Anna Riggs, fresh out of high school, inherits an old Victorian house in Apalachicola, Florida and goes there with her archeologist father to rehab it so she can sell it to help her pay for college. She hears that everyone in town thinks it's haunted, and sure enough, she starts experiencing some odd things herself. In fact, she ends up meeting the ghost, Wyatt, and develops feelings for him. To complicate matters, she also meets a flesh and blood guy from town, Eric, who quickly falls in serious like with her.

I thought the characters were all likeable, but I didn't really get excited about either Anna with Wyatt or Anna with Eric. The story started out interesting, but after a while, I just wanted Anna to pick someone, anyone, because it started dragging. I thought it would be spooky, being a ghost story and everything, but it just wasn't. I feel like there was potential there that just wasn't realized.

3/5 stars.

The idea behind this book should have drawn me in. It has your spooky parts, a love triangle with a ghost, but the narrator was supposed to be 17 but it sure didn't sound like it.

Sadly this book did not quite work for me. There were parts I enjoyed that were well written, but I felt it needed a bit more work. There is definitely a lot of potential there, so I hope the author continues to write more in the future. 2.5 stars.
