The best kind of second chance romance is in these pages in this book. A beautifully written story that hits all the feels. I'm thoroughly impressed with this. I mean this author sure hit the mark on writing this, taking care to write it in a way that gives the attention that is needed to address the topics within. Absolutely loved reading.

4.5 stars!!!

I absolutely adored this second chance cowboy romance. The flashbacks to the beginning of our couple’s relationship were so adorable and I just loved getting to see their relationship in its entirety. The relationship between the MMC and his mom ughhhh that broke me💔

I will say the last little 20% dragged for me and I’m not sure if some of that was totally needed, but overall I absolutely loved this!

Well, Bailey Hannah has done it again with this one! Denver and Blair have my whole heart and I love them so much.

Blair Hart is such a strong woman and a hard worker; I admire her so much and wish I could be as amazing as she is. She’s had some struggles, and I can relate to a lot of them since they were mental health struggles, but she was still so amazing and willing to work to get her mental health in check. I admired her willingness to move back to Wells Canyon even though it was hard for her because she wanted to help her family. It was also amazing to see her work through her feelings for Denver during this story. They had a tumultuous history and seeing them work through it together and separately was great because it meant that they could work their way back to each other, too.

Denver Wells has always hidden behind humor because of his history of heartbreak related to Blair and her leaving Wells Canyon, but it was nice to watch him grow in this story and learn that his humor didn’t have to be a mask anymore. Denver was such a great guy and it was amazing to watch him immediately accept Blair back into his life when she came back and work hard to earn her trust and love again. It was also great that he accepted her mental health struggles without a second thought, and then helped her with it when she needed it. Denver was ready and willing to prove to Blair that she could lean on him and ask him for help when she needed it, and it took some time, but Denver never stopped trying throughout this book and I admire his tenacity and effort.

I appreciated how powerful this storyline was, but it had a softness about it, too. It pulled on my heartstrings in such a unique way, especially with Blair’s mental health struggles. I related to her a lot, but it was also amazing to watch her learn to work through them and lean on Denver when she had too much to carry. This was such an amazing example of a second chance romance and I admired both Blair and Denver in how hard they worked together and separately to find their way back to each other and earn each other back since they both felt like they made mistakes in the past with their relationship. Seeing Blair and Denver come back to what they had when they were young was beautiful and gave me all the feels!

I loved this story so much and I loved Blair and Denver even more! They were amazing and perfect for each other and it made me so happy watching them find their way back to each other. I can’t wait to see what Bailey has in store for us next at Wells Ranch!

Thank you, Bailey and Dell Romance, for providing me with an ARC!

Thank you to NetGalley, Bailey Hannah, and Dell for the eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this book so much! I was such a fan of the two previous books and I was absolutely thrilled to receive this arc! I was intrigued by Blair and Denver’s story when I read Seeing Red and this was just such a wonderful story.

I really enjoyed the dual timelines, getting to see them falling in love as teens and then seeing them again as adults, still in love. Denver is so funny!! I really enjoyed their dynamic because they seemed like two goofballs who just lucked out and found their soulmates in high school. And they went thru so much to get to their happy ending. It was so nice to see them communicating and working thru their issues and acknowledging their mistakes as well.

Overall, this book was fantastic and only makes me want to read more from this series! I’m hoping the next book is Colt and Blair’s sister!!

The trope that I am the biggest sucker for is childhood friends to lovers to second chance. I eat it up every single time. The yearning. The flashbacks. Then the eventual reunification.
I read Bailey Hannah's first two books while she was indie, and I have been dying to get my hands on this one. This is her best yet, and I loved both Denny and Blair.
This book was angsty in the best way, and their complicated, tense relationship was handled effectively. The reveal of why they broke up was so realistic that you understood EXACTLY why they broke up, and it didn’t feel trivial in the way so many second-chance romances do.
Denny is the perfect match for hardworking, self-critical Blair. And Blair is the perfect match for Denny’s fun-loving but sensitive nature. Both had so much growth, and their character development was great. The spice was SPICY and at the forefront in the back half of the book.
A warning that this isn’t a light read. Grief is at the forefront, and a major secondary character is dealing with Alzheimer’s.
If you’re a big Elsie Silver or Lyla Sage fan, you must read Bailey’s work!
Thank you to Dell, NetGalley, and Bailey for the opportunity.

Change of Hart is book three in the Wells Ranch Series and was a good one! Denver Wells and Blair Hart met at a young age and became best friends and then in a relationship when they were teenagers. Because of certain situations, Blair left town and hasn't been back for over 14 years. Now she's come back due to her mother's illness and Denver is determined to get and keep his girl! I loved Denver, he was swoony, caring and sweet. Blair was strong, feisty and sweet too! I loved their chemistry and connection. This was a good second chance read!

This is hands down one of my favorite cowboy romance series. This one is a childhood friends to lovers and second chance book. It follows Denver Wells and Blair Hart. They became fast friends when they were younger to best friends to lovers. When both have some trauma in their life they break up. Now years later they are both living in Wells Canyon and are drawn to each other. Denver will do absolutely anything to be back in Blairs life.

I read Bailey Hannah's first two books while she was indie publishing. I devoured them and they became two of my favorite cowboy (not cowboy) romances. Change of Hart was the same. This whole series is wonderful and Change of Hart was no different. Loved the second chance romance and am happy to finally have read Denver's story.

5 ⭐️ A MUST READ SERIES

WHAT TO EXPECT:
✨ second chance romance
✨ forced proximity
✨ dual timelines
✨ jealousy scenes
✨ tension & yearning
✨ HE CRAWLS TO HER
✨ spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🌶️
✨no 3rd act drama

Quick Thoughts:

I loved this book, it might be my new favorite in the series. My god what does Bailey Hannah put in her books?! I swear each one is my favorite. I'm not the biggest fan of second chance romance, but yet again I'm proven wrong. This was so sickly romantic, and Denver truly LOVED Blair with all his heart. I loved how the timeline is written to give context to the build up of their relationship, the break up and the present all at the same time.
I loved:

Light Plot
The main “plot” is the relationship which I will talk about, but the secondary is Blair and her family. I loved this truly because it's not made to be a happy story, it's made to be realistic. It's tragic and painful, and Blair is experiencing happiness with love at the same time as sadness. I truly think it's the perfect balance, and I love how it gave the story just another layer of depth.

Blair
I loved Blair. I loved her feeling of responsibility, her difficulties with Denver’s past and her balancing everything in life. I think she is so realistic in being understanding with age and development of Denver’s previous decisions, but also holding him accountable to gain her trust. I love her decision for herself, and holding true to herself.

Friendship
I really enjoyed that added element of friendship in this book. Cassidy is one of my favorite FMC so I love seeing her in action as a friend. I love seeing all the girls at the ranch in different elements of friendship while cheering on Blair. I loved Whit in the moments with Blair.

Denver
My god. How does she write such great men?! I loved Denver. I loved his yearning and care for Blair. How he truly would do anything for another chance with her. The moment he believes he sees her, he drops everything in the world to be with her. His honesty about how he feels, and how he never thought he would see her again to prove his love. His deep dive into his mistake, and how he knew it was the end of their relationship as teenagers simply because he was young and stupid. I love how he makes it clear how much he supports Blair no matter what choices she makes.

Chemistry
I normally don't write the review and include myself reviewing the smut, but my god the chemistry and scenes in this book. The night of the wedding?! The ice cream scene?! Oh my. I could argue they have the most chemistry in the series. It was so good.

Overall, I am buying this book when it comes out. Bailey Hannah has truly become one of my favorite authors, and I adore this series with all my heart. I can't express enough how this is a must read book.

I still can't believe I was picked to receive an ARC of this book! Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this and I can say without a doubt that this is my honest opinion of the book.

Denny & Blair are without a doubt my favorite characters in the whole Wells Ranch series and my favorite couple, hands down.

I loved how Bailey Hannah flipped between past and present timelines of their relationship. Each moment a switch happened was purposeful, intentional, and well placed. I never felt like when a flashback happened that it threw off the pacing or that it interrupted the storyline. At some points I wanted a flashback before I got one lol.

The flashbacks also helped me understand more of how badly Bennett Wells taking off affected the brothers, but especially Austin. This book does an amazing job of telling a new story while continuing others previously told. It's what I love most about interconnected series. Can someone pick up Change of Hart without reading Alive and Wells and Seeing Red, yes. Should they read the others two first? Not if they don't want to, BUT it has the most emotional impact if they do.

Denny is a golden retriever of man who masks his pain behind a playboy lifestyle and attitude to help those he loves and care of laugh and move on from the pain in their lives. He does it while hiding the pain he's felt since his mom passed, dad left, and everything with Blair went horribly wrong.

Blair has built up walls, with good reason, and makes herself stay busy to not think about her past. She's determined to take care of everyone else so she doesn't have to think about Denny, too bad he's decided that he's done living without her.

I sure do love me a cowboy romance, and Bailey Hannah never disappoints! Change of Hart had everything I crave including angst, second chances, and a cowboy who’s down BAD for his girl. I devoured this book and I loved returning to Wells Ranch!

🤠 Angsty, emotional, and spicy – the perfect blend for an addictive read
💔 Second chance childhood lovers – their chemistry is undeniable, and the heartbreak is real
📖 Dual timeline done right – seeing Denver and Blair’s friendship blossom into love made their present day distance even more heartbreaking and heartwarming. 14 years apart? BRUTAL. But after the reveal? I got it.
🥹 Denver Wells = the ultimate playboy turned devoted man – from the second Blair stepped back into his life, he was done. Watching him prove himself over and over, even when she pushed him away, melted me. These two were soulmates, and I was rooting for them the whole time.
❤️ Alzheimer’s representation – the way Blair took care of her mom was so touching, and I really appreciated how Bailey Hannah handled this aspect with care and realism.
💪 Blair was the eldest daughter to her core – strong willed, fiercely independent, carrying way too much on her shoulders, not ever wanting to ask for help. I felt that DEEPLY. Watching her finally let her guard down and allow Denver to share her burdens? It was so perfect.
🔥 The spice was NEXT LEVEL – My god, the mouth on BOTH of them had me absolutely flustered. Blair praising Denver and calling him a good boy? Yeah, that completely rewired my brain.

Give me second chance romances with hot cowboys all day, every day, and I will be a happy girl. This series has been one hit after another, and Change of Hart was no different. It had everything I love—dual timeline, hot cowboy, emotional moments, supreme spice, and the "it's always been you" vibes I crave. I can’t recommend it enough!

Thank you to NetGalley, Bailey Hannah, and Dell for the eARC of this book.

I freaking adored this book. It's angsty, it's swoony, and it has such great banter. I was so dang close to crying many many times, Bailey truly pulls you through the ringer with this one. Denver wells is truly THE MAN.

4.5 stars! I hadn't read any of the other books in the series or by this author before and was pleasantly surprised. Even though second chance romances aren't my favorite, I love small town/cowboy romances, so I took a chance on this book. For me, this book really balanced the past with the present perfectly! In other second chance romances I've read, there either isn't enough of the past relationship or there isn't enough in the present tense. Because of this balance and the great writing, I was completely bought in and believed Denny and Blair are meant to be. Compared to other childhood sweethearts to strangers second chance romances, I actually didn't hate the conflict that ended their relationship the first time around. This book had heartbreak, great character growth, "it's only been you", lots of angst, found family and spice that was based in emotional connection and small amounts of comic relief. I definitely want to read the first two books in the series now and will read future books by this author!

Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review and for introducing me to this author!

Y’alllll I am NOT well after finishing this! Blair and Denny 😭😭😭 They’re just everything!! Their young love is perfect and heartbreaking. They have been THROUGH IT! I love that while they had been apart for 14 years, in their hearts they were still with each other. Even through the heartache. I loved the current timeline and story, I love that Denny knows exactly how to care for and take care of Blair. This book was heartbreaking and healing at the same time. As you can tell, I loved everything about it!

*I received this book as an ARC through netgalley*

This book was emotionally HEAVY but in such a good way.

Some 5 star reads are just vibes only but I can tell that this will be a story that sticks with me. I cried multiple times while reading and still felt satisfied and content after it was over. Denver and Blair have the most heart-wrenching story but it is beyond worth picking this up.

I’m typically not into dual-timeline books but this one was done SO WELL. All of the flashbacks tie in so seamlessly with the current time that it doesn’t feel jarring or overwhelming like they usually do to me, and I am VERY impressed with how well Bailey threaded the timelines together.

If you need a good cry, a Five-Star read, & are willing to risk going into a book slump, pick this baby up!

It does handle several very heavy topics so definitely make sure to peek at the trigger warnings.

I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion

This book was fantastic! A great addition to the series. I loved that so much if the story also revolved around Blair’s mother and caretaking for her—but then Denny steps in a fills the role of caretaker after previously missing out.

Okay, so this book was cute and fun! The childhood lover to not being together back to lovers is probably one of my favorites cause the dual timeline sets it up in such a good way!

These characters didn’t really have a 32 year old feel like I would think they’re 25 or something. Not to say that 32 year olds can’t have fun but at some points they use vocabulary that I don’t even use.

All things considered, it’s a cute ass cowboy romance!! I need more barrel racing romances
