Thank you NetGalley for the eARC.
A great end to this duality. I read both books straight through and loved them. I do think book 2 is a lot more long-winded but it also added a lot of depth to the world that I wanted in book 1.
I loved Finn and was really rooting for him to end up with Lore. I still loved Asher/Syrelle and thought his ending was perfect. I wish we got more Isla.
Everything seemed to tie up well at the end. But I would love a novella for a small where are they now.

Analeigh Sbrana does it again! This installment follows Lore and others as they trek on boat, sea, and land to seek out a Grimoire to save Lore's community of humans. Sbrana has Incredible prose and range. The book made me cry, laugh out loud, swoon and drop my jaw. There's romance, cozy cooking, political intrigue, community care, beautiful clothing, quests, a riddle, dreadful horror, legit surprises, monsters and unique magic. Basically this book contains everything you could ever want in a fantasy book and then some.
The only thing I was unsure about, which I think is a personal preference, is I wasn't sure how to feel about some nicknames or verbiage in sex scenes. I did, however, appreciate the love story and relationship overall

Also contains an incredible HEA! I was wondering if it would become a love triangle or quad but I think the book honors the path of the characters. For me, it's realistic more than anything that Lore doesn't end up with someone who abducted her, tricked her and then some. If you're a dark romance person you may not be into that, but I appreciated the care and nuance with which she let Lore's story unfold in a way that embraces and honors her and her community's power. It feels like a just end to the series! (If it is an end. Iwould read a book 3).
I also really love the way elders and the community are consulted and that even though Lore is a heroine, the community's input and sovereignty is central.
Moments that truly surprised me: When the monster drove through the ceiling of the library... When we got some body horror in Lore's dreams... And then when all of a sudden Lore's in this cave and there is a ZOMBIE!?! ? Like !! Surprise surprise! Analeigh Sbrana could write horror if she wanted. She's just a great writer.
I also love the care with which Lore's community is written. It's a queer normative, disability considerate one. Some moments that felt carefully crafted:
"Syrelle's decisions coating the cordage like algae"
"His heart was an unknowable vessel, one without a flag or standard, no insight to articulate, with certainty, the veracity of where he stood."
"The elders trickled in, sitting in the few chairs positioned throughout the room, and everyone else whose hair hadn't yet begun to gray or whose body allowed it sat on cushions on the floor."
"We deserve to be safe. We deserve to take up space...It's all right to have hope... to allow yourself to dream again. we cannot allow ourselves to be enslaved by despair."
Some moments i also loved:
"A smirk played on Finndryl's lips as he produced a simple piece of twine from his pocket. 'Turn around.'" (And in another section he starts doing her hair!! Deceased)
"it was the whole of the black sky, the swirling stars, and distant moons, this love they shared."
"Let her be their monster"
Some quotes that made me laugh:
"Even your bones would have been pulverized,' Cuan explained to Lore, their voice cheerful"
"I can't help but feel like you are full of shit."
Overall, would recommend for anyone looking for a fantasy work with an incredible depth, range, political intrigue and romance. If you're a dark romance person this book may not be for you. Otherwise, it's a fabulous read!

I received this as a campaign from The Nerd Fam and posted about it on my socials, but amongst all the fun and excitement forgot to write a review on this platform. So get ready as I yap about this amazing book.
I was so excited to read this second book in The Lore of the Wilds Duology. With the cliffhanger from Lore of the Wilds, I was itching to get my hands on this final installment in the series.
Lore wakes up trapped on a ship in the middle of the ocean, betrayed by someone she trusted, and immediately, you’re pulled into the tension and stakes of her journey. The ocean setting is stunning—salty ports, stormy seas, and mysterious sea creatures make the world feel alive and dangerous. I loved watching Lore grow, fully embracing her magic and learning how to navigate the complex politics, betrayals, and relationships around her. The search for the sun book adds so much urgency, and the romance feels real without overshadowing the adventure. It’s magical, intense, and full of heart—I couldn’t put it down. Loved the tension and ate it up with each page I flipped through in this masterpiece.

First of all, thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book prior to release! I was so excited to continue this series when I finished the first book, but unfortunately Tides was a DNF. As a mood reader I am hoping that this just wasn’t working at the time & I will try again in the future, but the e-ARC title was a mix of confusing and boring..

I thought the first book in this duology had a lot of promise, and I thought the second was even better. And honestly, I love a duology. No middle entry (or two) that drags and instead it feels like a much tighter story. I loved Lore’s journey to grow in her powers and protect her people. The characters were well-developed instead of being one-dimensional, and I loved getting to explore more of the magical kingdoms of this world. Can’t wait to see what Analeigh Sbrana does next!

3.5 stars. I loved the siren plot. And the section to get the second grimoire. Both these parts were well fleshed out and detailed. The spicy scenes were yummy. The buildup and the tension was top notch. There was a couple pacing issues, or parts that seemed a little rushed- I would have loved more time in the mountains. With all the talk of dragons, I thought we were foreshadowing towards something. The whole addition of our orc friend seemed random.
My biggest issue is with the ending. It seemed a bit anticlimactic. Maybe it was meant to be like that. We also never find out what happens to Syrelle’s family. Though the final epilogue wrapped things up nicely. I would definitely read more from this author.

Absolutely loved this book!! I cannot stop thinking about it and I can’t wait to read what she writes next

Lore of the Tides by Analeigh Sbrana is where this duology really came into its own. The lush descriptions of the underwater world completely swept me away—it was vivid, enchanting, and unlike anything I’ve read before. Lore herself was an absolute standout; I adored her character and how her journey unfolded.
While the final battle felt a little rushed, the wrap-up more than made up for it, tying the story together in a satisfying way. Overall, this was an imaginative and beautifully written conclusion that left me thoroughly impressed with the series.

I was very fortunate to receive an eARC of this book and was very excited to return to this world after the amazing first book. Maybe it had been too long since I read the first book but the beginning of this book was very slow for me. It took me quite awhile to get through the first half of the book but the second half proved worth what felt like a slog in the beginning. Getting to experience Lore learning more about her power and magic in general was perfect. The way that the relationship between Lore and Finndryl blossomed was the perfect balance of “will they won’t they” with genuine growth as a couple. I loved that this story wrapped up in a way that felt very satisfying for a duology. I can’t wait to see where Sbrana goes next in her journey as an author.
Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with an eARC for my honest review.

More of a 3.5-3.75 for me.
Sorry if this review is all over the place 😅
While I thoroughly enjoyed this duology, and this book on its own, I’ve had a bit of a nagging for wanting more from it.
I enjoy the world that Analeigh Sbrana has created, but I feel like it could’ve gone a bit deeper into the lore (lol) of how the King moved the humans to this world. And on that note, I feel we needed to get the King much faster. I didn’t feel much of the looming presence of the villain. We’re led more to put that on Syrelle, but I never really felt he led Lore with malicious intentions. Yeah, he wanted the grimoires, but I never believed he would hurt her (beyond how he already has by lying to her).
This one felt more like a bunch of side quests that take us away from the real villain and the main storyline. It would have felt better if the underwater kingdom had more of a significant impact if it had been tied together some more.
That all said, it was a fun adventure and a really interesting world. I do look forward to reading more of what Analeigh Sbrana writes in the future.

I really enjoyed this conclusion!
Tides threw us right back into the story from where we left off at the end of Wild, and this sequel was filled with action while still somehow maintaining a cozy vibe at the same time. I think the world is painted so beautifully through Sbrana's writing. I really enjoyed the underwater setting and that part of the story the most. I found this world she created just complex enough without being too confusing.
The story itself felt fresh and different from other stories I've read recently. I think the action was balanced with the romance aspect, and overall it was just a delightful story to read. I wish the ending had been a little more drawn out because it did feel a tad rushed to me. But I think overall this book and series are such a fun read.
I did end up purchasing the audio to immersive read this one and I think that really brought the story to life.
This book/series is perfect for those who want a romantasy that has a magic system based in connections to the earth, and a plot that relies on a quest. Even with the action and some more graphic scenes (with blood, etc) this still remains a cozier read in my opinion.

I'm going to have to come back to this book because I didn't realize it was part 2 in the duology (I thought they were interconnected stand alones) 😅 so I will get back to a legit review once I finish book one and come back to this 😅😅

dnf @ around 50%
I really loved the first book in this duology but unfortunately just could not get into the second one. Even around halfway through the book, I really didn't feel like much had happened. One of my favorite parts of the first book was the twist at the end. While I love a complex character, I almost would have preferred for there not to be a reasonable explanation for his actions. The character who I assume is one of the primary love interests in the book was basically absent for the first half of the book.

Thank you NetGalley and Harper Voyager for the e-ARC. I absolutely loved the first book and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this second one. However, I struggled to get into it - I think the scene from the ship was so long and drawn out that I lost a bit of interest and got into a reading slump. Once off the ship the story did begin to pick up and I really enjoyed seeing Lore and Finns love blossom as they went through various challenges together looking for Auroradel and getting back to Duskmere.
Overall I still enjoyed it but not as much as the first book.

I really loved this book and thought it was a great follow-up and end to the duology. I especially enjoyed that we got to explore so much more of the world in this one with so much more rich worldbuilding. Between all the magical places and the twisting plot, I was hooked and got through this pretty fast. The only real weak spot for me was the relationships between some of the characters. I felt like something was missing, and some of the relationships were lacking some depth. Though, I will say this could be a least partially due to it having been a while since I read the first book, which means I don't remember a lot of the build up very well, and this being the first book I've read in a hot minute with a straight romance at the center (though I did appreciate the queernormative world). That being said, I still absolutely loved all of the characters and their arcs and thought they were all very fleshed out with interesting stories and unique and distinctive personalities that I fell in love with. I really enjoyed reading about all their adventures, struggles, and triumphs and was thoroughly happy with the way everything was wrapped up at the end.
Thanks to NetGalley for the e-ARC

“Lore of the Tides,” by Analeigh Sbrana
This book was such a good epic adventurous story. I love the romance and characters and the tension between all of them. I adored the number of creatures and lore involved with the story. I really really liked Finn’s character; he felt so dynamic and likeable to me. I would say that this series is perfect for people who love epic type books with lots of action and plot with a smaller focus on the romance aspect. 4 out of 5 stars.

Thank you for the ARC, Netgalley.

What an amazing ending to this epic series. I really enjoyed the growth of the FMC and the lore of the mermaids. This was an amazing read and while I was hoping we could’ve got a book 3 this perfectly ended the series

Thank you to the publisher, the author, and Netgalley for the eARC.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, but it definitely felt like something was missing, which I think was plot advancement. The second book was much better, with more advancement in the plot from the very first pages. It felt like we were actually getting somewhere with Lore’s wishes, versus just dallying around the castle.
There were some parts of the book that felt rushed, some of the language seemed to take away from the time period as well as the world building, but not enough to ruin the story. Also, some of the spice was a little cringy, but I’ll be honest I’m pretty sure that’s a me problem because it’s hard for me to find a book with spice that I don’t find cringy.
While the conclusion felt rushed, it felt on par with what was meant to happen in order for the duology to be complete.

What a gorgeous book! I want to eat the food Lore was eating, be in the stunning scenery, and FINN! OMG I love him!! This was a perfect conclusion to this duology with, dare I say, an opening for more potentially?! A spin off?
Also. Two words. Underwater Library. If that doesn't sell you I don't know what would. I LOVED the underwater adventure and trouble they got up to! Also, I got quite attached to a side character, the prince of the sea. :P

Feminine rage anyone? It’s here. There’s a scene that happens on the ship that will stay with me forever. The rage, the betrayal, the hopelessness and how unfair the situation is will make your blood boil. The ending definitely had me tense but then I loved that I felt everything got wrapped up and there was resolution. Really enjoyed this as a duology.
