Thank you NetGalley and Random House Ballantine
What a tear jerker! Loved the characters. Both Denny and Blair need the biggest hugs. These two went THROUGH it! The 14 years that passed between them had nothing on the everlasting love they had for one another.
4.5 stars

Loved this book so much!!! Did I cry? I sure did! But that made me love this book and these characters so much!!!

3.5-4 Stars! A second chance romance that I didn’t hate but I didn’t absolutely love it either. This is the 3rd book in ‘A Wells Ranch’ series but it’s the first book I’ve read from the series and it can be read as a standalone. The main characters are Blair and Denver & I loved them both from the beginning. They were perfect for each other from the start.
Some ‘sexy time’ scenes were just way too much for me. I guess I’m too vanilla. I like a little bit of ‘sexy time’ in my romance read but if it’s too smutty, I get turned off. The one ‘sexy time’ scene, I was thinking, ‘ew, that can’t be sanitary. He better hope he doesn’t get pink eye after that.’ & I started laughing. I don’t know how I would react to that happening to me in real life. Homey don’t play that! I then explained what I was laughing at to my Mom. Some good old mother-daughter bonding over our disgust at a supposedly sexy scene. We had a good laugh at least. Good times.
Communication is key, people! It’s your friend. I didn’t like how either one of them handled themselves in that situation when they were 18 but a little communication reaching out to one another would’ve fixed all their issues, but that would’ve made for a pretty boring book. Just keep this in mind for real life ladies & gentlemen!
I feel for Blair & her family. My aunt was diagnosed a few years ago with early on set Alzheimer’s & it’s been hard to see her memory & personality vanishing in pieces right before our very eyes. It’s not easy to deal with and it must be terrifying for her.
I laughed, I cried, I even rolled my eyes a time or two. I felt all the feels! I like how relatable the characters & their families were. No one’s life is perfect & without sorrow or struggles. I’m glad they got their HEA ending once and for all.
*I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.*

5/5
This was truly one of the most beautiful, emotional love stories I have ever read, I was a fucking wreck - at one point the tears were just flowing.
Blair and Denver are just EVERYTHING. Their love was so cute when they were teenagers, but it was fucking consuming as adults and watching them find their way back to each other and work through the hurt was perfect, that’s literally the only way to describe it. One look at Blair after 14 years and Denny knew this was the chance to get everything he always wanted and he went full throttle from the second they made eye contact. I loved his dedication and how hard he worked to get her to trust him. He was not letting her slip away again - a truly wonderful second-chance romance.
This was the perfect addition to an already perfect cowboy romance series and I can’t wait for everybody to read it. If you love cowboy romances and second chance romances you will love this but PLEASE have some tissues on stand by.

I’ve loved every Wells Ranch book so far, and I was looking forward to Blair and Denny’s love story, but I wasn’t expecting it to knock me off my feet. What a beautiful and healing second chance romance.

Change of Hart is a sweet, swoony second chance cowboy romance, with a dual timeline. I liked the characters. I loved the extended family and small-town vibes. I liked watching them learn to love and trust again, but it had a few too many sexy scenes for me. There were several back to back to back, and it just felt like a lot. (I ended up skipping the last few because I wasn't in the mood for that level of detail.)
It's technically the third in a series, but I read this one first, and I didn't feel like I was missing context or anything.
Thank you to the publisher for the advance review copy.

I’m not sure I’ll ever be over the emotional turmoil this book left me in. I loved their journey all the way through even when I didn’t agree with their choices. This was emotional in all the best ways and the SPICE!? Incredible.

A second chance at happily ever after. These two were destined to be together. The chemistry was there. The hurt and reservations were natural. Love this town and this family so much.

Ohmygawwwwd I cannot believe the day has finally arrived!! 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙩 is OUT NOW!🙌🏻

Firstly, if I could rate a book higher than 5 stars I would rate this infinite! Secondly, I would like to say a massive thank-you to Bailey and NetGalley for sending me the ARC for this AMAZING book! This book discusses heavy topics so I suggest reading to CW list before you start!
Bailey is an automatic read for me and when I say that this book has now became one of my all time favourites EVER, I’m not lying! This book drew me in so much because it didn’t just focus on the Romance, it also focuses on healing after grief and the trust people have in those that mean the most to them.
I devoted this book and can’t get enough of Blenny! Without spoiling anything, in some ways, I feel this connection with both Denny and Blair, they went through some very similar circumstances that I have been through in my life and I feel Bailey has really wrote these to perfection.
- Second Chance
- High school Sweethearts
- Cowboy Romance
- Barrel Racer x Bronc Rider
- Duel Timeline and POV
- Dealing with Grief
- Mental Health Rep
I want to start with mentioning that I was so obsessed with this being a duel timeline, especially since it is a second chance! I loved seeing things before and when they were younger, how they got to where they were now, it was so special and those stories hit me in the heart big time!
I literally felt every single emotion reading this book. When I tell you that this book altered my brain chemistry, oh lord. I laughed because the banter between this is unmatched, I smiled because they are so bloody cute together and I SOBBED like I have never sobbed before (iykyk and if you don’t you will soon find out)
Blenny, oh how I was so obsessed with them! As kids, teenagers and now adults, they were just so loveable as individuals and together. Watching them find their way back to each other was just so special and I cat wait for everyone to read about it. They did it through, smiles, laughs and tears, but it was all worth it in the end. Their dedication to each other was unmatched.
Denver MF Wells. Has he become my new favourite Wells man?? Maybe heheh. His dedication to getting her back was top tier. He knew what he wanted, from a very young age, and he NEVER gave up, even with a few bumps in the road along the way. He is just such a sweetie and so thoughtful in ways not many think of. He owns up to his mistakes, and isnt afraid to go for what he wants. All in all Denver Wells is the IDEAL man.
Blair Hart is such a strong, independent character. I relate to her in such a way, I’m sure we are the same person. The resilience and strength that she had throughout the whole books was amazing and so emotional. I was so obsessed with watching her grow up throughout the book, healing herself and others at the same time. I adored her relationships with everyone else in the book, they all had their own little unique relationships and I was obsessed.
I was so excited to see the others come back. I missed Austin, Cecily, Cass and Red and to see them back was so amazing and I LOVED how they all had such a special part in this book.
As always, I would 1000000% recoupment literally anything Bailey writes, so do yourself a favour and read this book and the rest of the series xox

The way I have been waiting for Denver Wells and Blair Hart, and I finally got them. Bailey did not disappoint with these two and their love story is one for the ages! I am a lover of second chances and this is as true of a second chance as it gets!
Denver and Blair fell in love at 16, maybe even before that, but find themselves over a decade in the future without one another. We’ve seen them cross paths as they share a similar inner circle but we have minimal knowledge of their love story and how they ended up apart. We see flashes of Denver and Blair growing up together and falling in love, while seeing them in the present day finding a way to heal old wounds. While Blair is guarded and not sure if she will ever be able to let anyone in, Denver is wild and throws caution to the wind with life. Though the moment Denver sees Blair for the first time, he is thrown from a horse yet his whole world is thrown back in place because he is back in Blair’s orbit again. Denver sees her and decides right there and then he will never let her go again, vowing to spend his life proving to her that he has always been hers & wants nothing else in this life.
I loved that this was a dual timeline and you could see them growing together and how these past moments would impact their futures. Bailey does an amazing job with her timelines which are so imperative for second chance romances! Their banter is top notch and I love how they both have a little bite to them, really being the perfect match for one another. I loved that they shared memories but also found the time and space to relearn one another as Denver and Blair as friends and again as a couple. They are both so relatable in the way their minds work and the chaos that they bring to life, sometimes both feeling a little lonely and a little too much. These two are so deserving of finding their way back to each other and getting the love they so desperately wanted and needed!
“Change of Hart” does discuss some heavy and emotional topics but they are handled with care and a realistic lens. I appreciated the multiple viewpoints on these topics in the past and present. These topics added a layer of emotion necessary to show how deep their love had always run for one another but also why the time apart was just as necessary.
Thank you Bailey and NetGalley for an early read of this! I am still trying to figure out how to get over Denver and Blair, and accept that I may never! I loved being back at Wells Ranch and seeing some familiar faces, and I can’t wait to see what is to come!
Tropes:

Second Chance
Childhood friends to lovers
Grief and healing

I just adored Blair and Denver's love story. Bailey Hannah is on my must read list now! I can't wait for the next in the series!

ARC Review
Thank you to NetGalley, Bailey Hannah, and Dell for the eArc!
An angsty cowboy romance that will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions.
I laughed, I cried, I swooned.
This book will break your heart, but trust the process because the Happily Ever After is worth it!
The dual timeline in this book was my favorite aspect of this book. It took you on a full journey of Denny and Blair's childhood, how they became best friends, how they went from friends to high school sweethearts, the pain they both went through, their breakup that HURT, and then the current timeline showed the angst and the journey they took to find their way back to each other.
Denny and Blair are the epitome of right person/wrong time, and how you find your way back to your person who is your home.
This is book three in the Wells Ranch Series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Blair & Denny were worth the wait!
Bailey has made her readers fall in love with the Wells Ranch universe and Change of Hart continues to prove that Bailey was made to write small town romance.

Change of Hart
I loved being back at Wells Ranch. I have been waiting for Denver and Blair's story and what a story it is. Something about a second chance romance gets me everytime. Denny and Blair's love story goes back from childhood friends to lovers to heartbroken after a break up 14 years ago to Denver laying it all out there to get his girl Blair back 🫠 Denver Wells is one swoony cowboy that has certainly made his way to my book boyfriend list!
Blair is back in Wells Canyon to help care for her mother. Denny is surprised after all this time she's finally back and he isn't letting anything get in his way of showing her she still it for him. Even though she definitely is putting up her defenses he's determined to be her safe space like she was for him and show up for her in anyway she'll let him.
Denver and Blair's love story is what true love is all about real, raw, sweet, spicy. The hard times the best times and everything in between. Honestly beautiful yet heartbreaking at times. I love a dual timeline because I'm always invested in how they fell in love and how things came to be it's so much more relatable that way.
They had such a deep connection even all these years later that bonded them in a special way and thier love ran deep. They are too cute and the playful banter has me giggling. Chemistry was never an issue for them damn they are a spicy duo like phew I needed some ice cream... Stat! Iykyk
This is that always been you kinda love that can truly felt throughout their story.
I'm looking foward to more Wells Ranch to come but I think it's gonna be hard to top Denver Wells.
Amazing job Bailey on yet another fantastic story. And thank you netgalley for Arc.

Thank you to NetGalley, Random House/Dell & Bailey Hannah for the chance to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
This is book 3 in the Wells Ranch series and I had NOT read books 1 and 2. It was clear in reading this that there was some implied knowledge from the previous books but I DID not feel lost at all coming in at book 3. But reading this did make me want MOAR so I will go back and read 1 & 2.
This is a delicious Canadian cowboy romance. It's not so lighthearted as it deals with many real life issues such as: loss of a parent, caring for a parent with dementia, circumstances that lead to making a choice. Our author has given us a solid content warning at the beginning of the book. I think all of these pieces are handled with care and make for a great story.

Emotional wreck? Yeah, that was me after this book.
This cowboy romance goes deep—grief, mental health, the pain of watching someone you love fade—it all hit hard, but in such a beautiful and respectful way. Bailey truly masters the emotion with second chance in this one; so much so that it *might* top the first book in the series for my favorite!! Add in, first love, "it's always been you" energy, hot af dirty talk, secret tattoos, and a hero who isn't above crawling on his knees to win his girl back?? I was done for.
Blair is everything I love in a heroine—strong, independent, and knows exactly what she wants (especially when she’s telling him how she wants it!). The dirty talk, the history, the emotional weight—it was all so perfectly layered. And Denver? Dear god I need him in my life! He was so far past down bad and his attentiveness to Blair ("Bear" <3) had me ready to get on my knees for him!
If you're into messy, meaningful love stories with heat and heart, this one’s a must. Bailey has such a gift for pulling you all the way into a love story to the point you forget it's fictional. This one is unforgettable. Just… bring tissues. And maybe cancel plans.

I love second chance romances and this one was done perfectly.
Back in Wells Canyon, Blair is helping care for her mom, who was diagnosed with dementia. Along with helping family and friends in every spare moment. Her childhood ex-boyfriend, Denny, sees she’s back and realizes this is his chance to get her back. And THIS MAN. I was swooooning. Blair was the “one who got away” and Denver was determined not to let her go again.
The story alternated between past and present timelines, letting us get the full picture of the complicated relationship. These two were definitely meant to be. The flashback chapters were so sweet.
I cried a couple of times reading this beautiful, emotional story. I related to both of them with the diseases their loved ones were dealing with, and I think Bailey handled it well.
This had so many sweet moments, and some of my fave micro tropes. Also, a moment for the spice… 👏🏼
Forever recommending this series!!

Thank you PRH Audio for the ALC and Dell Romance for the physical ARC, eARC, and finished copy!
Bailey Hannah’s newest release had my crying one chapter and sweating from the tension the next. I’ve really come to love a second chance romance and it’s because of writing like this. Change of Hart is a story of heartfelt longing and deep emotion, with off the chart banter and spice.
I really loved the dual POV and dual timeline in this book. I was able to get a greater understanding for both Blair and Denver in their earlier years and a look into their personal struggles. This allowed me to connect with both of them separately and root for them together
Now let’s quickly talk about the spice! The mouths on both of these characters?! They really do belong together. HE CRAWLS TO HER! *chefs kiss* and let’s not forget the icecream play 🍦
Rock Engle and Savannah Peachwood absolutely crushed it as Denver and Blair, capturing the essence of each character perfectly. Their performance of the dual timeline was seamless and engaging, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the past to present storyline. Their chemistry together was perfect for this book, really making me feel like I was listening to the real Denver and Blair in these scenes
✨ second chance
✨ small town
✨ friends to lovers
✨ dual timeline
✨ he crawls to her
✨ “good boy”
✨ reformed playboy
✨ icecream play
✨ “fuck it” moment
✨ secret tattoo for her
✨ family member w/ dementia

I was really looking forward to Denver and Blair's Second Chance. Denver was so determined to win her back over and I was rooting for him so hard! As we see glimpses of their childhood friendship and eventual fall into love... It hurt to see how they had become separated and how they lost fourteen years they could have had with each other.
Denver had been through so much as a teen, and now Blair is going through something tough too. It's great to watch him be there for her in present day, even when she tries to push him away. There were some TRULY poignant moments.
Unfortunately, I really struggled with a few aspects of their past and also, how Denver is portrayed in the present. I think he got the short end of the stick in a lot of ways. I don't blame Blair for this, as she certainly didn't have a cake walk as a kid and present day is hard too.
I just don't like the trope that was used to break them up as 18-year-olds. I never like when it's used this way. So.. that meant that this book just wasn't for me.
If you love a pining hero, a golden retriever who will crawl for his woman, you will love Denver. Blair was a strong woman and she looks out for herself in the best way she knows how. I respect her for that, even if I don't agree. I think a lot of others will though!
I look forward to Whits's End!
