Three Little Lies had me hooked from the start. A great psychological thriller that touches on some intriguing family dynamics that kept me engaged even at times when the plot felt a bit slower. Recommend for thriller fans!

More like 3 BIG lies. 4.5 stars

OMGosh, what a captivating story! I couldn’t read it fast enough. Read the publishers blurb first as it tells you what the premise is. It is the story of Jo, a mother of 2 who has a secret of her own that isn’t revealed until the end.

In the first half she can be an aggravating helicopter mom, like on steroids, who is butting heads with her 12-yr old daughter, and constantly controlling food in the household due to her sons allergy to nuts. She goes overboard when her daughter gets her ears pierced without permission… taking it so hard she has a crying fest in a dark closet, yes, seriously!. As I said, she can be annoying too, but relatable to some degree as she is over protective of her kids whom she loves deeply. This attitude doesn’t help her marriage however.

If you think the first part is slow, hang in, be patient, as the second half will blow you away. It has more twists than a big bag of pretzels. It actually surprised me at times, but in a good way as I was riveted to each page. You will be able to like and relate to Jo much better as a fierce momma bear in the second half as it takes you on this roller coaster type ride on the way to its satisfying conclusion.

Never having read this author before I didn’t know what to expect but I’m happy to meet her and look forward to reading more of her work. I would have given this a full 5-stars if a couple of things had been explained but it would be a spoiler for me to mention. Nevertheless I thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining novel.

The book started off really slow, it took me a while to get into it. But when it got to the actual plot, I was quite entertained and into the book. The main thrilling part was quite interesting but one thing I didnt like was how it ended on a somewhat happy sappy moment and was quite rushed. I expected a bit more. It wouldve been way better if we had not identified Ivy in Eden's very first POV. It shouldve been like a grand reveal of some sorts in later chapters.

Nonetheless, a good read

Three little lies by Danielle Stewart is riveting from beginning to end. Josephine and her husband Everett are out for dinner when they get a call from their daughter Meghan. Meghan who is 12 has been left alone with her younger brother Ashton who is 7. The exchange student who has been living with them, the one that was supposed to be watching them, went out for a walk hours ago and has not come back. Suddenly their family is under the spotlight, and both Josephine and Everett are suspects. But where is Eden? Who took her? And will they get her back alive?

This book is a must read for anyone who loves heart pounding suspense. The whole book was great, but the last 100 pages somehow took it up a notch even further!

Huge thank you to Danielle Stewart and the team at Bookouture for partnering with NetGalley. I received a copy of this book so I could give my honest opinion and review.

4 Stars!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. I have never read anything by Danielle Stewart before and I was pleasantly surprised with how good this psychological thriller was.
The initial 30 percent of this book is a little slow, but it is hard to be mad about it when it was used to set the plot and character developments so nicely.
The unveiling of the lies and the twists were really great. I would highly recommend.

✨ My Thoughts ✨

This book was definitely a page turner. It started off strong, the pacing was fast and it was easy to read. I thought I guessed the plot twist but I totally off! And I love books that throw me a curve ball. 😆

✨ I loved the character development ✨

I related to the MC in so many ways. She’s a mom who has a two children- one that “hates her” and one with a serious allergy. This causes the MC a lot of stress and anxiety which affects some of her strict parenting choices.

I have an older child but I do remember having a lot of anxiety as a mom. The author did a great job describing a parent who can spiral out of control if they go too deep into the rabbit hole. You know what they say, not every symptom means you have a terrible illness.

On top of all this she was coerced into accepting a transfer student from London who has also has a serious allergy. But ofcourse not all is what it seems-

The transfer student has some secrets of her own and ends up missing. This creates more suspicion and stress in the home and her relationship with her husband. All of these situations and experiences lead to the MC’s opening her eyes to what might be happening in her own home and whether or not she can figure out all the lies or end up spiralling out of control.

✨ Final Thoughts ✨

Three Little Lies is a gripping domestic thriller packed with tension, anxiety, and a main character who feels real and deeply relatable. The plot is full of unexpected twists, and I couldn’t put it down! If you love fast-paced thrillers with emotional depth, this one might be worth adding to your TBR.

Thank you, NetGalley and Bookouture, for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review! 🧡

Three Little Lies by Danielle Stewart is a suspense-filled psychological thriller that grips you from the very first page and doesn’t let go until the final twist. The story follows Jo, whose seemingly perfect life unravels when her husband’s secrets come to light, leading to a series of shocking revelations.

One of the most compelling aspects of this book is the dynamic between Jo, her husband, and their children. Stewart masterfully builds tension with well-developed characters and a plot full of unexpected twists. I particularly enjoyed the addition of Eden, the exchange student, who adds another layer of intrigue to the story.

However, I found that a lot of the middle felt slow and often repetitive, which affected the overall pacing. Despite this, the twists were well-executed, and the ending was satisfying and tied up the story nicely.

Overall, Three Little Lies is an engaging read with some great twists, but it could have benefited from a tighter middle section. I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for providing an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

This one checked all the boxes on my favorite reads list - suspense, drama, twists, infidelity, murder.....even gave me a few unexpected surprises. It was a good fun read, although it mimicked some I've read in the past. I would recommend and really enjoyed. Solid 4 stars.

3.5⭐️. I really enjoyed this book. A little slow at the start then soon turned into a page turner. I love a book with short chapters as I find it quicker to read. Really wanted to find out Jo's secret which is finally revealed at the end of the book. I did find Jo's character quite annoying as she waa so overbearing. This is my first book by this author and will continue to read more of their books.

3 ⭐️ Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC of Three Little Lies by Danielle Stewart. A gripping thriller based on a family full of secrets and lies.

This story had a promising start and had me hooked the whole way through. I did find some of the twists a bit disappointing, and not as dark or twisted as I was expecting, but I think that has more to do with my taste as a reader than the author itself.

It was a well written despite the complexities of the relationships and storyline throughout, with a satisfying ending. I would definitely read more from this author in the future.

This book was good. At first, I found it a little slow and I'd read a chapter and put it down. However, it didn't take me long to want to pick it right back up. Then it got to the middle and I could not put it down.
The thing I liked the most about this book is the way the author built up the story. It seemed for a little bit like it was going to just be about a mother with a very special way of taking care of her children. Think helicopter mom on steroids. She can come off as a little annoying at times but you learn to accept her as the story goes on. I love the twists that happen in this one and even if some things are sort of easy to guess to some degree, they still play out extremely well.
Aside from the slow start, the book was entertaining and kept my interest. It's a great thriller and one I'm glad I read. I'll definitely look for more from this author.

I was hooked from the beginning. Who is lying and who is telling the truth? I couldn’t put this book down! However at about the 75% mark, where the big twist was happening, the book fell short and I had a hard time finishing the last 25%. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

It is captivating story and it definitely held on to my attention all through the end. The twisted family relationships and complicated mother daughter relationship that is addressed and also I loved the way it shows that how much a parent can sacrifice for their child. I don't want to spoil anything as anything I mention about this book is going to be a spoiler so I'll say this - it's a fantastic book definitely a must try and if love a grappling thrilling mysterious story then this is the one to go for.
but i wish parts of it were excecuted properly. At some points due to the writing style maybe I felt a little lost and had to go back a few chapters to recap.

Secrets, family, and the weight of past choices - Three Little Lies by Danielle Stewart is a compelling domestic drama with suspenseful twists that kept me hooked!

Jo and Everett have built a seemingly perfect life with their two kids, but when they welcome exchange student Eden into their home, cracks begin to show. As tensions rise and hidden truths start to unravel, Jo realizes that the lies they’ve told - both to themselves and each other - may have far-reaching consequences. But is it too late to fix what’s been broken?

Stewart does a fantastic job weaving together complex relationships and emotional depth while maintaining an air of mystery. The family dynamics felt authentic, and I was drawn into the story’s exploration of trust, guilt, and the impact of our choices. Some moments were a bit predictable, but the strong character development and steady pacing made up for it.

If you enjoy emotionally charged family dramas with suspenseful elements, Three Little Lies is definitely worth the read!

I want to thank netgalley and Danielle Stewart for the chance to read an ARC for this book.

Giving this book 4.75 stars. This book was so good! Right away you were drawn in and I felt like it moved so fast (in a good way). There wasn’t this long build up to the main issue. When it happened I said oh already?? But I couldn’t believe how much more there was to uncover.
As a mother myself, from the beginning I was drawn to Jo’s character. Her relationship with her daughter and advocating for her son. I had so much empathy for her. Later in the book when a twist happened I was torn because you became familiar with Jo as we know her, but then you ask if you have possibly been deceived this whole time and second guess it all.

I was able to guess multiple plot twists in the story, however it didn’t take away any enjoyment or shock. Even though I guessed it I was still floored and still needed to keep reading. At one point I was questioning if there were too many twists, but at the end of the day it was just fine.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. I was hooked from the very beginning and because it was so captivating I read it really fast. I did lower the rating due to some spelling and grammar errors that hopefully can be caught before publishing.

Definitely recommend this book!

What an awesome read!

This gripping story about a family hosting an exchange student is one to read.

Every turn leads you in a new direction grasping to find out what it is. You will think you know and suddenly the author throws another unexpected test your way.

The ending was shocking and truly worth it.
Highly recommend.

3.5⭐️ I enjoyed this. It was a quick, jam-packed read that kept me wondering what was happening.

Jo’s family takes in an exchange student from England for six weeks, and two weeks before she goes home she disappears. On the hunt for answers, Jo will stop at nothing to protect her family and find Eden. When her daughter also suddenly vanishes, Jo is desperate to find her.

This was a story about lies and secrets and how they challenge the narrative of the perfect family.

The twist was unexpected and interesting and I liked the way the story ended.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookoutore for this advanced e-copy in exchange for my honest review.

Jo is essentially a married single mother in that her husband travels for work all the time. Her daughter is on the cusp of her teenage years and is starting to pull away and her son has severe food allergies that she is on top of all of the time. She is talked into hosting a foreign exchange student and hopes she will be a good example to her daughter and possibly help Jo to get her to realize she isn’t the bad guy.

Right off the bat the reasoning is BS. How can you expect another child, a stranger no less, to help you parent your daughter? Jo is a paranoid helicopter mom and it makes her extremely unlikable from page 1. I couldn’t stand her and felt no sympathy towards her.

The exchange student seems off and instead seems to be increasing the rift between Jo and her daughter. She even took her to get her ears pierced. Jo, of course, cried because of that. She literally sobbed in her closet about it. The husband was the typical never present Dad but overcompensates with the kids when he finally is around.

Throughout the book the dialogue made it seem like the FMC was trying to force suspense where there was none. It was awkward. There were some good twists but they were honestly overshadowed by the completely unlikable FMC.

Huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this ARC. Unfortunately, this wasn’t for me but it may be for you!

I gave this book 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4!

The book was entertaining and I was desperate to know all of the lies. Josephine lives in constant fear of something happening to her children. She struggles with her preteen daughter, Megan, and her son has severe food allergies. Her husband Everett is gone a lot for work so Jo runs the show. After she is coerced into accepting an exchange student, Jo has hopes that Eden will help fix some of the issues with her family.

But Eden comes with issues of her own!! She shows up, and nothing is the same ever again.

I was certain I knew what was going on but I was blindsided by a couple of the twists and turns.

Jo’s extreme vigilance over her children was a little much. She certainly had a lot of demons to face and was a little annoying. However, I did feel like her character had redemption at the end.

I enjoy domestic thrillers and this was a good, fast read! Thank you Net Galley and publisher for the advanced eARC copy of this book!

Wow what a book! I was hooked from the first page!

We follow Jo, a stay at home mother of 2, who has a son with severe allergies and a tween daughter who is becoming more and more independent, which is a struggle for Jo. At the children’s’ school, one of the other students’ mother comes to Jo asking her to host an exchange student, also with allergies, stating how perfect it would be for Jo to help her since she knows what it’s like to have a child in the house with allergies. Jo discusses with her husband, who is often away for work, and decides to accept the exchange student. As soon as Eden arrives, things go from bad to worse, especially with her daughter, but is Eden the cause for all of these changes?

When I say I could not put this book down, I mean it! The writing had me needing to continue just so I could see what happened next! I did guess the big twist, but that did not take away from how much I loved this book. I will absolutely be recommending this book to everyone I know!
