Where do I even start? I think the book’s dedication said it all. Denny is the epitome of an attuned book boyfriend. I loved how he really showed up for Blair in such meaningful ways. I’m not a huge fan of second chance romance because I always feel like the backstory is lacking but Bailey Hannah knocked it out of the park with this one. I was rooting for Blair and Denny every second of this book. I laughed, I cried, I blushed. It was a beautiful story. This was my favorite read of 2025 so far.
Thank you Random House Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC.

I am wholeheartedly in love with this book! I'm in love with this story, with Denver and Blair, and with every bit of emotion they had me feeling. This is for sure my new favorite of the series! I've loved every book, but this one just easily slid into first place.
Childhood friends to lovers and second chance tropes are top tier for me and Bailey absolutely nailed them! I was seriously swooning and feeling all the things along with these characters. Not only the romance between them, but the devastating things that they went through with their family members. I definitely teared up a few times.
The chemistry between Denver and Blair was so, so good! Even during their friendship years, I loved getting to see both of their POVs growing up and in present day. Dual POV and past/present timeline are my favorites, because I feel like it really helps to understand the characters and their decisions so much more than if it didn't have those things!
These two really went through it. The events that led to their separation, especially at their young age, were completely believable and heartbreaking. Even that little moment of a reunion after only a year was so realistic, because of course they still loved each other and ugh, I just wished I could change it for them knowing what the future held! Thankfully we get plenty of sweet and spicy moments to make up for the lost time!
What a beautiful romance this is! I just love Bailey's writing and I enjoyed this book so much! If you haven't read this series, start with book one because they're all amazing!

BAILEY. This series is a million stars and owns my heart. I didn’t think anything could beat Chase & Cassidy but this blew me away.

This book may be called Change of Hart, but it captured my Heart! We have childhood friends who are lovers, a second-chance romance, and a sexy cowboy—what else could you ask for? How about a beautifully written story that will make you laugh and cry and fall in love with Blair and Denny and their story? Blair and Denny first met as friends at the age of 14 or so, and then later became each other's worlds. She was there for him when Denny's mom got sick. Then they were broken up and left broken-hearted. Fourteen years later she returns to town to take care of her mother and Denny realizes he is still in love with her and vows to win her back.

What even is a second-chance romance without any angst? This was a very low-angst story. Even the thing that made Blair and Dever break up at one point was barely talked about in depth - one quick conversation and that was it.
I skimmed a lot. I think the story was pretty much concluded very early once they got together. The rest was just.. there. I also found the switch between past and preset in this annoying, because some of the past seemed like just filler, without adding any real purpose to the present story. I had high hopes for this one, unfortunately it didn't really work for me.
Thank you to the publisher for the ARC via Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to Random House Publishing Group & Bailey Hannah for trusting me with this ARC.
I feel so, so fortunate to have gotten the chance to ARC read this one. With Seeing Red having been the cowboy romance that started it all for me, Wells Canyon has always had a special place in my heart and getting to read Change of Hart while the author is getting the series traditionally published feels so incredible.
I have a bit of a soft spot for jokester-type MMCs - something about men letting their inner child out (in a good way) is just really wholesome to me and we got to see that in Denver Wells for sure. And Blair, my heart, is the oldest daughter stereotype to a tee and I could really feel for her and relate to her. I needed BOTH of them to get a break - Blair needed a break from having to juggle a million things and Denver needed a break from being slut shamed so much tbh. But between the two of them (& the hot, hot, hot) smut, I personally was being ASSAULTED with bi panic.
The story is told a bit dual-timeline-y so we get to see the Blair and Denver of today (distant, heartbroken, islands of people) in direct contrast of the 13-18 year olds they were while they were falling in love (and apart.) I think telling their story that way let us feel a bit like we were insiders to the relationship like those closest to them were, and were going "How the heck did this childhood sweetheart love story that I would've bet my last dollar would be endgame turn into two people who can barely be in the same room together?" It was definitely a rewarding journey watching them find their way back to being the love-sick teens under the tree again.

Thank you Random House Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC!

I think The Wells Ranch series has just gotten better as it has continued, this is absolutely my favorite so far. DENVER WELLS, the man that you are. And Blair? she is so raw and relatable.
This book is heavy and romantic and everything in between. Just as I was giggling and kicking my feet, I was also an emotional wreck throughout this entire book.
I am absolutely obsessed and head over heels for our two main characters. Their communication, their passion, their banter, the "five seconds of honesty" bit. I loved every part of their dynamic. Their love for each other and their dedication to one another will stay in my heart forever. I especially loved the flashbacks as they gave so much depth and insight to Denver and Blair and everything that they went and were going through. I felt like I was really growing up with them as the story went on. Going through their whole relationship gave me all the feels.
All in all, I absolutely LOVED this. This book destroyed and healed my soul all at once and I fear I may never be the same and I am perfectly okay with that. I will genuinely and truly think about this book forever.

The way I screamed when NG & RH approved my request for Change of Hart!!!
I tore through the series, intending to read Change of Hart closer to release date, but I started Wells Ranch and couldn't stop. Having read all three one right after the other, I can tell you with 100% certainty that DenverBlair are my faves. I love them so bad, and genuinely I'm so picky about second chance romances!!!
I truly adore the way Bailey writes, from her voice to the intricacies she weaves into her stories.

I love a good cowboy story, so I took a chance on this one even though I had not read anything by Bailey Hannah before. I'm so glad I did! Change of Hart was full of tension and drew me in right from the start. I absolutely loved it!

My favorite book from Bailey Hannah yet! It mastered the tension while still building on so much shared history. I adored Blair and her story.
I’ve never really enjoyed flashbacks in romance books but I think these were done very well. They really made it clear that Denny and Blair were meant to be while still allowing the current timeline to stand on its own and show us their reconciliation.
This book also packs a serious emotional punch. As someone who has experience caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s Disease, I really appreciated how this book handled the topic.

I loved Change of Hart! I adored the characters, and getting to see their depth as the story progressed. I loved the snippets of going back in time, and I thought the reason for the original breakup, since this is a second chance story, was very believable and spot on for their situation. I also loved getting to return to Wells Ranch and hear more about some of my favorite characters. I waited for what felt like forever for Denny & Blair’s story and it was so worth the wait!

Bailey you’ve done it again! I absolutely devoured this! Blair was so freaking relatable. I could feel her struggles and pain. The grief throughout this book had me crying so many times for Blair and Denver. Denver is so sweet, and funny. The way he calls her bear and is always there for her melts my heart! I’m not always big into second chance romances but you won me over with this one! I can’t wait to see what you write next.

Bailey Hannah does it again! Her writing is always so refreshing and fantastic! The storyline was unique (which is rare for someone who read 200+ romance books last year), it tackled some tough topics, anddddd the characters were still so lovable! Also — never thought I’d love a “good boy” but here we are!
Blair + Denny 4ever
Check trigger warnings on this one because it carries a lot of heavy topics.

THIS BOOK! This series actually, but especially this book! Denver Wells is on another level, this rugged cowboy and his heat of gold was everything, this will be hard to top!
I love a second chance romance, Blair coming by back to Wells Ranch gave me so many feelings. The dual timeline gave me all the feels, made for such an emotional journey. There are some difficult topics discussed, so please check triggers!

Bailey has once again proven why she’s one of my all-time favorite authors. Change of Hart is a beautifully written second-chance romance filled with angst, emotion, and undeniable chemistry. Set in the heart of Wells Ranch, this story pulled me in from the very first page and never let go.
The dual POV and dual timeline were executed flawlessly, allowing us to witness Blair and Denver’s love story unfold both in the past and present. As childhood sweethearts, they were each other’s rock through life’s challenges. Now, 14 years after their painful breakup, Blair’s return to Wells Canyon forces them to confront old wounds and lingering feelings.
Denver is the ultimate cinnamon roll hero—determined, patient, and absolutely devoted to Blair. From the moment they reunite (in the most memorable way possible), he is all in, proving to her that he’s not the reckless boy she once knew. His unwavering love and support for Blair made my heart melt. And let’s not forget that scene—Blair taking charge and Denver willingly following? Absolutely iconic. The spice was perfectly balanced with raw, emotional depth, making their connection feel even more intense.
Bailey also handles the book’s heavier themes with grace, adding layers to Blair and Denver’s journey of healing and rediscovery. This isn’t just a love story—it’s about finding your way back to the person who has always felt like home. The supporting cast, especially the girl gang, added warmth and humor, making the world of Wells Ranch feel even more alive.
If you love second chances, emotional depth, and swoon-worthy cowboys, Change of Hart is a must-read. Bailey has outdone herself with this heartfelt, beautifully crafted story, making it one of the strongest installments in the series. Grab your tissues and clear your schedule—this one will stay with you long after the final page.

The absolute CHOKEHOLD this book has on me and will have on me forever. As an eldest daughter, I couldn’t help but see myself in Blair and my gosh was that rough. The amount of love Denny showed to win Blair back would’ve had me folded in a SECOND so I’m unsure how she pushed away his advances for as long as she did. Overall this book has so much heart and depth and I cannot wait to see what Bailey does with the rest of the series!

bailey you were right. this book and denny wells is for the eldest daughter who’s never asked for help. ever. we don’t need help but it would be nice to have it. everything denny did to win back blair would have me on my knees, actually. he knew her so well even after a decade and a half apart. i loved being back in wells canyon. and they just keep getting better and better.
this book covers grief, anxiety, depression, and so many heavy topics while also being witty and romantic. bailey hannah you’re high in the ranking of my queen of small town romances with this one. keep it up.
thank you net galley for this arc! and thanks bailey for seeing the eldest daughter and giving her some love.

This book pulled me in from start to finish, Bailey Hannah is quickly on her way to becoming an auto-by author for me.

I'm a sucker for a swoon-worthy small town romance and the author really exceeded my expectations with this one. I loved reading Blair and Denver's story, I think it's probably my favorite book in the series so far.
It was as emotional as it was heartwarming, I really appreciated being able to see the main characters story through told through flashbacks. It gave great insight as to how far their relationship progressed from the start to the present. Dual POVs and Dual timelines (past & present) are two things I really enjoy in a book.
I will absolutely be recommending this book and can't wait to pick up a copy for myself when it's released!
Thank you Bailey Hannah, Net Galley and Random House Publishing Group- Ballantine | Dell for providing me with an ARC of this book! All opinions in this review are my own.

Change of Hart is a second chance romance between Denver and Blair, childhood friends to lovers. Blair moves away for school and returns home nearly 15 years later to help her family, and she's dreading reuniting with her ex, Denver. Overall, I enjoyed this story. It is the third in a series, but it can be read alone. This might be one of the most standalone series books I've read. The characters from past books are mentioned often, but you don't need to know anything about their stories to understand what's happening in this book. I really enjoyed how much Denver was willing to do to show Blair that he has grown up and doesn't want to lose her a second time. Blair was hard for me because I feel like she flopped too easily, and she went from wanting to take it day by day to being ready for marriage super quickly. There were also parts of dialogue that were repetitive. Despite those things, though, the relationship between Blair and her mother made me tear up toward the end. Denver and Blair are a very sweet couple, and I did end up enjoying this second chance romance. I just didn't enjoy it as much as the other two books in this series.

Bailey Hannah has truly impressed me with her latest masterpiece, "Change of Heart"! Every one of her books is a gem, but this one really takes the cake! From the very first page, I was captivated. The dual timeline kept me on the edge of my seat, skillfully weaving together the past and present in a breathtaking manner. I laughed out loud and found myself wiping away tears—it was an emotional rollercoaster! This book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys cowboys, second-chance romances, emotional healing, dual timelines, and heartfelt stories!
