This is a good 3.5 for me. I don’t get the name, it’s not a funny book? Ash seems to be devoid of personality as well as a soul but the story was good and I enjoyed listening! Thank you NetGalley for letting me listen and review!

“My Funny Demon Valentine” is a cute and spicy paranormal romance about Asmodeus (Ash), a demon prince who escapes Hell with his brothers and meets Evangeline (Eva), a violinist who can see through his curse. The chemistry between Eva and Ash is undeniable, and their romance is engaging from the moment they meet. The funny banter between Ash and his brothers adds to the entertainment. Eva, an average human who works at a jazz bar, finds herself caught in a supernatural whirlwind when she sees Ash transform into a monster. The story is filled with humor, steam, and heartwarming moments as Eva and Ash navigate their relationship and the secrets they both hold.

I ended up DNFing this book at 17%. I was not a fan of the writing style, or any of the characters. I saw so many reviews online gushing about the MMC and his brothers, I was unimpressed.
Ash (our MMC) is a demon who’s escaped from hell, cool. Sexy. Why does he talk to our FMC like an embarrassed middle school boy? “You want to talk to me?” Is something that Ash says, ew. The banter between him and his brothers again is very middle school.
Our FMC is not much better, she ends up seeing Ash’s true demon form. She then calls her mom and tells her mom she met a guy, but he might be a demon and the mom’s answer to give him the 3rd degree over dinner. Oh yeah this conversation happens while her mom and dad are in the middle of a nude photo shoot.
Which leads to our 1st sex scene, where the middle school vibes only get stronger with our FMC not sure if she’s climaxed or not and wanting to rub our MMC’s member all over herself. Not to be an adult about it our MMC doesn’t know how to open a bra. Between the child like behavior of our MCs and the general juvenile writing style of the author the sex scene was giving me the ick.

This was an interesting love story. They meet at a jazz bar and through their shared love of music fall for each other. I enjoyed the twists. Asch and Eva are both trying to navigate through new and exciting things in love. This is a hea, paranormal romance.

Surprisingly funny, expectedly spicy, and brilliantly action packed. I absolutely loved getting to know this bunch of characters and peeling back the layers of their lives, powers, and connections. Watching a demon fall for a girl after escaping Hell to live on earth? Brilliant. All of that whilst undercurrents of secrets are being unravelling, and a band of “brothers” are taking the mick out of the couple? Excellent. I’d recommend this to anybody who loves a supernatural twist on a rom-com.

This was a really fun paranormal dual POV romance between Ash, a cursed demon and one of four Princes of Hell, who escapes the demon realm to try to find freedom on Earth with his brothers. Looking to live an unassuming life as a musician, Ash wasn't expecting to fall for Eva, an violinist who has secrets of her own and is the one woman who can see Ash for who he really is. Spicy, suspenseful and full of family secrets, this was a great start to a new series that is sure to appeal to fans of authors like Jenna Levine, Kimberly Lemming or Brynne Weaver. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review! The narration by Kirsten Leigh was also impressive as she does a great job voicing a full cast of characters in unique and distinctive ways that makes it easy to distinguish between them all. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on book 2 in the series stat!

An amazing book! I can't wait to read the next one. All of then are on my list!
The narrator did an fantastic job as well

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced listener copy of My Funny Demon Valentine! Due to my own personal reading tastes, I decided to dnf this book at the 33% mark.
I was very intrigued by the back cover copy—a “funny, warm-hearted” twist on the paranormal romance genre? Yes, please! Unfortunately, the execution didn’t work for me. The tone is darker and cruder than I expected, and the prose isn’t aligned with my sense of humor. Even when it became clear that the vibes were darker and the hero more morally-gray, I wasn’t entirely opposed. However, some of the actions, words, and thoughts of the hero and his brothers (particularly surrounding women and sex) left me personally feeling uncomfortable. I do not believe I am the target audience for this particular paranormal romance.

I was intrigued by the idea of a paranormal romance with a dark, seductive edge, but this one just didn’t work for me. The premise had potential, but the execution fell flat— the writing felt sophomoric, and the spicy content was unimaginative.
As an older female reader, I don’t think I was the target demographic, which likely played a role in my lack of connection to the story. Ultimately, I decided to DNF.
Thank you to the author, RBmedia and NetGalley for the chance to listen to this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This book was both cute and hilarious. I could not stop reading. If you’re a fan of the glimmer falls series you will love this one. I can’t wait to read the other brothers stories!!

this was a fun read. A new to me take on demons. It felt sort of silly, like a sitcom but I was there for Ash and his brothers. I will be continuing as the audios release.

Eva is just an average human who plays violins at bar gigs when she meets four demons. One of these demons is Ash who transforms into a 7 foot tall red horned monster with wings. This book is a wild ride with a lot going on. It is very fun and I'm excited to read about the other demons in this series.

Funny and cute. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series. The narrator was really engaging.

I love a good demon/monster romance, so I ate this up in less than a day!
If you liked the Duskwalker Brides series by Opal Reyne, you’ll enjoy this one too!
There’s just something about “this creature who is bread to be uncaring and evil, is now in love and not understanding these feelings” trope that I love! 😂
I’m very interested in reading the rest of the series and will definitely be recommending this book to my friends!

This was so much fun to read and I enjoyed it alot. Thanks to Recorded Books for the ALC for an honest review. The audiobook was done well and the narrator voiced the characters well. The book is in 3rd person and I think the narrator did a good job in having distinct voices for the povs that were there.
This book follows a cursed demon and a human who instantly falls for him after her music performance. The demon mmc is surprised that the fmccan see him and is also attracted to him since most people cant. There is an explosion at the club which leads to the merging of both worlds as they are looking for the mmc and his brothers.
This was such a fun paranormal romance and its just a good time. I liked this authors take on demons, fallen angels, demon hunters etc and I thought the plot was silly, steamy and a perfect paranormal romcom. Definetly recommend and I cant wait to read the next.

This book was so stinking cute. I loved the banter between the four demon brothers as well as the banter between Ash and Eva. I loved how Eva was the only one who could really see Ash for who and what he was behind his curse and in turn he only had eyes for her. I already know this world is going to be so much fun and I can’t wait to see where it goes.
Kirsten did such a great job on this narration! It is solo narration which I typically don’t prefer but since it was written in third person and the “pov” hops around a bit, I didn’t mind it and I think she performed it really well.
