I really enjoyed this book by Freida! Lots of twists and unexpected things happening per usual Freida fashion, I loved everything about this book and will be recommending to my friends and family!

This was a quick read that I had a hard time putting down. The story is told from multiple POVs but the main character is male this time. Even though I saw the main twist coming, I enjoyed how it all played out. The chapters were short which I really appreciate. I’m actually a bit sad I finished this book because I’m back to waiting for my next Freida fix.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of The Tenant, and I really enjoyed it! True to Freida McFadden’s style, this one had plenty of twists and turns that completely caught me off guard. Just when I thought I had things figured out, the story flipped in a whole new direction.

I will say the beginning felt a little slow or drawn out, but once things started happening, I was hooked. The suspense kept building, and the final reveal definitely delivered. Another solid, twisty thriller from McFadden that fans of hers will love!

I was one of the lucky readers who received an ARC of Freida’s new book, The Tenant! I’d easily give this one five stars. Blake and Krista welcome Whitney into their home during a troubling time, believing she is the perfect person to be their tenant…or is she? Sitting at 368 pages, I literally flew through it, which is somewhat unusual for me with a book that size. Without giving any spoilers it felt like a quick, twisty, true Freida thriller that keeps you second guessing everything you know and believe. The character development was thorough, but not mind numbing. The descriptions were not gory, but enough to make you squirm. I loved that we also got a glimpse into the male perspective in this book, another reason it was such a hit for me. Of all her recent releases, I do have to say this is my favorite she’s put out in a while. Another thing I loved is that all of the chapters felt quick, but exciting. This usually helps me move through a book faster than if the chapters are long and drawn out. I cannot wait for release day to be here and for everyone to read it!!!
Thank you again Freida McFadden for giving your readers the opportunity to read it early.

Absolutely loved this book. I did give it a. 4.5/5 stars in total. As usual, you think you have it figured out, but you don't. I feel like this book gave a little bit different type of twists than what other Freida books do and I am all for that!! I highly recommend this book and can't wait for her next one to come out

I received an ARC of The Tenant from NetGalley, and while I can’t say much… just know that Freida McFadden did NOT disappoint! Once again, I thought I had it all figured out—only to be completely wrong (as always). 😂

I could not put this book down. I had to know what was going to happen next, and it was absolutely worth the sleep deprivation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

(Though running on three hours of sleep at work today? Brutal. 😭 And of course, it was one of those days!)

-this is what I put on good reads and the McFadden Facebook page

Thank you to Freida McFadden and the Poisoned Pen Press team for an ARC of The Tenant! This is one of my top Freida books - the queen has done it again! I loved this was from the POV from a man - Blake. Blake has it all until he’s fired from his VP marketing job and unable to make his mortgage payments. He lives with his fiancé Krista and they decide to take on a tenant to help with bills. They find Whitney and she seems like a great candidate and so she moves in. Everything is great until it isn’t. Blake has too much stress with finding a new job, odd stuff going on at home, that by the time the danger is too much - it’s far too late. Like all Freida’s books, the twists keep coming and they don’t stop coming. Buckle up because you will be jumping out of your seat.

Of course Frieda McFadden hit it out of the park again! I never saw the twist and I'll definitely think twice about renting out to a complete stranger!

Freida McFadden is masterful once again with The Tenant- a thriller following Blake and Krista in NYC. As Blake's life begins to spiral, he blames their new roommate, Whitney. However, all Freida readers know that things aren't always what they seem, and The Tenant is no different.

I definitely thought I had things figured out but I truly didn't figure out the twist until just a page or two before it's reveal. And true to McFadden's other novels, that second twist is the one that packs a punch.

Also, I really loved that we experience most of the book through Blake's eyes- I feel like this not only cements that McFadden is the Thriller Queen, but she is versatile.

This is a great, easy thriller to read, and I expect to see this book in every beach bag this summer.

A good thriller to me is when I audibly gasp during the book. I have to say, I audibly gasped, twice, during this book. I loved the twist, it is something I was not expecting. There was a little too much blah buildup to the twist, but overall I enjoyed this book.

This is the first time I guessed the twist before it happened. Still, a great, twisty psychological thriller. I always enjoy Freida's writing, and I loved the addition of having the MMC's POV. Overall, I would recommend.

Thank you to Poisoned Pen Press for the digital ARC, I am so grateful I was able to read and review this amazing book.
Freida did not disappoint! I have read several of Freida's book and this one tops my list of favorites. This is the first book written from a males perspective and she did a great job, I found parts to be absolutely hilarious, which is a great addition to her (already amazing) work. As for the book itself, it is true Freida fashion, your jaw will drop not once, twice, but it's not until the last chapter that your jaw will finally drop and everything makes sense.
Absolutely a must read!

Blake is abruptly fired from his VP of marketing job and is unable to make his mortgage payments. Here comes the new roommate, Whitney. Then weird things are beginning to happen. The neighbors are treating him differently. There are horrible smells. Is it too late to get rid of the new tenant?

FREIDA IS BACK! This one is so twisty that I didn’t get a single prediction correct. And of course the final chapter shocker!

Thank you to Freida McFadden, Poisoned Pen Press and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Freida did it again! This book is beyond brilliant and keeps you at the edge of your seat. I had it finished in one sitting. The twists and turns in the book keep you questioning everything. Very fast and easy read.

Taking on a tenant seems like a great way to help make ends meet when times are tough, or so Blake thought. Is the extra money worth the headache that comes with it?

Enjoyed another ride on the McFadden coaster! This one had a few different elements than usual book and the buildup was more of a slow burn. We got deeper into Blake’s thoughts while the story unraveled, which I appreciated. This was a male POV, which was new for Freida! I still found myself turning page after page. I enjoyed the lead up to the big twist (I had a strong suspicion of what it was), but still enjoyed it nonetheless.

And in true Freida fashion, it’ll keep you guessing until the last page!

Thanks to the publisher and the author for the ARC!

LOVED IT!!

Meet Porter and Krita. He loses his job, and he and his fiancee find themselves needing a tenant to help pay the mortgage. Meet Whitney. She's the ideal tenant, great on paper, the perfect tenant....or is she?!

Love Freida's books. Read them all. This was another very fast-paced page turner filled with twists, turns, and, of course, the ending!

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen for the ARC.

This book was absolutely amazing. I did not expect what happened to happen. It had me on the edge of my seat. The whole entire time this is definitely a five star read I could not guess the ending the twist was absolutely amazing

Freida McFadden's The Tenant is a fun addition to her collection. I liked that this one was told from the pov of the male character Blake Porter. Blake's voice is engaging and often humorous, providing a lighthearted take on situations that are otherwise tense and serious.

The novel is filled with unexpected twists that kept me guessing throughout. Freida had me fooled with this one, which is a big plus for me. Her ability to blend humor with suspense is a hallmark of her writing.

As always, McFadden's style is accessible and binge-worthy, making it easy to get lost in the story. I can always rely on her books to pull me out of a reading slump, and The Tenant is no exception.

Thank you to Poisoned Pen Press and NetGalley for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review. I’m giving this one 4 ½ stars, rounded up!
