This book brilliantly documents the efforts of Kameny who was a force to reckon with in the gay rights movement. The diligent research and narration make this book quite enjoyable.

This was an excellent documentation of the work of a man who was an imperative force in the LGBT rights movement. I would recommend this book to be assigned in an LGBT or Queer studies course as his role in LGBT history can not go unnoticed. Prolific in his writing, Kameny can serve as an inspiration for those on the verge of giving up their fight for social justice. Kameny was tireless and courageous and deserved a better fate. It is in memorializing his work that will make his efforts worth more than he will ever know.
