3.5 ⭐️

I want to start off by thanks the author and NetGalley for the ARC!

What a sequel and ending to this duology. As per usual I have my thoughts:

The good: I am happy there was a HEA and that we got a conclusion on the love triangle situation as well. I’m glad that Lore was able to still go on her various adventures while also discovering more about her powers and herself. I also thought the addition of the new characters of the underwater world with the sirens was interesting.

The “not my favorite”: listen I understand that Asher messed up at the end of the first book, but I do think Lore was unnecessarily mean to him lol. Like once he explained why he was doing the things he did and with him literally just trying to save her life the entire time and make sure she was okay, it just seemed a bit much in my opinion. With that being said I feel like he did not get a happy ending really and it made me sad for him 🥲 I also do this the pacing was a little off in this one and it made the ending feel a little anticlimactic 😭 I do feel like a couple of plot side quests were not needed in this one. I did feel like Finn was a little different in this book too. He definitely felt more like a side character to me almost in this one than a main character.

Overall it was a fun little duology read and I am glad lore got her happy ending.

This was the second book in the Lore of the Wilds duology. The last book left the readers on a great cliffhanger and picks right back up to where we left off. The overarching plot of this duology is that Lore is a human in a world where humans are oppressed by the Fae elites. She uncovers magic that she should not have access to and hopes to use it to save humankind.

If you read my original review last year, I feel like many of the impressions I had back then also continued to this book. I love the diverse cast of characters that allows for representation in fantasy. There were many adventure-forward elements in this book that I also loved! Some of the things I found challenging were either due to my personal taste (not enjoying the "good girl" trope) or feeling like there was too much exposition that slowed the pace way down at times. Overall, I think it's a good duology to read for romantasy fans who like a little adventure on the side.

I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

I enjoyed continuing to follow Lore as she attempts to right a wrong done to her people; however, it lacked the same caliber of excitement we saw in the first book. The world-building continued to be top-notch, and our adventure at sea was magical. The high-stakes drama, attempting to find Auroradel, the sister book of Deeping Lune, is page-turning entertainment. I was surprised that the fox/moth introduced in the first book sort of fizzled in the second book; this made me a bit sad. I thought that character would have had a larger impact on the story, like Jimmy the Cricket in Pinocchio. I am a sucker for a good familiar in a story. The love triangle, for me, was heartbreaking; it felt like Lore couldn't get a break. However, seeing Lore reconcile the deceit and rise above it to achieve her goal was great. She needed a win, and Finn was right there by her side to ensure that she got it!

All was made right with FINN!!

I am still in love with Finn; he is perfect. The way he attended to Lore was absolute magic. In the grooming sessions in book two, you could feel his adoration for her. You could feel it in book one as well, but it was timid, not this time! Watching their relationship blossom on the page and the two of them really coming into their own was so satisfying.

This book was atmospheric, well paced, had great banter, and had just the right amount of romance and action. For this to be the second book from Analeigh Sbrana, she did a great job!

I look forward to reading more from this author and purchasing this book on July 8th to add to my library.

Thank you so much to Netgalley, Avon, | Harper Voyager, and Analeigh Sbrana for the advance readers copy of this beautiful book.

I don’t know what I thought was going to happen in this book but I was kept on my toes the whole time. I absolutely love Syrelle in this one. You could see his heart shine through and made me want to hug him the whole time. I definitely teared up at the end. Lore was the independent queen we all strive to be while trying to deal with all the stuff that was going on. And Finn? The man that you are👏🏻 he was supportive and protective and everything Lore needed. I think this book wrapped up the series super nicely and overall enjoyed this one! I am super thankful for NetGalley the honor of reading this Arc!

This book was pretty great! The whole story is about Lore’s adventure to save her people and boy, is it adventurous. The beginning started off slow for me, but once I got into it I really was sucked in and couldn’t put it down. It’s clear the author worked hard on the world building and really made the characters enjoyable and multi-faceted. The ending was bittersweet and not what I necessarily wanted or expected after the love triangle, but makes sense. I definitely would recommend this duology to fans of fantasy and adventure. Thank you to Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lore of the Tides is a strong, sea-swept conclusion to Analeigh Sbrana’s fantasy duology. I’m usually hesitant with ship-centered settings, but this story was so immersive that I didn’t even notice the rocking waves—until I had to. Sbrana’s writing is medium-paced but effective, letting the characters shine while the plot sails forward with tension and heart.
Lore herself? She truly leveled up in this book. Spicier, bolder, and more emotionally layered—I found myself cheering for her through every twist. The stakes felt higher this time around, and the romance, danger, and magic all collided in ways that felt earned.
If you’re a fan of adventurous fantasy with political intrigue, character growth, and romantic tension, Lore of the Tides is worth the journey.

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year after the first installment left me gobsmacked and I can’t say this let me down. I do wish this had been a trilogy, because so much was packed into this second installment and I truly would have liked to spend more time in the siren queendom assisting with their issues. I also would have liked some characters to come back into the picture by the end so we could see where they were, but it is only a duology and there is only so much time and space to wrap everything up. I think the author did a good job with the space given to include all the elements of adventure, magic, spice, devastation, and hope that all good fantasy novels need.

What an incredible sequel! After being betrayed, Lore and Finn find themselves held captive under mysterious circumstances leading to a delectable level of tension between the main characters. The magic system continues to expand into intricate and expressive forms. The story is adventurous, entertaining and romantic with the most beautiful and vivid world building. Like designing a dress that naturally flows with the currents of a magical underwater world or bodices imitating sunlight reflecting off the ocean to name some fashion related ones. Truly a joyous read, thank you NetGalley for this ARC!

Analeigh snags my heart AGAIN with the new Lore novel! I’ve been wanting to find out what happens so badly, and I ate up this entire sequel!

Let's talk about "Lore of the Tides" by Analeigh Sbrana.

Unfortunately, this book was not for me. I tried. I truly tried my best, but I completely kept putting it down, picking it back up and trying to read it again. Each time, I felt like I was drowning. I had read the first book which was okay, so I had hoped for a redemption with the second.

Now I now I'm a mood reader, so maybe this wasn't the best time for me to read this book, yet - after contemplating the overall - I realized a few things I liked and did not like. The premise of the story was a good one and I enjoyed the overall storyline and to where it was going. The little details of everyday life - I enjoyed these moments. They did make me smile. But the characters fell kind of flat to me. They weren't rounded out and they needed a bit more depth. The magic system was still a bit confusing to me, and sometimes I didn't know if Lore needed the book or didn't need the book to use her magic.

Anyway, let it be known that some may or may not enjoy this read - and that's quite okay! For me it was a no.

Thank you to NetGalley, Avon and Harper Voyager for the chance to read for my open and honest feedback.

This book was such a good closure to the duology. I also feel like I just love a good ocean journey, so this one might be my favorite of the two. - This book continues Lore’s journey and I was excited to see what happened next in the story. I enjoyed seeing the different character dynamics develop after the betrayal in the last book. There are a few areas I wish had more depth, but overall it was good and I thought it was a nuanced closure to the duology as Lore travels to several places in order to get the book and free the humans.
Also, Analeigh throws in a Good Girl in there - swoon - lol. Love a good Good Girl moment.
Thank you NetGalley, the lovely author, Harper Voyager imprint, and Harper Audio for both the advance electronic copy and the advance audiobook. All opinions are my own.

What a beautifully satisfying conclusion to a passionate and inspiring duology.

This was a long time coming for me to finish this one. I might have bit off more than I can chew in terms of ARC requests, and I definitely cut it close with this one.

Picking up from where we were last left off from LORE OF THE WILDS, Lore wakes from a magic-induced slumber. The last thing she remembers is being in a secret garden with her friends.

However, she now finds herself a prisoner on an enemy ship sailing across the sea, and her captor is someone who betrayed not only her trust but her love as well.

Without another option, Lore agrees to help Syrelle find the Book of Sunbeams, the companion to Lore's Grimoire, Deeping Lune, which gave her magical powers.

But what Syrelle doesn't know is that she intends to find the second grimoire to claim for herself so she can save her people and herself from the oppression by the fae once and for all.

I thought this was a perfect ending to this short series. I really enjoyed the world-building and the magic system. The writing style and vivid imagery definitely brought this story to life.

My favorite aspect of this book was the mystery behind the magical texts and their creator. I was so invested in solving that puzzle that I couldn't put the book down.

One thing I enjoyed in this book more than the first was the character relationships. I definitely thought the dynamics and interactions between characters were much stronger and more believable. However, this still read more like YA outside the explicit romance scenes.

On the other hand, there were a few things that I didn't enjoy while reading. For instance, even though I did enjoy the writing style and imagery, there were times I felt like the narrative was bogged down by the flowery language.

Because of this, the narrative moved slowly and dragged at points for me. Personally, I felt like the whole second part of the book detracted from the main story itself. It felt more like an optional side quest in a D&D campaign.

Also, I don't think spicy romance/smut is for me. Compared to the first book, the spice was dialed all the way up, so if you're the type of reader who loves the steam, then you'll definitely be satisfied. But, unfortunately, for me, this also distracted from the main narrative that I was most interested in.

Overall, this was a great duology series. I listened to the first as an audiobook, and I loved it. So I definitely encourage listening to both. This book is perfect for my romantasy girlies who like it hot and heavy. 3.5⭐️ rounded up to 4.

Thank you to Analeigh Sbrana, Avon & Harper Voyager, and NetGalley for sending me an e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Oh man did book one leave us on a cliffhanger. The follow up with Lores of the Tides definitely helped the cliffhanger rage subside. We pick up with Lore waking up from a huge betrayal and trying to figure out how to move forward from there.

I will say there were absolutely beautiful moments and other bits where I skipped over. A little repetitive at times. However, the scenery and political plot line made this a quick and enjoyable read.

For those just needing the conclusion from the first book this will fill that need.

I wanted to love this story. I was unable to finish. Hoping to go back and try again. I finished Lore of the Wilds but it was very rushed, definitely not a romantasy more young adult. It was like Lore couldn’t make a decision on who she wanted. Just overall not a fan of of this series.

Lore's journey continues. She wakes up on a ship after being kidnaped. She's supposed to find the second grimoire, but she stalling the best she can. Her quest will take her to the depths of the ocean and into legends.

Read if you like:
-Romantasy
-Quest
-Enchanted Grimoires
-Fight to Save her People

This duology is amazing. I don't know why I don't see it more on bookstagram/booktok. Lore is exactly the type of FMC I love. And I really enjoyed how the love triangle played out and resolved. The scene where he helped her with her hair was so tender and intimate. *swoon* The ending was so satisfying without being overdone. Definitely recommend this duology!

This is the sequel to Lore of the Wildes and it is out in a few days! While I liked it just as much as the first book, it had a bit of a different feel (not in a bad way!). This book had a ton of fun banter between all the characters, a cool underwater setting for part of it, and more spice than book 1. I dont normally think this for duologies, but I think this could have been a trilogy. So much happened that I kind of wish it had gone more in depth for some of the storyline. Regardless, the ending was very satisfying.

The perfect second book to this series. I love these characters so deeply and I fell in love with them even more in this sequel. The twists and turns got me every time and the pacing of this book was chefs kiss. I loved how these characters grew and developed and the world getting so luscious as the story goes on. Absolutely recommend for anyone who loves cozy worlds and juicy stories.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I was so sad finishing this book because I didn't want the story to end. To remember that this book was the end of the duology was even more saddening. Analeigh did such a great job with world-building, character development, and getting the characters to pull at your heart strings. Lore of the Wilds and Lore of the Tide NEEDS to be made into movies! These books are undoubtedly some of the best fantasy reads of our era! Analeigh did so well with her debut series that I will be shocked but also thrilled to see if her future works will be able to top it. I hope they do so I can be first in line to say "SHE HAS DONE IT AGAIN!". The story of Lore and her adventures are a great mix of light and dark that everyone needs. This book also kept me on the edge of my seat with her love interests with just the right amount spice for this type of story. I was on my knees hoping for the story to turn into a Why Choose and for Lore to finally choose Finn and Syrelle. How the story ended also satiated my heart.

I want so bad to be greedy and hope Analeigh lies to us like Syrelle and gives this series another installment but I know it wouldn't do any good. Analeigh thank you so much for this story and characters especially ones who look like me! My inner child who loves fae is healed.

Harper Voyager thank you for my eARC in exchange for an honest review!

This book was an epic conclusion to the duology! I loved how all the different elements from the first book, plus all the new elements in this one, really tied together at the end. So much magic and love and found family. All the best parts of the romantasy genre! Officially submitting my petition for a companion book on Pytheah's journey to find treasure.

I can’t believe it took me this long to dive into this series, but once I realized Lore of the Tides was book two, I immediately grabbed Lore of the Wilds and devoured it first. And let me tell you, once I finished book one earlier today, I physically could not stop myself from diving straight into this one. That’s how addicted I was.
I read along with the audiobooks, and it made the entire experience even more magical. The narrator brought the world and characters to life in such a vivid way, I can’t recommend pairing the audio with the physical book enough.
Lore of the Tides is just as enchanting, magical, and utterly immersive as the first. It transported me to a world far from my own, lush with fae princes, ancient magic, and emotional stakes that left my heart racing. I didn’t just read this book, I lived it. And though I’m not sure if there will be a third, I’ll be first in line if there ever is.
If you’re craving a story with world-shifting magic, aching slow-burn romance, a fierce and unforgettable heroine, lost-and-found family ties, and enough fae intrigue to keep you hooked until 2 a.m., this series is your next obsession. It’s everything you’d want in a fairytale… but with an addictive, adult edge.
Seriously, if you haven’t started this series yet, you are missing out. Don’t walk, run.
