Inspire: The Universal Path for Leading Yourself & Others is packed full of valuable insights. While it is doubtlessly a must-read for any leader in an organization, every example and story it contains is analogous to everyday human experience. The book encourages that we’re all leaders in different situations, whether it’s helping friends, family or others in our communities, and we all have the potential to be inspiring. I think kids and all people can see things that will help them with their leadership skills. The book suggests three core elements to being inspiring: Being a visionary, being an exemplar, and being a good mentor. Author Adam Galinsky then goes on to expand on ways that these elements can succeed and fail by providing some classic pop-science studies and analogies. This was enjoyable to read, and I think anyone interested in how to lead will enjoy this book. Thanks to NetGalley for the audio ARC to preview.

This is an insightful book with lots of the information geared toward anyone who is looking to manage or lead a team. The philosophy behind inspiration is explored, as well as the counterpart: infuriation. The author uses anecdotes and careful explanation to delve into how we ourselves become inspired as well as how we can inspire others. A good read for business leaders and anyone looking for the ins and outs of being a good leader.
