Bailey Hannah, she did it again. I more than loved the first two books and this one is no exception! The characters are amazing and I loved to see the other characters, to see them growing. The story itself is engaging, and I really appreciated how it was written, especially the dual timelines, which added so much depth to the narrative.
I can't wait for the next one, I need it now!!!

This second chance romance between Blair and Denny is the third book in the Wells Ranch series. Bailey Hannah does a really great job of storytelling their romance through the lens of both characters from the past and present, which I really liked. I am not sure if this book lacked something from the others, or if it has just been a little bit and it didn't have quite the same impact that the first two had, but I wasn't as hooked with this one. I still loved the book, but I don't know if I plan on reading the next book. Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read this early for unbiased feedback.

I have been waiting for the opportunity to return to Wells Ranch and Denny & Blair’s story was everything I hoped it would be. What a beautiful story of young love, real life obstacles and finding your way back to each other despite all odds. Those that know me know that second chance is so near and dear to my heart - the “always been you” hits me right in the feels.

This story is dual timeline - so you get to see how their relationship evolved as kids, what broke them up and all the hard life lessons learned along the way. There are some very heavy topics covered in this one, so make sure to check the trigger warnings and take care.

I loved getting more insight into the Wells family dynamic through the flashbacks. Plus we get lots of cameos from our faves from the first two books 💙

Change of Hart delivers all the pining, nostalgia and emotions that comes from learning to love someone again. And boy oh boy to Denver & Blair love each other. This book made me laugh, swoon and well up - any story that accomplishes all that is a winner in my book.

I am a forever Bailey Hannah fan and am so excited to continue the series later this year 🫶

Thank you to Dell, NetGalley, and Bailey Hannah for the opportunity to read this early.

Bailey Hannah is my new favorite small town/cowboy romance author. I have loved every book in this series. While second chance is my least favorite trope, I loved the dual timelines we got that gave us insight into the past with Denver and Blair. It made the second chance worth experiencing. I loved getting to see their friendship blossom from the beginning.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for an ARC of this.

I absolutely adored this book and I devoured it in one sitting. I genuinely could not put it down!!! I think this has now just become my favorite book in the series and Denver and Blair one my favorite couples!! They can do no harm in my eyes. They are just my precious babies and they got the epilogue that they deserved and honestly, I could’ve kept reading more about them because that’s just how much I love them. Bailey was cooking when she wrote this one because I ATE IT UP! Denver and Blair have a second chance romance and those aren’t my favorite, but this one was done beautifully. No miscommunication trope, no third act break up, just done beautifully. Denver and Blair have know each other since they were kids and dated back in high school but broke it off when Blair left for college. There was more to the break up, but you have to keep reading for that. The story is also told in the past and the present. The past gives you a better understanding of why Denver and Blair are no longer together and what went down. They are reunited when Blair moves back to Wells Canyon due to some family troubles. From there it becomes a push and pull for a relationship between the two. They have all of this past between, but are some things better in the past or could they be greater in the present? Absolutely adored this book and could read more about this couple!!

I'm not sure what Bailey put in this book but I ATE IT UP! Denver and Blair were in a relationship back in high school but broke it off when Blair left for college, and they're reunited when Blair moves back to Wells Canyon due to some family troubles. From the chapters back when Denver and Blair were teenagers to the current timeline, I was giggling kicking my feet but also crying and sometimes laughing alongside the characters in the book.

Denver is probably one of my all-time favorite cowboys from the Wells Ranch series (possibly even bumping Austin "not a cowboy" Wells out of number one position), and to see how much he cared for and loved Blair and his family from cover to cover made my heart melt! He's definitely a family man, and I enjoyed getting to see him shine through how he cared for his brothers, sisters-in-law, and even how he treated Blair's mother (legitimately had me crying a few times!)

And Blair. My amazing, intelligent, beautiful Blair. I loved her from cover to cover. She was holding her own and sticking up for herself and being her own person while also letting Denver in and getting to know her ex-boyfriend once more. From letting go of a nice career in the city to moving back to her childhood home (she's just like me!!), she was exactly who I pictured from her appearances in the first two books.

Denny and Blair's relationship was so fun to read! From Blair's stance on Denny at the start of the book to Denny's clear pining and adoration for his ex-girlfriend, I was rooting for them the entire time. The sweet moments, the dates, and comforting, THE CARETAKING!!! I loved it I need to find myself a man like Denver Wells.

This book was everything I wanted it to be and more, and I will be shouting from the rooftops that everyone who needs a second-chance, dual-timeline, cowboy romance NEEDS to pick this book up!

Thank you to Dell Romance for the physical and digital ARCs and finished copy!

4.5 Stars!

This is my favorite book in the Wells Ranch series thus far. Blair and Denver's second chance romance was written so well. I loved the dual POV, as well as the dual timeline that fills in the backstory of how everything fell apart. This book gave me all the feels.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dell for the eARC of this book.

📝 Synopsis:
Blair Hart returns to Wells Canyon after years away, forced back by her mother’s illness—and straight into the orbit of Denver Wells, the cowboy who broke her heart. He’s still working the family cattle ranch, still doing all the cowboy things—and still calling her Bear like no time has passed. But it’ll take more than charm and old memories to fix what was broken. With a messy past, lingering feelings, and a whole lot of heat between them, these two have to decide if love is worth the risk again.

💭 My thoughts:
I truly enjoyed reading Denver and Blair’s story. The dual timeline was perfect for helping me understand the depth of their relationship—from when they were just 13 and inseparable, to the heartbreak at 18 that tore them apart. They were each other’s first everything, and despite the years apart (14 to be exact!), that love was still very much alive.

Denver has been working the family cattle ranch, doing all the cowboy things, and yes—he still calls her Bear 🥹. Blair, now a nurse practitioner, has returned with a lot on her shoulders. Their breakup stemmed from grief, miscommunication, and life just being too heavy when they were too young. Denver didn’t fight for them back then—and while I understood why (he lost his mom), it still hurt. But now? He’s not wasting the second chance he’s been given.

What I loved most was how they didn’t just fall back into old habits. They took the time to really reconnect. The way Denver showed up for her, the little things he did then and now, melted my heart. Their 5-second truth game, their banter, their text exchanges—it was all so cute and heartfelt. And Blair? She had to learn that it’s okay to ask for help. People can’t show up for you if they don’t know you need them.

I’m not usually a huge second chance fan, but this one worked. Their growth was real, the chemistry was explosive, and their love felt inevitable. Denver’s past ways may not have been ideal, but now he’s all in, and I respected that.

And the spice? Denver’s got a filthy mouth on him 😏 but Blair absolutely kept up—she surprised me in the best way. The chemistry was 🔥🔥🔥 and I loved every minute of it.

Also, it made me so happy to see glimpses of Austin & Cecilia, Red & Cassidy, and sweet baby Hazel! 🥰
This was such a beautiful, heartfelt addition to the Wells Ranch series. Thank you to NetGalley and Bailey Hannah for the ARC. This is my honest review.

Bailey Hannah knows how to take my heart out, rip it up, and put it back together. Denver is now officially my new favorite book boyfriend. Going to try to avoid spoilers because it’s so darn good…

The spice was NEXT LEVEL and beautifully written, but that’s to be expected from Bailey Hannah. Anytime a spicy scene occurs, it has a reason. It’s not spice for the sake of spice, which I adore. I give it 3.5 chili peppers. I’d say 4 but ice cream is so cold…

Bailey Hannah has a way of writing a love story, and inspiring those who believe love may never come. Those that were told that love at 18 wasn’t real. Those that have been so incredibly hurt, that they think love isn’t in the cards. (Me… I’m one of those)

Denver is so full of love and I enjoyed reading his growth throughout the book (pun fully intended). The banter is perfection from the very first re-meet-cute. Is that a term? Idk. It is now.

As an overachieving ex-perfectionist, Blair’s personality and story resonated with me. The way she cares for her mom, friends, and literally everyone around her while putting her all needs on the back burner made me look at how I care for myself. Throughout the book, Blair has a tendency to put everyone’s happiness before her own. Seeing grow to trust someone who broke her heart at such a young age was healing for me.

Last, but certainly not least, Denver can buy me ice cream any day. Preferably, Neapolitan.

Change of Hart is the third book of the Wells Ranch series of interconnected standalones. This one was such an emotional read and really hit home with the Alzheimer’s storyline. It was hard to read about but also relatable. You can tell that Blair and Denver were meant to be together. I loved the chapters from their past and really getting a look at how good of friends they were. This was the best second chance romance that I’ve ever read and I loved watching these two find their way back to each other. It was truly beautiful!

I have been patiently waiting for Denver's story and Change of Hart was everything I didn't know I needed. I love a second chance romance when it's done well and this one was perfect. As always the character development was wonderful. The amount of tears I cried could have filled a lake. The parts describing what Blair was going through with her mom were especially well crafted. I highly recommend this book.

ARC Review——

Ok let me start off by saying, I’m usually not a huge fan or duel timeline. I LOVE second chance, but usually, for me, I find duel timeline a taaaad boring. That was NOT the case for Change of Hart. Bailey Hannah may have just wrote my absolute favorite duel timeline book I’ve ever read. The way she was able to depict Denny and Blair’s childhood love was so well done and how they truly grew from friends to lovers. Ugh so good. Then the grief rep with both Denny and Blair was raw and real and I found myself bawling my eyes out because I could feel their emotions so vividly. Bailey Hannah sure knows how to write a down bad cowboy and strong, self aware female main characters that make you keep coming back for more, and I can’t freakin wait for the next one. ❤️

Thank you Netgally, Bailey Hannah and Random House Publishing group for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Thank you so much to Netgalley, Dell Romance, and Bailey Hannah for gifting me an eARC of this book! I'm a big lover of the Wells Ranch series and was so excited to read this book early.

Read if you like:-
- Cowboy Romance series (Book #3 in series)
- Dual timeline
- Second Chance romance
- Forced proximity

I was hooked from the dedication & enjoyed every moment of this spicy second chance cowboy romance!! With the dual timeline we got to truly experience everything that occurred with Blair and Denver throughout the course of their relationship. While I of course enjoyed the spice that occurs (there is something I'm still SCREAMING about but I don't want to spoil what it is & just let you enjoy it when you get there!!) this book has so much more to it. Change of Hart absolutely wrecked me, had me in tears, and then put me back together again!! This is my favorite of the series so far and I can't wait for my preorder to arrive so Denver can be sitting pretty on my shelf!!

Thank you to Bailey Hannah and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this as an advanced reader in exchange for an honest review.

Buckle up friends, because this is my favorite book Bailey Hannah has written to date. She added a lot of depth to the characters along with an emotional plot that tugged at my heartstrings. I really enjoyed how she wrote the dual timeline, it flowed throughout the book and aided in understanding the conflict between the two main characters. I can honestly say this is my favorite second-chance romance I've read. It felt organic and realistic, and I wanted a HEA as much as the MC's did. I also appreciated the representation of mental health and grief; it's a very different vibe from the previous book in the series. I absolutely recommend this one!

What to expect in Change of Hart:
-Childhood sweethearts that have a traumatic breakup at 18, and lose contact for over a decade
-Dual timeline
-Second chance romance
-Cowboy romance
-Mental health/grief representation

Bailey Hannah- girl... damn! 2nd chance romance is always god tier for me & I cried so many times reading this book! UGGHHHH!! When "Good boy" & making him crawl dropped, I was a puddle. The emotions in this book made me feel so deeply I physically was hurting. SOOO GOOD!!!

I was so excited to be given the opportunity to get an ARC of this after having read the first two, and this one I have to say is my favorite so far 🥹

This book follows Denver and Blair, and their second chance at the future they thought they would have as teenagers in love. Blair’s mom is suffering from early onset Alzheimer’s, so she ends up moving back to Wells Canyon despite never wanting to come back. Denver sees her at a rodeo and ends up falling off the horse, but then makes it his mission that he’s going to do all he can to win her back.

There’s all the emotions in this book, but it is written so perfectly well 😭 one moment you’re laughing at their banter and then get hit with the vulnerability of them opening up to each other and talking about their past.

I think the journey of why they broke apart as teens was very realistic and it pulled at my heart strings. Not only that, but the way that Blair dealt with it all and after math of what she now deals with as an adult. I appreciated the careful way in which mental health was discussed in this and could related to Blair a lot.

Denver has made it to top ten book boyfriend this year! He was so sweet the whole time, and his golden retriever energy just had me kicking my feet. Despite everything he’d gone through and all the people he lost, he had the best outlook on life and how he wanted to tell everyone he loved that he was there for them and loved them. I loved the way he supported Blair and was there for her to show her she could rely on him.

This book was so good! We’re a little less than a week away from release day, but I truly recommend picking it up when it’s out May 27! And the rest of the series as well ❤️

tropes we have:
- second chance (14 yrs later)
- he takes care of her when she gets hurt
- SHE MAKES HIM CRAWL!!!
- dual pov 💋💋
- childhood friends hehehheheheh
- mental health rep!
- flashbacks hehehehe

denver & blair were meant to find each other again, & im so glad they did. he took one look at her (once again 14 yrs later) and just knew. he knew he would do anything & everything he could to get her back. & i really loved the flashback povs!! you could FEEL the love between them.

i really like denver’s personality. he is such a goofy, funny golden retriever man & so darn sweet and kind. i love me a hardworking man & denver sure does fit the bill. he loves taking care of her 😩 HE IS SO CHARMING. i LOVE that he was so confident in them getting married bc it’s all he talked about and i SWOONED. of course not even fictional men are perfect.. he was a playboy but he stopped that QUICK after just one look at our girl blair 🤭

blair is me: independent to a fault & so stubborn but when she does it it’s cute hehehe. it takes her a while to believe he’s being truthful bc tbh he’s a playboy & she’s heard all about it. she’s stronger than me i would have folded SO FAST. anyway i loved her!!!! she deserves the world & to have someone always take care of her!!!!

in conclusion: would recommend yall should definitely read. thank you to the publisher for providing this book for review via netgalley. all opinions are my own <3

What I love most about second chance romances is the history the two main characters have with one another and Change of Hart had that. Bailey gave us dual timelines in this one and I felt like it brought so much to the story and to these characters. She also writes very emotional stories and this one had me tearing up a time or two! But Denver Wells.. that man!! So good!!

Denver and Blair deserved this HEA!! They seriously went through so much to get here but I felt like they appreciated each other so much more because of it. I really enjoyed how much Denver loved Blair! That man would stop at nothing to get her back!! The angst and banter between Denver and Blair was everything!! And the SPICE?!! Lets just say ice cream was involved and I was here for it! haha. This is a true "always been you" story and really enjoyed the journey these two went on!

-Childhood Friend/ High School Sweethearts

Change of Hart by Bailey Hannah

This book ripped my heart out and put it carefully back together again. I loved the dual timeline throughout the story and getting to see teen Blair and Denver fall in love. It’s like getting to read two love stories in one. There’s not a single character in Wells Canyon that I have a single negative thing to say about, I’m just absolutely loving all of them and their stories.

If you're looking for an amazing second chance romance book with lots of emotion, spice and fun banter - this is the book for you. Denver Wells will change your life in the best way possible. I fell so hard for him from the very beginning. He is just the cutest little cutie pie, and I want to keep him in my pocket for all times. I absolutely loved the relationship between Denver and Blair, especially how the two of them found their way back to each other. There were some truly gut-wrenching moments in this book and my heart broke for these characters more than once, but thankfully Bailey put it back together and tied it up with a little bow.

Denny was SO in love with Blair, and I loved how he was determined to get her back. The little things he did for her and her family throughout the book were so sweet.

This story was so incredibly sweet, and I am so grateful to have been given an ARC of this book!
