This installment of the series delivers on more of the same we have all come to enjoy- Molly and her loving friends and family.
I enjoyed the setup here involving a Faberge egg, theft of said egg, and Gran’s diary entries. The diary/letters were the highlight here, and I loved getting her story.
Aside from those, the present day chapters were fine but didn’t feel overly interesting to me. The “mystery” was not so much of a mystery.
We do get to see Molly’s love story all the way through, which was sweet.
I received an eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for a gifted copy of this book.
I don't read too many mysteries nowadays but I love Nita Prose's series on Molly the maid. The whole series is filled with wonderful characters and lots of wit. The Maid's Secret is focused on Molly's beloved Gran, Flora - How she became a maid and her epic love story with Mr. Preston.
This entire series is delightful and perfect for anyone looking for a little bit of mystery and alot of warmth.

“Be careful what you wish for.
All that glitters isn’t gold.
Love is the only gift that lasts.”
Molly the maid is BACK! Gah I just love her character. Unfortunately, though, this book has much less of her and more about Gran. And while I love her too for all she was to Molly, the magic that is Molly the maid is a little lost in this one.
The storyline is a deep dive into Gran’s and, thus, Molly’s history. And it’s a good story. The faberge egg is back and I enjoyed the series kind of coming full circle in that respect. But truly it is Molly herself who draws me in to these stories. So although this is a good installment it is my least favorite of the series.
If you listened to any of the other audiobooks for Molly The Maid then listening to this narrator again feels a bit like reconnecting with an old friend. I love the way she narrates Molly and she just nails her quirks.
Thank you @PRHAudio for the complimentary audiobook and to Netgalley, Random House, and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts.

The Maid’s Secret by Nita Prose is an absolute delight—an irresistible blend of mystery, heart, and charm. Molly Gray once again shines with her endearing quirks and quiet determination as a priceless artifact, a daring art heist, and a long-hidden family secret upend her world on the eve of her wedding. With rich layers of intrigue and a touching look at love, legacy, and class, this novel is as heartwarming as it is suspenseful. Prose has delivered another gem—clever, compassionate, and thoroughly captivating.
Thank you Nita Prose, Random House Ballentine, and Netgalley for the advanced copy!

MOLLY IS BACK! What a lovely installment for this series. I love this series so much. This is a must read.

I just found my favorite installment from Prose’s Molly the Maid series!
I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. It picks up not long after the previous novella with readers following Molly’s journey towards her wedding.
The Maid’s Secret took a bit to get into the mystery vibes of the plot, but that never mattered for me because of the diary entries that Prose has included. Longtime readers of the series probably didn’t realize how much we needed this opportunity to bond with Molly’s Gran who sadly passed before we ever got to know her. The diary walks us through Gran’s life and in turn reveals so many fun connections to other characters readers have gotten to know and love. The diary of course also has a connection to present day events and it was well woven into the pacing of the story to come full circle at the end of the book.
I think fans of the series will really love this one! For those who haven’t started yet, I highly recommend starting from the start as the events do move forward from the first book and starting later would spoil going back to the earlier books.

🧼✨ BOOK REVIEW: The Maid’s Secret by Nita Prose ✨🧼
A daring art heist, a reality TV show, and a long lost diary collide at the Regency Grand, where Molly Gray is about to uncover the biggest secret of all—one that ties her beloved Gran’s past to her own future. Molly tries to navigate her new fame, fortune, and danger… all while staying true to her unique self.
Molly continues to be such a wonderfully written character—so unique, so pure, and so authentically her. What really surprised me in this one were Gran’s chapters; seeing her life unfold in such unexpected ways made her feel like a completely new character, and I was really into those revelations. The two timelines brought fresh themes and emotions that introduced new themes to the series, tying everything together in a way that felt intentional and satisfying.

Another adventure of our head maid at the Regency and her fiancee, Juan. Molly has some treasures from her grandmother in the curio cabinet and when an antique roadshow team come to the hotel, she brings her Easter egg which turns out to be a Faberge. Thrills and excitement. Perhaps not highbrow literature but how can you not love our maid and her pastry chef. Always a satisfying ending

The final chapter in Molly’s story! I truly am going to miss her. Though I loved the first 2 books, I had a harder time going through this one. Gran’s chapters felt longer than usual, and though I loved still having her in the story, this time it felt like a different character. I was hoping for more of the Molly mystery / problem solving element. I did enjoy Molly having her happy ending with Juan Manuel.
Thank you Random House, Ballantine and NetGalley for this arc!

Molly the maid is back & better than ever! I adored this book! Another book full of mystery as Molly is set to become rich after a Faberge egg of hers is worth a lot of money. I loved this game of cat & mouse in this book!

I adored the early Molly the Maid who is making her own way in the world. She is likely on the autism spectrum. She was raised by her now deceased grandmother, who understood her and guided her to success as a maid in the hotel where her grandmother worked. She is of extremely modest means. If the teenaged me were reading the direction this series has gone, I'd have loved it. This entry gives us a look into the past, through entries in Molly's grandmother's journals and through Molly's present day friends, including the grandfather she discovered in an earlier book. It is a lovely, well written, fantasy of riches to rags and possibly back again that many people will gobble up. Not so much for me as it is simply too fanciful and I could not escape into it. I preferred the ways that Molly succeeded on her own. It is so much a personal preference issue that I am simply going to admit it is very well written of it''s type and it's no longer my type. A 3.75 for me.

Returning once again to the Regency Grand, Molly and Juan greet their readers on the precipice of their own wedding. With a grand event being held at the hotel, they soon fall into a windfall of money when a family trinket is unveiled as a missing, valuable piece of art. And so the chaos ensues.
What I adore about this series is Molly - she is just one of the most wholesome and kind characters you ever read, and these books bring such a soothing feeling to me as I read them. The cast of characters grows again with Brown & Beagle and their tv show akin to Antiques Roadshow - and we finally get to hear Gran’s voice and story as we read her diary alongside Molly. Gran’s diary was one of the most surprising parts of this book - Nita Prose does an incredible job of telling a new story for a beloved character and giving the readers incredible insight into a character no longer with us.
I love this series so much - if you are looking for a cozy book, one that leaves your heart happy and maybe a few tears of joy in your eye, definitely grab this one today.

This fell flat for me. I got bored about half way through but managed to finish. The first one was the best and I think it should be the end of the series. The plot was very annoying and I was irritated by the “oh money is making my world bad”. I wouldn’t recommend

Molly the Maid is back in the third installment of Nita Prose’s Maid series. Molly Gray appears to have it all. A loving fiancé, the job she has always wanted- what more could she want? When a film crew comes to the hotel she works at and she unveils a few of her gran’s things they discover something that could earn her hundreds if not thousands.

Molly the Maid and Co. find themselves at the center of another thrilling mystery in this final installment of The Maid series by Nita Prose. When an Antiques Roadshow-esque program comes to the Regency Grand to film a new episode of their show, it turns out that Molly’s beloved Gran had been keeping more than just a priceless artifact a secret from our hero. When the artifact goes missing, it’s up to the Regency Grand team to crack the case.
The Maid’s Secret has all of our favorite returning characters, and is filled with moments both hilarious and heartwarming. Effective tension is built through the use of alternating POVs, and this has some of the biggest moments in the series. I laughed, I cried, I’d do it all over again. I’m excited to see what Nita Prose does next.
Rating: 4.5/5

I was blessed with an ARC of this book and am expressing my own, unbiased opinions.
This is an outstanding series, one I will read again. Molly the Maid is one of my all time favorite characters in contemporary, mystery novels. The writing for this series is refreshing and unique. If it’s possible, I think I enjoy each new book more than the last. We need more people like Molly the Maid in our world. There were tense moments, as Molly was in peril. Her interactions with friends, staff and her Mother are quite realistic. Most of the characters are endearing and quite memorable. As always, looking forward to the next in the series.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Random House | Ballantine Books for gifting me a digital ARC of the much-anticipated next book in the Molly the Maid Series by Nita Prose. All opinions expressed in this review are my own - 4 stars!
I am a huge fan of the Molly the Maid series and have been anxiously awaiting the next book in this series. While I didn't love it as much as the first ones, it's still a treat to escape into Molly's world again. This time we get the backstory of Flora, Molly's beloved Gran. There's a mystery into a valuable Faberge egg and its true origin and just what people will do to get it. Told in alternating timelines between Molly in the present and Gran's diary entries. I love Molly's values, passed down to her by Gran, and of her relationship with Juan. Fingers crossed that there are more books to come in this series!

I have loved this series and this new story was just as good as the others. Molly is such a fun character and the situations she gets into are always a fun read.

I absolutely love this series! This is book 3 and the series is still pulling me in and wanting more. I love Molly. She may be just a maid but she lives an adventurous life! I really liked the style of this book too. This one is told as two separate stories and we learn so much about past characters with their own adventures. It blends well and is fast paced. I really hope this series keeps going!
Thank you Nita Prose, NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for the ARC edition to read for review.

While it wouldn’t be a Molly the Maid story without a murder, this time, the death is not the main focus of the story (but there’s still plenty of mystery!) Molly’s life is about to change forever when a popular tv show Hidden Treasures comes to film at the Regency Grand. One of Molly’s items for appraisal turns out to be a rare and extremely valuable treasure, essentially turning her into a media sensation and millionaire in just minutes. But during the auction, the artifact goes missing and the search is on for the culprit…a search getting more dangerous by the day as Molly receives death threats. As this story unfolds, many chapters alternate with the diary entries of her Gran, telling the story of her childhood (which ties into the item).
Every book in The Maid series is just a delight, with Molly serving as a the perfect straight-to-the-point protagonist, along with the friends and family who are behind her every step of the way. While this didn’t necessarily have the higher, more intense stakes of the other books, it was a delight to read and try to figure out who was responsible for multiple twists. Also loved finally hearing Gran’s story. Can’t wait to hear more of Molly!
Thank you to Random House Ballantine for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
