Mila a struggling wedding planner has just landed the wedding of the year with Evie and Oliver Deubel . They are at a tropical resort that Fin DeWitt owns. Four months ago Mila and Fin hooked up in a broom closet at a wedding. Neither one has gotten over it. Now comes the twist when Evie and Oliver ask Mila and Fin to switch places and pretend that they are married so that Evie and Oliver can get married without the media being involved. While Mila is hesitant at first, Oliver sweetens the deal by offering her more money than is possible. If she can go through the fake wedding to Fin, Mila will be able to relaunch her business, find a new place to live, and put her grandmother in a better care facility. What could go wrong with this plan? The following day Fin and Mila are shocked that they were actually legally married and now Fin wants to keep it that way. Just like with No Romeo, No Saint is humorous and hot at the same time. I would like to thank both NetGalley and ‎ Montlake Publishing for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this novel.

Sadly, this book wasn’t for me. I rarely feel the urge to DNF a book, but this time, it was strong. Still, I powered through. I’ve read and loved many books by this author before, but unfortunately, this one just didn’t work for me.

The blurb initially caught my interest, but I struggled to connect with the main characters once I started reading. The circumstances felt too far-fetched, making it hard for me to stay engaged in the story. On top of that, the excessive spice with little plot, combined with a serious lack of communication, didn’t help. The characters talked about everything under the sun—except their actual feelings for each other!

If you enjoy spice-heavy stories where characters constantly think and talk in innuendos and the relationship is mostly physical, this might be the book for you. But for me, it just missed the mark.

Fake wedding or real marriage? The premise of this story had me intrigued and I immediately dived in.

The physical chemistry between these characters is explosive and sometimes that kind of chemistry also comes with a side of agitation - these two definitely pushed each other’s buttons. Be ready for moments when you want to shake one or both of them - but for me I like that in a book, I don’t want perfect characters. I want flaws.

I enjoyed this one and look forward to seeing what comes next in this world.

First of all, I would like to thank NetGalley and Montlake Publishing for the opportunity of an ARC.

Secondly, I would love to thank Donna Alam for bringing this steaming and funny story to us readers.
Although the FMC was slightly annoying throughout the book, she had her reasons for being that way, and I liked her quite a lot.
I loved Fin though, his character was a bachelor player and in no-way a marriage material until he met her. He was smitten with Mila from the very beginning.

They had a wonderful chemistry and beautiful friendship although they came from different worlds.

Their relationship has had so many hurdles from the start, envy and obsession among them all. Would they be able to come through all this?

If you´re interested, then get the book. I loved every single second of it.

This is the second book in the My Kind of Hero world. You can read it as a standalone (there’s interconnecting characters) but the author has made it easy to figure out. Fin is the friend of Oliver and his fiancée Evie so when he meets Mila, their wedding planner—again—he is delighted. What struck me most about this book is Fin’s absolute longing for Mila (I’m a sucker for he-falls-first). Mila doesn’t have Fin’s financial privilege & has work & family obligations weighing her down and her repeated responses to her stress made it tough to be sympathetic to her. Fin’s persistence (and spicy banter) kept me hanging in. I enjoy the author’s flowing writing style so it was a pleasure to read. If you’re looking for a story with mostly sensual scenes with a side of plot, this book’s for you.

This was an entertaining read! I liked that the storyline wasn't the same old, same old. The characters were interesting, the bow chicka wow wow was steamy, and the writing was easy to read. It was a good read!

What a fun, flirty romance!

It's time for Oliver and Evie's wedding (from No Romeo) and Mila is stunned to find that the celebrity wedding she's been hired to orchestrate - the one that's going to finally put her wedding planning business on the map - is a lot more complicated than she could ever have imagined! And the best man, Fin, just happens to be the same man who was there to distract her - in all the best ways - four months earlier when her life fell apart.

Thrown together by both desperation and loyalty to friends, Fin and Mila have to pull off the sham of the century, all while trying to figure out what to do with their incendiary chemistry and guard their hearts at the same time.

Mila "I’m not kissing you and that half-grown Chia Pet" and Fin "She’s not just my wife, but my why" battle it out in the most hilarious way, with banter that had me actually laughing out loud all while maintaining a charming focus on the true heart of the matter - their undeniable love for each other. Their HEA was not without its surprises, and I absolutely adored every step of their journey.

This author is a genius at writing rom-coms with a solid emotional foundation, and I can't recommend this book highly enough. If you're looking for a deliciously steamy, heartwarming and romantic story, you have to read this book. I reviewed an advance copy of this book.

Thank you netgalley for the opportunity to read this book!

This was a quick and spicy romance read with a lot of tension and chemistry between the characters.
It has the perfect blend of humor and heartfelt and I like it!

This wasn’t earth shattering for me mostly because of the insta love and to me there wasn’t enough reasons to keep them appart for me to understand the going back and forth between the couple.

Otherwise the book was okay, the spice was great and the chemistry was there, it was just something missing but I can’t put my finger on what it was.

** spoiler alert ** I received this book for free from netgalley.com. I am giving it 3⭐ solely because of Fin. The story revolves around Mila and Fin who had a hot encounter in a coat closet at a wedding that Mila worked as wedding planner for. They didn't exchange contact information. Four months later, they reconnect for another wedding that Mila was working and Fin was the best man for. Eventually, drama and misunderstandings ensue and we find our MCs in a tightrope of feelings they can't yet confess. Cute story, really. However, this book had so many repetitive quotes from past moments it definitely could've been 100 pages shorter if it restrained more on those.

A couple of major blunders in the story. First, the wedding in which Evie and Oliver were to be married didn't happen but then, Fin and Mila were supposed to be the ones getting fake married instead. However, there was this whole thing that Mila kept bringing about how Fin and her were supposed to be looking like Evie and Oliver as if a decoy. This just ended up being odd, for lack of a better term, because these two couples do not look alike. It could've just been that the tabloids thought Evie and Oliver were getting married and it ended up being Fin and Mila. The whole thing that Fin and Mila were a decoy was just dumb. Another thing that was grinding my gear is when Fin called for Baba Roza to be moved to a new nursing home and then, she was still in the same crappy nursing home. Like, what happened? Wasn't the whole point of Mila getting more money was to move Baba Roza to a better place sooner? I don't know how these two parts of the stories were so incongruent.

As for Mila, she was insufferable except when she was doing a little banter with Fin. Spicy scenes were fun but that's as far as it goes. Very generic. Fin was much more well-rounded, sure he was older, but he was just consistent. Even when he was acting impulsively he was self-aware. Anyway, not exactly sure if I want to recommend it but you can pick up this series when you want read a better MMC that falls first.

Donna never fails to bring all the feels with her writing, and No Saint was just that. Filled with tropes such as billionaire romance, age gap, marriage of convenience, opposites attract and one bed.. I was hook, link and sinker for this! 🪝🥹

Mila has one shot to make this right, if she wants to save her wedding planning business. She's managed to bag organising one of the biggest weddings of the year - Evie and Oliver's, and is determined to make it perfect for them. However, when the bride and groom break the news that the papz are onto them and they won't be marrying here (yet), they make an offer Mila can't refuse.

For the past few months, Fin can't seem to get the woman who has routinely plagued his thoughts out of his head. When Oliver and Evie asks him to "fake-get-married" on behalf of them, he thinks they've gone crazy... But when he realises wedding planner Mila has been asked to take the brides position and which she's agreed, Fin doesn't hesitate, especially if it means getting to call his dream woman "his wife" 🤭👀

In all seriousness, I did NOT expect playboy Fin to be a cinnamon roll nor a simp, who had the total hots for his "fake" wife, Mila. But man, once we got to know him, my views changed as there was not a thing that man wouldn't do for her!
Mila on the other hand has sworn off men and romance, especially after her recent heartbreak left her blindsided. Mila is especially hesitant over Fin, how she doesn't believe someone like him would settle down for her, especially with his notoriety playboy status. But like two attracting magnets, their chemistry was undoubtedly HAWT🔥🥵, in which they just couldn't keep their hands off each other 🤭
Despite Mila pushing back at every turn, Fin never gave up on her and showed her if she could just take the leap of faith with him, she would truly know what it felt like to be really loved 😍❤️

Thank you to Donna, Montlake and Netgalley for the eARC, in exchange for an honest review 🫶🏼

Quick Summary: A marriage of convenience romance

My Review: No Saint by Donna Alam is book #2 in the My Kind of Hero series. It is scheduled for release on 2/25/25.

About the Book: "He steals hearts left and right. Hers is the first one he wants to keep..."

In My Own Words: A wealthy businessman meets the woman of his dreams while in a precarious situation. It proved to be unforgettable on many levels.

My Final Say: Color me happy with this romance! I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was funny. It was sweet. The leads had great chemistry. The friend group was interesting. The grandmother was endearing. The ex got everything he deserved. All in all, it was very entertaining. Although the book started a bit slow, once it picked up, it was full speed ahead.

My Wish: I would love to hear this as an audiobook.

This was a spicy read. Fin is a horny guy, I love it.
Mila is going through tough times and when the couple whose wedding she has planned asks her to be a decoy, for money, she can't refuse.
The next morning, she realizes she may have made a mistake. She is actually married! Now she has 6 days in paradise with the last person she thinks would even want her.
The ending was great though I was surprised by Fin’s reaction.
I enjoyed this author and will be checking out more of her books!
Thanks Donna A. and NetGalley for the opportunity to read the ARC for this book!

ARC Review of No Saint by Donna Alam
* * * * *
A romance for those who need a little choas. Perfect out of this world crazy, tons of banter, orgasmic silliness and betrayals.

Your MFC and FMC from totally different worlds collide together. Talk about an awkward reunion with 'familiar' tension and vibes.
Fin is your hotty-dream-boat and fantasy magnet who can charm his way into getting what he wants, while Mina is a girl fighting to keep her work and life afloat even when she's drowning in stress.
When their friends have a situation and need a favour for them to escape the media, they ask one simple thing...that has both Mila and Fin dragging their jaws off the floor.

Tons of sexual tension, one liners and jabs from the first few chapters. With POVs from both Fin and Mila, we are taken on a view of their relationship from both sides, seeing how they view each other and their 'marriage'. They get to know eachother from likes, dislikes, difficult pasts with love, families, humour and fun full names.
A funny and steamy read, part of a series but can be read as a singular book as well.

This had me giggling from start to finish. The mmc said the funniest things and had a whole list of nicknames for Mila.

Billionaire playboy and wedding planner accidentally get married. I really enjoyed the way Fin was head over heels from the first meeting and would do anything for her.

This books has something for everyone. Fake dating, accidental marriage, billionaire romance and close proximity. Would definitely recommend!

He really is no saint...

Mila feels like a lamb, led astray by the big bad wolf.
Mila first got to know Fin in a closet, with a bottle of champagne and plenty of tongue.
Then later, she officially meets Fin, the best man who she is faking it until she wakes up wed, with very real signatures on a very real wedding certificate.
These two spend plenty of time making out and hooking up but not too much getting to know each other.

This was quite a fun and upbeat book with a lot of wit and banter between Fin and Mila.
The blurb short version
She's a wedding planner recently single and almost broke. He's a billionaire. When the bride his friend needs to change her wedding location and requires a fake couple in her place she asks Fin and Mila, of course for a fee to Mila. How can she resist and she and Fin have history albeit short.
Overall the book imo is well written with great and stimulating dialogue and hilarious in places. Mila is strong and fiercely independent and he's totally smitten with her, a real cinnamon roll man, what's not to like.
The romance was not overtaken by the amount of steamy scenes, which can often happen, so that was refreshing.
Whilst I was reading it, I wondered why I hadn't read this author before. Her timing for humor is brilliant and the pace was steady no slow burn here either.
Not too much angst either although I did want to shake Mila at times. That shows that the author is able to evoke emotion in the reader.
I really enjoyed the book and hope it does really well.

I really wanted to love No Saint. The premise had so much potential with a fake wedding, a surprise marriage, and a swoon-worthy best man with a mysterious past, but everything after the set-up didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The biggest issue? The lack of actual connection between Fin and Mila. Their communication skills were practically nonexistent, making it hard to root for their relationship. At times, I found myself rereading sections just to figure out why Mila was mad this time. The backstories, which could have added depth, were glossed over, making the emotional stakes feel shallow. Other than a few instances that showed a whisper of chemistry, I mostly saw a lot of arguing and avoidance mixed with sex that started feeling like filler instead of moving the story forward.

There were some fun and interesting moments sprinkled throughout, and I did enjoy the overall concept. If you have a higher tolerance for character-caused angst and miscommunication than I do, then this might be a great read for you.

This book was silly and fun and light hearted. The MMC, Finn was ridiculous and I don’t think I should be read as a stand-alone as I never got the full details of how they actually met and what point there was in Adam?
It was fun overall with some laugh out loud moments and some real smutty moments as well! Thank you NetGalley for letting me read and review.

No Saint by Donna Alam. An ARC from Montlake Publishers and @netgalley.
Publication date: 25th February 2025.
Genre: Fiction/Adult Romance.

It is a steamy romance story, quite obvious from the Cover. The story is about a wedding planner - Mila, who had to take the place of the Bride and pretend to marry the Groom's best man and friend - Fin DeWitt so the real couple can escape media scrutiny and paparazzi, and go get married quietly at an undisclosed location. The Best man is not a total stranger to Mila as they had met some months earlier in a closet at a wedding when Mila was dealing with a heartbreak from her lying and cheating fiancé and Fin kisses away the worst day of her life.

Their lifestyles are worlds apart - Fin is a wealthy man with loads of admirers and Mila is struggling to make ends meet, get her wedding planning business back on track and also earn enough to pay for health care services for her grandma who is suffering from dementia.

As the days go by, the lines between a pretend wedding and a real one gets blurred and Fin is determined to break down the walls put up by Mila.

It is an easy to read instant love story, book 2 of the book series - My Kind of Hero Book series but can be read as a stand alone and I enjoyed it.

A 7.5/10 for me. Thanks to the publishers - Montlake and @netgalley for an advanced readers' copy. All opinions expressed are mine.

This was a fun and steamy romance with great characters and hilarious moments! The story follows a wedding planner who unexpectedly ends up fake-married to the best man, Fin DeWitt—Mr. Sin-in-a-Suit himself. Their chemistry is undeniable, making for a slow burn at times and sizzling interactions at others.

I loved the banter between the characters, which kept the story engaging and lighthearted, even with the emotional moments. The mix of romance, humor, and unexpected twists made this an entertaining read. Fin was the perfect mix of charm and mystery, and the heroine was strong and likable. Their relationship felt natural, with plenty of tension and sweet moments.

Overall, No Saint is a delightful romance with humor, heart, and heat. If you enjoy fake marriage tropes with great character interactions and a dash of chaos, this book is definitely worth reading!
