This book was a masterpiece in second chance love. To follow the dual timeline and watch their love begin as teenagers and to watch it fall apart just to see them come back together as adults was healing and the redemption of their past was beautifully done 🥹

It’s hard to carry the hurt of young love and still place that blame on the adult they become - and the way Bailey writes it takes you along for the ride. Watching Denver stop everything and only have eyes for Blair once she was back was everything. I mean literally EVERYTHING. . . there was never anyone else and he proved it over and over again. It was in the way he watched her, in the moments he showed up for her, in her most vulnerable moments where he didn’t judge her. The absolute beauty of a man that just continues to show up for the woman he loves; and how as an adult he understands where he fucked up the first time. But don’t we all at 18 🤷🏼‍♀️

I love how complicated Blair’s life had become and how she tried so hard to move on knowing that all she wanted was Denny and Wells Ranch; that it’s the place where her soul was the most at peace. Watching a strong, smart, independent woman be honest with herself about what she wants was phenomenal. Where we look at the thing we worked hard for and thought we wanted aren’t actually what makes us happy. And we’ve all been in a place where we question if our heart and our head are on the same page and how frustrating it can be when they aren’t.

Bailey continues to make Wells Canyon one of my favorite places to visit and Blair and Denver made my trip so worth it 🤍

Again Bailey Hannah fucking SLAPS the shit out of me with a man I would move to Canada for… Just when you think she can’t top Aus, then Red, now Denny I mean come on!

The things I loved: the dual timeline and dual POV, getting to learn more about the Wells boys’ mom and how amazing she was, seeing Kate arrive in their lives, and getting to see all the ladies together! I loved Blair and Cassidy’s friendship!

The things that KILLED ME: Denny crawling 🥵, the way he refused to give up on his love for her, and how loud his love was once he had her back!! I know what it’s like to not want to ask for help, and Blair’s growth to let him back in was *everything*!!!

I literally couldn't imagine this story being any better than it was. Bailey completely outdid herself with Blair and Denny. This book was the most amazing childhood friends to lovers, second chance romance I ever could have asked for. I've been in love with Denny since he first showed up in Austin's book and I was SO excited when NetGalley sent me the approval for this ARC. I wish I could give them an infinite amount of stars.

They fell in love so young and were ready to face the world together. But when one decision pushes them apart, Blair avoids Denny any time she comes back to town. And Denny never truly moves on, and turns to being a player instead. But when Blair moves back home, Denver falls off his horse (in typical Denny fashion) and he's willing to do anything to get her to stay this time. He isn't willing to let her get away.

These two are the definition of perfect for each other. The love they feel for each other is undeniable. I couldn't put the book down, but I wasn't ready for it to end. I could read about their entire lives together and be perfectly content. The dual timeline both broke me, and made me swoon.

I swear this is the best in the series and I know it'll only get better from here.

Change of Hart is Bailey Hannah’s best book yet. I’m not usually a huge enjoyer of second chance romances, but I thought this one was executed just as well as one might be. The flashbacks detailing Blair and Denver’s relationship were so sweet, and when they culminate in their original romance’s ending I didn’t overly blame one character for it or find one of their actions unforgivable. You could understand both sides and empathize.

Denver in the present timeline is such a good male lead. He decides pretty much as soon as he sees Blair again that he’s going to go for his second chance and he treats her so well. There wasn’t a moment where I was irritated with his behavior. His love for Blair was so evident and I was rooting for him the whole way through. My small nitpick is that his family kind of treated him like he was an untrustworthy screwup and Blair was also untrusting of him to a degree for a while in a way that I don’t think he earned, even by the end of the flashbacks. That wasn’t a huge detractor for me at all though.

Bailey Hannah really managed to make me believe these two characters were meant to be in this book and it was just a very romantic read. I’ll definitely be tuned in for whatever comes next from her!

I absolutely adored this book. This is the 4th book I've read by this author. Each character has such a rich and thought-out back story and personality. I love the dialogue. I have never been more excited to receive an ARC!

My first Bailey Hannah read and I can say without a doubt she’s a new fav author! She makes you fall for the characters right off the bat.
There’s nothing I love more than a dual timeline friends to lovers trope. I mean I literally LOVE them. Reading about their childhood and how they just decided they loved each other in such a pure way. Literally shut up. Then reading the now section and seeing how far apart they are. It’s excruciating and you literally feel that through the page. You can also feel the love they have for each other through the page. I’m unsure of how but her writing is phenomenal to make you feel so much about the characters!🥹

Blair Hart finds herself moving back to her hometown that she swore to not return to. She comes back with her priorities in line, 1. Take care of her mom., 2. Try to avoid her highschool love at all costs. The latter is harder than expected since her best friend lives on his ranch.
Denver Wells, the handsome rodeo boy who had dimples when he smiled. That smile made Blair fall hard when they were 13. But now they’re practically strangers due to their time apart.
They make a deal to be friends to make things easier and not as awkward. They find themselves enjoying the friendship like old times, as long as they don’t cross that line again.
Can this be a “light in the dark” moment for them? Or will the past be their ultimate undoing?

I absolutely loved the side characters so you bet your booty I’m getting the rereleases here soon! Also never stop writing cowboys please😭 I loved the scenes with his brothers on horseback in their element. It was so precious.

Bailey Hannah’s writing keeps getting better and better!

Blair Hart has no choice but to return to her hometown of Wells Canyon in order to help tend to her sick mother. She’s avoided the small town for one reason: Denver Wells, her best friend turned childhood sweetheart. He wants her back, but their messy history along with Blair’s newfound duties means getting her back will take some convincing. Luckily, Denver is willing to do whatever it takes.

I was so excited to return to Wells Canyon, and seeing as each of Hannah’s books keeps getting better, I had high hopes for this one. And wow, it exceeded my expectations to the fullest! As soon as I read it was a second chance romance with a dual timeline, I knew I would devour this! Their story was flawlessly done, although I love the trope; it's hardly ever done right. Both Denny and Blair had gone through so much in their time together and apart. No matter how much time had passed, they understood each other and always loved one another. These two mean the world to me, and they will definitely live rent-free in my mind.

Blair is my new all-time favorite character in this series! With all the challenges she faces, she refuses to give up! I loved her independent streak, even when it wasn't the best thing for her. She encapsulated first daughter syndrome in every single way, always putting everyone’s needs above her own. Seeing her heal and find her footing back in Wells Canyon was such a rewarding journey.

Denver was everything Blair needed! It was so refreshing to read about a somewhat goofy cowboy head over heels in love and willing to do anything to get the girl in the process. While everyone relied on Blair, he worked to take some of the load off her shoulders and make sure she was cared for. Denny had all the characteristics of my favorite MMCs all wrapped into one.

This book solidified that if Bailey Hannah writes it, I’m going to read it. I cried and laughed throughout the whole book.

Why I finished it: This is a great book for someone else. For my part, there were too many flashbacks and they resolved their main issue without talking about it. Don't get me wrong, they talked about their reactions to the main issue and to each other but did not talk about the main issue. Five seconds of honesty: Second chance romances aren't my favorite, this one dragged a little but your results may vary...

Okay I’m sorry but this book was HOT! WOW! I am a complete sucker for these cowboy spicy books lately, Maybe it’s the Midwest winter getting to me, but this was hot from the minute it started to the explosion ending! Loved it!

5 seconds of honesty: I don’t want to spoil this book for you. But if you like second chance romance and childhood friends to lovers tropes, you will like this book!
Denver and Blair. Finding your soulmate at thirteen years old..where is the fun in that?! They loved each other so much. So perfect for each other and then, just like that, they lost it all. Two half souls floating through life for 14 years. Until they collided again and fought their way to each other. So heartbreaking, yet heartwarming.

This second-chance romance will captivate you from start to finish. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down. Bailey Hannah excels at handling heavy, emotional topics, and Change of Hart is no exception. The story follows Denver and Blair, who were once deeply in love as teenagers. However, after the tragic loss of Denver’s mother and other life-altering events, the couple drifted apart. Their journey of healing, growth, and finding their way back to each other is nothing short of beautiful. Hannah’s ability to weave a story of love, loss, and second chances makes this an unforgettable read.

Denver Wells is DOWN BAD for his high school sweetheart Blair Hart. Blair returns to Wells Canyon after 14 years to help care for her ill mother. Denver’s world stops as soon as he catches a glimpse of his first love back in town after thirteen years, and with that stops his playboy actions. Denny will do just about anything to show Blair he’s committed to gaining her trust and her heart back.

If your love language is acts of service, you’ll love this second chance romance. Even after everything that happened between them (good and bad), I can how they would find their way back each other. I do wish there was a little more tension between them. It felt like she gave in too easily, but I guess that just shows that she never really got over him.

The dual timeline was a nice surprise! I usually prefer shorter chapters for the past scenes but I enjoyed learning about their younger selves and their connection. Though that last flashback when at the Christmas Parade really didn’t sit well.

I loved that as they reconnected and started progressing their relationship, the spicy got spicier. It really displayed the growth and trust built between them in the present. Denver is a very good boy for Blair and he truly had the filthiest mouth. And surprisingly, Blair does, too!

This was a high anticipated read for me as Seeing Red was one of my favorite reads of 2024. It exceeded my expectations! If you are sensitive to certain topics, make sure to read the Content Warnings.

I feel like this series is just getting better and better. You can tell that Bailey is getting her groove in this world and with these characters. This is the best in my opinion (so far). I have said it before, and I will say it again. Second change. Gets me. EVERY TIME. We got hints of the magnitude of Denver and Blair throughout Seeing Red, but reading their story was just sooo good. As much as it pains me to see where things went off the rails, I do love a good dual POV AND dual timeline. This had both. We finally get to hear inside of Blair's head. She is having to move home to help with her family. This is a place that she has been avoiding for almost 15 years because of the amount of heartache it brings her. And then we have Denver who likes to play the field. He is the fun one in the group- always smiling and trying to be the life of the party. I LOVED reading about him seeing Blair for the first time and how from then on his whole focus was her and proving to her that he is a different man than when they were 18 and everything fell apartment. THIS MAN YALL. Denver was such a softy. He knew the things that made Blair smile. He was a safe place for her to land. He wanted to help her with the load she was carrying. The other thing I love about second chance is reading that the feelings have never gone away. I really liked reading about Blair's walls coming down. I also liked that she tried to hold out but could only do so much against the man she never stopped loving. I really enjoyed the delicacy to which Bailey handled all of the heavier topics in this one. There are some heavy ones- but in discussing them it gave us a bigger picture of both of these characters.

Blair has made the decision to put her life on hold in Vancouver to come home and help her family. This is a place she dreads coming to not because of her family but because of her past. Specifically Denver Wells. They were everything to each other through some really tough times until they crashed and burned. Unfortunately Blair knows exactly how Denver has been spending his time which doesn't bode well for him when he starts to try to rekindle what they had. Friends. That is what they can be. No more. She can't let him. She doesn't know if he will stay. But man is he determined to prove her wrong. Because the man is showing up for her even when she isn't asking him to. He isn't judging her for where she is with her life now. He just wants to be a part of it. And the more they are around each other the more Blair feels her walls coming down. The more she realizes she has been fooling herself this whole time if she thought she would be able to be with anyone but Denver. He supports her unlike he ever did before. The question is will she be able to trust him when he says he is committed to them? That he wants the future they discussed when they were younger?

Denver enjoys his life. No strings. Just fun. That has been his motto since his heart moved to Vancouver 15 years ago. But then he sees her again. And it is like seeing the sun for the first time after a storm. He has one new goal now- to win Blair back over. To show her that he isn't the man he was before when they were younger. He can be what she needs. He can be what they both need. He decides that he will wait as long as it takes because though he has been playing the field for a long time he has never been in it. So when Blair says they can be friends. He takes it. When she starts to lean on him for things, he takes on more to help with the load she is carrying. He slowly starts to see her walls come down and man is he ready. He has known since he saw her again and has been waiting for her to catch up. And though he can see she still doesn't fully trust him- he can see it's only a matter of time. He just has to remind her of what they had.

UGH these characters!! Denver was the ultimate cinnamon roll MC. Just cushy and gooey and warm in the center. And he worked sooo hard to get Blair to see what they could be together. I loved the spice in this one- the way that they had to relearn and even learn things about each other was super cute. I loved being able to learn more about the "elder" Wells- Bennett and Lucy. I loved watching Blair give herself space to FEEL things- things she had been shoving down for a while. This was a book about healing for both characters. About finding your person even if it takes some work. About finding home in someone. I can't WAIT to see where else this series takes us. If you haven't picked it up yet- do it. You won't regret it!

This book blew me away. If I could give it over 5 stars, I would. The emotional journey was so intense, the time jumps were executed *perfectly*. The tension was amazing, and the spice was so well written.

One thing I really appreciated about this book, as a second chance romance, was it made sense why the characters had broken up in the past. In the present, they were able to discuss and work through the issues with such maturity.

I have been a ride or die fan of Bailey’s since book 1 and this is now my favourite of the three!

This romance novel is a tender and deeply emotional journey that captures the beauty of love, growth, and resilience. The author’s writing has grown, showcasing a refined balance of heartfelt storytelling and genuine emotion. The characters are richly developed, with remarkable depth that makes their struggles and triumphs feel incredibly real.

Pro tip - Before diving into this ultra swoony, mega heartwarming second chance romance, it’s best to come prepared by securing the essentials. I’m talking boxes of tissues (yes, plural to be safe), your coziest comfort blanket, and a big ol' tub of your favorite ice cream. Zero judgment if Neapolitan and/or walnuts are involved… iykyk 😂 But don’t fret! Though the odds of shedding a tear or 200 are fairly high with this one (both happy and sad tears), you’re sure to come out of it with cartoony heart eyes and a full heart. And oh my word, is my heart fit to freaking burst!

Change of Hart, book three in Bailey Hannah’s Wells Ranch series, is a work of freaking art. This emotional tale of modern-day soul mates and second chances moved me in a way that took me by complete surprise. Pain and loss, growth and healing, acceptance and love. In just a few hundred pages, Bailey shares a love so real, a love so pure, a love that consumed me in a way I won’t soon forget 😭🫶

Serious question. Who fell harder? Blair and Denver for each other? Or me for Blair and Denver?? There’s just so much about this novel that I adored. From the well-developed and gripping backstories to the often unspoken but very real trials and obstacles, I quickly found myself enthralled. And the banter. The BANTER, oh my goodness! So playful and cheesy in the very best way! Blair and Denny often landed themselves in these back and forth volleys that had me grinning like mad. The deep, magnetic connection these two share is truly unmatched. What I would give for another epilogue or seven!

Another thing I really enjoyed was how the past/present timeline read so effortlessly. The placement of the flashbacks are woven into the present storyline in a strategic way that never once diverted or stalled my attention. Flashbacks in general aren’t my favorite, so this was a pleasant surprise!

Simply put, this book had me feral, awed, obsessed, absolutely wonderstruck from the very first page to the last. What an absolute honor to bear witness to such an unforgettable, monumental love story. Change of Hart changed me 🫶 This story. Blair and Denny. They’re everything.

this book was truly the most incredible, heartbreaking, healing journey of love and loss and reconnection.

getting to know Denver and Blair from the two previous books, I was so excited for their story, but absolutely nothing could have prepared me for this emotional rollercoaster LOL

I see so much of myself in Blair, I’m a fixer and very often (if not always) refuse help from anyone. now, I don’t have a sweet Denny that’s been in love with me for fourteen years, but her story does give me hope that my fears and independent nature are something I can work on to the point of being able to let someone in (idk we’ll see lol maybe someday)

reading the dual timeline in this, having to experience the heartbreak of losing Lucy, the gut-wrenching breakup between teenage Blair and Denny, and all of the things that these poor kids had to grapple with at such a young age, it’s so easy to just insert yourself there, to feel their pain with them.

Bailey’s books are always phenomenal, but this is her best yet. I love these two, and won’t be getting over them for a long time.

So I cried 57 times while reading this😭🥹 I need everyone to give me a minute OK?!?

I’m back and I finally stopped crying, but if I think too long about any part of this book, I’m sure I will fall apart. Second chance romance, just hits fucking different. I don’t know what to tell you.

Bailey will forever be one of my all-time favorite authors. I just love the way that she fully pulls me into a story. This one alternates between past and present (Denny and Blair date when they are teenagers and reunite over a decade later) and I loved seeing the Wells Ranch from 14 years ago, even though it broke my heart I didn’t know how much I needed it and I’m so happy she took her readers on that journey.

UM EXCUSE ME BLAIR WITH THE “GOOD BOY” AND MAKING DENNY CRAWL I WAS GAGGEDDDD🥵🥵🥵 I sat up straight in my bed while reading that part. LIKE EVERYONE SHH I NEED TO FOCUS.

This was truly one of the most beautiful, emotional love stories I have ever read, I was a wreck😭😭 at one point the tears were just flowing and I didn’t even notice because it just felt like it was part of the experience at that point 😂😂

Blair and Denver are EVERYTHING 💓🥹 their love was so cute when they were teenagers, but it was consuming as adults and watching them find their way back to each other and work through the hurt was perfect, that’s literally the only way to describe it. One look at Blair after 14 years and Denny knew this was the chance to get everything he always wanted and he went full throttle from the second they made eye contact. I loved his dedication and how hard he worked to get her to trust him. He was not letting her slip away again 😭😭

I loved the Girl gang and their little friendship group, everyone being together was giving me life.

This was the perfect addition to an already perfect cowboy romance series and I can’t wait for everybody to read it. You guys are gonna love it, but please listen to me when I tell you to have some tissues nearby.

This novel made me want to grab all of the cowboy romances and start a binge read of cowboys! I absolutely adored this second chance romance! Blaire and Denver are two people who gave their hearts to one another over a decade ago and have struggled moving on since their break up. These two are absolutely swoony and Denver was chefs kiss! This novel encompasses real life events, emotions and ties together an amazing romance!
