Let’s make something clear from the beginning. The true star of Their Double Lives is Murphy the dog. I dare you not to get attached and emotionally invested in his future. Also thank you Jaime for creating a thriller character I was able to wholeheartedly root for! After all, thrillers are rarely about likability.

Murphy’s human Kim works at an exclusive country club in Jersey. Her financial situation leaves a lot to be desired and she needs funds for a life saving procedure for Murphy. Then she gets an offer from The Stranger offering her money she needs in exchange for unaliving someone. Will Kim embrace her inner John Wick? For full synopsis please swipe!

Jamie’s writing is as smooth as silk. Pages turn themselves, I’m just there for the ride. Games of cat and mouse, despicable humans, obnoxious humans, secrets - all packaged into a wild ride of a story! Can you tell I highly recommend this one?! The book is unputdownable and suspenseful. The characters were so mysterious. Author has created such a powerful and poignant backstories of the characters. The book is filled with revenge, unexpected happenings, twists, secrets, hidden truths, and there is so much more to the plot. The book has dual timelines and multiple POVs. I didn’t see some twists coming. The ending was completely unpredictable. I loved the main character and Murphy too. Thanks to the Author and Publisher.

It started as a typical popcorn thriller, easy to read, but nothing memorable. Then, there was a great reveal, and I had hope that the book would be great. Sadly, the book got more implausible and there were so many reveals it was hard to keep up with who knew what when. If you love lots of reveals you will love this one! 2.5 stars rounded up to 3

Kim loves her dog,Murphy, more than anything in the world. Murphy needs surgery or he will die from a tumor. A burner phone shows up at her place one day, offering her money to drop a pill in someone’s food. Before she can act, someone else ends up dead.

PJ is setting out to get revenge for her mother’s death by making her killer fall in love with him. Will he find out? And what will he do?

These two lives intersect at this club. How? And who is out for revenge? Not as good as some of Jaime’s prior books.

I devoured this book! It starts with Kim who is on a mission to kill someone (not by her choice) when she runs into her high school boyfriend and his fiancée at the club where she works. The fiancée suddenly dies and the story takes off. It’s told in multiple POV and multiple timeline. I loved how the author delivered little clues and revealed secrets throughout the book. It was done by different people in different timelines so when you read another’s POV later, what was revealed clicks into place like a puzzle piece. Intertwining relationships and secrets everywhere should keep all the characters on their toes!!

What a fantastic book! The first one I have read by this author but definitely can't wait to read more! The characters stay with you long after you finish the book. Highly recommend!

Kim is not thrilled to be working as a waitress at the fancy club, but her graphic design jobs have fizzled and she needs to make it work so she can pay for a surgery her dog needs to survive. When The Strangers contacts her with a simple job that will give her the money she needs, she can’t say no. All she needs to do is slip the pill in the new members drink. When the new member ends up being her ex boyfriend, Kim isn’t sure she can go through with it….but someone still dies that night.

Jaime always knows how to keep turning pages! I was as obsessed with Kim’s dog as she was, and I wanted her to get the money to save him so badly! I also loved the aspect of the person she was meant to kill being her ex! This was such a quirk read, and kept me on the edge of my seat and Jaime is known for! I was so surprised by some of the twists, and others I had a feeling! I will read anything Hendricks writes, and I cannot wait for what is next!

If there is one thing I know about Jaime Lynn Hendricks, it's that her books are going to be fast-paced popcorn thrillers. I could not put this down and read it in one day. I knew this would be the perfect book for me, when it opened with the main character willing to do almost anything to save their dog (albeit murder might be a step too far for me). The story bounces between multiple POVs and it really helped keep the story moving and keep the reader engaged. While I did figure a few of the twists, there were still some shocking reveals! This was suspenseful, full of revenge, and addictive. If you're more of a thriller on the beach reader, this is going to be the perfect summer read!

Jaime Lynn Hendricks is a master when it comes to books that are suspenseful and full of manipulation and revenge. I absolutely devoured this one from start to finish and loved every second of it.

Their Double Lives is told in multiple points of view through Kim in the present and PJ in the past leading up to the event. I loved getting both sides to the story; to literally seeing everyone's double lives. I loved all of the characters; even the ones who didn't have the best intentions. The story is a steady to fast paced read; I flew through this one so quickly. The story is a suspenseful read that is filled with revenge plots and past loves. Hendricks adds the perfect amount of witty sarcasm that I greatly appreciated.

Right when you think you have everything figured out, bombs are dropped and twists upon twists knock you off your feet. This is a totally bingeable read and it is without a doubt a must read of 2025. I can definitely say this will be on my list of favorites for the year. Do not sleep on this one you are going to want to check this out!

Every book by Hendricks just gets better and better! I really enjoyed the characters and wild twists throughout this entire book. You just never knew what was going to happen. That ending was perfect.

Talk about a cat and mouse read! I loved getting both Kim and PJ’s perspectives about their lives with Tony then and now. PJ’s chapters were hard to read knowing that she was going to die/dead. Especially when she changed her mind, but by that time it was too late. I shouldn’t have been surprised about who was involved, but I was. So I wanted revenge for PJ, and so did Kim….and someone else. Oh that was a nice twist at the end. If you love this author you’ll love this story!

READ THIS BINGE WORTHY BOOK! To say I loved it is an understatement. Hendricks writing pulls you in from the start and never lets go. The theories in my head was going wild while reading it and so many were wrong.

As with all of Hendrick’s other books, this one is a MUST read. If you are a dog lover, this one will just melt your heart as you can relate to Kim’s struggles to save her dog’s life.

You won’t want to miss this one! Make sure you add it to your TBR.

Are you a popcorn thriller fan? If so? I found one that puts your favorite Frieda book to shame. Hendricks grips you from the first chapter and keeps you guessing until then end. I won’t give away anything but I urge my thriller loving friends to add this book to their TBR!!

I absolutely loved the cast of characters, especially Kim, a waitress desperate to raise money for a lifesaving surgery for her fur baby, Murphy. Hadley can definitely relate to this storyline. The plot unravels at the perfect pace, unveiling sinister motives and secrets along the path of revealing the villains and the heroes amongst a bunch of morally grey characters. Fans of popcorn, domestic, and revenge thrillers, especially animal lovers, will enjoy this book.

Jaime Lynn Hendricks has won me over with her book Their Double Lives! This is my first read by her, and now I’m eager to explore her entire backlist. The story is incredibly addictive. The intricately woven dual timelines create a suspenseful, twisty plot filled with deception, revenge, and carefully crafted alter egos, making for an utterly entertaining thriller.

The book kicks off with a bang—”The Stranger” wants Anthony dead tonight, and Kim is the one who was supposed to kill him. However, Anthony turns out to be "Tony," her high school sweetheart. In a shocking twist, it is not Anthony who dies, but his fiancée, PJ. From that moment on, the pace of the story never slows down.
