a second chance romance hates to see me coming!! change of hart is quite literally everything to me, i will be accepting zero criticism. denver + blair changed something in me. the dual timeline is so nostalgic, and their love for each other is palpable. i love them.

“i never stopped loving you. it’s never stopped being you for me.”

DENVER WELLS 🙇🏼‍♀️ i have never been so down bad for a fictional man. the constant reassurance and talking through his feelings, the way he never stops showing up for blair when she needs him — even when she says she can do it alone. where do i find a denver of my own?!

“all the years feeling like i was missing something, i was homesick. but not for wells canyon. i was homesick for him.”

i love a strong fmc!!! there were times when my heart physically hurt for blair. she deserves every good thing life has to offer. i love that she went after and achieved every goal she set her mind to, even when it hurt. also!!! good boy x she makes him CRAWL 🥵 i want to be blair when i grow up

“i’m painfully uninterested in any future that doesn’t involve you.”

a big, big, big thank you to dell, netgalley and bailey hannah for providing me with an arc for one of my most anticipated releases of the year. i love you forever. 🫶🏼

Perfect third book for this series. I actually really liked the flashbacks that showed Denver and Blair’s relationship grow. From awkward teens to young adults facing the up and downs of life. As always Bailey Hannah knows how to right the perfect man and Denver Wells is no exception, a reformed small town playboy to the definition of if he wanted to he would. Sometimes love does wait.

DENVER WELLS. I was lucky that my first ARC was this book. I will never get over this story. I laughed, cried, kicked my feet and loved every bit of this book. Denver is by far my favorite in this series so far. Bailey Hannah has made her way to an automatic read from me

4.5 stars

In the third book of the Wells Ranch series, we finally get the story of Denver and Blair. They meet at 13, fall in love by age 16, and find themselves torn apart and heartbroken by 18. Only to come face to face again 14 years later as Denver falls off his Bronc and gets injured.

Blair "Bear" Hart is a nurse practitioner who has moved home to care for her mother with Alzheimer's. Blair is strong and independent and puts those she loves above herself. She is reluctant to ask for help at the determent of herself. As a fiercely independent woman myself, this is what made me fall in love with this storyline. Blair allowing Denny to help her was a true act of love on her part. She knew his need to make things right and care for her was one of the ways Denver needed to show his love for Bear.

Grateful for a drama-free read with the extended Wells family hanging around each other. Loved seeing Red and Cass with Hazel. This series keeps getting better.

What I loved:
- Alzheimer Rep
- Depression Rep
- Dancing in Denny's Room
- Denny leaving his mark on Blair
- No third-act breakup
- Drama free
- Lucy Wells - The ring
- Denny's dimples and bear tattoo
- Life of Wells Ranch - Found family

Thank you to NetGalley for sending me the Arc of "Change of Hart" for my honest review.

Bailey Hannah is truly incapable of putting out a bad book and my god I was so ecstatic to be back at Wells Ranch! I knew from Austin’s and Reds books that Blair and Denny were inevitable but goodness the journey to get there wasn’t easy! I laughed and cried so hard the entire way. The dual timeline was really amazing to have to watch how far these two had both grown up. Talk about right person but waiting for the right time! They’re both such beautiful characters and watching them come back together again was pure joy. Blair is so strong and amazing and dealing with everything she has on her plate was incredible and Denny just wanting to be there for her the whole time was seriously so sweet. I didn’t think anyone could top Daddy Red but Denver might’ve knocked him out of the top spot! Seriously what a beautiful book. One of my favorites of the year so far. An immediate 5 stars! Thank you for always taking us back to Wells Ranch with you Bailey!

It’s about dang time we get to know our Denny! In the two previous books of this series he wasn’t just the life of the party, he was the dang party and honestly… I kind of loved to hate him😅

but wow, I’ve never been so wrong about anything. Denver is the most thoughtful person ever and he would, without hesitation, burn the world down for his soulmate 💕

as you know, the Wells boys lose a parent and I’ll be honest, reading about this in detail was pretty heavy for me because of my personal connection to losing a parent

but Bailey does a beautiful job honoring those memories and connections between the characters which makes all the feelings (and tears) worth trudging through! *If this hits home for you, make sure you check the trigger warnings before jumping in!

A cute cowboy romance! There is no third act conflict though which made the ending drawn out a bit much for me but overall I really enjoyed it!

Denver and Blair's love story was so emotional and so good. The back and forth from past to present really gave a good deep dive into the 1st time they were together and broke up. Understanding the real reason Denver was a playboy goofball was such an amazing journey. His love for Blair is so strong.

MS BAILEY HANNAH, YOU’VE DONE IT AGAIN!! Thank you to Random House Publishing Group & Bailey Hannah for the GIFT that was this ARC!

what a book!! Denny and Blair’s story, and getting back to Wells Canyon, was WORTH the wait!! 😍

Denny is the perfect jokester but serious about his woman MMC, and the way his heart was only ever Blair’s had me SWOONING! And Blair, taking care of everything for everyone always, finally letting her burdens be shared was so so beautiful. I loved seeing the flashbacks to them falling in love as kids as they fell back in love as adults. It was so rewarding to read and I really felt the relationship grow stronger for it as I read.

And the spice 🥵 is so TOP TIER, I will never look at Neapolitan ice cream the same way again.

Bailey Hannah fan for LIFE here! 🙌🏼

“There’s something magical about being with a person who feels so much like an extension of yourself you don’t need to do anything except coexist.”

Bailey Hannah never misses. Every time I read something she writes, I think “wow, nothing can top this!” and then the next novel comes out; “Change of Hart” was no different. This book had me ugly crying in a coffee shop, the feelings that come out with this book are unmatched. I love second chances, and I loved everything about Denver and Blair. Their love told through present day and flash backs really paint the picture to their bond, from high school sweethearts to strangers to whatever they want to call themselves. The “it’s always been you” was strong with this one. 5/5, would read again.

I'm a big fan of second change romance so I ate this up. I enjoyed the flashbacks and I felt like the heartache of a young teen was relatable and familiar. I really enjoyed this!

bailey hannah please please please hire me as your intern. this book was 🥵🤠🥺 in the best way (and absolutely pay attention to the trigger warnings!!!!) For those of you who have wanted (myself included) Denver's book since he was introduced in the wells ranch universe in Alive and Wells. This book was SO emotionally charged, such a tumultuous second chance romance with so many external reasons the couple could be pulled apart, but weren't. What I loved most of all in this book is the way that the best intent was always maintained, even through some incredibly difficult circumstances.

already eagerly anticipating the next book in the series!!

"You call, I come. Always." OK DENVER 🥹🥹🥹

There were so many parts in this that I got emotional. This was really good and I was honestly unsure how I was going to feel with this couple after absolutely LOVING Cass + Red.

Bailey Hannah did such a good job with the second-chance aspect in this. I loved the past tense SO MUCH because you got to really see their friendship/ relationship when they were younger too.

"You. I want you, Blair. If you're the bride, I want to get married. If you're the mother, I want kids." 🥹🥹 Denver loves so hard

I’ve had Bailey Hannah’s “Alive and Wells” and “Seeing Red” on my TBR forever. So when I saw this on NetGalley, I JUMPED on the request form. Thankfully Bailey Hannah and Random Publishing House - Ballantine for accepted me for this ARC. This is a second chance romance and while that isn’t one of my favorite tropes, cowboys are my favorite trope. I’m torn on this boom. I struggled with the daul time line between the present and 14 years ago, I felt it slowed down the story. I wasn’t a fan of any of the time we flashed back. However Denver and Blair’s time in the present were perfection. This is a character driven romance novel with a strong female and a swoony cowboy.

My absolute favorite author. Bailey writes stories you can sink your teeth into. I absolutely loved reading about Denver and Blair. 2nd chance romances are one of my favorite tropes and it is so well done. I love a man that grovels.

Let me start by saying that I love the Wells Ranch Series. Books one and two were quick reads with deep storylines and well-written characters. I see some of this in Change of Hart. The author’s style of writing well-rounded characters continues into this book.

Denny and Blair were both well-written, enjoyable characters. The dual timeline works really well for their story. We meet them as adults and then get to learn more about their past through flashbacks. The pacing of the flashbacks was perfect, with the revelation of the initial conflict hitting at the right moment.

The trouble I had with the overall pacing of the story occurred when Denny and Blair got back together as adults. This felt rushed and there was no real discussion of the reason they broke up 14 years prior. They had a brief discussion about their feelings during their initial breakup as teenagers, but it wasn’t in-depth enough for me to believe that their relationship could have survived once that lust-filled phase of their reconciliation wore off.

I also feel that the content warning “Abortion (discussed, not shown)” was not descriptive enough for the events that transpired. I was unprepared for how in-depth this discussion was. If you are sensitive to abortion as a topic in books, I recommend skipping this one. It’s an integral part of the story, even if it isn’t mentioned until the last quarter of the book.

That said, if you're a fan of strong female characters, mental health representation, second-chance romance, and swoon-worthy cowboys, give this book a try. Just take note of all the content warnings.

I am a sucker for a second chance childhood friends to lovers book and Bailey crushed this. I’ve really enjoyed this series but this book was everything for me. I loved how well paced the dual timeline was, I loved the way their reconnection was realistic and how Denver was patient with Blair and their second chance. As someone who’s lost a parent recently and also had to care for them as an adult, reading about the sacrifices Blair made and the loss Denny felt was super healing and the topics were handled very well. Such a great book I can’t wait for everyone to get their hands on it!

I don’t know that I can ever get over any of baileys books!

Second chance is a hard trope to write and Bailey did it so freaking well. I am constantly blown away by the level of care and thought that Bailey puts into her books.

Something as simple as mentioning a propane fire versus a real fire because it’s the middle of an intense fire season. This is what I like to see in books. It makes them more real. Not to mention the NORMAL jobs. Sure some are fun ones but not all of them.

I know it’s fiction and it’s meant to be fake, but making it more real keeps me interested.

Or is it the numerous amounts of foods Bailey adds into her books!?

Truly though, Denny and Blair have my heart rn. The nostalgia I had reading their story hit me right in the heart. I’m happy they don’t have to experience any more what ifs, instead, they get to live them together.
