I absolutely loved So Rare! This book had me on chokehold! I was hooked from start to finish, just when I thought things were starting to settle down, Abby Millsaps hit us with yet another cliffhanger, I need the next book already! I’m still reeling from the whirlwind of emotions it delivered. The story is everything a why-choose romance should be: intense, steamy, and filled with moments that hit you right in the feels.

From the very first chapter, I was drawn to Magnolia’s determination to fight for her found family and the love she shares with Greedy, Levi, Spence, and Sione. The tension Magnolia faced with her manipulative mother added just the right amount of drama without overshadowing the love story. Each man brought something unique and beautiful to the story, and their dynamics felt so raw and authentic. It was impossible not to root for their happily ever after. It’s rare (pun intended) to see so many characters with such distinct personalities come together in a way that feels so seamless.

The audiobook narration brought this story to life in such a vivid way. The voices perfectly captured every ounce of love, pain, and joy. You could feel the chemistry between the characters as individuals and as a group. If you love angsty, steamy why-choose romances with a strong emotional core, you need to listen to So Rare. It’s an unforgettable story about love, healing, and finding the kind of happiness that’s worth fighting for. I’m already planning my re-listen, it’s that good!

.5⭐️
Despite it being released a couple of months ago this book was still available on NetGalley and I was desperate for an audiobook.
I had listened to book two so I wanted to see the difference

I did enjoy it slightly more but maybe it’s because I knew what I was getting into? It’s angsty smut. So you need to take it for what it is.

It passes the time and provides some frivolous entertainment. So for this type of book what else could I ask for? It’s not winning a Pulitzer anytime soon but for what it is it’s decently written.

I am thankful to have gotten the ALC for free from Dreamscape Media through NetGalley to read which gave me the opportunity to voluntarily leave a review.

My rating system since GoodReads doesn’t have partial stars and I rarely round up.

⭐️ Hated it
⭐️⭐️ Had a lot of trouble, prose issues, really not my cup of tea (potentially DNF’d or thought about it)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meh, it was an ok read but nothing special
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really enjoyed it! Would recommend to others
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding! Will circle back and read again

So Rare by Abby Millsaps is the epic, enthralling & exhilarating third book in one of my new favorite author’s wonderful why choose romance.

This is book #3 in the Boys of South Chapel series & this cannot be read as a standalone. I also recommend starting with this author’s incredible series Boys of Lake Chapel for the best experience.

So Rare is great for those looking to read…

This series is like the sweetest, most dazzling onion with each story peeling & unveiling a new major book in the main characters life & romance. It is beautiful watching them blossom, heal & fall in love. I have to keep things vague as to not give away any spoilers.

I am so grateful & thankful for the chronic illness representation. My heart fills with so much ache, joy, understanding & so much more with the way this author has made chronic illness so intertwined in their stories.

I also listened to the audiobook of this & I loved hearing the characters brought to life. I sat in awe & wonder at being able to listen to this lovely story in audiobook form. I listened at 2x speed & it was perfect for my ADHD brain.

If you are looking for a truly gorgeous, emotional & spicy why choose romance, I cannot recommend the Boys of South Chapel enough.

Massive thanks to NetGalley & Dreamscape Audio for the gifted copy, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.

Every single one of the audiobooks for this series has been such a treat! The cast of narrators just gets better and better and they all work together so well! It’s not often you get 3+ narrators, and in this one we get FIVE. I highly recommend consuming this story via audio! 🔥🎧

The third book in the South Chapel series started off with a BANG! We dive straight into the drama we were left with in So Real. Now Hunter’s guys have to work through their mixed up feelings while going on a cross country roadtrip to rescue their leading lady.

We are finally introduced to Hunter’s fourth and finally harem member, Sione! Everything about this man was SPIRITUAL. He is the walking embodiment of a SEXY GURU. He is into auras and crystals and I loved him right from the beginning!

“𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦. 𝘔𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.”

The drama surrounding Hunter’s egg donor had me raging. Get ready to get mad friends! This woman is a top of the line book VILLAIN.

It was great to see how the guys developed new connections and relationships within the harem. There’s a scene where Spence lays down the different dynamics within the harem and it had me cracking up!

🥵 The spice in this book was literally FERAL. Be ready for the BURN friends, this book was the literary version of LAVA. ❤️‍🔥

I am officially ready for the fourth and finally book, So Right, to come out soon! 🌈
