Absolutely loved this book!
The story revolves around Sydney, an actress who loses her job from a hit TV series. After burning bridges in the industry, she heads to Florida to visit her eighty-three-year-old Grand, a widow living life to the fullest. Grand's quirky personality and sharp outlook on life is contagious and you cannot help but adore her. Grand does have a secret though and things are heating up in the community she has just moved into.
Sydney gets involved and realizes the skills she learned playing Cassie Everheart, an LAPD Detective, come in handy. People often confuse Sydney with her TV character, leading to some hilarious interactions. I found myself laughing out loud more times than expected!
Overall, this book is light, funny, mysterious, romantic, with a hint of suspense. The descriptive writing is top-notch, and the character development is fantastic. It's the perfect beach read for a vacation.

I enjoyed this book. Easy reading with fun characters. The plot was interesting and fast moving. It would be a great vacation read. Perfect for sitting by the pool or on the beach.

LOVED this book!! Wendy Wax never disappoints. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Just Beachy. Was this story believable? No, but it was heartwarming, fun and entertaining! The three main characters were good natured and full of personality. Grand is every person's grandmother they'd love to have. Luke is every girl's dream boyfriend/husband and Sydney is the character you cheer for. Do not hesitate to read this book! It's a fast, happy beach read you won't be disappointed with. I liked it was set on the West Coast of Florida because that is where I now live.

A fun quick read. Hallmark mixed with some crime solving. A great plot with some subtle romance. Sydney an LA actress who gets blindsided by loosing her big role moves to Florida where her grandmother has decided to move. There she runs into people who can't seem to separate her character from her as a person. But her grandma has some secrets of her own that makes her a target of some thieves who are looking for something they know she has.

It's so great to visit Pass A Grille and the Beach Road group again. Although Just Beachy introduces a new member to the gang we get to catch up with the women we've met, grown to admire and follow.
Welcome back Wendy Wax. It was a pleasure to early read Just Beachy thanks to #NetGalley.
Five stars!

Wendy Wax is truly a master at crafting beach reads that I find completely captivating! Her latest novel, “Just Beachy,” is no exception; it excels in every way! This must read novel revolves around Sydney Ryan, who encounters a critical turning point in both her personal and professional life. In search of solace and direction, she decides to spend some much-needed time with her beloved grandmother, which unexpectedly leads her to uncover a mystery. I was completely hooked and couldn't wait to see how it all unfolds!
I have a deep love for beach reads, but I must confess that I indulge in them year-round. Even during the frigid days of January, I crave a warm-weather escape, and this gem is paired with a cozy mystery. True to her style, she has crafted a vibrant and engaging cast of characters that I adored from the very first page. The storyline flows effortlessly, rich with warmth and authenticity, making it a joy to read. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend “Just Beachy” to everyone!

Just Beachy by Wendy Wax takes us back to Ten Beach Road and I couldn't be happier!
When Sydney Ryan is written off of her TV show Murder 101 because her best friend had a baby with a Hollywood star and his wife is seeking vengeance on anyone associated with her, Sydney goes to visit her grandmother, Grand, at her mother's request.
While there, she meets up with her high school crush, now police officer, Evan, and along with Grand and the other Ten Beach Road residents try to find out what is behind a series of break-ins.
Ms. Wax has a way of writing that draws you in at the beginning and you suddenly have finished the book. The characters are fun, the story plot even more fun, and she writes a great secondary character that makes you want to read their stories too.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in consideration of an honest review. All opinions are my own.

A mystery, romance, and some inside looks at the entertainment industry make Just Beachy more than your average beach read. Sydney is a star on a CSI leaning type of show who’s just gotten fired for a younger actress, and, because she angered the wrong women in entertainment she’s finding it hard to get her next gig. Booking it to an idyllic location in Florida, she quickly has her hands full with strangers withholding drinks because they think she’s fresh out of rehab (aka not understanding she’s not the character she plays - very funny), trying to find a new job, and figuring out what her Grandma, Grand, is hiding from her. Grand’s secret not only leads to danger and intrigue for Sydney involving the art world, it also brings an old crush Luke, now a police officer, into her world.
I really enjoyed all the elements at play in this book and they kept the plot moving quickly and staying very fresh. Just Beachy was often hilarious, sometimes touching, and always entertaining. There were signs with Sydney’s friend group that this is part of a series, but I never felt like I was missing out on anything major as a result, which makes it a good standalone (though the author’s writing has me wanting to check out the broader series). Warning: if you do read this at the beach you’re risking sunburn because it will hold on to your attention full stop.

I loved this book so much it was a great beach read set in the sunny state of Florida I enjoyed it so much Thank you Netgalley and Wendy for the chance to read this book!

Wendy Wax does it again with a great romance/mystery hybrid that grabs you from word one and keeps you interested until the last word. Highly recommend.

A glimpse at the Hollywood culture with all the ups and downs. Sydney loses her longtime role playing a cop in a popular tv series to make way for a younger version. They have her fall apart due to a break up and becoming an alcoholic.
Her last show has her going to rehab.
She leaves the West Coast and goes to Florida to see her grandmother and that's where all the action starts.
Exciting, humourous, entertaining and romantic.
I loved it.

I love this book! Staring with the title! And It hooked me up, I couldn't put it down!
It's a story about starting all over again, really heartwarming!
The relationships between characters were good! And balance with the mystery is great. Interesting but not too much.
Great book for summer escape!
Thank you NetGalley and for this great ARC!

I really enjoyed this book! Sydneys character was really well written. I enjoyed seeing her relationship with Grand grow stronger and also loved that she ended up with Luke! This book held my interest and I finished it in 1 day.

Just Beachy is the perfect beach read….honestly, the Ten Beach Road series is one I highly recommend to all. Start from the first book. You will not regret it!
Just Beachy is a story about getting a reset in life when all seems to be going wrong.
I enjoyed the mystery aspect.
I loved the romance.
The friendships between all the characters is so endearing.
Oh, the memories I get to feel while reading this series! I can’t wait to toast the sunset on my next visit to St. Petersburg.

Wendy Wax is back with the ladies of Ten Beach Road and Kyra Singer’s best friend Sydney Ryan. Sydney’s career in Hollywood has been derailed since her character on a long running police drama has been sent to rehab, never to return to the show. She’s back in Treasure Island, Florida taking time off with her grandmother, the delightful Lillian. A suspicious series of break-ins at Lillian’s new townhouse brings her teenage love, now policeman, Luke back into her life. While Luke tries to discover why Lillian is being targeted, Sydney helps her grandmother’s friend Myra open a new bookstore at the beach.
Wendy Wax is the master of the beach read and Just Beach is no exception! New characters join familiar ones, a mystery boils in the background while the ladies toast the sunset with good memories of the day and Cheetos. Put this one in your beach bag although it is so good you may never go into the water! 5 stars.
Thank you to NetGalley, Berkley Publishing Group and Wendy Wax for this ARC.

This book is a perfect beach read, blending romance with just the right amount of mystery and action. The characters are vibrant and entertaining, and I especially loved Grand—she’s the kind of spunky, inspiring woman I hope to be in my 80s! This was my first book by this author, and while I did sense there might be more backstory to some of the secondary characters, it didn’t take away from my enjoyment. I’m looking forward to exploring more of this author’s work!

This book is a perfect escapist read for anyone craving a feel-good, small-town romance with a splash of mystery. The setting is vibrant and the plot engaging. Sydney’s journey to self-discovery and the blossoming friendships around her feel authentic, making this novel a delightful ride from start to finish.
