denny’s blair is so back
I absolutely LOVED finally getting read about these two. ever since I heard about “denny’s blair” i knew I was going to eat them up, and did I ever.
I love Bailey’s writing and this story just proves to me even more that she will be one of my top writers of all time. Watching this love story unfold, watching these two find each other gave, it was beautiful and broken and REAL. A true second chance romance.

Bailey Hannah truly never misses. The tension in her books never fails to be absolutely delicious and a cowboy who is down bad for his woman is something she had down pat. I love her writing style. If I could give her a forehead kiss, I'd give her that biggest one I can muster. I loved this book so much!

So excited to finally read Denver's book after reading Austin and Chase's books. The second chance for him and his childhood love, Blair. I loved the dynamics between them but how once things settled. I enjoyed these two very much. It was nice seeing past characters from Wells Ranch. I absolutely can't wait for Colt and Blair's sister's book !

Wells Ranch Book 3
I love Wells Ranch! I want to live here with all of these fabulous women and hot, rugged cowboys! Please and thank you!
Denver & Blair were the second Chance romance I was most definitely needing in my life. The yearning and pinning that came with their history and years of separation…emotions were absolutely felt hard. Getting to learn their history as childhood sweethearts was so beautiful. I loved those past tense chapters. It really added so much more to their second chance. However, in the present day, Mr. Denver Wells, oh my, this man loved his woman and fought for her when she came back into his life and I was totally here for it. At the same time, Blair was a literal queen! I wanted to give you all of the hugs because of her story. She was so resilient and strong with everything she had faced which made her so inspiring to read.
Tropes:
- high school sweethearts
- barrel racer x saddlebronc rider
- second chance
- forced proximity
- dual timeline
- reformed playboy
- small town
- found family
Thank you @baileyhannahwrites & @netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review 💙

I'm a couple days late because life has been crazy bu it's Change of Hart release week!
"The girl who used to be my everything. It doesn’t seem justified to call her the one that got away. Because that implies she slipped between my fingers; the truth is I dropped her and we both shattered. The animal bucks and I tighten my core, gaze unbroken . When our eyes lock, I lose sense of everything around me. Forgetting where I am, what I’m supposed to be doing. Then I’m moving in the wrong direction and"
As if Austin and Red weren't swoon-worthy enough in walks Denver. Can I buy a Denny from amazon?? His commitment to Blair even after all that time was absolutely adorable.
"My brain is essentially 2,875 sticky notes in a messy pile, so it comes as no surprise that adding one more to the chaos didn’t make the information stick."
Same Blair, same. It's a mess of information at all times.
As if I havent said I a million times you can't go wrong with Wells Ranch series. Alive and Wells, Seeing Red, and now Change of Hart. As always Bailey kills it!

The spice is so good! Also check trigger warnings before reading! Depression and how Blair deals with it is important to the plot. As always, Bailey writes real characters and while I can’t relate to Blair I am able to picture her perfectly and she is just right, just the way she is. I can relate to her when she doesn’t want to ask anyone for help.
This is how you write a second chance romance!! So glad I found Bailey last year, Seeing Red was a top read and Alive and Wells for a top audiobook this year!
This was perfect from beginning to end! LOVED the flashback chapters and seeing how they fell for each other in their POV’s.
Denny is such a good boy & so down bad for Blair! They both never really dated after they break up as teens and work their way back together when she comes back to town.
Blair learns to lean on & trust Denny again.
Denny helps her with everything when she never asks for help (relatable)
Add this series to your TBR, if you are looking for a Cowboy/Ranch romance with sugar, spice & everything nice as well as mental rep.

I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it a million more, second chance is the best! Denver and Blair wrecked me and I loved every second of it. Denver loves hard, and the way he is willing to show Blair what she means to him is everything. The dual timeline was perfect for giving us the full picture of how their relationship evolved as kids, and where it all went wrong 14 years ago. I can’t say enough good things, this was an emotional roller coaster, with the best kind of energy and tension. I love coming back to this world Bailey has created, and can’t wait for the next!

RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Denver Wells, I did not know I was going to fall that hard for you. But I did. I so did.
This book was everything’s a second chance romance should be and more. I loved Blair and Denny so much even though their past selves broke my heart and their own. They fixed it, and my fragile little heart rejoiced.
✨ Small Town Romance
✨ Cowboy Romance
✨ Second Chance
✨ It’s always been you
✨ Acts of Service
✨ Nurse Practitioner FMC
I love a good always been you vibe almost as much as I love a playboy cowboy that takes one look at the one that got away and says “not gonna happen again.” And this one delivered on both.
I have read some amazing down bad heroes, but Mr acts of service Denver Wells said hold my cowboy hat, let me show you how it’s done! Blair was his once and he did everything through both worlds and actions to prove to her that she would be his again.
This book had so much emotion (there are some heavy topics in this one but they are handled with so much care) and if you have ever cared for a sick parent, prepare for a gut punch, but in the best way.
Blair and Denny were both great characters in their own right. But together they were magic. I never want this series to end

“We didn’t break—not completely. Years ago we splintered, but every whispered truth and healing kiss is bonding us back together. Stronger than before, with any luck.”
After moving back to her hometown to take care of her Mom who has been diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s, her ex-boyfriend is really not on the top of Blair’s list of concerns. But constantly on the ranch, where their love bloomed as teenagers, to visit her best friend and new baby niece, the nostalgia of Denny Wells is all around her. Denver’s watching the people around him grow up and settle down and while he’s content to ride broncos and think that type of love isn’t in the cards for him, he’s faced with the reality that it was only in the cards for him if Blair Hart was involved.
After reading Alive and Wells I was interested in picking up the rest of the series and Change of Hart came my way before Seeing Red, so I hadn’t met Blare at all. With that in mind, the first 20% was a bit slow going but then hooked me from there. I enjoyed how Hannah balanced both dual pov and flashbacks for this second chance romance. It’s exciting to see that Hannah’s writing has definitely improved since her debut novel, which is almost always the case. As always, Hannah’s cowboy romance books have depth and cover some heavy topics. The struggles these characters faced together were full of hard times but they loved each other through them, as best they could, and I found that really realistic and relatable.

I'm not sure I will ever recover from this flawless book. And I just have to say that Austin Wells walked so Denver Wells could run. It was such an emotional ride and I loved every moment of it. Denny and Blaire had me sobbing, laughing, swooning. Literally every emotion was felt as I read.

Fantastic second change romance! I adore Bailey Hannah’s cowboys and Change of Hart did not disappoint.
So many emotions with Blair and Denver’s story! I love that we got to see their friendship/relationship development from the very beginning!
Another perfect book from Wells Canyon!

I was very much ill prepared for how much I would adore Denny and Blair. Wells Ranch has been one of my favorite places to visit and this installment has really instilled why. These two, are BY FAR, my favorite couple of the series so far. (Sorry, Cass and Red). I am forever in my cowboy romance era, *hot cowboy sh*t* is forever on my drool list and then Bailey went and threw in childhood best friends to lovers AND second chance?! Stick a fork in me, I am beyond gone for them. Denny, my sunshine boy, that hides behind humor, pranks, and a wickedly devilish charm and smile, feels SO DEEPLY. I felt it in my bones the way he loves Blair, how he worships her. It's an all-consuming, fairytale kind of love that everyone can only wish to find in their lifetime. Blair bear, my independent and intelligent WARRIOR, has been THROUGH it, they both have, as a matter of fact. The way that Bailey wrote Blair makes me feel seen and emotional for all sorts of reasons. Her subtle hints at her neurodivergent tells were so relatable and made me feel so connected with her on a guttural level. She wears a mask to everyone but Denny who she can breathe around and be herself with. When I tell you first hand, when you find that person, there is no greater feeling in the world. It's absolutely no wonder that they were unable to let each other go. When you find your person whether its at 13 or later in life, there is no going back. No one can take that connection away, it is truly unwavering. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I am forever changed by this couple. The heavy topics addressed over the course of their story just makes their HEA so much sweeter. Bailey approaches the topics with such grace and delicacy. They fought so hard for their fairy tale ending and they more than earned it. Their story is raw and emotional but also extremely rewarding and satisfying. (so is Denny's filthy mouth) ;)
Infinite stars for Ms. Hannah and this story.

This series just keeps getting better!! I love Denny don’t get me wrong, but BLAIR…um she’s my new crush. This book had so many emotional moments and I so badly couldn’t wait for them to get their happy ending. I am so obsessed with this family and listen these books are HOTTTTT!

Change of Hart by Bailey Hannah
Quick Take:
A swoony second-chance romance with small-town charm, heartache, and a cowboy who’ll absolutely ruin you—in the best way.
What It’s About:
Fourteen years after running from heartbreak, Blair returns to Wells Canyon to care for her sick mom—and comes face-to-face with the cowboy she left behind. Denver Wells has spent over a decade trying to move on, but when Blair walks back into town, he knows this is his shot to prove their story isn’t over. It’ll take more than charm and chemistry to win her back—but he's all in to change her mind.
What I Liked:
- Bailey Hannah does not miss when it comes to writing the perfect book boyfriend. Denver is the definition of a swoon-worthy cowboy.
- The characters are so well-drawn—flawed, lovable, and full of history you can feel.
- I’m a sucker for a second-chance romance, and this one hit all the right notes for me.
- As with the first two books, this one had all the emotional depth and charm I’ve come to expect from Bailey.
What Didn’t Work for Me (if anything):
- Toward the end, I found myself craving more present-day POVs—some flashbacks felt like they slowed the momentum. That said, it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the story.
Recommended For:
Fans of small-town romance, cowboys with emotional depth, and anyone who devoured books 1 and 2 in this series. Perfect for lovers of Devney Perry or Elsie Silver-style Western romance with real heart.
Thank you NetGalley, Dell & Bailey Hannah for the ARC!

Bailey Hannah is a witch and I fucking love her. This book has me under a spell and I don’t ever want to be released.
Blair and Denver crawled under my skin and their story is one that will stay with me for a long time to come. This is a beautiful second chance romance about two people who are meant for each other but had ideas for their lives growing up, but circumstance and tragedy pushed them in opposite directions. I love stories like this because there’s something so raw about someone seeing you and your best and your worst.
I love a good now/then timeline and Bailey Hannah did such a great job with this one. There was information withheld and the story unfolded in such an expert way for maximum emotional effect. God this is a 10/10 story and, in my humble opinion, her best work to date.

I truly believe Change of Hart is Bailey Hannah’s best work—she put her heart and soul into this. the way that the main character’s stories of loss and grief are so well written that it can’t be anything other than drawn from person experience. I felt the emotions on the page (and it made me cry like 10 times, okay?)
Second chance is one of my favorite romance tropes of all time, and this book is exactly why. there’s something special about an old, broken bond that is reconnected, stronger and better than ever after time and growth has taken place. it creates such a warm, fuzzy feeling that is almost unmatched by any other romance trope.
The author did such a beautiful job writing their stories in a way where it was impossible not to fall in love with Blair and Denver’s love. I will never get over this one, i fear.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dell Books for allowing me an ARC of this book.

I would like to express my gratitude to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for providing the eARC.
This marks the third book in the Wells Ranch series, and regrettably, it has become my least favorite. I encountered considerable difficulty with this installment. While I may be in the minority, I found the narrative to be rather disorganized. The storyline had promise, yet it ultimately fell short in coherence, making it tough for me to form a connection with either character. Although I pushed through to the end, I found it incredibly challenging to motivate myself to pick it up repeatedly.

Blair returns home after her mother falls ill to take care of her. Denver sees his chance to get back his girl. Can they reconcile after the devastating heartbreak from 14 years ago?
This second chance romance really had me in tears at some parts and giggling at others. The reason they broke up in the first place felt believable. I found the flashback chapters to be charming and really set the scene for the reconciliation in the present day. The banter and interactions in the present day just felt a little more stilted and that kept this from being a 5 star. Overall, an emotional and sweet romance where I was rooting for them to get back together.
Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this arc.
