I am so obsessed with how this series ended. It gave all the closure I needed, wrapped everything up with a bow, and still had me feeling every single emotion. I laughed, I swooned, I might’ve gotten a little misty-eyed. This was way more than just a romance. It packed such a lovely punch with themes of trust, growth, and learning how to get out of your own way emotionally. Big life lessons in a sparkly romance package. Loved it.

Misha and Felicity? Absolute stars. Their banter was so on point I was giggling and kicking my feet like a teenager. The chemistry, the tension, the way they challenged each other but still cared so deeply. I live for this kind of dynamic. Enemies to lovers but with depth and care and actual stakes. Perfection.

Jas and Kendrick were sweet, but I didn’t feel quite as connected to them this time around. Still, they had their moments, and I really appreciated how both Kendrick and Misha actually respected their partners. More romances need this level of emotional maturity. Like yes, please give me the feelings but also give me people who talk about them.

Now Brie. Sweet, iconic Brie. I just wanted one more moment with her. A little chapter. A peek into her world. Something to seal the deal and make my heart fully happy.

Okay, real talk. I was counting down the days for this book after finishing Beneath These Cursed Stars. That ending had me absolutely feral. So it was a bit of a bummer when the beginning of this one wrapped up all the tension too quickly. The pacing felt a little off and some parts dragged. I honestly think if the conflict had been stretched out a bit more, the whole thing would have landed harder.

That said, the love is still real. The characters are unforgettable, their struggles hit deep, and the emotional beats had me fully invested. I’m a little heartbroken this series is over, but I’m also so thankful it ended on such a strong note.

Also, can we start labeling spinoffs more clearly? I was lucky I read the original duology, but it would be so nice to know going in.

After the third book I had little patience waiting for this one. The third book ended on a cliffhanger and emotional turmoil. I was truly worried it wouldn’t get the happily ever after that I wanted it to have. Luckily-it did.
Lexi Ryan created a character that a lot of women can finally relate to. Not just her personality and the validity of her feelings, but her looks as well. We have a main character who is flawed and behind to recognize the flaws that make her undoubtedly who she is and the flaws that she needs to work on to be a better person and friend.
The romance in this book is just enough for a YA to keep the plot going without making it seem too much like an adult romantacy.
I loved some of the little surprises we got throughout this book. Lexi Ryan didn’t have that as much in the other three. I look forward to more books my Lexi Ryan and plan on reading her previous books, even though they weren’t fantasy.
Thanks NetGalley for giving me this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Between These Broken Hearts was one of my most anticipated books of this year and the conclusion to this did not disappoint. Based off the events that happened in the last book I had no idea how Jaslyn or Felicity were going to get out of the situation they were in. I truly loved how we saw both characters grow and learned to appreciate their minds and bodies. This story truly dealt with anxiety and depression and trauma so well. There was some good romance - not particularly spicey- but they both felt a bit rushed. Wished we would have had a bit of each of these characters stories of what they went through in the previous duology. (We knew that Jaslyn was held and tortured but I would have liked to have had a deeper connection to Hale.) the dual pOVs was wonderful in how we learned about Jaslyns past and I loved how it eventually gave us two HEAs in this book. This duology and the one that came before by Lexi. Ryan are some of my favorite romantasy’s in recent years and I highly recommend these stories.

I absolutely adored the first two books In These Hollow Vows series. So, I thought I’d enjoy the spinoff centered around the sister Jas. It just wasn’t the same for me. It did not capture my attention like the previous books and I had to force myself to keep reading. It is kind of like the author decided to add on extra books due to the popularity of the original SO these two additional books lack in substance compared. It’s like they were an afterthought so they fit the plot/world but it’s giving forced. .

LEXI RYAN DID THAT!!!

Ugh. I was literally so stoked when I found out we were getting a whole duology of Jas (and Misha) and this absolutely did not disappoint. Lexi does such an amazing job incorporating the complexities of depression and anxiety into her writing and I truly felt like it was so well handled. I think this is 100% a story that is going to help people feel less alone when they find themselves stuck in the dark.

Thank you SO much for giving me the honor of reading this one early. <3

Book Review: Between These Broken Hearts by Lexi Ryan
Rating: 4/5

Lexi Ryan delivers an emotional punch with Between These Broken Hearts, a story filled with longing, second chances, and the ache of unresolved love. This contemporary romance dives deep into heartbreak and healing, while still serving up the kind of chemistry and drama that will keep you turning pages long into the night.

The main characters are beautifully flawed, navigating past mistakes and buried secrets with a raw vulnerability that feels authentic. Ryan’s strength lies in her ability to craft emotionally resonant scenes—you feel every stolen glance, every painful memory, and every tentative step toward forgiveness.

The romance is second-chance at its finest—messy, passionate, and ultimately hopeful. If you love stories where characters have real history, unresolved tension, and a whole lot of heartache to work through, this one will hit the mark.

Spice Level: Moderate to high—emotional intimacy blends with physical connection perfectly.
Perfect for fans of: second-chance romance, emotional angst, and small-town love stories with big feelings.

I really enjoyed this whole story and thought this was a nice ending to the story. This is the fourth book in the These Hollow Vows series. The first two books follow the older sister Bree and the last 2 follow her younger sister Jasalyn and an Eco who can shift into other peoples forms named Felicity.

I really love the relationships that are built upon from the first book between Jasalyn and Kendrick, and Felicity and Misha. The banter between both couples is great and I enjoyed watching both relationships develop.

I thought the themes of healing and anxiety/depression were well written and portrayed. I loved the arc that Jasalyn had. She really went on a journey of personal growth and healing throughout these two books to the end.

I was satisfied with the ending of this series and thought these books were a fun read! Thank you so much to NetGalley and Harper Collins Children’s Books for the providing me the digital ARC of this book.

Between these Broken Hearts is the second book in this YA Duology. Stakes are high from the start, and I was hooked at page one. Racing against time to stop the return of an evil that will destroy everything, while fighting their own inner battles, I found it impossible to put this book down! Lexi Ryan writes characters that feel like close friends, so when their hearts break or their plans fail or when they do something particularly badass, you are right there feeling all the feelings along with them.

We have mental health rep, magic, some political intrigue, romance that will have you begging to give these characters just a moment of peace, and a beautiful story about all the different journeys people take to find who they really are. For fans of FMCs like Nesta Archeron and Kat Ferrers, these characters will make you laugh with their snarky comments and cry through their struggles, and you won’t be able to keep yourself from turning the page to find out what happens next.

Thank you so much for this review copy. I was obsessed with the first 2 books and was so excited when I was able to secure a copy of this. I am in love with all of the characters and the plot. The authors writing is something I have also enjoyed as well, Lexi has a way of gripping you into the story and never wanting to leave. When this book is released im 100% going to reread the whole series and even annotate.

Between These Broken Hearts was absolutely incredible. I loved this just as much as the first book—maybe even a little more—and it was the perfect ending to the duology. Lexi Ryan knows exactly how to deliver all the angst, heartache, and healing I could ever want in a story.

The emotions in this book felt so raw and real. The characters' growth, the twists and turns, and the deep, messy love between them kept me completely hooked from start to finish. Every moment felt earned, and the resolution was so satisfying while still staying true to the emotional journey they had been through.

It’s rare for a sequel to live up to such a strong first book, but this one delivered everything I hoped for and more. I know I’ll be thinking about these characters for a long time.

Truly a perfect finale. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. 💔❤️

I got to be honest, this was a 3.5 for me. For some reason this one didn't quite work for me. Maybe it was the choppy format. Between Jasalyn and Felicity it made it hard to keep up between them, especially with Felicity still taking Jasalyn's form still.

There was a lot of character growth, they both seem to finally accept themselves. And their roles, both prophesied and to be revealed. And reconcile with their families. But it has a nice resolution for all the characters involved.

I really loved all the other books in this series, and the characters, even the first book in this spin off duology, but this last book felt both like there was more that should have been let out sooner, and it felt a bit rushed and condensed in the end. Not a solid as I wanted.

This was such a great end to this series! I loved the dual pov even if at times it drove me crazy being left on mini cliffhangers to bounce over to the other pov for a bit. Loved all the side characters and the found family. At times it felt like this book was trying to do too many things, but the ending was satisfying and brought some of those seemingly random/pointless points together. The plot was fairly predictable and everything tied up nicely in a bow at the end, but I didn’t much care because I was along for the ride and just having a good time. This book had more spice than I expected for a YA book, so just know for younger audiences (not explicit but there are multiple sex scenes and references).

Disclaimer: This is book 2 in a duology series. However this was a spin off of the These Broken Vows duology and highly recommend reading all of them. This review contains spoilers for the previous books. With that said, if you do not want spoilers here is a quick review. Read this series both of them. Such great books.

Between These Broken Hearts picks up months after the cliffhanger in Between These Cursed Stars. Jasalyn and Felicity both wake up and discover that they have been asleep for months. Jasalyn has been recuperating from the drain of the ring took on her and Felicity’s brother has placed her in an alternate reality. When they both wake up and realize that months have gone by they are freaked out to say the least. Jasalyn now has less than two weeks to save herself from the deal she made with the witch and Felicity has no clue why she is still alive considering her father and brother have her captive.

Eleven days that is all she has. Jasalyn had eleven days to find the evil fae fake king Mordeus and kill him or find the witch she made the deal with. Eleven days until her life is over. When she made the deal she was all for giving up her life, but the last few months have showed her that she wants to live. Even more Kendrick has showed her she wants to live. So she sets out to finish what she started. When Kendrick finds her and brings her back to the Shadow court and her sister, she realizes that she needs to accept their help.

Felicity is living in an alternate reality. One where she is close to her biological brother and she is being courted by none other than the King of the Wild Fae, Misha. When she wakes up and sees she is being held captive by her brother and that Misha is no where to be found, she questions why her father has kept her alive. When she gets answers she’s been searching she is more confused than she was before. Once she reunites with Misha, her brother and their group at the shadow court, she must figure out how to defeat her father and save Kendrick from the oracle’s prediction.

This was a great end to this story. From the first book to the last sentence, I was hooked. This is a YA read and has very little spice, but the plot of the story as well as the love stories kept me reading. This is a definite recommend in my book.

It was quite a lot of excitement and twists and turns in this book. Glad how it all turned out in the end.

unfortunately i will be DNFing this one. I loved the first two in this series but i’ve been having a hard time just getting back into that world but on her sisters side. I may try again after release date to see if I can pick it back up.

There is nothing that Lexi Ryan writes that I dislike. Nothing.

This was the continuation, and I love it. I really enjoyed the connection between the characters as well as the overall atmosphere of this world. I found the ending to be exactly what was needed to end the duet.

Between These Broken Hearts is the fourth installment in the These Hollow Vows series and I loved the way this book was able to wrap up the story lines for these characters. I thought it was the perfect ending for characters that I’ve really grown to love! We saw some romance, and of course the action / adventure of a compelling fantasy story. But I think most importantly there was a powerful message intwined about forgiving one’s self and healing.

I really loved Jas’s character arc in this installment. While the first book really focused on her need for vengeance and her romantic connection with Kendrick, in this story we learn more about her time in Moredeu’s dungeons and the role kendrick played in keeping her alive there. I think all of these details give us way more insight and understanding into why she chose to take the ring and become the Enchanting Lady. We also see her go off on her own and really start to come face to face with who and (spoiler alert) what she is. I think all of these steps in her story are so important to her finally accepting herself and her magic! It’s an important lesson and I’m glad we got to follow along on Jas’s journey to discovering herself and the life she deserved to live.

We also learn so much more about Felicity and King Misha in this story. And I love a good enemies to lovers trope! Felicity was one of my favorite characters in the first half of this duology and I’m really glad we got to learn more about her backstory and meet more of her family. I thought her backstory was really compelling and I could have read an entire book about her story alone! But I really loved getting to see her and Misha reconnect after she stopped pretending to be Jas.

Over all I really loved this book and the characters! They story was compelling (I couldn’t put it down) and while I feel like I could read another entire book in this world, I am happy with the way it all came together and ended for this characters!

Thank you to NetGalley, HarperCollins and Lexi Ryan for an advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

The first book in this duology was fun (even if it wasn’t anything unique), but this one really dragged for me. My biggest issue was I wasn’t invested in any of the characters or romances, so neither storyline was super intriguing and I found myself not caring how it ended. At the end of the day, I was never itching to pick this up, hence why it took me so long to read it.

4 stars!

this was such a great end to this duology!! i really enjoyed reading this and liked it way more than the original duology. i feel like some of the problems early on could have been solved by writing a letter (looking at you jas) or by communicating clearly. felicity was my favorite pov in the first book and im so so glad she got more page time in this book! i think parts of the ending were a little rushed but other than that this was pretty great!!

thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins Childrens Books for this gifted arc!

Thanks netgallery for sending an ARC for one of my most anticipated reads!! Love this series so much and solid conclusion to the duology. The plot is a little slow but I enjoyed it nevertheless.
