Fin DeWitt is amazing. He’s what you want your book boyfriend to be. Charming, sexy, hot, rich and oh so swoony.
When he finds himself married to the wedding planner of his best friend’s wedding, he’s downright thrilled. Mila - not so much.
I really liked this book. I adore Fin and wish that Mila had listened to him and maybe not taken quite as long to admit she loved him to. They are great together and I love seeing characters from the first book back again.

Scorching romance for the win! Really enjoyed this one. Loved the banter between the two main characters, Mila and Fin, as well as the chemistry.

2.5 Stars! This is the second book in the ‘My Kind of Hero’ series and can be read as a standalone. I wanted to love this book but it fell a bit flat for me. The main characters are Fin & Mila & while he sounded like a perfect guy, with a possible sex addition, she came off as an always angry with him ‘female dog’.
I started skimming through some of it because it got a bit boring at times & confusing at others. Most of the time I was confused over something, maybe I missed something and had to go back to reread or wondering what set her off again. Why was she mad this time? I get being closed off after being hurt and not communicating, but dang, these 2 are pros at hiding, feelings and thoughts.
They were either having sex, arguing or distraught over something for probably 95% of the book. I love a good ‘sexy time’ scene but you gotta give it a break every now & then. Let ‘it’ breathe once in a while. Maybe have some dialogue or go into more details of their back stories so I’m not as lost. How does a couple fall in love when they talk so little?
Now, all that being said, it was still an interesting book & I enjoyed bits and pieces. I liked the idea of the book but the dialogue could be better & less ‘sexy times’ would be great too. It just got annoying & ridiculous after a while. This book has a lot of potential but as is, just doesn’t work for me.
*I received this book at no charge & I voluntarily left this review.*

Fin and Mila were hot together. It was nice to read about an older couple, although the love story was little too insta. Also, Mila was a bit annoying. She was happy to blame Fin for too many things in her life.

Im sorry but I had to DNF this at 20%. Credit where credit is due, the concept was a GREAT idea. Super interesting and super fun.
However, this was all over the place. The narration, the dialogue, it was just everywhere. I spent so long just being confused.
But the thing that did it in for me was the post-wedding. So, she gets really drunk and wakes up next to a stranger. She has no memory of the night, but is naked and presuming she had sex. She goes on and on about how this was a stranger, looked nothing like Fin, couldn’t be Fin, she’s embarrassed that she didn’t even sleep with her fake husband, the hair isn’t his etc. and then out of nowhere, it is him?
What?
When did it become him? What happened to the whole thing with it not being him? Like, she literally says HIS HAIR IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT?
Great concept, great idea, maybe I’ll come back to it but it’s not for me right now.

The story had a lot of potential. The premise sounds amazing on paper. But the execution needed some work. The story needed a better subplot and side characters to make it interesting. I couldn’t help but feel like the story was not progressing even though it was.

Such a faun book! Mila and Fin’s chemistry was off the charts. The snarky banter, fake marriage, and perfect amounts of spice all made for a great book. Definitely recommend this one.

I really wanted to like this book, but by about 53%, I started skimming, and by 70%, I DNF'd. The premise was intriguing—a fake wedding that turns into a real marriage with someone the FMC has a brief history with—but unfortunately, the plot fell flat. There was little substance beyond the MMC trying to convince the FMC to stay married, but even that was mostly conveyed through his internal thoughts rather than through actual dialogue. The lack of location movement also contributed to the feeling that the plot wasn’t progressing. It was disappointing because the idea had so much potential. A more developed subplot or additional character development could have really elevated the story.
Thank you to @NetGalley, Donna Alam, and the publisher for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Such a cute read, I went back and forth cheering for both sides!!!! This book kept my attention and I was reading every chance I got. This was a new author for me so I was happy to say I would read another of her books. This was a good story line with enough of everything mixed in!!!! I would recommend to others to read!!! Thanks again for a fun book!!!!

The fake marriage goes a bit too far and the real fireworks start. Lots of really entertaining banter, Fin definitely takes dry wit and snark to new levels and is the highpoint for sure. Plot has substance, a lot going on, which keeps things moving and covers some important ground.
