OMG. The way Abby kills me with the cliffhanger endings!!
We got answers to the cliffhanger in book 2 but here I am again, needing the next book IMMEDIATELY!
With each book I love learning more and more of each of Hunters guys. I love the way they interact with her and with each other. Each brings something special to Hunters life providing the perfect balance for her.
I can't get enough! Bring on the next book ASAP!

The only reason I tried to listen to this book is because I requested it through NetGalley and felt obligated to at least give it a try.
My opinion has not changed from the last book. Hunter is a toxic, narcissistic, selfish piece of trash! I also stand by my previous review when I say that the addition of extra men to this nightmare is completely unnecessary.
This series could have been so much more if it were only Hunter, Greedy and Levi. I loved their emotion, dynamic and intensity. I was really hoping for a redemption story where the three of them could grow together. This book seems miles away from where we started and not in a good way. Unfortunately, for me, this doesn’t even feel like it’s the same series.
Needless to say, I only made it 40% through before I became physically angry, again and DNF! I’m not sure if there’s more books to come in this series, but if there is, it’s a definite no for me!

Thank you NetGalley, Dreamscape Media and Abby Millsaps for giving me the opportunity to listen to this ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

When the cliffhanger leaves you stunned I hate it but also kind of love it. The relationships between all four is progressing and their dynamics are getting better with each other. Enjoying the series now, it keeps getting better the more we learn about these characters.

This was a fabulous listen, I am loving the whole story arc but listening to it brings a new side to it. The various narrators were so good, really helped to bring depth and emotion to the characters, Spence in particular was just superb-his lines in that British accent was amazing!
My breath was still taken away with the ending and I can't wait to get the next installment!

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for providing me with an advanced listener copy of this book.
I highly recommend reading books 1 and 2 prior to reading/listening to this book. This book picks up after book 2’s cliffhanger.
I liked the characters in these books and enjoy how they overcome personal and group issues. The struggles that they face both internal and external really make characters feel real.
What I didn’t care about is how the author does the timeline. I’m not a fan of how the story jumps back and forth between “now” and “then”. Knowing that the books would end on cliffhangers, I feel that the first book could have more of the “before” timeline for Hunter ending on the cliffhanger of her return to North Carolina.
This book is a dual narration format by June DeBorahae, J. River Pierce, Liam Dicosimo, Keval Shah and Julio Maxwell. While dual narration is not my preferred narration (I like duet so much more), I feel that the narrators did really well.
Of note this is a MMMFM why-choose. This means that there are some scenes that are MM and sword-crossing. The spice in this along with the others are HOT! 4 maybe 5 chili peppers – be prepared to melt!

This series is wild! Just when I think things can't get any more complicated, they do! Hunter and her men continue to try to establish the unit they are all so longing for, but another one of Hunter's past men shows up and her mother continues to meddle in the worst way.
This is an emotional story with a lot of triggers for people but I find the way that they are all coming together so refreshing. The love they have for Hunter and each other, each of these men is something special. I'm so excited to see how this ends in the last book.
The narrators did a great job and I could tell the difference when each of the men were telling their story. I can't wait for the conclusion to their story!

I waited for the audio to read/listen to this one as the narrators have just made the other ones in this series so amazing to experience, and I am so glad that I did! They were absolutely fantastic once again, & I listened in one sitting! I couldn't stop! Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to listen!
The cliffy at the end of book 2 nearly took me out! I was on the edge of my seat at the beginning of this one, & when I tell you I was SHOCKED at how that played out, I. Was. SHOCKED. No spoilers, but please read so you can be angry with me lol!
I love me some Hunter and how she how grown, but the growth and openness of Greedy is just *chefs kiss*! That man has opened his heart and mind, and I AM HERE FOR IT! The dynamics with he and Levi, he & Kabir, and the new addition of the next cohort, Sione, just makes my heart swell for him!
The flashbacks are fantastic in this one, as they have been in the previous books too, & I love that look into how Hunter connected & developed with Sione.
If you can't tell, I loved this one, and cannot wait for the 4th/last book in this one. I know I am going to be so sad, but I have faith Abby will wrap these characters and their story up beautifully!

Abby, why do you keep killing me with the cliffhangers?! I'm not gonna lie, I'm not sure how I feel about Sione, and his whole person but I will wait to see more of him in book 4. I'm very curious if this cliffhanger is Spence's way of buying Hunter some time, or if this is actually true, especially given her trauma. Also, very curious if Spence told her prior to the springing of the news on everyone else. I'm loving this series, but this book felt like a lot of exposition for the series versus having much excitement *waggles eyebrows* it's still steamy, but I was hoping for more of book 2's antics.
Loving these on audio from NetGalley!

The third book in this series sees Hunter the FMC kidnapped by her mother and the guys are set to find her. We have Levi, Greedy and Spence and while they look for Hunter they are figuring out their new dynamic.
I have to say this series has taken a direction that was unexpected. A good thing - if it included the original guys and with Hunter if she was a bit more palatable or without her might work as well. She’s a hard character to like - albeit I’m in favour of the health and mental health representations she brings to the story. I appreciate the relationships she has with the individual men but I can’t see anything endearing about her in the relationships I’ve seen on page from their perspectives. I wouldn’t have cared if we just saw Levi, Greedy and Spence. And Sione … I just don’t think we needed another one.
I really like Abby’s writing and am interested to see where this goes though.
I listened to the audiobook which was a great way to take the story in.
Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to listen.

So stinking good. Thank you for picking the perfect voices to bring Hunter, Greedy, Levi, Sionne and Kabir to life. The flow was good, and really made you feel like you were apart of the story! I loved it!

Did I devour this book in less than 24 hours? Yes you bet I did. After that last cliff hanger I gobbled this up as quick as I could.
I’m really enjoying the way these characters story arcs are coming together. I love how Abby has the juxtaposition of dual timelines, they are done so well. I also really enjoyed the “phases” if you know what I mean. It really solidified the PMDD rep and I really enjoy. I also loved having our beloved Joey and her boys making cameos.
I’m loving how the dynamic of Levi and Greedy is shaping up to be. It’s a different take having additional men added to a why choose as the books go on. I did feel like I wanted a bit more from Siones time alone with Hunter. It felt like he was just kind of thrown in and their relationship didn’t get as much time to developed compared to Spens. Who, BTW, I ADORE. Honestly I don’t think I could pick up a favorite.
A great why choose! Make sure to read the other two books first, this is not one to just jump randomly into. I also think it’s be beneficial to read the Boy of Lake Chapel first as well if your a lover of knowing all the things.
All the narrators do a fantastic job with each character. Such a great audiobook as well!

Honestly this series is losing me. The spice is fantastic. But the FMC can just be insufferable. And I know it's a why choose but we are collecting men like Pokemon at this point. I want to continue the series to see how the storyline plays out but I also am not that invested.

This series just gets better and better. After that cliffhanger in book two, I couldn’t get to this one fast enough, and it didn’t disappoint. I love how this story progresses and never gets to a point of monotony. Just when I think things may be settling, we get another character introduced or a veering in the plot line. I love the relationships between each member of this group and the way it all remains fluid. And of course, we get one more cliffhanger that has me counting down to the next book.
The audio aspect of this one has been phenomenal. The accents are a fun addition and each narrator does a really good job differentiating between characters. It’s been a pleasure to listen to this story unfold and hear each emotion coming to life through my headphones.

I picked up *So Rare* by Abby Millsaps on a whim, drawn in by its intriguing title and promise of a steamy, emotional romance. While I enjoyed the book overall, I was surprised to find myself a little lost at times, as it turns out this is the third book in a series! I didn’t realize this going in, so the established relationships and ongoing storylines left me scrambling to catch up. That confusion knocked down my rating, though I admit that’s more on me than the author.
What stood out despite my lack of context were the emotionally charged moments and the authentic, flawed characters. Magnolia is a complex heroine grappling with family struggles and personal growth, and her relationships with Greedy, Levi, Spence, and Sione are deeply layered. The romantic tension and personal drama were gripping, even if I didn’t have all the backstory to fully appreciate the dynamics.
I listened to the audiobook version, which was a fantastic experience. The cast of narrators did an incredible job bringing each character to life, making the multiple perspectives easy to follow and engaging. Their performances added depth to the emotional beats of the story and kept me hooked even during the moments I felt a bit out of the loop.
While I would strongly recommend starting with the first book in the *Boys of South Chapel* series to avoid the confusion I faced, *So Rare* is still a beautifully written story that delivers on angst, romance, and heart. If you enjoy steamy, emotional reads and audiobooks with great narration, this one’s worth checking out—but maybe don’t make the same mistake I did and start with book one!

Absolutely obsessed with the boys of South Chapel series. Big fan of Abby’s work. The cast for this audiobook was great, really brings out something different having a full cast. Hunter is one lucky lady.

This book picks up where “So Real” left off - Hunter is gone from Greedy’s dad’s cabin and Greedy thinks she’s running.
This book was a wild ride. We find out Kabir has a tracker implanted in Hunter (wut??) so luckily they can find where she’s doing. Kabir saves the day by swooping in and PURCHASING THE MED SPA where Hunter’s evil mom took her.
The spice in this book was top tier, specifically every single scene with Levi (ESPECIALLY the scene with Levi and Kabir). 🫠

Have you ever read a series that you knew was going to stay with you forever? Well this series is it for me. I’ll just be going about my day and Hunter and the guys will pop into my mind. Hunter is a part of my soul and this book just built on it.
I loved this audiobook! I just finished and let me tell you, if you love audiobooks this one was phenomenal. The full cast of narrators were amazing, they truly brought hunter and the guys to life!
I am so in love with this book- we get to meet Sione and we get to watch the dynamic build between Levi, Greedy and Spence. The relationship that they’re all building together is absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait till I get to see where it goes!

This series has been a very interesting trek in living with chronic conditions and navigating mental health. I liked that each of Hunter’s connections serves as a milestone in her mental health journey. Each has a role and serves a purpose. Excited for the finale ! Audio note: very well done! Each performer brought their character to life.

This audiobook was so fun to listen to! I loved all the different narrorators. They really brought the story to life.
As usual the plot was a wild ride and there were many nice stops along the way with the whole gang. I was surprised to see how well Si fit into the group. The ending was so shocking and I can’t wait to see the conclusion of the series!

OH MY GODDDD!!!!
The twists and turns that Abby puts Hunter through are diabolical. I absolutely love the story that has been told through this series. The representation is *chef's kiss*. My jaw is always on the floor at the end of Abby's books and this one was no different. I am just hoping she does not wreck me beyond repair before this group's HEA.
The narrator choices fit these characters so well, and it felt like I was listening to a podcast of people telling their life stories! This book has so much heart and showcases everyday people's struggles. Hearing the group's personal journies really helped me connect to these characters on a deeper level. I loved everything about the audiobook!
Thank you Dreamscape for the opportunity to listen to the ALC on Netgalley!
