I gobbled this up & finished it within a day.
It was so beautiful. So emotional. So angsty. I was WRECKED. Literally cried so many tears. Childhood friends to lovers + second chance does it for me every time!! & the dual timeline?? Chef's kiss.

Denver was such a lovable golden retriever MMC. I'm obsessed. He knew what he wanted and worked for it!!

And Blair!! Such a strong FMC. I wanted to reach through the pages & hug her. But I also wanted to be her. I mean, calling Denny a good boy and making him crawl for it?? HELLO.

I just love this series so much. I read Alive & Wells last summer and I've been hooked on Bailey's writing ever since.

Thank you to Dell Romance for the ARC.

ARC Review
Change of Hart by Bailey Hannah
Wells Ranch - Book 3

I have been waiting for Denver and Blair's story after hearing the bits and pieces from the prior two books. The dual timeline is something that can definitely be distracting if it is not done well, but it was such a perfect way to bring this story to the reader.
Denver knew that if he ever had another chance, he would never make the mistake of letting her go again. This man was absolutely OBSESSED and I was here for it.
The way Blair slowly opened herself back up to him was absolutely beautiful. And the spice was EXCELLENT.

Pick this one up if you enjoy:
* Small town romance
* Cowboy romance
* Return to hometown
* Second chance
* High school sweethearts
* Barrel racer x bronc rider
* Reformed playboy
* So much pining

I’m literally obsessed with this series, I loved being able to read book 1 and 2 right before reading this one, and honestly I’m a huge fan of Bailey Hannah now, these were my first books by her and they won’t be my last! I love the Wells family and the different personalities, dynamics, and relationships between the Wells brothers. Denver is the fun, outgoing, perpetually single brother who is sowing his oats and playing the field cause he never got over his ex, Blair and when she moves back to town, he immediately steps up.

The book flips between Blair and Denver’s teenage years and the present, which allows the reader to read their whole story, between falling in love as kids, falling apart due to adult problems, and then get back together and realize how much they never stopping loving each other. I loved their 5 seconds of honesty and the rawness it allowed them to be around each other and say the worst things out loud, it allowed them to communicate and get through the hard memories. These two are just so supportive of each other and so so cute, I couldn’t not love this book!

Change of Hart was such a perfect read that I could not put it down at all! Not only was it a great read I freaking LOVED the second chance trope and who doesn’t love a friends-to-lovers cowboy romance?? Like hello, that’s the perfect combination.

Bailey Hannah does not disappoint when it comes to cowboy romances, she sure knows how to bring us the perfect stories with characters we fall in love with.

Blair Hart and Denver Wells were made for one another and you see that through the entirety of the book. It was nice to see flashbacks between the two of them so we could see into their past to bring more understanding into their relationship. Not only were there some emotional moments but some happy and cute moments between the two and not to mention the spice was hot and had me blushing!

I highly recommend this book to others who are looking for a fun, easy read with such lovable characters and side characters that bring everything together nicely.

Thank you to both NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for the arc!

Thank you to @prhaudio for the #gifted ALC. Thank you to Random House Publishing, Bailey Hannah and NetGalley for the ARC for an honest review!

I really enjoyed this second chance romance. Blair left town 14 years ago and recently had to move back to help her family. While home, she’s attempted to avoid the only man she’s ever loved — Denver Wells. I really liked Blair. She was a great friend and daughter, however, she’s never really had someone who could be there to take care of her. I loved getting to experience her past through the dual timeline and getting to see how her friendship with Denny started. I thought her relationship with his mom was the sweetest.

Denver Wells is the local playboy, until the love he once lost returns home. Sometime’s it’s hard for me to like a second chance romance especially with a reformed playboy, however, I really loved how Bailey did it in this book. I enjoyed the fact that once Denny saw Blair again, he knew he wanted her and only her. He was the biggest sweetheart and was also very understanding of Blair’s lack of trust in him, since she was told all about his playboy ways. Getting to hear his past through the dual timeline was also really great to listen to. I loved getting his perspective on their friendship and relationship.

These two were really good together. I love how they communicated with one another. I enjoyed that there wasn’t any miscommunication or drama with other people. Getting to hear about their past together made their happy ending that much sweeter.

It was also fun getting to hear about the rest of the couples from this series. I cannot wait for At Whit’s End. I would recommend this book, especially if you love a dual timeline, second chance, reformed playboy, high school sweethearts cowboy romance!

The Wells Ranch series has been one of my favorite series to date and Change of Hart was 1000% worth the wait!

I’m a sucker for a second chance romance and the dual timeline allows you to see Denver and Blair build their relationship starting as childhood friends

I loved being able to see their relationship continue to develop and grow especially after their time apart

I definitely recommend reading not only Change of Hart but the rest of the series if you haven't had a chance to read it!

I don’t know what Bailey Hannah put in this series, but if I could pack my bags tomorrow and move to Wells Canyon, my family would never see me again. (Just kidding, you all can come visit.) I knew this was going to wreck me, but my god you fall so in love with them that you feel every emotion they do. Second chance only works for me when one of them is all in from the start, and when I tell you this man falls off a horse and sends texts FROM THE AMBULANCE ending every fling he has when he spots her for 2 seconds. Denny is the level of swoon and dedication I need from every second chance mmc!! Blair was incredible, so intelligent and watching her find herself and realize that she’s been so strong all along had me so emotional. I cannot recommend this series enough, this family is so special and I love how much of past couples we still get.

Blair Hart went away to college and never returned because of the heartbreak by Denver Wells, the boy she loved. She has a great job, friends and an apartment she loves, now. When she gets the news that her mother has falling ill, she knows she needs to return home to Wells Canyon. She’s there for the duration of her mother’s illness. At least she has a job in town. It’s been thirteen years that she has been avoiding Denver. Now if she can control her heart, she’ll be okay. Denver has an accident at the rodeo and Blair is on call there. She rides with him to the hospital and he’s glad she’s there for him. Blair is the only one for him. Sure he dated a lot because none of them were her. What will happen now? They walk around on eggshells because of their chemistry. Blair isn’t interested because she has so much on her plate. Can Denver prove that he’s there for her? Can he ease some of her problems? She hates to ask for help. Can she trust him again? Can he trust her? This couple deserves a second chance. Will they get it? Can they leave the past behind and move forward to their future? I was rooting for them. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily

Men written by Bailey Hannah are my kryptonite. I swear. And second Chance romances are the angst I looooove to dive into. I loved this book so so much. Just perfection—the emotions, the heat, the rediscovery of love and snippets of them falling in love the first time 😭 I ATE IT UP.

What an emotional read! I loved so many parts of this second chance from Bailey Hannah. I really enjoyed all of the past tense chapters to help you really get a feel for their relationship back in the day.

I absolutely fell apart around the 75% mark and really felt for, and can relate to Blair. I also understand why Denver left.

3🌶️

As always, Bailey Hannah wrote an emotional story that really made me feel like I was apart of their world and apart of Wells Ranch. I can’t wait to see what she has in store next!

Change of Hart was worth every single second we waited since Seeing Red and I just 🥰🥰🥰🥰

From pranksters as children to pillars of strength for each other through their teen years and now as adults having to make sense of their feelings for each other that never quite went away, Blair and Denver’s story was everything I needed in a childhood friends to lovers + second chance romance.

Blair, my independent queen, and Denny, my little simp, are a perfect match, balancing each other when necessary and complementing each other always — and that chemistry!!! We see these two go through devastating moments and heartbreak then put themselves and their relationship back together after 14 years apart. Truly a gem of a second chance romance.

Thank you Random House -Ballantine/ Dell Publishing for this early copy.

This is why second-chance romance books are one of my absolute favorites. I was fully immersed in Blair and Denny's story from chapter 1. I loved the dual timeline and getting to see them both as teenagers and adults. This story was emotional, angsty, and written very well. You can't help but root for the MCs to make their way back to each other. and Denny is the literal definition of "if he wanted to, he would."

If you love a small-town, second-chance cowboy romance, with no third act break-up. you need to pick this one up <3

What a sweet second chance love story. Blair and Denver were childhood friends to sweethearts but Blair let Denny go. And stayed away after. But now she is back in Wells Ranch and Denver is not letting her walk away again.

Denver is so sweet at showing his love for Blair! The little things he does to make sure she knows he is there for her! This is a sweet love story !

Oh my heart. I don’t even know if I have the words. I devoured every second of Denver & Blair’s story. It’s been over a decade since they’ve been together, but Blair’s suddenly back in town, and they can’t avoid each other anymore. From the first glimpse of her again, Denver’s been all in on getting his girl back, and I ate. it. up. He’s not letting her go again, and I loved every second. These two have a world of hurt between them that they have to navigate to be able to move forward, and oh the grief hurt. This one brough big feels, which brought plenty of tears. I loved watching Denny show up for his girl time and time again, determined to show her that it’s truly always been her. My heart ached for Blair and how she took on the weight of the world. She felt all too familiar in the struggle to ask for help and to actually use the people around when things get too hard, but Denny proved he’d be there, and I loved watching those walls come down. I really don’t know how else to say that I just loved this one. Denver & Blair have always been end game–everyone around them could see it–and my heart is so happy that these two found their way back to each other.

Just for giggles- this was my immediate review when I absolutely binged the book back in February when it hit my kindle-

“BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES. DENVER WELLS CAN DO NO WRONG. I’ll come back and write a full review later. Right now I’m CRYINGGGGG.”

Then I went back and read it AGAIN. This book is filled with so much angst and emotion. Has you laughing, CRYING, and going through everything right with them.

Denny and Blair are the definition of childhood best friends. They fell in love when they were young and went through so much together. Then they went through something that ended up breaking them apart.

We get a dual timeline (I LOVE) where we see their past and then now 14 years later when she shows back up in town to stay… and he falls off of a horse when he sees her 🤣🫣

Blair had reservations due to Dennys playboy ways and she’s pretty sure he even has a girlfriend at the their first meetup with her back in town… but he’s DOWN so hard for her as is she for him and it’s a beautiful adventure with them.

•small town • childhood friends to lovers • second chance• found family • reformed playboy • reformed playboy• cowboy romance

I enjoyed this second chance cowboy romance. Denver and Briar were perfect together. The flashbacks were so well done in this book. It was the perfect mix of flashback and present day. This was my first Bailey Hannah book and it won't be my last.
