Otogi and Toki are the president and vice president of their class, both of them are known for being really popular, kind and having flawless reputations - they're like angels. However, they both have a hidden side they don't show to anyone. That is, until they discover each other's secrets!
This manga felt like a blend of Horimiya and Kaguya-sama and I had so much fun reading! If you're a fan of those manga and love romcoms you'll probably enjoy this one as well.
The story was fun, the characters are likeable and I found myself laughing multiple times. I really like Coco Uzuki's art style, it's so pretty and cute! I love the dynamic between Otogi and Toki and I already want more of them!
I'll probably check out the Japanese version because I feel like some things inevitably get lost in translation but I really appreciated the little translation notes at the end. I can't wait to continue reading this!
~Thank you to Kodansha Comics and NetGalley for the ARC!

Thank you Kodansha Comics for the digital ARC via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I really enjoyed the art and concept of this story. It's a little bit of a slow start and we haven't seen too much of the characters' "dark sides" but it's only volume 1 so I have high hopes we'll see more in the coming volumes. This one had enough to hold my interest and make me feel invested in the main characters so that I want to continue reading and see where their story goes which I think is the main objective of the first book in any series. There aren't any secondary characters who really stood out in this volume, so I would love to see more of the main characters interacting with their friends. It's a good choice if you're looking for a quick, cozy read!

I really liked Kaguya-sama: Love is war and Fall In Love, You False Angels just gave a similiar vibe and i loved it. The stroyline, the characters and especially the artstyle is sooo pretty. I talked to one of my colleagues about it as she started reading mangas through me and she also liked it. Definitely one of the prettiest rom-com mangas i've read so far!

I gave this manga 4 stars mainly because I really loved the art style—it’s gorgeous and definitely the highlight for me. The characters come across as sweet and kind on the surface, but there’s this subtle hint that they’re more complicated underneath. I wish we got to see a bit more depth or contrast in their personalities because some moments felt a little too ordinary instead of really showing their “hidden sides.” Still, I found their dynamic interesting and I’m curious to see where their relationship goes in the next volumes. Overall, it was a nice, enjoyable read for me

I lean more towards liking this manha, just because the characters are not really portrayed that well. I would expect the FL kindness to be exaggerated, yk, OTT. But it's not. She is so kind, she gets tired of it, I should really be able to see that. Being called and angel (The title) is lowbar, if their characters are classed as that in their world.
And for the ML it's the exact same. That aspect of the story really pushed me away. If they are two faced, then the "two faces" should really oppose each other. Neither characters had a dark side it was just normal emotions most people have. Why were they trying to hide it?
I want to know what drew them towards eachother in the first place. Maybe we will be shown in other volumes.
Thanks Netgalley for the ARC💃🏽🙈📖

A gorgeous and cliché shoujo romance! I adore gap moe characters and an androgynous male love interest 😋 I likely won’t continue with the series, but I throughly enjoyed the volume.
Thank you NetGalley and Kodansha comics for an advance reader copy in exchange for an unbiased review.

This manga is highly entertaining. Otogi Katsura is the Class President and Toki Ninomae is the class Vice President and they both present a facade to the general public. Everyone believes that they are beauty, elegance and kind. Underneath this facade, they are rough around the edges, and have a take no prisoner attitudes. They are still protective over people but they approach things with a little more violence than what you would expect.
An encounter changes their relationship when they both get to see the "real" person under the angelic persona. The graphic is pretty and I can't wait to see how their relationship changes in future encounters.
Thank you NetGalley for the e-Arc and this is my honest opinion.

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

I enjoyed this first volume quite a bit. I like the concept of manga when the main characters aren't always as they seem on the surface. The only critique I would give on that front is that it didnt seem enough of a character change than it could have been. I thought it would have maybe been a bit darker of a personality when in the manga they just aren't nice and smiley as what they actually are in school. But overall I liked that Katsura and Ninomae could be more themselves with each other and I can't wait to see how their relationship goes in the later volumes and what kind of things they will get up to.

thank you for the review copy of this book! I cannot give a personal review of it due to committee policies, so I will rate it five stars for being age-appropriate for my library collection and a book that will be consider purchasing in the fall.

This is a cute story about a bubble gum princess and her connection forming with the broody guy. I didn't totally understand why what he did was anomalistic to his personality and "another side", but I still really enjoyed the story.

It had promise, but i dont know whether it was the art style or the flow, something was a bit disjointed in this story for me. I also didnt feel any depth. 2.5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this manga in exchange for my honest opinion.
It's a story with good art, but leaves a lot to be desired in terms of narrative. Not very interesting and coherent. I am concerned about the continuity of the story.
Still, the art alone is worth reading at least once.

I usually seldom read mangas but lately I've fallen in love with them and this is one of the mangas that I'd recommend!

THE ART STLE!!!!!!!!!!! I could seriously rave for so long just about how beautifully illustrated this story is. The characters and their inner dialogue are so funny (also their "dark sides" are literally just them (rightfully) telling people off), I totally want them to be together in a real way, and I need more volumes of this manga ASAP! If you ever wondered how the Class Rep/School idol keeps it together without screaming or losing it in every manga or anime, so yourself a favor and pick this up!

Fall In Love, You False Angels by Coco Uzuki is about trimming yourself down and carefully curating the person you are in order to uphold ideals of perfection, being calm and collected, and ultimately limiting yourself through fitting yourself into these rigid boxes, and how that begins to crumble under the ability to be vulnerable with one another, whether on purpose or not, or for your own benefit.
What strikes me most about it is the beauty within the linework of this manga. The art in this series is absolutely stunning to look at. Each panel is so well detailed and I admire the overall character designs for how much personality is able to be read from their overall styles, their body language, and the framing of each scene within the panels and page spreads.
There is a lot of beauty behind the facial expressions of the characters in this volume, and often neglected details have an astonishing amount of love and care put into them, between subtle glances, soft smiles or smirks, and the emotion behind the eyes. It's clear to me that Coco Uzuki holds a lot of value for how her characters are viewed by the reader, which is a reflection of the mango's central theme.
There is a certain girlishness to the main female lead that comes across as quite charming, especially when her introduction is portrayed as a bit distanced from her classmates as a standout beauty. She's soft, sweet, a bit bitey, and something about her makes her feel easy to relate to while knowing she's hiding aspects of herself from the outside world of others. Between the various relationships she has with her classmates, that range from annoyance to rather sweet (as in the case with her crush), this makes the deception between the two main characters surrounding who they actually are inside, and more importantly, how similar they are on their hidden selves, feel more genuine.
Overall not only is Fall In Love, You False Angels a cute but genuine premise that promises to be emotionally vulnerable, it's also an outstanding beauty to look at. It's sleek and pretty, and this volume showcases that there is far more simmering under the surface than expected by first glance.
Thank you Netgalley, Kodansha, and Coco Uzuki for this early copy!

I was so excited to read this manga!!! Such a beautifully put-together translation. I really enjoyed reading this. The e-ARC was so clean and clear. I'm sure the printed copy will be equally beautiful. Loved it!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a fun read with 2 (visually appealing and) interesting main characters. The main premise revolves around 2 teenagers really loved by classmates, generally seen as role models but hide a more delinquent side to themselves. When they reveal these hidden sides to themselves, (minor) shenanigans ensue🤭. I love the dynamics between the 2 leads, especially the female lead who gets easily flustered by the male lead's antics. If you tell me what I think, I'd tell you that it's good & has a wonderful foundation for a love story. If I tell you what I really think, it's about being true to yourself with someone that truly gets you, not everyone needs to see the 'true' you in a sense. Not everyone can handle that & that's fine, you can't be for everyone.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this advanced reader's copy and the opportunity to this early. Review has been posted on Waterstones and Goodreads.

Fantastic! I loved this one. I'm eagerly awaiting the second volume. The art is wonderful, as well as the storyline.

This is a cute, sweet beginning to this series. I am excited to read more and see their relationship develop.
