the “Molly the Maid” stories , but this one was a miss for me. I was searching for more of the “Molly” quirks and comments. I did enjoy the more serious themes , but felt it dragged on .

A return to Molly Gray, Head Maid! Only now she is Molly Gray, Special Events Manager of the Regency Grand Hotel. If you read the Christmas novella last year, then you know that there is a big event on Molly's horizon- her wedding to Juan Manuel! Our mystery du jour is triggered when a hit reality show starring two art appraisers is going to be filmed at the hotel, and Molly brings a box of some of Grans knickknacks to be appraised. One of the items is much more than Molly bargained for.

This story is a switch up from our regular Maid Novel format and is told in alternating chapters. Half are from our tried-and-true Molly, and half come from Gran's Diary entries, giving us more of a peek behind the curtain into the mind of Gran, and seems like a sweet conclusion to this cozy series.

Thank you to Nita Prose, Viking, and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my unbiased opinion.

When an antique roadshow-esque show Hidden Treasures comes to the hotel where Molly works, she brings her Gran's greatest treasure to be appraised. What is told to her is shocking...it's worth millions! But when the show begins, the fabrege egg is stolen. As the police and Molly try to find the egg, a story from the past comes out, telling Molly more about Gran that she never knew, in addition to how she became the owner of the fabrege egg.

Another twist and mystery occurs at the Regency Grand with Molly the Maid! This book unveils more of her and her family’s past that leaves the reader understanding more of the connections between current and previous characters. The book leaves you with some nice closure as multiple characters get their happily ever after.

I love Molly the Maid and literally fist pumped right in front of my husband when I got the email that I was approved for the book, but this story fell a little flat for me. This tells the story of Molly's sweet grandmother, who you learn was a terrible spoiled snob as a child. Much of her story drives that point home, and it kind of soured me on the character. It also did not really explain how she became the kind of woman who used all the little phrases Molly uses (like, "all that glitters is not gold," etc.), so I felt like this was a lost opportunity.

But, as I mentioned, I love Molly and Juan and Mr Preston, and will for sure come back for more if Ms. Prose offers us another installment!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this book!

I love this series so much! This final story did not disappoint and I had tears in my eyes at certain end parts. I love how this story incorporates Molly learning so much about her beloved Gran through Gran’s diary entries, which were a beautiful way to tell her origin story with Mr. Preston.

The storyline and mystery were executed flawlessly, and it brought together past and present so well. Molly brings in a Faberge egg that she has to an antique TV show that is taping an episode at her hotel. Suddenly Molly is thrust into the spotlight and we know that is not something Molly loves! Especially when there is a thief in the mix.

I love the side characters and friends of Mollys. They help her out so much with the crazy situation she is in, and they really are like family to her.

The journal entries from Gran were my favorite part of the story. Gran has always been a huge presence for Molly since she’s passed, and the diary really shows Grans love for Molly.

And I adore Mr. Preston watching out for Molly. It’s such a heartwarming story and the whole series is amazing!

Didn't love this one. It was fairly boring and predictable. I don't think this series is really for me, but I'm invested at this point.

Once again, Molly the Maid captured my heart! Gran captured my heart, too. This books was also about Gran's background told in the form of a diary. I enjoyed this duel storytelling and kept wanting to go onto one more chapter.

In present day, Molly and her friends face the mystery of a missing Faberge egg. In the past, Gran explains how she went from riches to rags. In the future, I hope there will be more adventures with Molly!

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: The fourth book in the Molly the Maid series. Molly prepares for her big day, and finds out that her gran left her something with hidden value beyond her wildest dreams.

𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
🥚Dual timeline
🧹Books with letters
🥚Lighthearted who-dun-it
🧹HEA

𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: I could not be more thrilled with this book and how it closed out Mollys journey! I absolutely LOVED learning more about her Gran, and the history behind all everything we’ve read in the first three books. The little who-dun-it mystery element was cute albeit predictable, but the story wasn’t about the mystery itself- and that was more of a side element that tied into the main plot. I devoured this one. In fact, I still have a smile on my face while writing this review. 🥰

This was a warm and engaging read with a good balance of mystery and emotion. It was great to return to Molly’s world. She is such a unique and charming character and I enjoyed seeing how her life has changed. The story pulled me in right away with the art heist and all the secrets tied to her family’s past.

I liked how the mystery connected to her grandmother’s history. The diary and the items from the shoebox added a nice touch of nostalgia and heart. It gave the mystery more meaning and helped build a strong emotional thread throughout the book.

There were a lot of moving parts including the hotel, the filming of the TV show, and Molly’s upcoming wedding but it all came together in a way that felt satisfying. The ending wrapped things up well and left me with a smile.

If you liked The Maid or enjoy stories with lovable characters and a light mystery this is a great choice.

Thank you to Random House Publishing Group (Ballantine Books) and Nita Prose for the gifted ARC!

I was so happy to dive back into Molly’s world. I didn’t realize how much I missed her until I started reading—her way of seeing things, her honesty, her quirks... it’s all just so Molly and I love her for it. The mystery was great as always, but what really made this book for me was Molly’s voice and how she’s grown since The Maid. I found myself smiling at her observations and rooting for her all over again. It’s cozy, clever, and full of heart. If you enjoyed the first book, you’ll definitely want to pick this one up. I loved every second of it.

5 stars from me!

I really enjoyed The Maid’s Secret! It’s the perfect cozy mystery—heartwarming and always delivers a happy ending. This series continues to be a comforting, feel-good favorite. Thanks NetGalley and Ballentine books for the eARC!

I love this series and was excited to get an e-arc in exchange for an honest review. The Maid’s Secret is a fun, heartwarming mystery that mixes a missing treasure with long-lost family secrets in the best way. When Molly becomes an overnight sensation after a surprise antique discovery, things quickly go off the rails—especially when the artifact disappears in the middle of a TV taping. With only her Gran’s old diary to guide her, Molly ends up uncovering more than just clues to a heist—she stumbles into a story about her grandmother’s past that’s full of love, heartbreak, and secrets that still matter today. I loved how this book dug more into her grandmother's back story!

3.5 stars rounded up. The Molly the Maid books are fun to read in a comforting sort of way and this one was not an exception. I enjoyed the book for the most part, though I did skim through most of the chapters about Molly's grandmother - which was a shame since they took up roughly half the book. That said, I do always enjoy reading about these characters and this book was an easy, cozy read overall.

I read an ARC of this book from NetGalley. All comments are my own.
