The “How to Catch” series is a favorite in our house. We love seeing what the kids come up with to try and trap what their prey. We also loved finding the ‘invisible bad guy’ in each scene. The story as a whole captivated our interest from start to finish. The artwork is absolutely perfect for this story - it’s eye catching and easily shows what’s happening scene by scene in the story. I’d definitely recommend picking this one up.

What a fun quirky tale that combines delightful and vibrant images of a fun-filled adventure park with rhythmic poetry. There is so much potential within the classroom from recreating our own version to discussing how those specific language choices help show where we are. There’s the fun of the chase that could be acted out or the students could explore the perspectives of other characters. It’s the type of adve that will need unpicking bit by bit but due to that the children are going to be engaged and intrigued by the main character and by where he is from and what he is trying to achieve. That contrast between the black and white character who becomes invisible compared to the bold child characters and setting is so compelling alongside the fast flowing words.
